She walked up to Brandon gracefully, linked arms with him, and smiled at Mason, saying, "I'm Lindsay Dudley, Brandon's girlfriend. I've just returned from studying overseas. My family background is definitely not inferior to the power and influence of Randolph Group."

Everyone looked her up and down and nodded, saying, "She does look like a model. She's tall and beautiful."

Laney bit her lip upon hearing that, looking like she wanted to cry.
Mason could not maintain a dignified appearance anymore. "Brandon, I was right about you," he said. "You are a useless social climber! When you were studying in the country, you were focused on clinging to a wealthy heiress. After you were exposed, you went overseas and found a girlfriend with a powerful background. You're really promising."
Brandon sneered. "Mason, do you know what you look like now? You're like one of those pretentious, fake women, always telling others to get lost. But when they actually do and find someone else, you get upset. Then, you purposely show up in front of them, repeatedly asking them not to pester you. It's absolutely disgusting."
The crowd burst into laughter.
Lindsay chimed in, "Mr. Randolph, you're well past sixty, right? Your daughter is already in her late twenties. She says nothing, and you're the only one who's making a fuss. This will make people think that your daughter is a big baby and a daddy's girl."
"You..." Mason looked really angry. "You two are really birds of a feather..."
At this moment, a nurse walked in from outside and said, "Everyone, please speak quietly to avoid disturbing other patients' rest."
Mason said coldly, "I'll complain to your director now. Such a high-end private hospital shouldn't allow outsiders to engage in sales."

Brandon ignored him. After packing up the cute little AI devices, he followed Lindsay out of the public reading room.
Lindsay asked, "Shall we head back to the company or go grab a meal together?"
It occurred to Brandon that Josie had not finished her physical therapy yet, so he shook his head and said, "I still have something to take care of in the hospital. You head back first."
Lindsay was speechless. "I specifically came to meet you for a meal, and now you're telling me to go back by myself?"
Brandon smiled. "I'm not hungry, but I can accompany you. Just don't take too long."
Lindsay glanced at her watch. "Alright. Accompany me for half an hour then."
They walked into the cafe next to the hospital. While eating, Lindsay asked, "Are you really not eating? I'll treat you."
Brandon looked at the steak and pasta on her plate and shook his head in disinterest. "I'm not hungry now. Take your time eating."
Lindsay cut a small piece of steak and slowly chewed it before swallowing. She then asked, "Can you tell me what grudges you have with Mr. Randolph, so much so that he insisted on making things difficult for you like that?"
