She quietly moved toward the rose bushes in front of her and got a clearer view of the place. She was so stunned by the sight that she couldn't look away.
'What a beautiful flower slope,' Linda thought to herself. 'What a beautiful European-style building.'
If the Donovan family's old mansion and the flower ramp in front of it exuded a simple, ancient, and poetic charm that carried the sorrows and joys of time, this new flower slope and white building looked youthful, elegant, and exquisite, conveying the romance and gentleness of its inhabitants.
Linda wondered, 'Did Jaden create this?'
It had to be.
Only Jaden would have such taste, romance, and persistence.
And this new flower path and white building would be her and Jaden's love nest.
With fantasy in her mind, she looked through the binoculars, slowly scanning the new flower path.
Sunflowers, tulips, daisies, dandelions, Baharia chrysanthemums, marigolds, little moon roses, etc. These were all low-growing, easy-to-maintain plants with plenty of beautiful succulents.
She could not help but love it just by looking at it.
Suddenly, an elegant and captivating figure appeared in her view.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she almost cried out.
Linda thought to herself, 'Luna?'
'Why was Luna here?' Linda thought.
Luna was wearing a flowing white dress, her long hair cascading down her back. Barefoot, she stepped lightly on the white marble slope, looking like a goddess from mythology who had just woken from a beautiful night. Wrapped in the gentle morning light, she strolled along the flower path, walking toward her lover.
At the end of the flower path stood a handsome and refined man.
Linda almost cried out.
'Jaden?' she thought, stunned. 'Why was Jaden here too?'
He, too, was barefoot, dressed in a white leisure outfit with Chinese-style knots, his hands casually in his pockets, smiling at Luna. His hair blew gently in the morning breeze.
Jaden seemed to have said something. Luna smiled, her entire body glowing with charm as she ran toward him.
'What did he say to make Luna glow like that?' Linda thought curiously.
Linda, feeling frantic, stepped out of the rose bushes without thinking and hurried to stop Jaden from interacting with Luna.
"I told you I would plant a new flower ramp for you and build you a small building," Jaden said. "Take a look. Do you like it?"
"I like it!" Luna said loudly, her arms wide open as she ran toward him. Her voice rang out so loudly it seemed as though she wanted the whole world to hear. "I like it very much!"
"I've never liked a road or a house so much in my life!"
Luna looked at the sparkling Jaden, unable to control herself. Her voice was full of joy as she exclaimed, "Jaden, I've fallen in love with you!"
"Be my boyfriend!"
"Be Luna Carter'a only and eternal boyfriend!"
When Linda heard Luna's confession, she felt a sudden chill, as though her entire body had frozen in that moment.
"No." Jaden shook his head seriously as he watched Luna run towards him.
Luna's smile froze, and she almost stopped breathing.
But soon, Jaden's voice rang out again. "I don't fall in love casually. If we are to date, marriage must be the premise. Do you accept that?"
In that instant, Luna was revived and felt like she was floating.
"I do!" she said loudly. "I absolutely do!"
"I want to be with Jaden forever!"
She threw herself into Jaden's arms, hugging him tightly, and kissed his lips.
Before she could kiss Jaden, her lips were already claimed.
"No!" Linda screamed, running over frantically, trying to stop them from being together.
However, as she cried out, she stumbled, and her body crashed into the rose wall.
It hurts.
The thorns of the roses pierced her bare skin, causing her to fall to the ground in pain. For a moment, she could not get up.
She could only lie on the ground, watching as Jaden and Luna kissed passionately, as if letting go would mean dying.
A wave of intense jealousy and hatred rushed over her.
"Damn, Luna, how dare you snatch my Jaden!" She did not hate Jaden. She only hated Luna. She hated her to the core. "This time, I'll ruin your reputation and make sure you never recover!"
She took out her phone, aimed it at the two of them, zoomed in, and frantically snapped a long series of photos.
Only when Jaden and Luna walked into the white building, wrapped in each other's arms, did she put away her phone, her voice dripping with malice. "Let's see how you're going to clear your name this time!"
She looked down at the wounds and blood on her hands and feet caused by the roses' thorns. It was as if she could feel no pain at all. She pulled the thorns out one by one, a low laugh escaping her throat.
"Jaden, every thorn I've been pricked with, every drop of blood I've shed, is proof of my love for you!"
"You are my only happiness and dream. I'll never let you go, not even in death."
