Shadow was writing on paper as he was trying hard to think of something as Sonic came up behind him and hugged him, Shadow flinching a bit and turning over the paper, covering it swiftly with a book. "Hi babe, I am back from my trip to see mom, she wanted me to plant her some nice begonias she wanted, but she broke her trowel and needed a spare from me, so I bought one for her and decided to help my mother out" Sonic said with a smile as he looked at Shadow. "That is nice, love that you spent time with her, hope she loves her flowers" Shadow said as he sips a bit of his coffee to distract Sonic from looking down at the book that is covering the paper he was desperately hiding.
"I am so tired, gonna take a nap, planting flowers isn't easy, you need the right digging tools, the depth of the hole in which the plant has to go in, and you even need to make sure the plant doesn't snap off anything when you plant them in the ground, they are very delicate" Sonic said as he yawned a bit and went upstairs to the room to sleep. Shadow sighed in relief as he pulled out the paper from under the book and turned it over where there was writing on it. "I need to finish this, but how when I don't know the right words to express how I feel" Shadow said as his paper was titled "Song Ideas", Shadow sighing as he tried to write words that sounded good together so he can try to incorporate them into a song.
"I am so fucking bad at this" Shadow said to himself as he plops his head on the table and sighs in a bit of defeat. "I give up, no words are coming to mind, it is so hard" Shadow said as he then takes out a necklace that Maria had gave him before the tragedy struck. "If she was here, she could have helped me, she was so smart, just like Gerald" Shadow said as he then looked at a picture of Sonic and suddenly thought of an idea. "Follow your heart" Shadow said as he held the picture close. "That is what he would say if he saw something going wrong" Shadow said as he puts the picture down and started to write something that helped him express his love for him.
~2 Hour Later~
Shadow was almost finished with his song, a few crossed-out words were seen on the paper that he was writing on. Shadow sighed in relief that he was almost completely done with the song he created. Shadow read the song in his mind and saw it was great so far, wanting to finish it in time before Sonic woke up. Shadow thought of a couple of more words and was finally finished. "Hope he likes it" Shadow said as he then picked up the guitar that they won at the carnival and puts it on himself, trying to the keys that work for his song so he can play it to Sonic, determined to make it work somehow.
Each strum of the guitar, Shadow jotted down the string that played the tune he wanted. "Alright, this might actually work" Shadow said as he still kept finding the right tunes for his song. Shadow was listening and still jotting down the notes he needed for the song to be like he wanted. Suddenly he got a call from Manic, himself stopping everything and picking up the phone. "Yes? Hello?" Shadow said. "Hey man, can me and Sonia crash for the afternoon at your place? Her motorcycle needs a repair and we need to stop by somewhere until it is fixed, you mind man?" Manic asked. "Sure, come by, I will give you my address, goodbye and get here safely" Shadow said as he hung up the phone and text them the address, putting down his phone and returning to finding the right guitar notes for the song he wanted to sing for him.
~15 Minutes Later~
A knock was heard at the door as Shadow puts down the guitar and goes to the door, opening it to be greeted by the siblings. "Shadow, nice to see you" Sonia said as she gave him a hug for a few seconds before walking inside. "Sup man, and maybe future brother-in-law, how you doing?" Manic said as he walked inside with Sonia, both of them sitting on the couch. "I am going okay, but maybe you can help me with something" Shadow said as he closed the door and locked it. "Oh, what do you need help with?" Sonia asked. "Yeah, what you need?" Manic asked as well. "Maybe you can help me with some guitar notes, I am making a song for your brother, he is napping right now, and I want it to be ready" Shadow said as he picked up his paper and showed it to them.
"Wow, you made this song all by yourself?" Sonia asked. "Yes, but I am not good with music, and I was wondering if you both can help me with the guitar notes I should play, I am looking for calming and slow, not raging rock band if you get where I am going" Shadow said. "Yeah no prob my man, we know notes for the guitar, we would be happy to help with the notes you need" Manic said as he looked at the paper too. "Great, thank you" Shadow said as he picks up the guitar and walked to the living room and sitting on the coffee table. "Alright, so it should sound romantic and something someone can be moved by just by the music alone" Sonia said.
"Like for example, a fancy ball, they have violins, cellos, and even pianos, all setting the mood for a slow yet beautiful waltz, think of that, but for your song" Manic said as he smiled. "Alright, make a tune with your mouth, and I will try to play it on the guitar for you, that should help" Sonia said as she grabbed the guitar and held it. "Alright, here it goes" Shadow said as he started to hum a beautiful melody, Sonia and Manic just staring at him in shock, not knowing the hedgehog had a musical side to him deep down. After Shadow was done humming the tune he wanted, Sonia quickly started to play it on the guitar for him and writing down the notes after she finished for him. "There, something like this" Sonia said as she showed him the tune lay out so far.
