                    Amelia's pov
" Please tell me this isn't Raiden's hoodie," Foster's lips are slackened into a gape as he stared at the very oversized hoodie currently swallowing my petite figure.
I winced, my fingers playing with the strap of my bag. " It is, but I am to return it later on."
Foster looks terrified. " Amelia," he swallowed and looked behind me. Intrigued, I turn to stare at who had made him look like he swallowed a huge marble down his throat. My eyes fall on her, her narrowing eyes lighting up fire on the hoodie. She looks vexed.
I rolled my eyes. "He's the one who pushed me to take it. It means nothing and if she has an issue with it, she should speak to him about it." I shrugged. My mom taught me to not fear anyone, including girls like Dayna.
Foster doesn't look convinced and swallows, his eyes on Dayna. " I don't know Amelia, she looks pissed off."
She does, there's no denying how much steam is coming out from her ears as she shoots me with silent death threats. I tugged at Raiden's hoodie and a small body sidles up beside me. Pickett's brows furrowed. " You got a hoodie?"
" It's Raiden's," Foster whispered, not hiding the fear in his voice. My brows pinched. Pickett's face loses the coloring and she looks like she had just seen a ghost. " Oh no."
" Why are you two making this a big deal? It's nothing but a hoodie I borrowed," I rolled my eyes and opened my locker, pulling out some books I would need for the next class.
" Dayna is very possessive of Raiden. And when I mean possessive I mean, 'no one can have him but me' kind of possessive. They've been on and off and he never has another girlfriend, just her. " Foster explained, his voice low as if he was afraid someone might overhear.
I pushed the books in my bag, turning to them. If what they say is true, I don't want to be a little game between the two. " I'll give him back the hoodie after class if you two are worried."
Foster visibly sighs in relief and we three begun to walk toward our class after a few more talks. " I don't get why he gave you his hoodie though." Pickett suddenly said on the way, her books clutched to her chest as she falls in step with me.
I shrugged. " I was freezing, he saw and he persisted. It really was nothing."
" If it was nothing, why are you so flushed talking about him?" Pickett asked, suspicion on her tongue. I felt heat rise to my cheeks, feeling mortified. " I am not flushed. " I denied. I don't care about Raiden, it's just a hoodie, nothing special about it.
Pickett's eyes soften. " Many girls have fallen for his charms Amelia, you're not the first. Just be careful okay? Dayna can be very intense when angered and jealous. Last year-
She stopped when I opened the door to the classroom and a rush of cold dunked all over me, soaking every part of my body. I gasp, my head low as my hair cling to my face.
The loud sound of squeals of laughter made me lift my head, my eyes falling on that little group at the front of everyone. More specifically on Dayna who has her arms crossed and a smirk playing on her lips.
" Oh crap," Foster gasped behind me, just as Pickett whispered my name.
I had only realized they had uttered their fear when I am standing toe to toe with Dayna, her snickering friends just behind her. I am seething with rage, seething that she thought this would humiliate me.
"How do you like your welcoming gift Amelia?" Dayna's red stained lips blinded me with fury. I wanted to knock out every little pearly white teeth from her mouth. Her friends snickered behind her louder.
" Amelia," Foster whispered behind me, his hand on my shoulder, beckoning me to pull back and walk away. The thing is, I was never one to back down from a fight. And if it's a fight Dayna wanted, she'd get it.
"Could have been more creative," I sneered, my hands fisting at my sides. " But coming from you, I'm not surprised it lacked any originality."
My words stung her, I saw the way her gaze shifted and glazed over. A sneer curled on her lips, turning her pretty face ugly. " You think you're some tough shit, huh new girl?" the words spat out her mouth like acid and I pulled in an irritated breath when the saliva smacked across my face.
She takes a step forward, coming into my personal space, her sweet floral perfume making my sinuses itch. She's taller than me, given that she wore those ridiculous high heels, but even so, I am not intimidated at all.
I've dealt with bullies in the past and she is nothing compared to them. " You should be warned that I own this school," her words bitterly reach my ears as her narrowed eyes pin down on me. We're literally so close that our chests are nearly brushing.
" I'm the queen here. Raiden's mine. Stay away from him." She glared at the hoodie.
I raised a brow, her words amusing me and I could no longer hold it in, I laughed, surprising her and everyone else as the room grows quiet. I took a step forward until we were brushing against each other.
" Weak bitches fight over boys," I snorted. " I don't want your man darling, but perhaps ask him why he's drooling over me?" I searched her angry eyes, entertained when her cheeks flushed with red.
I know I was angering her even more and I was enjoying this more than I should.
I lose the smirk and went serious. " Next time you give me a welcoming gift, you'll be the one to drown in it. I'll gladly knock the queen down her thrown and wear the fucking crown. Try me bitch." I snarled, making her gape in shock.
Satisfied that I had gotten everyone tongue tied, I stepped back and plastered on a fake smile. " Thanks for the gift." I whipped around, deliberately letting my wet strands smack across her face.
" You whore, I'm not done with you yet!" Her shrill voice squealed behind me so loud my ears rang. I clench my jaw when I felt her grip my strands and try to whip me back around, but this time it was me who had the gift for her.
Everyone gasped when the sound of her nose bridge pops as my fist collide with it directly.
