Sonic was making himself some homemade chicken soup while Shadow was typing on his laptop, trying to figure out what Eggman was up to this time. "Want some lunch babe?" Sonic asked as he smelled the aroma of his culinary dish. "Sure, I am getting a bit hungry anyway" Shadow said as he closed the laptop to take a break from researching so he can at least have something in his stomach. "Alright, it is some soup I made, chicken soup" Sonic said as he turned off the fire and started to serve the soup in two bowls.
"I don't mind, as long as it is good, then I don't have a right to complain about it" Shadow said as he gets up, walks upstairs, and puts the laptop in the drawer of his nightstand, going back downstairs so he can go back to the dining room. Sonic smiled as he was done serving the soup, walking to the dining room and putting down a tray on the table, giving Shadow and himself the bowls full of very delicious soup, a drink of fizzy chao soda, and a few crackers to dip into their soup. "This looks absolutely good Sonic, even the noodles look like they will be tasty" Shadow said as he picked up a spoon and took a small amount of it, seeing the steam coming off of the small spoonful of soup.
"Thank you, I slow-cooked the soup in the big pot for 1 hour and 30 minutes, making sure everything is soft, I used chicken chunks that I cut up for there to be chicken in every bowl of soup, some carrots, diced potatoes, a bit of some chicken seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, a couple stems of cilantro, and a tiny bit of sliced peppers inside as well, to make the perfect flavor" Sonic said with a smile as he saw Shadow softly blowing to cool down the soup before putting the spoon in his mouth and tasting the broth. "So tasty, the flavor is rather perfect for a soup, you did a great job" Shadow said as he rubbed his head. Sonic smiled and started to slowly eat his soup with Shadow.
~30 Minutes Later~
Sonic and Shadow were both washing the bowls that were used to eat their soup while leaning on each other while the scrubbed the dishes. "I love you Shads, I am so glad I fed you" Sonic said with a smile as he rinsed his dish. "You're welcome Sonic, it was really good, I can tell you worked hard to make it" Shadow said as he kissed his head and chuckled as he turned off the water once he was done rinsing his dish. Sonic kissed Shadow on the cheek and giggled a bit as he then felt Shadow hugging him and pecking his nose with his lips.
Sonic giggled a bit more from Shadow's pecks of love and smiled. "I am so happy I have you in my life" Shadow said as he kissed his head and suddenly heard Sonic's phone go off, making Sonic go out of his arms, dry his hands with a paper towel, and pick up his phone, and taking a call. "Hello?" Sonic asked. Shadow only heard Sonic speaking and not the other person. "Oh my god, yes, I will be there today, alright, love you, bye!" Sonic said as he hung up. "Who was that?" Shadow asked. "Oh, it was my mother, she wanted me to come visit" Sonic said with a smile. "Your mother?" Shadow asked him.
"Yes, my mother wanted me to come over to spend time with her and my siblings" Sonic said as he put on his gloves. "So, you are gonna go to them? I am going to be alone?" Shadow asked. "Oh no, I am taking you with me, my mom needs to know who you are and that you are my boyfriend so just in case she gets curious about my love life, she will know I am with you, that is all babe, she is going to be thrilled knowing I am happy" Sonic said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around Shadow's shoulders.
"What if she hates me?" Shadow asked as he looked at Sonic. "Don't worry, she won't hate someone like you, she is not that kind of woman" Sonic said as he kisses his lips before going to the door to put on his shoes. "Well, alright, if you say so" Shadow said as he went to Sonic and puts on his shoes as well. "She lives a bit very far away, requires some driving to get there" Sonic said as he gave Shadow his mother's address so he can follow it. "Alright, if you say so, just want you to be happy with your family" Shadow said as he walked to the garage and took out his motorcycle, so they can ride it there.
"I am so happy you are coming to see my family, they will be pleased to meet you" Sonic said with a soft smile. "Well, I hope you are right about them liking me" Shadow said as he walked pushed his motorcycle into the street, getting on it and holding out his hand for Sonic. Sonic smiled more and took his hand and got on in front of him, holding on tight. Shadow smiled and started the engine as he quickly rode away with him, following the directions to where Sonic wanted him to go, to his family's residence.
