                    Amelia's pov
I'm breathing heavily as adrenaline course through my veins. Her loud shriek had pierced through the noise around and now silence has consumed the room.
The sticky pink substance cling to her like a second skin, making her look ridiculous. I refrain from looking beside her at Raiden, but from my peripheral vision I can see him reaching out for a tissue to clean himself up.
Somehow I hated that he didn't seem fazed and that only fed my anger.
"Are you out of your goddamn mind bitch!?" Dayna shrieked. A little louder and she'll have the roof come down on us.
I tilt my head and stared at her with a grin. "What's the matter Pink? Don't like when you get a taste of your own medicine?" I taunted and lose the grin off my face as I become serious.
"You like to play games?" I whispered, leaning closer. I knew my voice can be heard across the room since it was drowned with silence as everyone place their attention on us.
"Me too," I said low, my tone straining with fury. "But the difference between us Dayna," my teeth grit. " I win. And you lose."
I see the gleam of resent and anger in her eyes before she takes a step forward. However before she can do anything, Raiden rises to his feet, grabbing her and pulling her back.
He stares down at me hard. "Leave."
I stared at him in disbelief. Did he just tell me to leave?
I am about to tell him off until he turns around and levels his gaze with Dayna's. "Leave." His voice is filled with power, power that somehow makes a shiver race down my spine.
Dayna's mouth drops and she looks surprised. Her mouth moves as if she is ready to be defiant but then she clamps it shut and with a nod and a glare directed at me, she storms away, wiping her hand down her face and hair that was covered with the pink smoothie.
Raiden turns to me, wiping off the last bit of pink on his cheek. I schooled my features and crossed my arms over my chest. "If you're looking for an apology you're not getting it. I think pink suits you. Two pinky dinky doos."
He glared and looked over my shoulder. "Give him his phone." I turn to see who he had demanded and saw the girl with Foster's phone scurry to give it back to him.
"Ah the big bad bully is trying to seem human after all-
As I turn, my words get caught in my throat when Raiden is so close to me I am brushing up against his broad chest.
I am about to back away but he gripped me, making me gasp as my chest press to his hard chest roughly, the tip of his nose brushing against mine as he leaned forward. His eyes pin me down with an intensity that made me shiver. I swallowed.
For a moment, time seem to stand still and it felt like it was just the two of us in the room. Breath against breath, chest against chest. The moment feels electrifying. Until the sound of a very masculine voice pulls us out of the moment.
I looked at the principal and Raiden releases me. I try to pretend that his touch didn't affect me the slightest or that I somehow miss his warmth close to me. I focus on the principal that looked angry, his bushy brows lined into a frown.
" What the hell is going on here!" He blasted, his eyes glaring at us across the room before he storms over. The vein in his neck and forehead look ready to burst as they pulsed from his anger. I winced. The bell rings and everyone scatters off, however the principal demands that Raiden and I stay put.
If he ends up calling dad again.....
Or worse, suspend me, I'm screwed.
As I expected, his angry, frustrated eyes land on me when he is before us and his lips curl. " You."
I cringe, shrinking. His eyes narrow. " Should I expect you to always be in trouble from now on?"
I gave him a sheepish smile, barely raising my shoulders into a shrug. He shakes his head, his eyes moving from mine to the teenage boy behind me. " And you," it seem he thought better of telling Raiden off because he only sighed and looked back at me.
" You will stay after school to clean up the cafeteria Amelia. I am talking about sparkle clean, not one dust spec."
My eyes widen, and my lips part as I looked around the room. Sad to say the entire place was trashed with food because teenagers apparently will always be teenagers. " Are you kidding? I can't clean all of this on my own!" I spluttered out, tossing my hand around in exaggeration.
" And you will not," he nudged his head behind me. " Raiden will help you."
" But-
" No buts. You should have thought of the consequences of your actions. Maybe this will teach you a lesson and I can stop finding you in the middle of an altercation." He ground out, giving me a stiff nod before turning around to leave.
" You two are not allowed to leave until the entire place here is clean from top to bottom. Now get to class." Was his last words before leaving Raiden and me in the room all alone. As I try to process what had just happen, I felt movement behind me.
I turn around and glared. " This is all your fault!"
He raised a cocky brow, crossing his arms over his broad chest and leaned against the table behind him. " How? Because I'm a monster?"
I press my lips and let out a small groan. " You and your girlfriend are unbelievable." I turn to leave, wanting to be the one to say the last word. However, I should have known Raiden wasn't done.
He grab my hand and electricity shoots up my arm. He spins me around to face him but my hand knocks over a cup that was left on the table. It crashes to the floor, spilling its contents which was liquid red.
I freeze, my eyes stuck on watching the liquid leak out around my feet. Bloody water, curling around my feet. My hand gripping the doorknob as I watch her.......The air in my lungs seem to choke me and the room walls seem to be closing in around me. I can't breathe.
" Amelia!"
I looked up. Raiden is trying to get my attention, his mouth moving swiftly. He's gripping my shoulders, shaking me but I am too numb to feel anything. I looked at my hands which were trembling at my sides. I realized my entire body is trembling.
" Amelia!"
My ears ring, I look up. His mouth is moving faster, he's trying to pull me out of that memory. But I can't seem to grasp reality. My heart pounds, sweat dots on my skin as I struggle to collect air into my lungs. Am I having a panic attack?
It feels as if I am losing control of my body and I am tempted to give up. But just as my vision blurs, I feel it. The warm soft plushness of his lips slamming on mine.
