My eyes widened, my hands turned cold and I'm sure my face would have been turned pale too.
" Stop right there don't come closer" I look at Rehan as he ordered.
" Don't" he shouted and I screamed loudly grabbing his jacket tightly closing my eyes.
I heard the sound of laughing and I open my eyes and saw Rehan laughing loudly throwing his head back.
I left his jacket and take a few steps back. He goes towards bed sitting on the edge he grips his stomach laughing.
" Look at your face....how scared you...are," he said between his laugh.
I go and stand in front of him.
" You're saying this because you didn't see her if you do you were scared like me too" he look at my smile still on his face.
" No" he chuckled.
" Anyways I have work" he get up, adjusted his suit jacket and made his way towards the door.
" Hey wait! Don't leave me alone" I also go behind him.

Night
Lights on. Check
Blankets around me. Check
Bhajans on. No
I quickly grabbed my phone and start them in high volume.
Good. Now ghost can't come here.
" What the hell? Swadheenta" a voice filled with irritation come from beside me. Ohh it's my Patidev's voice.
I look at finding him staring at me with a pissed expression.
" Turn it off " he ordered.
" No"
" Don't make me repeat" he gritted his teeth, I shifted sitting in front of him.
" Look I know you don't want to listen Bhajans believe me I don't too," I said sincerely placing a hand on my chest " but try to understand yr bhoot rap song sun ke nahi bhagega"
" Again" he groaned " ghost doesn't exist".
" They do! I saw it"
He rolled his eyes, shut his laptop, placed it on the side table and raise his hand to switch off the light lamp.
" No don't turn it off," I said immediately, he raise his eyebrow.
" I'm going to sleep," he said.
" Then sleep with lights on don't turn off the lights"
" How can I sleep with lights on? The whole room is illuminated like today is Diwali"
" You don't watch movies? Ghost didn't like lights they come in dark that's why I turn all the lights"
" Have you always been like this or are you now?" He asked leaning close, I knitted my eyebrows in confusion.
" How?" I whispered.
" Pagal" he shrugged leaning back.
" You think this is all joke, I saw a real ghost. There is a real ghost in your house and you're thinking about sleep"
" There is nothing like a ghost " he sighs closing his eyes.
" There is".
" Then come and let's see," he said grabbing my wrist getting down from the bed.
" No" I shook my head immediately " don't go! Didn't you see in movies the one who doesn't believe in ghosts, ghost kills them first that's why come and sing bhajans with me " I pull him back making him sit on the bed and close my eyes joining my hands.
" How will you explain to someone why the sound of bhajans are coming from the newlywed's room at night" I open my one eye and look at him.
" Why would I explain? Don't they know there is a thing called privacy" I said and close my eyes again.
Suddenly the sounds of bhajans stopped and I open my eyes to check what was wrong but all I see is dark.
" Bhoot" I screamed and someone clasped my mouth shut and I got more scared digging my nails in hand.
" It's me" I heard Rehan's voice and open my eyes and saw him and immediately hugged him throwing my hands around his neck.
" You saw how lights turn off along with the song she must be here" I mumbled still clinging to him.
" There is no one and I'm telling you last time go and sleep," he said removing my arms from his neck.
He turn off the lights and lay down on the bed. I lay down to pull the quilt up, closing my eyes.
It's ok Swadheenta she won't come, she won't come, she won't come.
The quilt move a little and my eyes flew open from fear.
" Rehan" I whispered.
" Now what?" He asked turning towards me.
" Can you give me your hand?"
" Huh?"
" Please"
He forwards his hand and I grip it.
" Can I sleep holding your hand?"
" Fine," he said and close his eyes facing me. I too close my eyes wishing sleep blessed me too.