~45 Minutes Later~
Shadow rode his motorcycle to the driveway of Sonic's old house and parked it, getting off while picking up Sonic bridal style and kissing his head, putting him down on the concrete ground. "Is this the right place?" Shadow asked as he looked at the nice-looking house that was 2 stories tall. "Yep, this was my old home, and my mother still lives here" Sonic said as he walked up the 2 steps and was on the porch, waiting for Shadow to turn off the motorcycle so he can be near him. Shadow came after he shut off the engine and looked at the door, watching Sonic ring the doorbell, hearing a few footsteps drawing near the door a bit quickly than expected.
The door suddenly opened and a woman's voice can be heard. "My baby!" Aleena said as she opened the door wide and hugged him tightly. "Hi ma, nice to see you too" Sonic said as he hugged his mother, Shadow staying quiet and watched them hugging each other. "How are you? I haven't seen you in months" Aleena said as she kissed her son's head multiple times. "I was having too much time with my friends, but don't worry, it won't happen again, I promise" Sonic said with a smile as he felt his mother rubbing his back, showing that he is still loved.
Aleena averted her eyes to the black hedgehog who was just looking at them. "Sonic, who is this?" Aleena asked as she stopped hugging her son and looked at Shadow. "Ma, this is Shadow, Shadow this is my mother, Aleena" Sonic said as he introduced them both to one another. "Aww, is he a friend of yours? Hi, Aleena the Hedgehog, pleasure to meet you good sir" Aleena asked as she got near Shadow a bit and held out his hand for Shadow to shake it. Shadow slowly put his hand on hers and exchanged a hand shake, Aleena smiling a lot.
"Actually ma, he is, my boyfriend" Sonic said as he smiled a bit at her and Shadow. "Boyfriend? My baby is dating!? Oh my goodness! Welcome sweetheart, I am so glad my son has someone he is in love with, who makes him so happy, thank you for taking care of his loving caring heart" Aleena said as she hugged Shadow, Shadow looking surprised and shocked, slowly looking at Sonic who gave him a thumbs up, showing he was right that Aleena would like him. "T-Thank you Mrs. Hedgehog—" Shadow got cut off by Aleena to correct. "Honey, you can call me Aleena, I am so happy to meet my son's boyfriend, it is such a pleasure" Aleena said as she stopped hugging him and walked inside the house.
"Come on Shadow" Sonic said as he went in. Shadow looked and walked inside with them as Aleena closed the door. On the couch, Shadow saw both of Sonic's siblings playing a board game together. "Hey sis, sup bro, what you playing?" Sonic asked as he took a floor pillow and sat down near the coffee table. "Sup man! We playing Chao Mystery Chase™!" Manic said as he high-fived his brother while fixing the two earrings in his left ear. "Manic and I were just about to play, wanna join?" Sonia asked as she gave him a smile as she moved her short hair to the side a bit behind her ears while giving off a laugh of joy.
"Oh yes! I loved this game! I call Normal Chao piece!" Sonic said as he laughed a bit. "That's cool, Sonia chose the Hero Chao piece, and I chose the Omochao piece" Manic said as he smiled at his brother and moved the bangs out of his way. "Hey, do you think my boyfriend can play?" Sonic asked as the two looked at Shadow and gasped loudly. "Oh my god, he is hot! You got a keeper Sonic! Holy Chaos! Good for you! I am so happy that you found someone so hot for yourself, you deserve it! Hi, I am Sonia, Sonic's sister and fashonista!" Sonia yelled in excitement and winked at him while giggling. "Damn, nice looks, looks mysterious, and yet, has a calming aura about him, I dig that in a dude, sup, name's Manic, drummer and one to get into loads of trouble" Manic said as he did a peace-sign while sticking out his tongue playfully at him.
