" Everything is ready?" I asked sitting on top of the desk.
" Yup everything is perfect" Dev is standing holding a laptop in his hand and typing from other hand.
" The presentation is ready we will get the deal," he said closing the laptop, I hummed.
Everything is ready for presentation but I was waiting for something else.
" What are you waiting for? Let's go Rehan" Dev said.
" Wait a second Dev something special is coming," Soham said and sound of the door opening comes and we all looked at the door excited.
The door gets opened and Roma steps inside and Soham groans.
" What happened guys?" She asked confused.
" Nothing heere ka intezar kar rahe the pathar aa gaya" Soham said, Roma frowned confused and I bite my lip to control my chuckled.
" Boss" Akash came inside with the box in his hand.
" What is this?" Roma asked looking at the box with wide curious eyes, I gestured and Akash nodded opening the box.
" This is one of the most expensive diamond rings in the world " a shiny diamond ring come into view and Roma blinked looking at the ring.
" Can I wear it?" She asked forwarding her hand to pick up the ring.
" No" I take the box from Akash and look at the ring " this is for Swadheenta" I close the box.
" I'm going to confess my feelings to her today" I confessed my feelings yesterday but she didn't reply maybe she didn't understand so why not give her a proper proposal.
" Where?" I frowned at Roma's question.
" Where? Why do you want to come too?" I raised my eyebrow.
" Vo.. no..no I mean why don't you propose to her at today's party" she suggested smiling.
" Party? But it was for whom, who gets the deal how are you so sure I'll get the deal?" I get down from my desk and stand in front of her.
" Why not? you're capable"
" So is Swadheenta and Ayaan"
" I think she is right, she'll come to the party tonight but won't come if you asked to come somewhere and by the way, you already spend so much money on the ring if you propose to her in the party venue ka karcha bach jayega" I roll my eyes at Soham's advice.
" Yeah, and there will be people also who get to know that Swadheenta is yours" there is weight in Karthik's word. Ayaan will get to know that Swadheenta can never be his, I smirked.
" Yes, so this is decided I'll propose her in today's party" I announced.
" But there is one thing" I raise my eyebrow and looked at Soham.
" What if Bhabhi slapped in front of everyone?" Soham said teasingly and I glared at him.
" Isliye toh ring mangwai hai uska adha gussa ring dekh ke pighal jayega or adha humari feelings sunke" I kiss the box.
[ That's why I have ordered the ring her half anger got melted seeing the ring and half by listening to my feelings]
Hope everything goes perfect.
" C'mon let's go," I said and move out of the cabin and everyone follows me.

That's it. I sigh. Today is the day. I look at myself in the mirror. C'mon Swadheenta you can do it. I'm sure you'll get the deal.
My phone rang and I picked it up. It was a message from Roma she send a picture of a ring.
How's it?
Probably it was the same ring which Rehan bought for her that day. Ek anghuti se jala  rahi hai mujhe pagal tere pass toh uska pyaar hai.
My gaze went to the papers placed on the table.
He loves Roma.
I gulped down and open my eyes. Focus on the deal. I open the door and come out of the room.

Office
All the presentations happened and we all are sitting in our places waiting for the results. I can feel Rehan's gaze on me but I didn't look up to see him.  Seeing him and Roma together bought tears in my eyes.
I bite my lip, shaking my feet in anticipation, I cross my fingers closing my eyes.
" Relax" Ayaan whispered placing a hand on my shoulder.
" I'm trying" I look at him and Mr Kapoor starts talking and we all look at him.
" So the contract goes to Rehan Pratap Singh" he announced smiling.
What!
My mouth gets opened in shock. I did so much hard work for this contract how Rehan can have the contract.
Rehan get and up and shook his hand with Mr Kapoor and he gave him the contract, Roma hugged him and say congratulations.
I couldn't able to saw this so I come out of the room and goes to the terrace. I stand placing my hands on the railing and closing my eyes.
" It's ok yar haar jeet toh lagi rehti hai" I heard Ayaan's voice and found him standing beside me.
" Haar jeet nahi sara sar cheating hui hai yaha," I said angrily, tears welled up in my eyes, Ayaan's eyes widened.
" Oye don't cry," he said wiping my tear " everything will get alright"
" Sab thik hi toh nahi ho raha hai" I screamed frustratingly and start crying.
I feel Ayaan wrapping his arms around me. I also hugged him back crying on his chest.

I pulled away from Roma immediately and look around for Swadheenta but she is nowhere. I come out of the room and asked someone whether they saw a girl and he replied she went to the terrace.
I hurriedly went to the terrace and froze seeing the seen in front of me. Ayaan is holding Swadheenta while her head is on his chest.
He is holding my Swadheenta.
Mine.
I clenched my hands into fists and my jaw set when I saw Ayaan stroking her back.
How dare he touch her!
I couldn't control myself when he whispered something in her ear I stalk towards him and pulled Swadheenta away from him, grabbing his shirt collar I punched him in his face.
" How dare you touch her? Bastard" I growled holding his collar.
I raise my fist to punch him again but a soft hand wrapped around my wrist and I looked down to see Swadheenta holding my hand.
" Leave him" she remove my grip from him and stand in front of him but I was too angry to listen to her.
I step forward to grab Ayaan but she placed her hands on my chest and pushed me.
" Stop it" she screamed.
" Ayaan are you fine?" She asked worriedly and raise her hand to touch him, I grabbed her hand in the air and turned her head and glared at me.
" Don't touch him" I ordered, she narrowed her eyes at me.
" You don't tell me what to do" she snatches her hand and placed it over Ayaan's cheek.
A fire burn in my chest when I saw her touching Ayaan and he had the audacity to smile at her in front of me. She turned and glared at me and stalk towards me.
" Why did you do this?" She demanded.
" He touched you" I step forward.
" So?" She raised her eyebrow and I frowned in disbelief.
" Come Ayaan let's go" she grabbed his wrist, smiling and I grabbed her wrist.
" You can't go" she knitted her eyebrows in anger.
Damn Rehan what are you doing! She is already angry at you if you make her angrier she won't come to tonight's party.
I left her wrist and asked her.
" You'll come to tonight's party, right?" I asked softly.
" Bilkul nahi Rehan tumhari jeet tumhe mubarak ho" she turned to leave.
Do something Rehan. I bite my lip thinking suddenly I remember something.
" Won't you keep your promise?" This made her stop and she turned to look at me.
" We had a deal who will win this deal can ask anything"
" You know how you got the deal, cheater" she spat.
Damn you, Roma.
All the misunderstanding happened because of your letter. I know you're angry and have many complaints but please just come to the party tonight I'll make everything alright.
" So you back away from your promise?" I taunted her.
" Of course not I'm not like you" she turned her hair move along with her making the sight in front of me mesmerizing.
She looks so beautiful in anger but also dangerous.

