If the Pittman family wanted to avenge Lola, but they had to first investigate Donovan family's background before deciding on what to do.
Saanvi picked up the stack of papers and casually skimmed through them as she sipped her coffee. She sneered, saying, "The Donovan family is so arrogant. I expected them to be powerful. Turns out they're just some nouveau riche.
"The Donovan family's main source of income is the restaurant, which brings in no more than a few tens of thousands of dollars each month, I guess?
"Their third oldest son, Zayn, has just made his debut. He played the fifth male lead in Boundary Strike and gained some fame through publicity. Does he really think he's a big star now?
"And the others? The general manager of some obscure real estate company, the owner of a county farm stay, an unknown tennis player, a cheap jewelry designer, and the owner of a small business in a rundown office building. Hilarious," she scoffed, her eyes filled with disdain as she criticized the occupations and income of the Donovan family.
"Oh, Athena got a full score on SAT. No wonder she's so arrogant.
"She probably doesn't know that many top students from elite universities can't even find good jobs now and have to keep their heads down."
She threw away the documents with her manicured hands, picked up her phone, and made a call. Her voice became gentle and appropriate. "Alberto, this is Saanvi."
"We've already found out the background of the Donovan family that bullied Lola. I'm heading to Kitmore City with Konnor to teach them a lesson and get revenge for Lola.
"It's just that we don't have many connections in the bureaucracy of Kitmore City. We might need your help..."
As one of the five major cities, Kitmore City had many big shots.
The Pittman family's connections in Kitmore City couldn't compare to those in Vredo City. However, Lola's grandfather was a high-ranking official in Vredo City. After all, the higher one's status, the broader their network. It wasn't unusual for high-ranking officials from Vredo City to be acquainted with those in Kitmore City.
The Cantrell family did not disappoint the Pittman family. They immediately contacted the officials at Kitmore City and secretly greeted them.
Two days later, Lola's grandfather Konnor and grandmother Saanvi arrived in Kitmore City with Paityn and began their revenge against the Donovan family.
The Donovan family remained normal. They were not afraid of the Pittman family's threat.
On Monday, Josie's right leg was in a cast and she was on crutches. Athena drove her to school.
When Josie appeared at the entrance of the kindergarten, all the children and parents looked over.
Josie was very popular in school. The children ran over to greet her.
Some children hugged her. "Josie. We missed you so much."
Some children were about to cry. "Josie, what's wrong with your leg? Is it broken? Does it hurt a lot?"
Some children touched the cast on her leg. "Josie, poor girl. You broke a leg..."
Josie did not tell them that her right leg was still fine. She had only put on a cast just in case.
She wanted to show them that when she was able to run and jump like they could. It would take them by surprise.
