Eggman growled loudly as he was up against a whole horde of heroes against himself, cornered inside the ancient structure. "YOU ARE NEVER GETTING THE HEDGEHOG!!!" Eggman yelled. "WE ARE FATHER, AND HE IS NOT JUST A HEDGEHOG, HE IS A MOTHER AND IS NAMED SONIC!!! YOU ARE SO HEARTLESS, I BET YOUR GRANDFATHER AND YOUR COUSIN WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTED TO KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO STEAL AN INNOCENT LITTLE BABY FROM THEM!!! HOW CRUEL WILL YOU POSSIBLY GO FATHER?!" Sage yelled at him. "THIS IS TO MAKE MY DREAMS A REALITY SAGE, YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND! NOW GET OVER HERE ALONG WITH METAL! OR YOU WILL BE REPROGRAMMED AGAIN YOUNG LADY!!!" Eggman said.
"NO, SHADOW SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT YOU A LONG TIME AGO BEFORE WE MET! YOU ARE THE REASON WHY I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT YOU WITH JOY ANYMORE!!! NOT EVEN THIS BRINGS ME JOY, THIS BRINGS ME GREAT PAIN CALLED HEARTBREAK! SOMETHING YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND FATHER!!!" Sage yelled as she cried and went into Shadow's arms for comfort. "You are safe with us Sage, no longer will you be hurt—" Before Shadow said anymore, Eggman hopped into his Egg Mobile and attached it to the Egg Dragoon, shooting at the Freedom Fighters with his Drill Attack that detached from the massive robot.
Sage saw this and floated to it, using her control to stop the drill and return it to Eggman. "THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" Eggman said as he quickly moved his Egg Dragoon to avoid the drill as he flew out of the ancient structure with the final Chaos Emerald and Sonic along with him, Sonic banging on the glass in pain and agony as the glass sphere fused to the back of the Egg Dragoon. "HEY!!! YOU AREN'T ESCAPING AGAIN!!!" Shadow said as he was about to throw a Chaos Spear but Sage stopped him. "NO, IF YOU HIT HIM, SONIC WILL GET HURT IF THEY FALL!!! I AM 95% SURE OF THIS!!!" Sage said to Shadow. Shadow growled more and canceled his attack, not wanting Sonic and the baby to be injured by accident.
"SONIC IS BASICALLY MY SHIELD, ATTACK IF YOU WANT, BUT YOU ARE PUTTING SONIC AND MY LITTLE WINNING TICKET INSIDE OF HIM IN DANGER!" Eggman said while laughing loudly. "BUT WE CAN STILL ATTACK AROUND YOU!!!" Tails yelled. The others looked at him and realized he was onto something. "IF WE CAN HIT VITAL POINTS ON THE EGG DRAGOON, WE CAN AVOID HURTING SONIC ALTOGETHER!!!" Tails said as the others nodded and understood what he was saying. "No wonder why Sonic likes you so much fox, thanks for finding a flaw in his robot!" Shadow said as he looked and saw some vital points on the Egg Dragoon, 2 being the stomach and lower abdomen, and the Egg Mobile's Cockpit.
"AIM FOR THE TWO VISIBLE WEAK POINTS, I WILL HIT THE COCKPIT!" Shadow said as he looked and skated near some grinding rails, ready for the others to take the initiative to attack the two weak points he said. Sage followed Shadow, wanting to help him and redeem herself. "I am coming with you, you will need all the help you can get cousin, leave catching you to me if anything!" Sage said as she floated near him. "Thanks Sage, now let's crash the doctor's escape getaway party!" Shadow said as he jumped onto the rails. "GO!!! HIT HIM WITH EVERYTHING WE GOT, WEAK POINTS ONLY!!!" Tails said as he flew up with Cream. "We will stop this! Together!" Cream said as she flew with Tails.
"HALF OF YOU, HIT THE STOMACH, THE OTHER HALF, HIT THE LOWER ABDOMEN!!!" Amy said as she saw Rouge flying to Eggman's robot, using a Screw Kick to kick the lower abdomen. "Take that Eggman, this is going to end quicker if we stay united! Give up now!" Rouge said as she flies to pick up a special bomb of her and attaches it to the robot's chest plate, the bomb ticking for the detonation will go off in the next 5 minutes, quickly flying around Dr. Eggman as he tries to shoot her down with his Fire Blasts, allowing the Freedom Fighters to fight together and deal some damage to Eggman's robot. "Face the fury of my PikoPiko Hammer!" Amy yelled as she had Knuckles launch her, the echidna following after her as Amy hits the robot's stomach while Knuckles punched the sides of the robot. "Take that Egghead!" Knuckles said as he grabbed Amy and glided her back to safety.