"Umm, hello, I am Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog, part of the G.U.N. unit, nice to me you, so, how do you play?" Shadow asked as he sat down near his boyfriend. "Well Shadow, here are the rules of how to play Chao Mystery Chase™, you have a Chao as your playing piece, and the objective is to find out who has stolen the apple, the apple chip will be under one of our own pieces and it is our job to find out who did it. We each roll the dice and if you land on a space that makes you reveal if you are the Chao who stole the apple or not, you have to lift up the piece and reveal if you are the Chao we are looking for or not, but here is the catch, if you lift up the piece and there is no apple, we have to switch bottom pieces, shuffle them, and then keep going until we find out the stolen apple thief before the shuffling happens again, it is really fun, trying to deceive the other until one of us is caught, and if the real culprit gets caught, you are out, until one player is left standing!" Sonia said with a smile.
"The last piece we have is the Dark Chao, which is perfect for you, here you go" Manic said as he gave Shadow the last piece. Shadow looked at it and took the last bottom piece as he placed the Chao on it. "Alright, I will go first, watch me babe" Sonic said as he picked up the dice and rolled them, landing a 7, moving his piece quickly. "Alright, I get to pick up a card and whatever is on the card, I move up a bit more, it is like a moving mechanism after you move, it adds onto your move set, so I move two times, and then I stay there until the next turn, but here is the thing, if you get the rare "Chao Free Card", and you are found as the culprit, you get to keep playing, because it helps your Chao stay in the game and be seen as a victim of planting evidence upon you!" Sonic said as he gave a high-five to his siblings.
"I swear, I am going to get that card and you will both be sorry if I am the culprit" Manic said while gloating. "Yeah yeah, until you get caught first that is" Sonia said with a laugh as she rolled next, moving her Chao piece and picking up a card, moving the Chao piece once more on a part of the board that said "Reveal" on it, prompting Sonia to lift up the bottom of her Chao and showing there was no apple chip, laughing a bit as they all took off their bottom pieces and Sonia shuffling them in her hand before placing them down and letting the others put their Chao on the bottom pieces again, continuing their skillful game.
~20 Minutes Later~
"I still can't believe I got out first! This is so unfair!" Sonia said as she watched the game which was still being played. "You're one to talk, if I hadn't rolled an 8 and not pick up a damn +2 card, I wouldn't have gotten caught!" Manic said as he watch the game as well. Sonic and Shadow were the only two players left, Sonic rolling a 9 and moved his piece, picking up a card and smiling widely as he didn't move. "It was a +0 card!" Sonic yelled as he looked at his boyfriend. "Damn it" Shadow said as he rolled the dice and rolled a 4, moving the piece and picking up a card that said +3 on it, making him finally land on a "Reveal" space. "Oh my chaos, the moment of truth!" Sonia yelled as the suspense was rising. "Is Shadow's Chao the apple thief or not?!" Manic yelled in anxiousness and excitement all at once.
Shadow lifted the Chao and low and behold, he had the apple chip under the piece. "OH!!!" Sonia and Manic yelled. "Well I win, sorry Shads, I guess your boyfriend wins—" Sonic was about to shout in victory until he saw Shadow pull out a card and smirk, showing it was the "Chao Free Card" meaning it wasn't over just yet. "Oh what is this? My Chao is not the apple thief? Such a daaaaammmmnnnnn shame" Shadow said while smirking, knowing Sonic was getting rather nervous and quaking in his shoes at the very moment he showed the card. "OOOOOOHHHHHHH CRAP!!!" Sonia and Manic yelled as they were still in suspense about who was going to win, Sonic sweating a bit, not wanting to lose to his boyfriend who was fairly new to the board game.
"Switch it up!" Sonia said as she watched. "Rules are rules!" Manic said as he hits the table a bit, his excitement and anxiousness getting higher as the rates of one of them winning are unknown. They both took of their bottom pieces as Manic took the cards away from them and shuffled them, quickly putting them back on the board once he was done, Sonia on the other hand shook the pieces in her hand and placed them down, so they wouldn't know which one was the one with the apple chip. Sonic picked the one on the right while Shadow took the one on the left.
