Jaden said, "Yes, you are right.
"But have you ever thought about what she would do if her reputation was ruined and she lost what she valued the most?"
Arthur was stunned for a moment. "What can she do? She'll just try to take revenge on us. What are we afraid of?"
Jaden shook his head. "A person who has nothing is the most dangerous."
"Although we aren't afraid of her, Mom wants to focus on her business, and Zayn wants to become an actor. The others are also just starting their entrepreneurial journeys. If she continues to pester us, or worse, threatens to kill herself at the entrance of our restaurant, it will waste our precious time and energy. In the worst-case scenario, it could jeopardize our careers. We shouldn't have to waste time on someone like her. The best outcome would be for her to disappear completely."
Arthur was deep in thought. 'Is this the difference between a boy and a man? The former cares about satisfaction and the latter cares about profit.'
In the case of Linda, Arthur felt that what Jaden said made sense... After thinking for a while, he scratched his head helplessly. "What if Linda doesn't change and comes back to harass us in the future?"
Jaden said calmly, "If that day really comes, we will have a good reason to deal with her on the moral high ground."
Arthur frowned, contemplating for a moment before smiling. "That's true. If a bad person hasn't committed a serious crime, a good person really can't justify attacking them..."
At this moment, Jaden received a call from Brandon.
Brandon's voice was cold and ruthless. "Where is Linda? I'll deal with her myself."
Jaden knew his temper and quickly said, "She's already gone. I've already settled this matter."
Brandon asked, "How did you handle it?"
Jaden briefly explained.
Brandon sneered. "I knew you were the saint If it were me, I would definitely make her regret coming here."
Jaden was at a loss for words. "Why don't we waste the precious time arguing with her instead of grabbing a drink?"
Brandon made a call as he walked. "Alright, since you've settled everything here, I'll go get busy."
He put away his phone and walked out of the office building. He greeted the woman who was walking over. "Lindsay, welcome back to the country!"
Lindsay had short, exquisite hair and light make-up. She was dressed in a light gray business suit. She walked with gusto and her manner was neat. She looked like a typical white-collar beauty.
She looked Brandon up and down and smiled. "Long time no see. You seem to be in good shape."
Brandon shook her hand. "I'll be even better now that you have given up the high-paying job in Aeloria and come back to join me."
Lindsay smiled and introduced the people she had brought with her. "You've seen these people on video.
"Jean Roben, graduate student at MeT's Mathematics Department.
"Silicon Valley's senior software engineer, Ronny.
"Justin Jones, a graduate of Carnegie University's School of Computer Science.
"Marley, a senior mechanical engineer who used to work for Boeing."
Brandon smiled and shook hands with them one by one. "Welcome to Donovan High-tech."
He guided everyone into a nondescript office building and took the elevator to the eighth floor. "This floor is dedicated to our company," he explained. "We're just starting out, so there's a lot to be done. Please bear with it for two years. Once the company takes off, our work environment and benefits will definitely improve."
His company had just started and needed high-end technical talents.
The technical staff currently recruited by the company were only capable of handling basic research and development tasks. They lacked the leadership, coordination, and advanced technical expertise needed for more complex projects.
High-end technical talent in the industry is highly sought after. Once they leave, they typically don't enter the general talent market; instead, they are often recruited directly by headhunters or large companies.
With Donovan High-tech's current situation, it was almost impossible to poach high-end technical talents.
Fortunately, Brandon's good friend Lindsay graduated two months early. Not only did she take the initiative to join his company, but she also introduced him to several top-tier technical talents from Aeloria that the company urgently needed.
Although they hadn't requested a high salary, and Brandon couldn't afford to pay one, he decided to equally divide 24% of his 50% ownership stake in the company among five people, including Lindsay, to demonstrate his sincerity.
Their sincerity touched these technical talents. However, the main reason they ultimately decided to join Anri was the presence of "Harry" and "Potter," the two lifelike artificial intelligence owls in the Donovan's villa.
Alaric was a fan of anime and manga. When he first saw Perceptor-1 and Perceptor-2, he was so shocked that he thought they were Hogwarts Academy's magic owls that he named them "Harry" and "Potter".
They seemed to like the new name that Alaric had given them. If others did not call them that, they would ignore them.
