Matthew smiled faintly and said coldly, "Since she's coming for me, I'll let her miss."
Athena blinked. "You also want a transfer, don't you?"
'Will he be transferred to Kitmore City? That will be great.' Athena thought, 'But, it is impossible.'
Matthew said, "I want to work in Motireland for a while and start a business there."

Athena said sympathetically, "How long are you planning to stay there?"

She raised a hand to her brow and said softly, "When will you leave? I'll see you off and have a farewell dinner with you."
"I can't do it this time," Matthew whispered. "Anabel is in Valemont City. Her people must be watching me from the shadows. I can't take the risk of meeting you.
"You can... understand, right?"
Athena's heart skipped a few more beats. Her pretty mouth opened and closed again. After a while, she said in a low voice, "Yes, I understand."
'Understand what?' Athena thought, 'This is the indescribable feelings between me and Matthew.'
"So, I'm calling to say goodbye." Matthew's voice was like the spring wind, soft and pervasive. "For the next long period, I can only talk or video-call you, Miss Donovan."
"That's good," Athena said in a low voice. "I plan to go on a business trip soon. It might take a few months."
On the other end of the phone, Matthew opened his mouth. He felt he had a lot to say but also felt the words he wanted to say were so heavy that it made it difficult for him to speak.
After a while, he said, "Then, Miss Donovan, I wish you all the best."
Athena smiled. "Thanks. I wish you all the best, too."
A moment later, Matthew hung up first without saying goodbye.
Louis saw him hang up the phone and walked over. "Mr. Graham, your luggage has been packed and your plane ticket has been booked. You can leave tomorrow."
Matthew nodded. He was still staring at the night sky outside the window. "During my absence, you must do your job well. If you can't do it well, get lost."
Louis adjusted his glasses. "Don't worry, Mr. Graham. I know what to do."
After saying that, Louis sighed inwardly. 'You're ruthless. You left without even meeting Miss Donovan. But, I support your decision.'
Louis understood why Matthew was doing that and pondered, 'Mr. Graham is rich and powerful but is not the only one with power and wealth.
'The Donovan family is still too weak now. It's like a sprout that has just burst out of the ground, far from being able to compete with top families like the Graham family and the Powell family. Mr. Graham has to buy time for the Donovan family to develop smoothly and quickly.
'Mr. Graham doesn't want his relationship with Miss Donovan to be like the dramatic romance drama, leading the Donovan family to be oppressed by the Graham family, the Powell family, and other wealthy families and letting the Donovan family suffer because of it.
'Mr. Graham cares about this relationship from his heart.'
At the thought, Louis couldn't help but take out his handkerchief, remove his glasses, and quietly wipe his tearless eyes.