"IF WE GET THE CHAOS EMERALD, WE WILL WIN THIS, I KNOW IT!!!" Tails said as he flew to Eggman and avoids his Fire Blasts with Cream. "You will fall Eggman, it's your calling to give up!" Silver yelled as he floated to the stomach and used a Psychic Knife on it along with Mephiles hurling a big rock at the abdomen, both of them dealing damage to the robot's body. Eggman growled loudly as he then uses his drill attack to try and skewer the Freedom Fighters into submission so they wouldn't fight back but Fleetway sees this and jumps up along with Eclipse, slashing off the arm that deals the drill attacks, Shadow almost near him as he jumps off the grinding rails and grabs onto Rouge. "Need a lift Shadow?" Rouge asked. "Don't I ever in this time of need!" Shadow said as he felt Rouge fly him up high as he shoots Chaos Spears at the cockpit, avoiding shooting at the glass sphere with his pregnant lover was.
Scourge growled and uses his Spin Dash to hit the robot's open spots while Manic banged his drum to fling rocks at Scourge so he can dash into them to shoot at the robot's front. "Get wrecked!" Scourge said. "No one messes with this brother, he will, and he meaning I, WILL KICK YOUR ASS!!!" Manic said as he kept banging his drum. Rookie smiled at Whisper before the both of them aimed for the stomach and lower abdomen, shooting at them with their Wispons' enhanced powers, making sure damage was being dealt in the process while Infinite made an illusional scenario for Eggman to be tricked by so they can land more hits to the Egg Dragoon. "This is for our ally!" Rookie said. "A-And this is for the little baby!" Whisper yelled, not whispering at that moment, everyone hearing her voice loud and clear. "Drown in my illusions Eggman!" Infinite said as he still let the illusion take hold of Dr. Eggman's intelligence between reality and the facade he was creating.
"Throw me Mighty!" Espio said as he holds out his arms while taking out two kunais. "You got it!" Mighty said as he grabs him and hurls him at the lower abdomen, Espio slashing the glass, causing further damage. "AIM FOR THE STOMACH TOO!!!" Vector said as he lifts up rocks for Mighty to hurl with him, Mighty and Vector both aiming for much higher areas on the Egg Dragoon, his Fire Blasting gun to be more precise. Espio listened to Vector as he crawled up and stabbed the glass with his kunais, both weak spots being very damaged. Charmy flew up and started to taunt Eggman as he flew around him, making sure he was still preoccupied with those who flew around him in the air. "Can't catch me Egghead!" Charmy said playfully, irritating Eggman as due to the Phantom Ruby's illusions, he was missing his targets with his Fire Blasts that were getting less power due to the rocks being thrown on his blaster.
"Time to ignite the flames! Burn!" Blaze said as she throws her flame at the robot's broken stomach and melts the metal off, with only half of the Egg Dragoon's body remaining left. "I have been waiting a long time for this!" Tangle said as she used her tail to grab the molten cooled metal and use it to clobber the Fire Blaster clean off of the robot's body. "Take a little STAB at your Mechanical Chest!" Sonia said as she plays her keytar keys to help Tikal traverse upward so she can attack Eggman head-on. "For peace to prevail, we will stop you for good!" Tikal said she throws her spear at the Egg Dragoon's cockpit, helping Shadow's Chaos Spears break the glass on his Egg Mobile with her spear's sharp tip helping to crack the glass upon the impact.
"Hurt my son and grandchild, you will suffer my wrath!" Aleena said as she jump and feels Tails and Cream help her up to him as they then let her go once she was at the cockpit level. Aleena screamed as she used her leg to crack the glass more, Eggman screaming due to his glass about to shatter for the Freedom Fighters to get that window of success they need. "YOU ARE RUINING EVERYTHING!!!" Eggman yelled. Sonic was hoping this would be over soon as he was shaken up a bit but it was gentle shakes he felt from the Egg Dragoon gaining too much damage, himself being safe as Tails predicted. "Give up human, this is not worth fighting for, I would now, my son reminds me of that every time I am with him" Black Doom said as he floated fast near the glass and shatters it with his clenched three-fingered hand, the Chaos Emerald being within reach.
"SHADOW NOW!!!" Sage said as she pointed at their moment to win. Shadow let go of Rouge as he quickly dove down into the Egg Mobile and steals the White Chaos Emerald, flipping out of the cockpit and onto the ground, the other six Chaos Emeralds slowly floating around him as the others backed up to give Shadow room as all seven Emeralds circled around him. Eggman nervously laughed as he was about to fly away with Sonic but noticed his robot was in critical condition. "The servers are the seven Chaos, Chaos is power, enriched by the heart, the heart is the controller, the controller serves to unify the chaos! THIS IS WILL BE YOUR END!!!" Shadow said as he floated up as the Emeralds floated around him faster, the 7 of them going into Shadow as he immediately turned into his Super State, the one thing that is strong against Eggman.
Eggman was about to flee in his Egg Mobile but Shadow without hesitation, flew to the Egg Dragoon and started to land powerful attacks on it, crushing the metal like a soda can, the robot collapsing from each punch and kick he dealt to the front, avoiding any way to not hurt Sonic and his baby in the process. "IT IS ABOUT TO BLOW!!!" Eggman yelled as Shadow purposefully kicked Eggman's Egg Mobile upward as Eggman screamed, Shadow then going to the beat-up robot to remove the sphere Sonic was held in before the robot blows up due to Rouge's bomb about to set off in 15 seconds. Shadow quickly pushed himself up on the sphere, removing it along with Sonic so he is now out of harm's way. "Hang on sweetie!" Shadow said as he hastily floated up as the Egg Dragoon exploded.
