" And where have you been?" Mom raises a brow as I step into the kitchen to grab myself some juice. Dammit, there's no orange juice.
" Stayed at Lester's last night," I lied and I hated lying to Mom but I didn't want her to know that I spent the night at Giovanni's house with his fake daughter and had finger fucked her until she literally fell asleep.
She doesn't quite believe me. " You smell different," she points out, leaning in closer to me and jokingly pulls in a lungful of air. " Too floral to be Lester unless....Lester has a change of perfume?"
I rolled my eyes, biting back a grin. Lying to Mom was impossible. " It's not Dayna's if that's what you are worried about,"
Mom didn't approve of Dayna and I's relationship which was many of the reasons we always broke it off. Mom and Dad believed in waiting for their one true mate...however, Dad confessed that if Mom hadn't been his mate, he would have rejected his mate for her.
Their relationship had always been more than a mate bond and the love was so pure it made everyone crave it.
" Oh I know it couldn't have been Dayna," she snorts. " You are too extremely happy," and then narrows her eyes playfully. " Who has you so happy like a puppy that just got a good bone?"
I can't help but laugh, reddening as I remember how good that bone was last night. I can still feel her tight pussy around my finger and even though I taunted her that she'd be the one to be haunted by the memories of us last night....it seems I have fallen prey to my own words.

I nod, clearing my throat. " I see," I took a bottle of water. " I should get ready for school then."
As I turn to leave, Mom calls out to me once more. " Raiden?"
I turn around and stare at her. Her eyes soften and she smiles. " If you've found yourself that kind of love....hold on to it," she whispers. " I know as the Lycan queen I am not suppose to tell you that a mate's bond doesn't matter but," her smiles widen. " I know what true love feels like and a mate bond cannot compare."
