When Athena returned to her house in Kitmore City, it was not yet 9 p.m.
As soon as she got out of the car, she saw that the main building was brightly lit. The sound of a television came from within.
The lights in the house warmed her heart from such a long distance.
She hurried into the entryway. The scene she saw was so heartwarming.
Her mom sat on the sofa and watched TV while receiving a massage from her dad.
Brandon was reading a magazine in a rocking chair.
Zayn was still wearing a sports vest and shorts. He had his elbows on the ground and was doing spank. Josie was sitting on his waist, eating snacks and watching television.
Of course, Josie sat there at Zayn's request, to increase the difficulty and effect of training.
Alaric spun a basketball with his fingertips as he walked down the stairs. When he saw Josie sitting on Zayn, he immediately ran over excitedly and squatted in front of Zayn. He said with anticipation, "Zayn, in order to make you stronger, I'll sit on it too."
Zayn said indifferently, "If you want to sit on it, kill me with a stick first so that I won't be crushed."
Alaric was speechless.
He stood up resentfully, walked to Arthur, and kicked him. "Hey, look at you. You're playing games on the sofa all night. You need to see some light. Let's go play basketball."
Arthur's legs remained crossed and rejected him without even looking up. "No."
Alaric rolled his eyes and sat down beside Arthur. He snatched Arthur's phone and said, "You're so lousy. I am sure you lose every time. Let me help you."
Arthur raised his eyebrows and said murderously, "You can call me a noob, but you can't say I am lousy at games! Whoever dares to scold me for being lousy in games will be my lifelong enemy!" After saying that, he pounced forward and started fighting with Alaric.
Maria was still sitting in the armchair closest to the television, eating snacks and watching television.
From her grandparents' room, sounds of their favorite show were heard..
'What a beautiful scene!' Athena thought as she walked into the living room in satisfaction and greeted the entire family with a smile. "I'm back."
She often appeared and disappeared mysteriously. Her family was already used to her sudden disappearance and appearance. All of them looked at her and smiled happily.
"Athena. Are you hungry? Do you want me to cook something for you?" said her mom.
"Athena, are you tired? Do you need a massage?" said her dad.
"No need, no need." Athena waved her hand. "I've eaten. And I had a car to pick me up. I'm not tired at all. Go ahead, guys."
She sat down on the side sofa and started enjoying the fruit while watching television with her family. She loved that feeling.
That night, Athena slept very well. When she woke up in the morning, she practiced yoga for an hour before sitting in front of the computer and working.
She worked until past one in the afternoon. Then she took out a few boxes of food that her mother had prepared in the morning from the fridge in the big kitchen. After heating them in the microwave, she enjoyed her lunch alone.
After eating, she lay down on the sofa and closed her eyes to take a nap.
In a daze, her phone rang. She opened her eyes and answered the call.
Josie's hysterical cries could be heard. "Athena, save me...I don't want to stay in kindergarten anymore. I want to go home. Boohoo, they're bullying me. I want to go home..."
Athena's heart tightened. She suddenly sat up and quickly walked out. "Josie, don't be afraid. I'll go and save you now. Tell me, what happened?"