The others cheered as Eggman lost, once again, proving that their sheer numbers were enough to stop him. Shadow screamed as he then punched the glass, his powerful punch breaking the indestructible glass sphere to pieces, Shadow immediately catching Sonic bridal style, holding him close. Sonic cried loudly as he was in Shadow's arms again, grateful he was saved. "You saved me! Thank you! I knew you would save us!" Sonic said as he cried loudly still. "Shhhhh, I am here, I would never leave someone who brought me happiness, you are too precious to me, and our baby too, is she okay?" Shadow said. "Yes, she is okay, and I bet grateful too for saving us" Sonic said as he kissed Shadow on the lips while Shadow kissed back, floating down slowly to the group.
"SONIC!!!" the Freedom Fighters rejoiced as they have their comrade and trusted ally back. Sage smiled but saw Eggman falling, making sure she caught him before he hit the ground. "Father, it is over, this ends, now" Sage said, being firm and serious. "YOU ARE A DISGRACE!" Eggman yelled. "And here I thought you would thank me for saving you, see, you don't care about happiness, not even Orbot, Cubot, or Metal know what happiness is! From now on, it is my time to know what is right for me, I am not following your commands anymore, I am done being your little "daughter", I rather be appreciated than used! Do you think that sounds fair for me!? FOR ME! But no, you only care and loathe about Sonic more than me. . . WHY DO YOU HATE HIM MORE THAN YOU "LOVE" ME?!" Sage yelled as she sheds tears. Eggman growled and got up as he looked at the hedgehogs.
"You don't really care about what I want to do! Never! It is always about you! Not even once about me! So go ahead, do your worst, but not at them, do it at me, I dare you!" Sage yelled as she floated to the others. Shadow held Sonic close as he put him on his feet. "I feel so overjoyed you all saved me. . . I am so happy. . ." Sonic was about to finish but screamed in sheer indescribable pain as he holds his stomach, the others panicking as they saw blood leaking from his lower region as he sheds a lot of tears from the pain. "THE BABY!!! THE BABY IS COMING!!!" Sonic yelled as the others started to panic more. Shadow mostly was the one to panic, since he didn't know how to help his fiance out. "WE NEED TO GET VANILLA!!!" Aleena said. "WATCH HIM PLEASE! DON'T LET EGGMAN NEAR HIM SAGE!" Shadow said as he floated up in determination to get Vanilla, and fast. "You can count on me!" Sage said as she kept a keen eye on her ex-father. "CHAOS CONTROL!!!" Shadow yelled as he disappeared, the others laying Sonic down so he can have support, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao concerned for Sonic, hoping he will be alright.
~15 Minutes Later~
Shadow came back with Vanilla and the four Chao as he canceled his Super State and skated near Sonic who was crying so much in pain from him dilating. Sage still kept and eye on her ex-father, who was stomping in defeat, acting like a big baby. "I wished I wasn't created by someone so selfish, but if I didn't, this situation would have been much worse!" Sage said as she floated near Sonic. "IT HURTS!!!" Sonic screamed in pain. "I am here Sonic! I am here!" Shadow said as he kneels near him and hugs him. "Sonic, how do you think I felt when birthing the three of you? Now you can understand what I meant by "no more siblings" now, but baby, you will get through this, once that baby is out, you will forget the pain and focus on your beautiful little miracle, I know I did" Aleena said. "Mom stop talking sappy at me! I am literally in labor! PAINFUL HORRIBLE LABOR!" Sonic yelled as he screamed again as Vanilla puts some towels under Sonic and a blanket over his lower stomach, Sonic's tears falling out fast.
"Sonic, breathe babe" Shadow said calmly as he rubbed his belly. Sonic listened as he slowly started to breathe in and out, trying to ignore the pain, but as soon as he was almost about to regulate his breathing, the pain came back harder, making him cry extremely loud. Some of the Koco were concerned for their blue hero, wanting to know if he was going to be okay. "He will be fine little ones, I assure you" Vanilla said calmly to the Koco groups as she puts on her long latex gloves. "THIS IS WORSE THAN CHILI DOG WEEK LAST YEAR!!! SO MUCH WORSE!!! I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN!!!" Sonic yelled as he screamed loudly again, the contractions being too unbearable for him to handle.
Vanilla looked down at his pussy as she slowly spreads it to see how much he dilated, but when she did, she screamed a bit in surprise. "WHAT WHAT?! WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?!" Sonic yelled. "You are giving birth this very moment, I can see a little head at your opening!" Vanilla said as the others were in shock. "Orbot, Cubot, help Vanilla out! Please!" Sage begged her brothers. "On it!" Orbot said. "I will be splendiferously helpful, whatever that means!" Cubot said as he and Orbot floated to Vanilla, ready to help her out. "I'M SCARED!!! I CAN'T DO THIS!!!" Sonic yelled as he cried and covered his eyes with his arm. But suddenly, he felt a hand softly grip onto him, making him look. "We are in this together Sonic, I will be here, every step of the way, cheering and carrying you on until this baby comes out, I promise, I will help you" Shadow said as he kissed his head while taking a cloth and rubbing the sweat off of his head.