Morning
" Swadheenta" I feel someone shooking him.
" Swadheenta get up damnit" I open my eyes and saw Rehan with disgust clearly on his face.
" You're drooling on my arm " I look down and find I'm clenching his arm tightly with both hands and indeed I'm drooling on his arm.
I left his arm, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand I turned to another side when I remembered about her and my eyes widened and I get up.
" You can't go," I said standing on the bed.
" Grow up Swadheenta you know how scared you're," he said.
" I know and I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm too timid I'm scared of everything thing cockroach, lizard, dogs, cows, insects, your mummy, Dadi and especially ghost everything I'm scared of everything". I finished my ramble and look at him standing there looking at me amused " I should not have said that, right?"
" Itna tej mat bolo Shezadi kya pata logo ko tumhari kamjoriya pata chal jaye" he smirked at me and turned to go but I jumped down the bed catching up to him.
" Where are you going?" I said stopping him, he raise his eyebrow and I smile sheepishly because it's the washroom behind me. I move aside and he goes inside.
It's ok Swadheenta look it's morning. I look at the sun rays coming in the room.
After some time when I didn't hear anything sounds, I started to fear again so I knock on the door of the washroom.
" Rehan"
" Rehan"
" Rehan are you in there?" I screamed this time.
" Where else I can go teleport to another planet, of course, I'm in there" He angrily replied.
" Talk to me"
I'm sure he must be thinking I have gone mad.
" About what?" He asked, I look around because I don't have any topic.
" Weather, weather is nice today"
" Yeah I see" he replied sarcastically, I lean on the washroom door.
" Count how many tiles are in there," I said.
The door gets opened and I fall backwards but don't fall because in a swift motion he snaked his arm around my waist balancing me so now I'm leaning against his chest.
I tilt my head up and see him already staring at me. His wet messed up hair from which water droplet falls on the arch of his perfect eyebrow then my eyes travelled down to his black piercing eyes.
Hayye yeh kali kali ankhen.
My gaze went down to his perfectly straight nose then the forbidden place. His lips, his dark pink lips which were wet from water a water droplet falls on his lower lip, I feel my mouth go dry he rolls it back sucking the droplet then release slowly from his sharp teeth.
Tip, tip barsha pani.
Or pani ne aag lagai.
Suddenly a water drop fell on me making me come out of my ashleel khowab. I stand straight and turned to him to find him wearing nothing except a towel. I look another side and went inside the washroom.
I come out in two minutes no I'm not kidding I really come out in two minutes.
" Woah, what happened Jalpari? Didn't you like the water?" he taunt me as I come out of the washroom.
He is sitting on the couch with his legs placed on the table in front of him doing something on his laptop.
" I don't want to see blood come out from shower instead of water like shown in movies" I stand in front of the mirror combing my hair.
" I suggest you should stop watching movies," he said, I picked up the kohl lining my waterline with it ignoring his words.
I place the dupatta on my head and smile at my reflection. I come out of the room and saw maids running from here and there everyone is in hurry. I stopped one maid and asked her what was going on.
" Rajkumari Ji today is pooja and everyone is in the temple inside the palace," she said and left.
Rajkumari.
Kya sukoon milta hai yeh word sunke.
" Bhabhi" I called her as I saw her ordering some maids.
" Rajkumari I'll just come " she left and I saw her going.
I turn and my eyes widen as I see Maharani coming here. I instantly turn and start walking.
" Don't let her see me" I prayed to close my eyes.
" Rajkumari" she called and I stopped.
Shit.
I turn with a smile on my face and greeted her.
" I heard you saved Yuvraj's life yesterday" she pauses " Thank you," she said shocked me.
" Initially I thought you were just like....but the way you saved Yuvraj's life without caring for yourself shows that you love him so much".
Love?
Ohh yeah, it's a love marriage for his family.

" Now go and bring fresh flowers for pooja," she said with a smile and left.
Yeh kale baadal bijali girane ki jagah

Oh no I have to go to bring flowers to hope there are people outside. I go outside in the garden and start plucking flowers as fast as possible and come back.
I come and saw Radha Krishna god's idol and look at them.
" Rajkumari" I turned and found Rajmata and Lavanya standing there, Bhabhi and Maharani come too.
" They are looking so beautiful," Lavanya said.
We all sat down and I and Bhabhi start making garlands from flowers.
" Prem kya hai?" Rajmata asked.
" Love, love is attraction, infatuation..." Lavanya started with enthusiasm and Rajmata's one glance makes her shut up.
" Rajkumari Swadheenta apko kya lagta hai" Rajmata asked me, I smiled nervously.

" Let's start the pooja" she announced.

She knocked on the door and Rajmata turned towards her.

" How is your plan going?" Rajmata asked stealing the colours from Lavanya's face.
" What..pl..an are you.. taking about? I come here to stay" Lavanya stammered.
" Say this to others not me. I know you come here for Yuvraj" Rajmata smiled and Lavanya chuckled nervously.

" Ofcourse I know hum Rajmata hai" Rajmata turned keeping her head high.
" But I want to ask why you didn't do something till now" Rajmata raise her eyebrow.
