“KNOCK!!”
The sound of the door knocking echoed in the room waking the two entangled sleeping bodies on the bed.
Their eyes were blurred and confused as they disentangled. The first one to come back to his senses was Trevor, and he immediately sat up in shock.
He looked on blankly at first then recalled everything that had happened the night before, his eyes widened and he shot a look at Micca who was only coming back to her senses.
He was about to say something when someone suddenly barged in and the next thing they saw was cameras pointed to their faces.
“Darn it!” Trevor cussed coldly then stretched out his arms to hug the shocked Micca. He covered her face and body with the blanket and looked at the flashes of cameras in irritation.
“Who let you in? How dare you all?! Get out!” He yelled with authority and his powerful aura filled the room stunning the reporters who had barged.
They shook in fear and some almost knelt when they met his dark eyes, but they gritted their teeth after remembering the juicy news.
“Master Trevor, don't you feel guilty being caught in an affair on the day of your engagement?!”
“Master Trevor, How do you think your fiancee will feel when she knows you cheated on the day of your engagement?!”
“Master Trevor, Who is the woman you cheated with? Why are you protecting her?!”
Their loud voices filled the room and made him get more angry. His eyes narrowed in disgust and anger, but as he was about to threaten them, he got interrupted by a loud voice.
“Trevor! How could you?!”
His eyes secretly flashed after hearing her voice and his jaw clenched when he saw his fiancee whom he was to get engaged to today.
But somehow, his hands didn't release Micca who he was protecting in his arms, but what he didn't know was that the woman he was protecting was so calm and even had a smug smile on her face after hearing the voice of her elder sister.
“Tsk!” She smirked chillingly then rolled her eyes when she heard the pitiful cries of her so-called elder sister. Micca’s body shudders in disgust at the meek cries of her elder sister, but Trevor thought she was scared so he held her tightly to himself as if telling her not to be scared.
“Go out first, Maria. And—” Trevor said referring to his fiancee, but stopped as his sharp eyes turned to the reporters slowly, making them shiver and almost fall.
“Tell your bosses, they should either sell their companies or wait for me to declare them bankrupt!” He spat out, stunning the crowds of reporters, and they all ran out leaving the crying Maria in the room.
“Who is this bitch?! Why are you protecting her, Trevor?! Why did you do this to me?!” Maria cried as she leaned on the door. Her eyes looked at Trevor with pain as her body trembled.
Trevor frowned as he looked at her, he sighed softly and tightened his lips.
“How did you know I was here? Did you call the reporters?” His cold voice sounded harsh as he looked at her with narrowed eyes.
“What?! Is that all you had to say to me after cheating on our day?! Trevor…Two years, we have been together for two years. Why are you so cruel?” her voice trembled as she looked at him hopefully.
His brows furrowed even more, and then he closed his eyes in frustration.
“I never forced you, remember? We asked you and your family what you wanted, but you said you wanted a marriage with me. I warned you, I clearly stated that I wouldn't love or have any intimate relationship with you, but you were firm on your decision, so why are you acting pitiful?” Trevor asked coldly with confusion lazed in his voice.
“I saved you at the risk of my life! How could you be so—”
“Save him? At the risk of your life? When?” Micca's voice suddenly sounded, shocking the people in the room, especially Maria who went stiff like a statue.
Her eyes went wide in shock as she looked at Micca who had stood up with the blanket still covering her body. Then she picked up Trevor's big shirt and wore it like they were very close.
“You—! Bitch! How dare you—!” Maria screamed in disbelief, while Micca was very calm.
She smiled charmingly at Trevor whose eyes were narrowed as if he had guessed something, she then looked back to her sister, “Hello, Elder Sister…”
“Fuck you, Micca!” Maria suddenly screamed hysterically and rushed towards Micca then gave her a loud slap turning her face to the side, but when she was about to give the second, Trevor held her hand tightly and pushed her away before hugging Micca which shocked Micca herself.
She looked at him in shock and met his deep eyes which were filled with amusement. Micca snapped back to her senses and swallowed with nervousness and excitement.
She suddenly hugged Trevor tightly and turned to give her sister a big smile, with her mouth shaping the word, “I told you.”
Maria shrieked in anger and wanted to rush towards Micca again but Trevor’s cold voice stopped her.
“Enough!” He said coldly then looked at her in an overly calm way that made her legs go numb.
Micca pushed herself up and found her skirt laying on the floor, she dressed up and packed her hair roughly before giving a cold smile to Maria.
“You took what belonged to me, and I told you, I will take back everything you cherish!” She said loud enough for everyone to hear her, then she began walking away, but would Trevor let her go like that?
“Stop right there!” He ordered, then stood up not even caring if he was only in boxers.
“What is going on here? And did you plan all this ?” He asked Micca but his voice was soft which alarmed Maria.
Micca turned around to face him, then walked back to him and suddenly kissed his lips gently.
“I’m sorry as I can't explain because I know you wouldn't believe me. But you can ask her, who knows, you might find out something shocking, but for now…I just want to be alone.” She said gently with her finger tracing his jaw casually, but then it got caught.
Trevor looked at her and asked, “Will I see you again?”
Micca looked at him, then nodded sweetly, “Very soon.” She muttered then walked out of the room with Trevor’s eyes still following her back.
It was only when she had left did he return his gaze to Maria who was staring dazingly at the floor like she had lost her mind.
“Let's break the engagement. As for your life-saving grace, I will compensate you well.”
