'Jaden?' Luna thought, slowly raising her head. She was so shocked that her sunglasses slid down her nose, revealing a pair of stunned eyes.
She wasn't napping, and her cold had healed. She wondered how she could see Jaden. It had only been five or six minutes since she called Jaden. She couldn't understand why Jaden was already there.
Jaden seemed to have seen through her thoughts and smiled. "I drove my brother to the airport. I received your call just as he boarded the plane."
Luna was speechless as she thought, 'This is indeed fate.'
A spring rain-like joy grew in her heart. It was dense and tender, but it nourished everything.
Luna smiled and stood up. "You drove Zayn to the airport?"
"No." Jaden shook his head. "Zayn left for the crew the day after Christmas. I drove Joshua this time. He was going to Aeloria to settle some private matters."
"Oh, what a coincidence," Luna said. "Initially, I was sorry. I felt I was causing you trouble to have made you make this trip."
"Don't be sorry." Jaden wheeled Luna's suitcase. "You've helped me a lot, too. It's what I should do."
Putting aside the fact that the crew had helped him open up a wasteland, grow vegetables, and raise chickens, just the fact that Luna had given Zayn pointers in acting was something Jaden would always remember in his heart.
Luna smiled. "Since you think I've helped you a lot, can you do me another favor?"
Jaden pulled Luna's luggage downstairs. "Go ahead."
Luna sighed. "At twenty-nine, I feel my life is just getting better, but my parents think I should settle down and urge me to get married. During Christmas, I went on blind dates every day. I felt like I was about to freak out."
"Look." She took off her glasses and leaned her beautiful face over to Jaden. "Most people gain weight during holidays, but I lost ten pounds during the Christmas holiday, thanks to my family's torture with those endless blind dates and naggings."
Jaden glanced at Luna. "You've indeed lost weight."
He felt the delicacies Luna had eaten at his house were about to protest.
"So, would you like to take pity on me and do me the favor?" Luna could not tell if she was acting or telling the truth. She blinked innocently and asked in a pitiful voice, "Pretend to be my boyfriend for a while so I can deal with my parents, okay?"
'He will probably agree, won't he? After all, this is not a loss to him.' Luna thought, 'Besides, even if I'm not a superstar, I'm at least pretty, right?'
"No," Jaden said without hesitation.
If she hadn't removed her sunglasses, Luna felt her sunglasses would have fallen off in shock. "Why?"
Jaden said calmly, "I don't like to joke about my relationship."
Luna was at a loss for words. Then, she defended herself. "This isn't a joke. It's an act of necessity."
Jaden turned it down again. "No."
Luna didn't give up. "This is helping me."
Jaden glanced at her. "No, I can't help you this way."
