Jaden was so happy to see Luna. "Wait a minute," he said.
He then went upstairs, took a light green long-handled umbrella, and placed it over Luna's head. "Now, let's go."
"I really like this kind of umbrella. It's antique and poetic." Luna praised. She was delighted every time she saw it. She wrapped her arm around Jaden's and signaled that she was ready to head out, too.
Seconds after that, Luna's body stiffened slightly.
'What are you doing? How can you hook on to his arm just like that? Isn't this what only couples do?' Thoughts dashed through her head.
Luna wanted to pull her arm back, but Jaden's face showed nothing amiss. He didn't seem to notice what she had done. If her reaction was too big, she would feel like she had exposed her intentions again.
'Never mind, since there's no one else here. I need to be calm and forthcoming,' she thought.
The two of them held an umbrella and walked out of the house together.
The crew who were checking equipment and taking test shots on the field were speechless.
Although the crew was already used to seeing them two being close to each other, they thought Jaden and Luna went a little too far today.
The director's eyes lit up. He slapped his thigh excitedly. "Hurry up and take a photo of their backs with the telephoto."
The photographer was very experienced. He didn't need the director to remind him and had already aimed his professional camera at their backs.
When Luna was with Jaden, her state of mind was especially good. She would have this natural and lively expression, an extremely vibrant charm in her eyes, and she somehow becomes very photogenic and compelling, even impressing the critical high-definition cameras and close-up shots.
The photographer did not go any closer, much less take a direct shot at Jaden.
Jaden still didn't like being on camera, but he was fine with showing his back and being shot from afar.
He and Luna walked through the vegetable field.
Although it was winter, there were still a lot of vegetables growing in the field.
These vegetables were covered in white antifreeze bags. There were yams, asparagus, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and so on.
Not far away stood a few greenhouses. There were tomatoes, chives, garlic sprouts, lettuce, spinach, and so on growing in them.
Luna felt happy every day when she saw these vegetables. She felt that they were filled with vitality and contributed to the greenery.
Her body stiffened again.
'So, I'm green, like immature?' Luna shook her head to shake off this thought.
She then asked Jaden the usual. "What are we having tonight?"
She raised her head slightly with an expectant look on her face. She looked exactly like a cute but hungry little child crying "What are we having tonight?"
That tickled Jaden. He replied, "I'll cook whatever you want."
Luna immediately said, "Broth! I want broth for dinner!"
Jaden nodded. "Alright, pick whatever you want to put into the broth."
Luna immediately squatted down and extended her hand to the best-looking radish. "Pull out the radish! I want to pull out the radish! This fresh and yummy radish!"
In the past, she didn't like to eat radishes because it was a little bitter and tasted bland to her.
However, the radishes grown by the Donovan family were especially delicious. They didn't have the faintest bitterness but had soft sweetness. Any soup or broth would taste fantastic if these radishes were added to it.
Luna had become a pro at spotting good-quality vegetables. She could tell at a glance that the radish she chose was the best among the rest and was the most tasteful one.
Jaden bent down and took her hand. "Wear an extra pair of gloves."
He took a pair of plastic gloves from his pocket. "Put them on."
Luna was already wearing a pair of thin velvet gloves. The plastic gloves Jaden gave her were larger and could be easily worn over her thin velvet gloves.
She chuckled, put on the gloves, and happily dug up the soil and pulled out the radishes.
Jaden stood beside her with the umbrella. He didn't help her but watched her pull it out.
After pulling out the radish, Luna looked left and right. There was nothing she could use to carry it. She patted the soil off the radish and stuffed it into Jaden's coat pocket.
Jaden didn't say anything and let Luna do whatever she wanted as long as it made her happy.
Luna pulled out another radish and then hooked her arm around Jaden's. "Let's go to the greenhouse to get some chives. We'll make chive and cream cheese toast tonight."
Around 600 feet away from where they were standing, Linda hid behind a few bare trees. She was observing them through a pair of binoculars and was filled with hatred and jealousy.
'There are only a few days left until Christmas. Why is that woman still here?