Aleena heard the commotion and couldn't help but go into the living room and watch her children and Sonic's boyfriend indulged in their little board game, making her smile as she sat on the couch to watch who would win. "Hey mother, Sonic and Shadow are neck and neck now, you missed a lot" Sonia said while watching. "Yeah, Shadow had the "Chao Free Card" and now it is still on!" Manic said as he watched carefully. "I wonder who will win, Sonic or Shadow, only time will tell" Aleena said with a smile as she watched her son playing with his boyfriend.
Sonic rolled the dice, which rolled a 12, making him move the piece, and then lifted up a card, seeing it was a +2 card, making him move again before stopping and rubbing the sweat off of his forehead from the tension going ever greater. "What's the matter babe, scared to lose to me?" Shadow asked with a smirk. "N-No, I just don't wanna land on a "Reveal" space" Sonic said as he waited for his turn to be over. "Suuuuurrrreee" Shadow said as he rolled the dice, rolling a 7, moving his piece and then picking up a card, showing it was a +0 card, making him stay where he was, making Sonic pick up the dice, and rolling it again, making him roll a 2, picking up the card and revealing it was a +4 card, making him land on the "Reveal" space, making Sonia and Manic gasp for the moment to come.
Sonic gulped and slowly lifted up the piece, showing it had no apple chip under it. "Sonic is safe!" Sonia said. "Bro really looking like he about to lose it!" Manic said after Sonia. They both take off the bottom pieces again and give them to Sonia to let her shuffle them, after waiting a few seconds, Sonia put down the bottom pieces and Sonic was hesitant to choose a piece, Shadow decided to go first, taking the one on the right, leaving Sonic with one on the left, slowly picking up the only piece that was left on the coffee table. "Time to see who will win! Who will take C.M.C.™ Championship?!" Manic said as he gave Shadow the dice since it was his turn.
Sonic waited in anxiousness as he wasn't sure which of the two of them had the apple chip underneath it. "The suspense is killing me!" Sonia said as she softly bites her finger. Shadow rolled the dice and rolled a 5 and moving his piece, picking up a card, and getting a +3, making him move again. Sonic takes the dice and rolls a 10, moving his piece as he picks up a card, getting +1, and moving again as well. "S-Shadow, if you win, I will accept my defeat, but if I win, you kiss me on my face as many times until I say stop" Sonic said as he looked at Shadow's hand that held the dice. "Depends babe, I love a little challenge" Shadow said as he rolled the dice.
The number he got was 11, moving the piece and picking up a card, revealing a +1, landing him on a "Reveal" space, both siblings gasping loudly and waiting for the result. Shadow slowly lifted up the piece and it had the apple chip on it, making Sonic scream loudly and jump up and down, knowing he just won the board game. "OH MY CHAOS!!! THANK YOU SWEET BEAUTIFUL LUCK!!! HOLY CRAP!!! YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!" Sonic yelled as he went near Shadow. Shadow shrugged while chuckling a bit as both siblings cheered for Sonic and clapped for him. Aleena laughed a bit, seeing her children so happy that they were having a great time.
"You know what this means mister!" Sonic said as he sits on his lap and waits for his reward. "Alright, a loss for me is just a win too, because I get to give you as many kisses as you desire" Shadow said as he grabbed him and started to shower his face with kisses, the two siblings awing at the cute couple. Aleena smiled brightly, knowing her son was happy with this man. "Shadow, I am proud to say that you are welcomed to come back here anytime with Sonic, welcome to our family" Aleena said with a giggle.
"Sweet! Can't wait to play C.M.C.™ again when he comes back!" Manic said with a smile. "Of course, I won't back down from a board game!" Sonia said while laughing a bit. "And stop, no more kisses for me for now mister" Sonic said while laughing a bit. Shadow stopped kissing his face as he kissed his nose a bit. "Thank you Aleena, I would love to come back when my boyfriend wants to see you again, I will take him for you so he can be safe" Shadow said as he held his boyfriend. "So, how long have you two known each other?" Aleena asked.