"P-Promise?" Sonic asked. "I promise my love, now, let's help this baby into the world" Shadow said as he holds his hand still. "Alright Sonic, when I say push, you are going to push as hard as you can, the baby is in the right position to come out, all I need is pushes from you, and the baby will be born" Vanilla said as she looked at Sonic. "I-I JUST WANT MY BABY TO BE OKAY!" Sonic cried as he gripped onto Shadow's hand. "Alright, now push!" Vanilla said. Sonic started pushing but screamed in pain as he felt the baby sliding out of him a tiny bit. "Alright, keep pushing!" Vanilla said as the others watched Sonic, hoping he will be okay, along with the baby.
Sonic cried and stopped pushing as he panted fast, the labor pain and the pushing hurting him. "Breathe baby, breathe, regulate your breathing, squeeze my hand if you have to" Shadow said calmly as he felt Sonic grip onto his hand more. "Breathe Sonic, once you catch your breathe, we can resume" Vanilla said as she made sure the baby was okay while Sonic took a few deep breaths to make sure he had the energy to keep going. "That's it, breathe" Shadow said as Sage flew to Sonic's other side, her sapphire eyes meeting his teary gaze. "Listen to me, you will do it! I believe in you, believe in yourself too, we are all here for you Sonic! Now keep going so you can celebrate the birt of your beautiful little baby!" Sage said.
Shadow smiled at Sage while Sonic weakly looked at her with a weak smile. "Couldn't have said it better myself Sage" Shadow said as he rubbed Sonic's head while holding his hand still. "Okay Sonic, here we go again, 1, 2, 3, push!" Vanilla said. Sonic began pushing again as he felt pain again, screaming bloody murder as the pain grew a bit larger. "I can see quills!" Vanilla said. "One question, is it okay to see the birthing process for just a few seconds?" Shadow asked. "Hurry while you still can" Vanilla said. Shadow nodded as he quickly went to where Vanilla was and was in shock. "OH MY CHAOS!" Shadow said, seeing the baby hedgehog's head and quills. "IS THE BABY OKAY?!" Sonic asked as he kept pushing. "YES, THE BABY IS SO SMALL THOUGH!!! A BIT GROSS LOOKING AT THE BLOOD, BUT IT IS NATURAL!!! KEEP GOING SONIC!!!" Shadow said as he went back to Sonic and held his hand once again.
~30 Minutes Later~
"IT HURTS SO MUCH!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!" Sonic yelled as he was in pain still. "I know Sonic, but you have to keep going!" Vanilla said. "I CAN'T!!!" Sonic yelled as he was panting fast and shedding so many tears as the baby was only with it shoulder-length sticking out. "Sonic please! You can't give up! You never give up!" Shadow said. "I-I really can't keep going! I-I don't h-have any strength left!" Sonic said as he panted a lot still while the tears flowed out of his eyes. "Sonic, if you don't keep going, our baby will die! You are the only one who can save our little baby! Please! For us! For the baby! Don't give up when we are so close! Please!!!" Shadow said, begging Sonic not to throw in the towel just yet. Sonic was shocked to hear that his baby might potentially be in grave danger, as he slowly regained his breathing a bit. 'I-I don't want our baby in danger. . . I don't want the b-baby to be hurt. . . I have to t-to do this. . . for the baby. . . just a little m-more Sonic. . . you can do it. . . d-don't think. . . just do. . . it's for us and our future. . .' Sonic thought as he kept on breathing to have the little bit of strength to keep pushing.
"Just one more push Sonic, one big push, and it will be over!" Shadow said. "Sonic, when I say push, give me the biggest push you can give me, if you do that, the baby will come out quicker, I promise, now once more, ready, 1, 2, 3, push!!!" Vanilla said. Sonic gripped Shadow's hand hard as he screamed loudly, pushing with all his might, the baby moving out again but at a quicker rate just as Vanilla said. "The baby is halfway out!" Vanilla said. Sonic screamed extremely loud as he kept pushing, enough for Ouranos Island to possibly hear. But as soon as Sonic stopped pushing and began panting once again, Sonic and Shadow heard a sweet yet adorable little cry, Vanilla seen cradling a baby in her arms. Sonic cried so much, finally seeing the baby he carried for the past 5 months, right in front of him at last.
"I don't believe it, the baby is here, our little baby" Shadow said as he smiled a bit as he sheds a tear of happiness, looking at the baby too. "Now, let's wash you off, you are going to meet your parents" Vanilla said as Orbot takes the baby and places them in a warm little baby tub to wash off the blood, along with Cubot using a washcloth to make sure no blood was left behind. The others clapped and cheered as they were happy Sonic was okay along with the baby, congratulating him on giving birth and not giving up until the baby was out. "W-Where did the baby go?" Sonic asked. "The baby is getting cleaned up, they aren't going anywhere my love" Shadow said as he kisses his head softly before then kissing his nose. "You two are finally parents now, I am so happy for you both, the others would agree" Sage said with a sweet smile.
