Ignas walked down the street carefreely, her eyes shone like torches in the darkness. She was used to walking on this road as it was her daily routine since she lived not too far away.
She hummed an interesting tone as she continued walking, but suddenly stopped dead, her eyes widened in shock as she looked at the unconscious person lying on the ground in front of her, her body trembled in fear, she was only a normal girl, and suddenly encountering this made her panic.
“Ahhh!” She reacted late but immediately covered her mouth to stop her scream, then rushed past the body, her heart beating so fast, but when she got to a corner, she stopped and clenched her fist hard as she took in tough breaths. Her eyes flashed with so many unsaid words, and as if she had made a decision, she gritted her teeth and turned around to walk back to the unconscious person.
“Hello! He-Hello…!” She yelled as she looked at the person, hoping he or she would hear her.
Seeing no reaction, she swallowed hard and with trembling lips, she bent down and touched the person then turned the person around. She was stunned when she saw the face.
“Wow! It's a man, but why…Why does he have long hair? But he is so handsome!” She muttered in wonder, then began patting the man’s face and calling for him, but there was no reaction whatsoever. The only thing that relieved Ignas was the breath she felt under his nose and the movement of his stomach, which stated that he was alive.
She held the man in nervousness and bit her lips hard, “What should I do? Report to the police? Leave him to die here? Or—
“I don't know why I saved you, I should have left you there but I am not that heartless. Handsome, you have to compensate me when you wake up, okay? Compensate me with some money!” Ignas muttered as she poked the face of the man hard then stood up to leave but what she didn't know was that after she left the room, the man woke up with a pale face.
His eyes were red and his lips were pale. He groaned in pain as he pounded his chest in pain. He looked around, but he could see nothing, then his mouth opened wide and his canine became long and sharp.
His eyes were bloodshot and his canine was as long and sharp as a blade, it was like he could cut anyone into pieces.
His eyes suddenly grew sharp as he gazed deeply at the door as if he was expecting a prey, his nose twitched and he inhaled deeply like he smelt something delicious, then the door opened at that moment and the ignorant Ignas walked in briskly.
“Hey, handsome man! I brought in some water to clean your face—”
Her voice flattered as she looked at the man sitting up on the bed. The water in her hand fell with a bang as she shook like a leaf.
“You—” She pointed a trembling finger at the man in shock and fear. Her eyes were filled with fear and confusion. She had only left to bring in water, but things had changed in just a minute.
How could the man whom she had left on the bed unconscious, now awake, but not just that, he looked like a devil, or could she call him a monster?!
The man fixed his red eyes on her and looked at her in confusion, and also with a strange gaze. His eyes were empty and cold, just like his mind at this moment, and the only thing he could think of was how delicious she smelled.
He was dry and his heart hurt a lot, he needed blood, he needed blood to continue to survive, he needed…..
“Fuck! Stop right there! No, no! Don't eat me, You— Ahhh!” Ignas pleaded, but seeing the man stand up as he continued walking towards her, she screamed and turned to open the door to rush out, but she slipped on the water she had poured on the ground.
Her face grimaced in pain as she breathed hard, then struggled to stand up again, her heart was beating so fast, and her face was pale with fear. She felt so much regret, but now was not the time for this.
She turned around to check if he was still coming for her, but saw nothing, but that didn't make her relieved, but made her more scared.
“What should I do? Where is he? What is he?” That was the question Ignas kept on asking herself as she helped her trembling body up.
Immediately she was able to stand up, she breathed a sign of relief then continued running, but then she hit a wall and almost fell down but a hand held her on the waist, making her stable.
Her body went still from shock, her body shook in fear as dread filled her body like goosebumps, she looked at the chest in front of her and slowly raised her head as if there could be a miracle and the person holding her was not whom she thought it is, but when she saw the face, her eyes grew shock..
“Why? Run. Away?” He asked.
His voice was hoarse and crackly like he hadn't drank water for days, and he said the words like he was just learning how to speak but this caused more panic to Ignas and made her stumble.
She shook her head in panic, but somehow, when she locked eyes with the man, her body felt like it was nailed to the ground, and she couldn't move an inch.
Fear gripped her; she felt horror, her brain failed her at that moment, but she knew there was danger, and this person or creature in front of her was dangerous!
“Pl-please…Don’t kill me, please— Don’t!” She pleaded with her mouth, but her body remained still, and only her eyes trembled and shed tears.
She looked at him, hoping he would show mercy as she had shown him mercy.
“Please— Ahhhhh!!”
