“What the hell?!”
Ignas cursed in disbelief with her hands flaring around.
She looked at him like he was crazy, what the fuck was he talking about, and how could she be pregnant and what the hell dihe mean by she was his?!
Kelo raised an eyebrow, “What is it that you don't believe? Or should I say, what do you find crazy?” He asked.
Ignas tilted her head with a look that screamed, “Are you kidding me?!”
She took in a deep breath, then looked at him daringly, “You are crazy! Everything is crazy! Your mate?! Well, you being some kind of creature isn't so shocking because I noticed you aren't human which still freak me out, but what do you fucking mean by mate bond? Marking?! That's nonsense! And you know the craziest part of all this?!” She yelled, then pointed at her tummy, then laughed self-mockingly.
“Pregnant?! That's all bullshit!” She yelled and looked at him mockingly.
Kelo looked at her finger, which was jabbing her tummy and frowned, “What if she hurt their kids?” He thought then grabbed her hand.
He looked at her in curiosity and confusion, he wondered why she was so sure of her thoughts.
“Why do you think so? We had sex, and I surely know you are pregnant because I can surely smell the piece of me!” Kelo said, then fixed his eyes on her, waiting for her answer.
Ignas stared at his serious face speechlessly and wondered if he was saying the truth, but—
“I'm barren, okay?! The chances of me getting pregnant are just 5%! And I got divorced because of this same issue, and now you stand here to tell me this? And you expect me to believe you?! What the fuck!” She yelled at him with bloodshot eyes and hands flaring around in disbelief.
They both looked at eachother in a daze, then one drop, the second and then it's came rushing out. Ignas covered her face and cried out loud.
“This is something I had always hoped for. Please, don't joke with me…I really can't take it.” She choked in between her sobs.
Kelo's heart hurt as he watched her; he felt her pain and knew how much pain she was holding in her heart, but he wasn't lying to her; he wasn't.
He clenched his fist and unclenched it back, then pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly. He held her like she was the most precious thing in the world, and truly, she was.
Then he whispered into her ears, “I am sorry you went through all of this, but you have me now,” he said, then pushed her away gently and clasped her face in between his palms, then looked into her eyes with sincerity.
“You are carrying my offspring, Ignas. You are with my child! I can feel it!” He said then took a breath, "Don't be scared, okay?” He said, then suddenly his eyes changed and became blood red, the temperature in the room also became cold, and when he opened his mouth, Ignas could see his long and sharp canines that startled her, once again.
“Can you see? I am different from you, Ignas. I am a vampire, and I can sense my offspring. I can sense part of my blood in your tummy, I can sense a growing life inside you, and I know it's mine. Believe me!” Kelo explained desperately, then leaned down to kiss her forehead, which woke Ignas up from her daze.
She shook her head in disbelief, then looked at him pleadingly, and Kelo responded by nodding his head strongly.
Ignas covered her mouth to stop her scream, then covered her belly with her trembling hands.
“I’m pregnant?” She asked no one in particular.
“I’m pregnant? I have a baby in here? So, that means I am with my child, a child of my own!” She muttered excitedly, then unexpectedly reached out to hug the man standing in front of her.
Only she knew how much she loved and craved a child of her own, only she knew how much she wanted a baby, only she knew the pain she went through, and how she had lived alone through the pains. But now, she was pregnant.
“Aren’t you scared? I am not human, remember?” He asked.
“Who cares?! This is my baby! A baby I would give birth to myself! The baby is mine!” Ignas declared protectively and hugged her tummy as she looked at Kelo like he would steal her unborn child.
Kelo chuckled, then dragged her gently towards the bed, then sat her down. He knelt in front of her and looked at her bare face, which was so beautiful.
“Come with me, I promise I will take care of you, and you won't be hurt.” He said as he looked at her with hope.
“Come with you? Why?! Remember, I am human, and we are from two different worlds. It can be dangerous!” Ignas shook her head as she rejected his offer.
“You not coming with me is dangerous, you being here is dangerous, Ignas! Listen to me! You are carrying the blood of a vampire inside you, and he won't be able to grow here. Come back with me, as the doctors there can monitor him, and also, if my kind notice something different about you, you might be harmed. You don't want the child to be harmed, right?” Kelo asked gently.
Though he knew he would never let any harm come her way, if he didn't scare her this way, this stubborn girl wouldn't come along.
And he was right, Ignas was shaken to the core. She immediately held him tightly and swallowed hard.
“You—! Then what the hell are we waiting for?! Lets go, immediately!” She said urgently which made Kelo smiled.
He then leaned in to give her a gentle kiss on her lips, and when he saw her stunned face, he deepened the kiss, sucking her lips, he sucked her tongue until its got numb and kissed her till she was out of breath and laid weakly in his arms.
He hugged her gently, then promised,
“I promise to take care of you and our child. Though, its was a mistake, but this is the best mistake I had ever made in my life. Since you are my mate, then I will fulfil everything you want and always make you happy. Though I am not human, but…I can do what most human does and I have emotions too, I can feel and love.” Kelo promised.
Ignas felt touched and smiled beautifully.
“Humans can be devils too, what matters is the heart, Ke..Kelo.”