After the baby was cleaned off, Vanilla dried them off and wrapped them in a soft fluffy blanket, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flying to Sonic and Shadow to greet the new baby together, hearing the baby's cries when they got closer. "Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl—" Vanilla said but Sonic and Shadow were shocked to hear the gender. "B-BABY GIRL?! WE HAVE A GIRL!? PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE SERIOUS!" Sonic said as he tears up happy tears. "I am speaking truthfully, you have a beautiful healthy little baby girl hedgehog, congratulations Sonic" Vanilla said as she slowly gave the small crying baby girl to Sonic.
"Born on June 30th at 4:30PM, size is 5.5 inches, weighs 7 pounds, and is perfectly healthy" Orbot said. "Wow, I wished I was smart, calculations are just random numbers!" Cubot said. "Hello beautiful" Sonic said as he couldn't hold in his happy tears as they flowed out, Aleena's statement from before being right as Sonic forgot all the pain as he held his crying baby girl. "Let's see what she looks like love" Shadow said as Sonic smiled and nodded. As Shadow slowly moved the blanket away from the baby, the both of them couldn't believe their eyes, she was indeed beautiful like Vanilla said. "Oh she is so gorgeous!" Sonic said as he shed even more tears of happiness as the baby cried less as she squirms cutely in the blanket wanting to keep warm.
"She looks just like you" Shadow said as he sheds a few tears. "But she has her daddy's chest fur and stripes" Sonic said as he kissed his baby girl's soft fluffy head. "My little princess" Sonic said softly as Shadow kissed her head as well. "Our little princess" Shadow said as he puts his finger near her, the baby softly holding onto it with all of her little might, Shadow shedding a bunch of tears, fully now accepting that he is a father to his beautiful baby. Suddenly, the baby opened her eyes, Sonic and Shadow gasping as they saw her eyes, in the shade of green, just like Sonic. "She has your gorgeous eyes" Shadow said as he looked at his little one.
"Hi my little baby, it's me, mommy, and the grumpy-looking hedgehog next to me is your daddy" Sonic said. "I will let that slide" Shadow said as the baby looked up at both of her parents, finally seeing them for the first time. "Aren't you so pretty, you are going to be loved so much my little beautiful girl, daddy promises to take good care of his cutie little baby that is looking right at him" Shadow said as he slowly kissed her soft little baby hand, the baby fully stopping her cries as Sonic softly wiped her tears. "Now let's dry that little adorable face, mommy and daddy wanna see the baby" Sonic said as he kissed her soft little chest fur. "Sooooo soooooooofffftttt" Sonic said as he smiled while wiping away his tears. "Let me feel" Shadow said as he softly touches the chest fur, surprised that Sonic was right, smiling as he wiped his own tears away.
"Awwww, she is soft, super soft, like a little cottonball, but cuter" Shadow said. But as they looked at the baby, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flew near the little baby girl, wanting to know who and what she was. "Aww, Sonic Chao, Shadow Chao, meet the baby, she will be your little playmate when you are all together, I promise you both will love her" Sonic said. The baby was a blue hedgehog that had 6 quills, her two lower quills and back quills being pointed downward while her other two middle quills being lifted up, her quills having black strips on 5 of them, the baby having a small little red fluffy bang on her forehead, her arms being peach colored while her chest was also peach colored but her chest fur being white and fluffy as well, and on her right arm was a special symbol, one that Shadow knows, and her eye shape being like Sonic's but more adorable.
"Look at those little cute quills, I can't wait to wash them when you have your first bath with us" Shadow said. "And I can't wait to have her in her nursery, she will love it" Sonic said as he looked at Shadow. Shadow slowly kissed Sonic on the lips as Sonic returned the kiss, enjoying this beautiful moment with their little girl. Shadow broke the kiss seconds later and smiled softly. "Thank you Sonic" Shadow said. "You're welcome Shadow" Sonic said as he lays his head on his chest while holding their little one. As Sonic was relaxing, the others came near him, all of them in shock and aww to see the little baby and how cute she turned out to be. "You did great my son, I am so proud of you, let's see her" Aleena said.
Shadow slowly picked up his baby and held her close, tearing up in his eyes as he faced the baby towards them all, the others seeing how cute the baby was, all of them awing and gasping in happiness. "Oh my goodness! She is so cute! So tiny!" Tails said. "That is the most adorable-looking baby in the world!" Silver said. "Such a little baby, but too adorable to the naked eye" Mephiles said. "Such a little munchkin! I could just eat her little hands and toes!" Fleetway said. "Not bad, you both did well in making a cute baby" Scourge said. "So adorable! I can't believe it, look at her eyes! So shiny and sparkly!" Rookie said. "Heh, this is a cute kid, I like her already" Infinite said. "She shares most of Sonic's features, but a bit of Shadow's features too, talk about really "getting the look" to a new level" Espio said.