We come and sat inside Ayaan's car.
" Look what he is done to my precious face" I look to the side and found Ayaan examining his face in the car's mirror.
I'm also not able to understand why he did this.
" I guaranteed you that no harm will happen to you from Suhani now where is your responsibility? " He turned and look at me " you know tonight I'm going to propose Suhani now what if she rejected me after looking at my face" he complained.
" Nothing like this will happen now drive me home," I said to him and look outside the window.

Mansion

" This suit looks good on me, right?" I asked adjusting the blazer.
" Of course, you're looking good" Soham groaned, I turned and found him laying on the bed.
" But you said that for the previous five suits also " he sat up on the bed.
" Because it's true and why are you putting so effort in dressing up you didn't even get ready this much for your engagement"
" Because I don't want to do engagement with Lavanya" I turned towards the mirror and runs my hand through my hair.
" But this time I want everything to be perfect" I picked up the box of ring and grinned.

Hotel
I entered the hall and my eyes roam around in search of one specific person but she is not there. The hall is decorated beautifully and everyone is wearing red and black. I'm also wearing a black suit.
" She is not here yet" Dev informed.
" I know" I nodded and make my way towards the bar.
Sipping my drink I waited impatiently for her arrival. Finally, my wait got over as I saw her enter the hall.
She is wearing a short red dress complementing it with red heels and red lips. Her long hair golden from the edges goes along so well with a red dress.
But.. that Ayaan is with her.
Didn't that punch hurt him well?
Fuck, she is definitely testing my patience.
But.. I don't have to wait for any more.
I place the glass on the countertop and made my way toward them. I open my mouth to greet her but Roma beat me into it.
" Swadheenta thanks for coming," she said and hugged her.

Swadheenta
My already sour mood turned bitter when I saw Rehan and Roma and she hugged me. I pulled away from her crossed my arms and look aside.
" Excuse me" Roma gestured to a waiter and he come towards us and forward the plate in which masks are placed.
" This is a masquerade party," she said smiling, I raise my eyebrow suspicious why is  behaving differently anyway I picked up the mask uninterested I just want to go back.
" Swadheenta" I heard Rehan's voice and look at him but before he can say any further Roma said.
" Let's dance what do you say Swadheenta? Let's remember the old days when we danced together" she asked raising her eyebrows excited now I frowned something is wrong.
" Why not? May I have the.." before Rehan can complete his sentence I grip Ayaan's arm and dragged him towards the dance floor.
" You said we will go back after showing our face" Ayaan whispered at me.
" We will after this dance," I said and we all took positions. Rehan with Roma he caught me staring at them and I turned my gaze away.
There’s something about tonight
Something very special
The song starts and we start moving with the music.

My gaze found Rehan as I move in a circle around Ayaan, he is also staring at me.

I grab Ayaan's hands and lean back he pulled me back and I twirl around going to the next person.
A hand grip my wrist and I gasped recognising the touch. He twirl me and pulled me back grabbing my waist. My back collides with his chest.  His hands sensually move up on my arm and I lean my head back losing myself in the moment. I can feel the roughness of his stubble against my soft skin of the neck, he traces his sharp nose from my neck to the back of my ear I shudder when I feel his soft lips against my earlobe.
" Swadheenta" he whispered and I come out of my thoughts and pushed him.
Suddenly the lights turn off and darkness falls around. I feel someone pushing me and I stumbled ahead.
A slight light turns on and I can see the shadows of people and things. I can see Rehan standing in front of me and he is facing someone who is standing in front of him.
Suddenly he gets on his one knee and my heartbeat increases in fear.
Is he going to do what I'm thinking?
" I want to confess something " I held my breath as he continues.
" You're the girl who I never thought one day I'll feel this for, when we meet and I find you annoying, different and I also assume some bad things about you but as the time passes and gradually I get to know you little by little I know that no one is like you but things changed and when you went away from me I realised you have become a part of my life it feels empty without you and I realised I start liking you" he stops and took a breath pulling something out of his pocket.
" Will you wear this and become mine forever" he opened the box and a ring in it.
My breathing stopped.
" Yes" Roma's voice come and I gasped taking a breath.
The lights turn on my mask fell from my hands and tears threatened to leave my eyes. Rehan get up and remove his mask his eyes widened in shock as he saw me standing in front of him and then hurriedly look at the person who is standing beside him Roma was looking at her with a wide smile.
He moves his head back in my direction and I smile bitterly at him.