"Well, a long time, but haven't started dating, your son and I were rivals, but after a lot of our fights, we somehow felt a connection, but your son made the first move, and I just allowed him to, and now here we are, boyfriends" Shadow said as he kissed his head, making Sonic smile brightly. "That is so sweet, at least you two have each other" Aleena said as she goes to the kitchen and comes back with a plate of chocolate chip cookies she made. Sonic gasped loudly as he saw the cookies. "Oh my chaos, mom, are those chocolate chip cookies?" Sonic asked.
"Yes baby, here, have a cookie, made them in my spare time while you 4 were playing your board game, call it a sweet snack break" Aleena said as she held out the plate towards him, Sonic quickly taking a cookie. Aleena then directed the plate to Sonia and Manic, who each took one cookie. Aleena finally directed the plate to Shadow. "Here sweetheart, nice and fresh from the oven" Aleena said with a heartwarming smile as Shadow slowly took the cookie and took a bite out of it. "So good mom! Your cookies never cease to amaze my stomach!" Sonic said as he at the cookie only a few bites. "Mom's cookies are like a warm hug" Manic said. "Her cookies are like if sweetness and love had a baby" Sonia said.
Shadow was shocked at how good the cookie was, so soft, warm, and tasty. "Aleena, these cookies are delicious, thank you" Shadow said as Aleena smiled and rubbed his shoulder. "No problem sweetheart, I am just glad you enjoyed my baking" Aleena said as she took a cookie for herself and started to eat it. "I love mom's baking, she makes them with so much love and patience, she is like a miracle baker" Sonic said with a smile as all of them enjoyed her cookies, and enjoying their afternoon together.
~Later At Night~
"Aww, bro, we will miss you" Manic said as he hugged his brother as both Sonic and him hit each others' backs a bit before pulling themselves apart. "Hope to see you soon brother" Sonia said as she hugged him before pulling away from him. "I will miss you my son" Aleena said as she softly hugged him. "I will miss you all too, but don't worry, we will see each other again, I promise" Sonic said with a smile. "And Shadow, take good care of my boy" Aleena said as she hugged Shadow. "I will Aleena, you have my word" Shadow said as he felt Aleena slowly stop hugging him and smiling.
"Shadow come on, we don't wanna be out late" Sonic said as he walked to Shadow's motorcycle. "Shadow, I know I shouldn't say this, but, I see you as one of my own children, you are welcome to come back anytime whenever you feel like you want to again, my son" Aleena said as she kisses his head softly and smiled before walking back to her door and looking at the two, the siblings walking in with her too. Shadow was shocked but walked away, going to Sonic, who was sitting on his motorcycle.
"Bye ma, bye bro, bye sis, till the next time we see each other once again!" Sonic said as he felt Shadow getting on the motorcycle and starting the engine as he slowly drove the motorcycle off the driveway and into the street, stopping it for a brief moment. "Goodbye sweetie, you and Shadow get home safely now" Aleena said as she smiled. "We will! Bye!" Sonic said as he looked forward. Shadow drove away one the motocycle, Aleena smiling and closing the door behind her. Shadow rode away from the house's view, a little smile appearing on his face, glad he met Sonic's wonderful family that cares for him and his boyfriend's relationship as they drive away in the beautiful hue of the sunset to their home where they belong together, an amazing visit with his lover's family indeed.

"Honey, you can call me Aleena, I am so happy to meet my son's boyfriend, it is such a pleasure" Aleena said as she stopped hugging him and walked inside the house.
"Come on Shadow" Sonic said as he went in. Shadow looked and walked inside with them as Aleena closed the door. On the couch, Shadow saw both of Sonic's siblings playing a board game together. "Hey sis, sup bro, what you playing?" Sonic asked as he took a floor pillow and sat down near the coffee table. "Sup man! We playing Chao Mystery Chase™!" Manic said as he high-fived his brother while fixing the two earrings in his left ear. "Manic and I were just about to play, wanna join?" Sonia asked as she gave him a smile as she moved her short hair to the side a bit behind her ears while giving off a laugh of joy.