"She even got Shadow's fluffy chest fur, that is extremely adorable" Mighty said. "The kidster is quite the cutie, I bet when she gets older, she will still be pretty, looking like Sonic still of course" Vector said. "This baby is the definition of cute" Charmy said "Guess she beat Shadow in looks by a mile" Knuckles said. "I just want to pinch those little cheeks, they look too squishy not to pinch!" Amy said. "I know she will be loved so much by the both of you, take good care of this baby you hear?" Blaze said. "She will be spoiled when she grows up bit by bit, and I am gonna make sure she gets things she wants, she deserves the world" Rouge said. "She is really pretty!" Cream said. "You are right Cream, a very pretty little baby girl" Vanilla said. "S-So tiny and small, she really is l-like a little sweet angel" Whisper said. "Hah, the girl got such a little small nose, so small and smooth" Tangle said.
"To see the baby, is a true wonderful moment, I am glad to be here" Tikal said. "I am an uncle!!! Finally!!!" Manic said. "And I am an aunt!!! YES!!!" Sonia said. "My baby granddaughter is super cute, I will be an amazing grandma with her, I promise! I love her so much already!" Aleena said. "So this is my granddaughter? Small little one, but she will do, she looks a bit like you Shadow" Black Doom said. "Aww, she looks like a little blue fluffball, my cutie little niece, I just wanna cuddle her!~" Eclipse said. "She really resembles both of you, but I know, with you two caring for her, she will be unconditionally loved, I feel it in my body, or, heart so to say" Sage said as she rubs the baby's head, the baby giggling loudly as the others awe loudly in unison. Eggman was seen coming their way, looking pissed off that he couldn't achieve his goal.
The others were on guard as they didn't want Eggman to steal the baby from their grasp, Shadow going into to full protective dad mode on his precious daughter. "I guess Sage is right, what I was doing is beyond the sane point of anyone, so I will. . . let you keep her" Eggman said while mubling. "Speak up doctor" Shadow said lowly. "So I will let you keep her! That is what my grandfather would want for you, if he was alive" Eggman said as he crossed his arms, admitting defeat. "I am still not being your daughter, you almost took away the most precious part of Shadow's life, and Sonic's life too, that is beyond selfish, I will be living with Shadow from now on, I am no longer in your control, and am numb to any viruses you plan to put on me, so, go ahead and leave, because this baby is staying with her parents, while I am here to protect them" Sage said lowly as she stared down darkly at her father.
Eggman growled and walked away. "ORBOT, CUBOT, GET OVER HERE NOW!!!" Eggman yelled. "Coming boss, sorry Sage, but I rather it be us who get tormented, so this is goodbye until we see each other again, sister" Orbot said as he hugs Sage. "See you sis! We love you! More than Dr. E!" Cubot said as he hugs her back. Sage softly smiled and hugged them back, grateful she still has brothers who care for her. "Take care of Metal you two, and make sure father doesn't go out and try to hurt the little baby, I don't want to have to send him back to his new lair if anything" Sage said as she stopped hugging them. "We will meet again Sage, but on our own little "Dr. Eggman emergency errands" as usual" Orbot said.
"I will look forward to spending time with you both, but make sure you stay safe, I don't want to lose you both, or Metal" Sage said as she rubs their metal heads before they floated away fast to Dr. Eggman as he was seen getting into his poorly working Egg Mobile, the two of them hoping inside and Sage watching them fly away along with Metal Sonic following quickly after them, finally free to do what she wants. "Is it okay if I stay with you for a while?" Sage asked. "You can Sage, you have proven yourself trusted again, you may stay as long as you need in our house, and besides, your little dream will come true to seeing the baby, you will get to see her every day if you stay with us" Shadow said.
"Actually, that doesn't sound bad, I love this" Sage said as she looked at the little baby. "Oh, how silly of me, we need to give you a name" Sonic said. "Of course, but one that is fitting for our daughter" Shadow said. "I have the perfect name for our little sweetheart, but I wanna tell you first" Sonic said. "What is it dear?" Shadow asked him. "How about. . . Sasha" Sonic said as he rubbed the baby's chest with his hand softly. "Sasha. . . Sasha the Hedgehog. . . I love it" Shadow said as he kissed Sonic on the lips, the baby squeaking softly from the name. "I think she likes it, Sasha is such a pretty name" Sage said. Sonic broke the kiss and smiled at his adorable baby. "Aww, you get kisses too, my little Sasha" Sonic said as he showers kisses on his baby girl's forehead and cheeks, Shadow doing the same, both of them expressing their great love for her, making her squeak loudly and giggle softly at all this love and affection, both Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flying near the baby to see her still. Everyone there was happy for the new family, seeing their love being so genuine and so sweet for their newborn baby as the Koco hopped near Sonic and wanted a glimpse of the baby they were so curious about, Sonic and Shadow showing their baby to them all once again.
~Later At Night~
Sonic and Shadow were putting the baby to sleep as they were finally back home, safe and sound, Shadow keeping the Chaos Emeralds in his drawer just in case of emergencies. "Sleep sweetie, you need your bedtime" Sonic said as Shadow rocked both of them in the rocking chair while the other two Chao were asleep already in their side crib. Sasha was growing sleepy as she yawned while cuddling in the blanket, Sonic smiling as he kissed her head softly. "Sleep little princess, mommy and daddy promise we will be here in the morning" Shadow said. Suddenly Sage walked in and yawned, floating up to the armrest and sitting there. "Hey Sage, can't sleep?" Sonic asked softly and quietly. "No, not that, just wanted to know how a baby looks when they sleep" Sage said in whispers as she fixed her big pajama shirt that Sonic let her borrow. "She is about to go to dreamland right now, so it won't be long" Shadow said calmly as he kept rocking in the chair.