"I like that, thank you, now help with the rest please, I can't do it on my own apparently" Shadow said with a chuckle. "Alright, but we gonna need snacks and drinks if we gonna continue this, can't play on an empty stomach" Manic said with a soft giggle. "Manic, that is all you ever want, food, drinks, and dick" Sonia said as she gave him a glare. "I condone these messages, thank you for telling him" Manic said with a laugh. Shadow laughed a bit too, not expecting Sonia to go there. "Yeah yeah, now come on, snacks are needed, please" Sonia said as she looked at Manic with the same glare, Manic sticking out his tongue playfully in the process.
Shadow got up and started to look for snacks and drinks, himself finding some chocolates and cookies, along with some mini fruit drinks, taking them back to the living room and sitting back on the coffe table. "I skimmed through the song, and I gotta say, it is beautiful, but be sure to remember which words to sing when you play the guitar, you don't wanna get confused" Sonia said as she picked up a cookie and ate it. "Hate to say it but she right" Manic said as he takes a chocolate, unwraps it, and throws it into the air to immediately then catch it in his mouth and chew on it. "I will remember that, thank you Sonia, and you too Manic" Shadow said as they then got back to writing the notes for the song again as they snacked on the sweets.
~30 Minutes Later~
"There, you are done Shadow, Sonic is going to love it, and maybe we can stay to hear it" Sonia said with a smile. "Yeah, I can't wait to hear that sweet vocal pipe of yours" Manic said. "Well, I hope he likes it, it is something I wanted to do for him since I fell for him, I really hope this song pleases him" Shadow said as he puts the guitar down and the song somewhere Sonic won't find it. There were then footsteps coming down the stairs, Shadow, Sonia, and Manic looking up to see that Sonic woke up from his nap. "Sonic!" Sonia and Manic said as they got to their brother and hugged him. Sonic yawned and popped a mint into his mouth as they hugged.
"Hi love, had a good nap I hope?" Shadow asked. "Yeah, I needed it, and now I feel refreshed" Sonic said as he slowly got wide awake due to the mint's fresh cooling effect. "Good, babe, there is something I wanna show you, or better yet, perform for you" Shadow said as he sits down and Sonic looking confused. Sonia and Manic winked at Shadow as they sat on the couch. "Huh?" Sonic said as he slowly went to the couch and sat between his siblings as Shadow takes the guitar and looked at the siblings nervously.
Sonia and Manic smiled and gestured him to give it a go. "Umm, what is going on?" Sonic asked, confused of what was going on?" Sonic asked. Shadow took a few deep breaths and smiled as he looked at Sonic right in the eyes. "Ahem, this is a song, I made, for the love of my life, Sonic the Hedgehog, the one who never gave up on me and was always there when I needed him the most, babe, this is for you, I hope you like it, my valiant blue hero" Shadow said before strumming the strings of the guitar for a few seconds before finally singing, his voice not being what they thought it would sound like, the sound of a passionate singer, his beautiful dark voice moving Sonic's heart as the guitar played during his song.

Sonic sheds a few tears, his heart feeling the emotions of the song as a whole. "T-That was beautiful, thank you honey" Sonic said as he got up and passionately kissed him on the lips. Sonia and Manic were shedding tears, feeling the same way their brother felt. "That voice, my chaos, it was so moving" Sonia said as she wipes her tears. "I don't fucking cry listening to songs like this, but damn it, the waterworks did it for this one, his voice is just that good" Manic said as he takes out a hanky and blows his nose on it. Shadow broke the kiss, kisses his head, and wipes his tears. "You liked it?" Shadow asked. "I loved it, it came from your heart, and I felt it, that is just so amazing to have a boyfriend who can sing and play like I do, but I didn't expect him to even make a beautiful song just for me" Sonic said.
"I did it because my heart loves you, and it always will, my Sonikku" Shadow said as he took the guitar off and kisses his cheek. "Shadow, you were amazing" Sonia said. "If I had to choose from 1 out of 10 for performance, you get a fucking 11" Manic said. "Thank you Sonia, and Manic, for helping me out. "Wait, they helped?" Sonic asked as he looked at his siblings and then back at Shadow. "Yes, they helped with the strings and the acoustics that I should play, I just executed their work, and my, it was such a success" Shadow said with a smile. "It was, you moved my heart with that gorgeous voice, this is why I love you, you are so full of mystery and surprises" Sonic said as he kissed his nose. "Expect that more in the future, my love" Shadow said as he hugged Sonic, shedding a tear of happiness, overjoyed that his song was loved by someone he truly cared about, his own boyfriend appreciating his effort and talent that night.