"Oh yes! I loved this game! I call Normal Chao piece!" Sonic said as he laughed a bit. "That's cool, Sonia chose the Hero Chao piece, and I chose the Omochao piece" Manic said as he smiled at his brother and moved the bangs out of his way. "Hey, do you think my boyfriend can play?" Sonic asked as the two looked at Shadow and gasped loudly. "Oh my god, he is hot! You got a keeper Sonic! Holy Chaos! Good for you! I am so happy that you found someone so hot for yourself, you deserve it! Hi, I am Sonia, Sonic's sister and fashonista!" Sonia yelled in excitement and winked at him while giggling. "Damn, nice looks, looks mysterious, and yet, has a calming aura about him, I dig that in a dude, sup, name's Manic, drummer and one to get into loads of trouble" Manic said as he did a peace-sign while sticking out his tongue playfully at him.
"Umm, hello, I am Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog, part of the G.U.N. unit, nice to me you, so, how do you play?" Shadow asked as he sat down near his boyfriend. "Well Shadow, here are the rules of how to play Chao Mystery Chase™, you have a Chao as your playing piece, and the objective is to find out who has stolen the apple, the apple chip will be under one of our own pieces and it is our job to find out who did it. We each roll the dice and if you land on a space that makes you reveal if you are the Chao who stole the apple or not, you have to lift up the piece and reveal if you are the Chao we are looking for or not, but here is the catch, if you lift up the piece and there is no apple, we have to switch bottom pieces, shuffle them, and then keep going until we find out the stolen apple thief before the shuffling happens again, it is really fun, trying to deceive the other until one of us is caught, and if the real culprit gets caught, you are out, until one player is left standing!" Sonia said with a smile.
"The last piece we have is the Dark Chao, which is perfect for you, here you go" Manic said as he gave Shadow the last piece. Shadow looked at it and took the last bottom piece as he placed the Chao on it. "Alright, I will go first, watch me babe" Sonic said as he picked up the dice and rolled them, landing a 7, moving his piece quickly. "Alright, I get to pick up a card and whatever is on the card, I move up a bit more, it is like a moving mechanism after you move, it adds onto your move set, so I move two times, and then I stay there until the next turn, but here is the thing, if you get the rare "Chao Free Card", and you are found as the culprit, you get to keep playing, because it helps your Chao stay in the game and be seen as a victim of planting evidence upon you!" Sonic said as he gave a high-five to his siblings.
"I swear, I am going to get that card and you will both be sorry if I am the culprit" Manic said while gloating. "Yeah yeah, until you get caught first that is" Sonia said with a laugh as she rolled next, moving her Chao piece and picking up a card, moving the Chao piece once more on a part of the board that said "Reveal" on it, prompting Sonia to lift up the bottom of her Chao and showing there was no apple chip, laughing a bit as they all took off their bottom pieces and Sonia shuffling them in her hand before placing them down and letting the others put their Chao on the bottom pieces again, continuing their skillful game.
~20 Minutes Later~
"I still can't believe I got out first! This is so unfair!" Sonia said as she watched the game which was still being played. "You're one to talk, if I hadn't rolled an 8 and not pick up a damn +2 card, I wouldn't have gotten caught!" Manic said as he watch the game as well. Sonic and Shadow were the only two players left, Sonic rolling a 9 and moved his piece, picking up a card and smiling widely as he didn't move. "It was a +0 card!" Sonic yelled as he looked at his boyfriend. "Damn it" Shadow said as he rolled the dice and rolled a 4, moving the piece and picking up a card that said +3 on it, making him finally land on a "Reveal" space. "Oh my chaos, the moment of truth!" Sonia yelled as the suspense was rising. "Is Shadow's Chao the apple thief or not?!" Manic yelled in anxiousness and excitement all at once.
Shadow lifted the Chao and low and behold, he had the apple chip under the piece. "OH!!!" Sonia and Manic yelled. "Well I win, sorry Shads, I guess your boyfriend wins—" Sonic was about to shout in victory until he saw Shadow pull out a card and smirk, showing it was the "Chao Free Card" meaning it wasn't over just yet. "Oh what is this? My Chao is not the apple thief? Such a daaaaammmmnnnnn shame" Shadow said while smirking, knowing Sonic was getting rather nervous and quaking in his shoes at the very moment he showed the card. "OOOOOOHHHHHHH CRAP!!!" Sonia and Manic yelled as they were still in suspense about who was going to win, Sonic sweating a bit, not wanting to lose to his boyfriend who was fairly new to the board game.