Seconds later, Sasha closed her eyes, going peacefully to sleep, all of them seeing her angelic-looking face while she snoozed. "Aww, she is such a little cutie patootie angel" Sonic said as Shadow slowly put Sonic on his legs as he made sure he was standing up so he can stand up as well. "Good girl, sleep well little princess, see you tomorrow morning, with kisses and love from me, daddy, and Sage" Sonic said as he carefully puts her in her crib, covering her up with the soft blankets so she can keep warm for the night. Shadow smiles softly as he picks up Sage, walking out of the room. Sonic softly played with her bang before kissing her head one last time before leaving the room with Shadow, closing the door almost all the way.
"Finally, Sasha sound asleep, music to my ears" Shadow said as he looked at Sage who yawned a bit as they got to the bedroom. "Now time to get you to sleep too Sage, you may be an A.I. but you need rest too, you need to recharge" Sonic said as he already prepared an air mattress for her in their room in advance so they can have her with them during the night. "I won't fight it, send me off to the mattress, sleep will get to me the moment I get on the soft sheets, 100% sure" Sage said as she looked tired. "Alright, well, good night Sage, see you in a couple of hours" Shadow said as he puts her on the air mattress and tucks her in, Sage immediately closing her eyes and falling fast asleep.
"And now, time for us to get some shut-eye" Sonic said as he yawned and stretched a bit as he slides off his slippers and crawls into bed. "Yes, bedtime for us" Shadow said as he rubbed the back of his head and gets into the bed, Sonic facing him so they can cuddle. "You know, you are already being a great dad, you're turning out pretty good" Sonic said with a tired smile. "Thank you, and you make an amazing mom, Sasha has taken a liking to you already and she was just born hours ago, I hope that bond still flourishes, you deserve it hun" Shadow said as he puts the blanket on them both. "No, she will flourish with both of us, together, I know it" Sonic said as he kissed his nose. "Heh, I guess you are right, now, sleep time, I am beat" Shadow said as he wraps his arms around his fiance.
"Alright, good night Shadow" Sonic said as he slowly closes his eyes. "Good night Sonic" Shadow said as he rubbed Sonic's head, making sure he was comfortable. Sonic smiled and yawned softly as he slowly yet surely fell asleep, being held by his future husband. Shadow stopped as he looked at Sonic, smiling softly as he plants a kiss on his head. While Shadow looked at him, he thought of all the happy moments they had together, smiling at himself seeing how far he has come. 'This is my life now, and I will cherish it, this is all I dreamed of, thank you Gerald, thank you Maria, thank you Sonic, for making my life have purpose again. . . I appreciate all of you. . . and the love you showed me. . . thank. . . you. . . all. . . for. . . everything. . .' Shadow thought to himself groggily as he slowly fell asleep, the night being full of happiness and calm aura, Sonic and Shadow's life with their new beautiful daughter only just beginning to sprout into something wonderful for all three of the hedgehogs, their love starting to flourish from this day forth, the baby being the piece they needed in their puzzle of life, complete and whole at last.
"NO, SHADOW SHOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING ABOUT YOU A LONG TIME AGO BEFORE WE MET! YOU ARE THE REASON WHY I CAN'T EVEN LOOK AT YOU WITH JOY ANYMORE!!! NOT EVEN THIS BRINGS ME JOY, THIS BRINGS ME GREAT PAIN CALLED HEARTBREAK! SOMETHING YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND FATHER!!!" Sage yelled as she cried and went into Shadow's arms for comfort. "You are safe with us Sage, no longer will you be hurt—" Before Shadow said anymore, Eggman hopped into his Egg Mobile and attached it to the Egg Dragoon, shooting at the Freedom Fighters with his Drill Attack that detached from the massive robot.
Sage saw this and floated to it, using her control to stop the drill and return it to Eggman. "THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" Eggman said as he quickly moved his Egg Dragoon to avoid the drill as he flew out of the ancient structure with the final Chaos Emerald and Sonic along with him, Sonic banging on the glass in pain and agony as the glass sphere fused to the back of the Egg Dragoon. "HEY!!! YOU AREN'T ESCAPING AGAIN!!!" Shadow said as he was about to throw a Chaos Spear but Sage stopped him. "NO, IF YOU HIT HIM, SONIC WILL GET HURT IF THEY FALL!!! I AM 95% SURE OF THIS!!!" Sage said to Shadow. Shadow growled more and canceled his attack, not wanting Sonic and the baby to be injured by accident.
