Everyone had their attention on the stage and they looked at the sweet and cute little girl. Their eyes were filled with amazement.
Although her voice was still raw, it had a pure and clear character, like that of a clear spring in the mountains, without any impurities.
Josie's singing was nothing technical, but her voice was as ethereal as the winter breeze and lingered in one's ears, making one forget the hardship of the real world.
Everyone forgot about the food on the table. They only wanted to wallow in this heavenly voice and let it cleanse their souls.
After the song ended, Josie slowly opened her eyes and bowed deeply to the audience.
When the guests came back to their senses they clapped hard and cheered for Josie.
"Hey, little kid. That was amazing! You have the voice of an Angel!"
"I didn't expect to hear such a beautiful song here. I feel so happy!"
"Little girl, can you sing another song? I'll give you some candy!"
Waves of applause surrounded Josie in an instant.
Josie used to sing in front of school or people she knew. Today was the first time she sang in front of so many strangers with unfamiliar faces.
She was so nervous that she looked around, not knowing what to do when she suddenly became the center of attention and was cheered by so many grown-ups.
Athena walked onto the small stage and patted her head. "Josie, you sang superbly well. Do you want to sing another song?"
At that moment, the Donovan family had already left their table. They stood by the stage and gave Josie another round of applause.
Josie felt less nervous when she saw her family standing close to her.
She thought for a moment. "Yes, Josie will sing another song."
Soon, a familiar melody caught everyone's attention.
Many people exclaimed, "Yellow! I can't believe that this sweetheart knows how to sing 'Yellow'."
"Oh my god, this is my favorite song. Best of luck, little girl!"
"I haven't heard this song for ages. I miss it so much."
Josie was already immersed in the music and could not hear anyone's voice. All she did was sing along with the music.
"Look at the stars, look how they shine for you, and everything you do.Yeah, they were all yellow..."
Josie was a happy child.
There was not a tinge of sadness in her voice.
Perhaps that was because she was just a kid, and she sang with her heart, sending her sincere thoughts to the audience.
Many people were almost tearing up.
When the song ended, someone stood up and applauded enthusiastically.
Some people had yet to get over their emotions and quietly wiped away their tears.
Josie bowed deeply to the audience again, put down the microphone, and skipped back to her family.
They welcomed her back to the table and gave her some fruits and water. "Josie, you did a great job up there. Come, have some water."
Alaric then pinched Josie's peachy face and said, "That's our Josie. You put on a superb performance up there. You sang like a nightingale."
A casually dressed middle-aged woman, who carried herself gracefully walked toward the Donovan family. She handed over a business card and said politely, "Hello, I'm Katie, and I'm a teacher at Kitmore City Junior Arts Troupe.
"This young girl sang so well that I was deeply touched. I sincerely invite our little friend to join us."