"Switch it up!" Sonia said as she watched. "Rules are rules!" Manic said as he hits the table a bit, his excitement and anxiousness getting higher as the rates of one of them winning are unknown. They both took of their bottom pieces as Manic took the cards away from them and shuffled them, quickly putting them back on the board once he was done, Sonia on the other hand shook the pieces in her hand and placed them down, so they wouldn't know which one was the one with the apple chip. Sonic picked the one on the right while Shadow took the one on the left.
Aleena heard the commotion and couldn't help but go into the living room and watch her children and Sonic's boyfriend indulged in their little board game, making her smile as she sat on the couch to watch who would win. "Hey mother, Sonic and Shadow are neck and neck now, you missed a lot" Sonia said while watching. "Yeah, Shadow had the "Chao Free Card" and now it is still on!" Manic said as he watched carefully. "I wonder who will win, Sonic or Shadow, only time will tell" Aleena said with a smile as she watched her son playing with his boyfriend.
Sonic rolled the dice, which rolled a 12, making him move the piece, and then lifted up a card, seeing it was a +2 card, making him move again before stopping and rubbing the sweat off of his forehead from the tension going ever greater. "What's the matter babe, scared to lose to me?" Shadow asked with a smirk. "N-No, I just don't wanna land on a "Reveal" space" Sonic said as he waited for his turn to be over. "Suuuuurrrreee" Shadow said as he rolled the dice, rolling a 7, moving his piece and then picking up a card, showing it was a +0 card, making him stay where he was, making Sonic pick up the dice, and rolling it again, making him roll a 2, picking up the card and revealing it was a +4 card, making him land on the "Reveal" space, making Sonia and Manic gasp for the moment to come.
Sonic gulped and slowly lifted up the piece, showing it had no apple chip under it. "Sonic is safe!" Sonia said. "Bro really looking like he about to lose it!" Manic said after Sonia. They both take off the bottom pieces again and give them to Sonia to let her shuffle them, after waiting a few seconds, Sonia put down the bottom pieces and Sonic was hesitant to choose a piece, Shadow decided to go first, taking the one on the right, leaving Sonic with one on the left, slowly picking up the only piece that was left on the coffee table. "Time to see who will win! Who will take C.M.C.™ Championship?!" Manic said as he gave Shadow the dice since it was his turn.
Sonic waited in anxiousness as he wasn't sure which of the two of them had the apple chip underneath it. "The suspense is killing me!" Sonia said as she softly bites her finger. Shadow rolled the dice and rolled a 5 and moving his piece, picking up a card, and getting a +3, making him move again. Sonic takes the dice and rolls a 10, moving his piece as he picks up a card, getting +1, and moving again as well. "S-Shadow, if you win, I will accept my defeat, but if I win, you kiss me on my face as many times until I say stop" Sonic said as he looked at Shadow's hand that held the dice. "Depends babe, I love a little challenge" Shadow said as he rolled the dice.
The number he got was 11, moving the piece and picking up a card, revealing a +1, landing him on a "Reveal" space, both siblings gasping loudly and waiting for the result. Shadow slowly lifted up the piece and it had the apple chip on it, making Sonic scream loudly and jump up and down, knowing he just won the board game. "OH MY CHAOS!!! THANK YOU SWEET BEAUTIFUL LUCK!!! HOLY CRAP!!! YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!" Sonic yelled as he went near Shadow. Shadow shrugged while chuckling a bit as both siblings cheered for Sonic and clapped for him. Aleena laughed a bit, seeing her children so happy that they were having a great time.
"You know what this means mister!" Sonic said as he sits on his lap and waits for his reward. "Alright, a loss for me is just a win too, because I get to give you as many kisses as you desire" Shadow said as he grabbed him and started to shower his face with kisses, the two siblings awing at the cute couple. Aleena smiled brightly, knowing her son was happy with this man. "Shadow, I am proud to say that you are welcomed to come back here anytime with Sonic, welcome to our family" Aleena said with a giggle.
"Sweet! Can't wait to play C.M.C.™ again when he comes back!" Manic said with a smile. "Of course, I won't back down from a board game!" Sonia said while laughing a bit. "And stop, no more kisses for me for now mister" Sonic said while laughing a bit. Shadow stopped kissing his face as he kissed his nose a bit. "Thank you Aleena, I would love to come back when my boyfriend wants to see you again, I will take him for you so he can be safe" Shadow said as he held his boyfriend. "So, how long have you two known each other?" Aleena asked.
"Well, a long time, but haven't started dating, your son and I were rivals, but after a lot of our fights, we somehow felt a connection, but your son made the first move, and I just allowed him to, and now here we are, boyfriends" Shadow said as he kissed his head, making Sonic smile brightly. "That is so sweet, at least you two have each other" Aleena said as she goes to the kitchen and comes back with a plate of chocolate chip cookies she made. Sonic gasped loudly as he saw the cookies. "Oh my chaos, mom, are those chocolate chip cookies?" Sonic asked.
"Yes baby, here, have a cookie, made them in my spare time while you 4 were playing your board game, call it a sweet snack break" Aleena said as she held out the plate towards him, Sonic quickly taking a cookie. Aleena then directed the plate to Sonia and Manic, who each took one cookie. Aleena finally directed the plate to Shadow. "Here sweetheart, nice and fresh from the oven" Aleena said with a heartwarming smile as Shadow slowly took the cookie and took a bite out of it. "So good mom! Your cookies never cease to amaze my stomach!" Sonic said as he at the cookie only a few bites. "Mom's cookies are like a warm hug" Manic said. "Her cookies are like if sweetness and love had a baby" Sonia said.
Shadow was shocked at how good the cookie was, so soft, warm, and tasty. "Aleena, these cookies are delicious, thank you" Shadow said as Aleena smiled and rubbed his shoulder. "No problem sweetheart, I am just glad you enjoyed my baking" Aleena said as she took a cookie for herself and started to eat it. "I love mom's baking, she makes them with so much love and patience, she is like a miracle baker" Sonic said with a smile as all of them enjoyed her cookies, and enjoying their afternoon together.
~Later At Night~
"Aww, bro, we will miss you" Manic said as he hugged his brother as both Sonic and him hit each others' backs a bit before pulling themselves apart. "Hope to see you soon brother" Sonia said as she hugged him before pulling away from him. "I will miss you my son" Aleena said as she softly hugged him. "I will miss you all too, but don't worry, we will see each other again, I promise" Sonic said with a smile. "And Shadow, take good care of my boy" Aleena said as she hugged Shadow. "I will Aleena, you have my word" Shadow said as he felt Aleena slowly stop hugging him and smiling.
"Shadow come on, we don't wanna be out late" Sonic said as he walked to Shadow's motorcycle. "Shadow, I know I shouldn't say this, but, I see you as one of my own children, you are welcome to come back anytime whenever you feel like you want to again, my son" Aleena said as she kisses his head softly and smiled before walking back to her door and looking at the two, the siblings walking in with her too. Shadow was shocked but walked away, going to Sonic, who was sitting on his motorcycle.
"Bye ma, bye bro, bye sis, till the next time we see each other once again!" Sonic said as he felt Shadow getting on the motorcycle and starting the engine as he slowly drove the motorcycle off the driveway and into the street, stopping it for a brief moment. "Goodbye sweetie, you and Shadow get home safely now" Aleena said as she smiled. "We will! Bye!" Sonic said as he looked forward. Shadow drove away one the motocycle, Aleena smiling and closing the door behind her. Shadow rode away from the house's view, a little smile appearing on his face, glad he met Sonic's wonderful family that cares for him and his boyfriend's relationship as they drive away in the beautiful hue of the sunset to their home where they belong together, an amazing visit with his lover's family indeed.