"SONIC IS BASICALLY MY SHIELD, ATTACK IF YOU WANT, BUT YOU ARE PUTTING SONIC AND MY LITTLE WINNING TICKET INSIDE OF HIM IN DANGER!" Eggman said while laughing loudly. "BUT WE CAN STILL ATTACK AROUND YOU!!!" Tails yelled. The others looked at him and realized he was onto something. "IF WE CAN HIT VITAL POINTS ON THE EGG DRAGOON, WE CAN AVOID HURTING SONIC ALTOGETHER!!!" Tails said as the others nodded and understood what he was saying. "No wonder why Sonic likes you so much fox, thanks for finding a flaw in his robot!" Shadow said as he looked and saw some vital points on the Egg Dragoon, 2 being the stomach and lower abdomen, and the Egg Mobile's Cockpit.
"AIM FOR THE TWO VISIBLE WEAK POINTS, I WILL HIT THE COCKPIT!" Shadow said as he looked and skated near some grinding rails, ready for the others to take the initiative to attack the two weak points he said. Sage followed Shadow, wanting to help him and redeem herself. "I am coming with you, you will need all the help you can get cousin, leave catching you to me if anything!" Sage said as she floated near him. "Thanks Sage, now let's crash the doctor's escape getaway party!" Shadow said as he jumped onto the rails. "GO!!! HIT HIM WITH EVERYTHING WE GOT, WEAK POINTS ONLY!!!" Tails said as he flew up with Cream. "We will stop this! Together!" Cream said as she flew with Tails.
"HALF OF YOU, HIT THE STOMACH, THE OTHER HALF, HIT THE LOWER ABDOMEN!!!" Amy said as she saw Rouge flying to Eggman's robot, using a Screw Kick to kick the lower abdomen. "Take that Eggman, this is going to end quicker if we stay united! Give up now!" Rouge said as she flies to pick up a special bomb of her and attaches it to the robot's chest plate, the bomb ticking for the detonation will go off in the next 5 minutes, quickly flying around Dr. Eggman as he tries to shoot her down with his Fire Blasts, allowing the Freedom Fighters to fight together and deal some damage to Eggman's robot. "Face the fury of my PikoPiko Hammer!" Amy yelled as she had Knuckles launch her, the echidna following after her as Amy hits the robot's stomach while Knuckles punched the sides of the robot. "Take that Egghead!" Knuckles said as he grabbed Amy and glided her back to safety.
"IF WE GET THE CHAOS EMERALD, WE WILL WIN THIS, I KNOW IT!!!" Tails said as he flew to Eggman and avoids his Fire Blasts with Cream. "You will fall Eggman, it's your calling to give up!" Silver yelled as he floated to the stomach and used a Psychic Knife on it along with Mephiles hurling a big rock at the abdomen, both of them dealing damage to the robot's body. Eggman growled loudly as he then uses his drill attack to try and skewer the Freedom Fighters into submission so they wouldn't fight back but Fleetway sees this and jumps up along with Eclipse, slashing off the arm that deals the drill attacks, Shadow almost near him as he jumps off the grinding rails and grabs onto Rouge. "Need a lift Shadow?" Rouge asked. "Don't I ever in this time of need!" Shadow said as he felt Rouge fly him up high as he shoots Chaos Spears at the cockpit, avoiding shooting at the glass sphere with his pregnant lover was.
Scourge growled and uses his Spin Dash to hit the robot's open spots while Manic banged his drum to fling rocks at Scourge so he can dash into them to shoot at the robot's front. "Get wrecked!" Scourge said. "No one messes with this brother, he will, and he meaning I, WILL KICK YOUR ASS!!!" Manic said as he kept banging his drum. Rookie smiled at Whisper before the both of them aimed for the stomach and lower abdomen, shooting at them with their Wispons' enhanced powers, making sure damage was being dealt in the process while Infinite made an illusional scenario for Eggman to be tricked by so they can land more hits to the Egg Dragoon. "This is for our ally!" Rookie said. "A-And this is for the little baby!" Whisper yelled, not whispering at that moment, everyone hearing her voice loud and clear. "Drown in my illusions Eggman!" Infinite said as he still let the illusion take hold of Dr. Eggman's intelligence between reality and the facade he was creating.
"Throw me Mighty!" Espio said as he holds out his arms while taking out two kunais. "You got it!" Mighty said as he grabs him and hurls him at the lower abdomen, Espio slashing the glass, causing further damage. "AIM FOR THE STOMACH TOO!!!" Vector said as he lifts up rocks for Mighty to hurl with him, Mighty and Vector both aiming for much higher areas on the Egg Dragoon, his Fire Blasting gun to be more precise. Espio listened to Vector as he crawled up and stabbed the glass with his kunais, both weak spots being very damaged. Charmy flew up and started to taunt Eggman as he flew around him, making sure he was still preoccupied with those who flew around him in the air. "Can't catch me Egghead!" Charmy said playfully, irritating Eggman as due to the Phantom Ruby's illusions, he was missing his targets with his Fire Blasts that were getting less power due to the rocks being thrown on his blaster.
"Time to ignite the flames! Burn!" Blaze said as she throws her flame at the robot's broken stomach and melts the metal off, with only half of the Egg Dragoon's body remaining left. "I have been waiting a long time for this!" Tangle said as she used her tail to grab the molten cooled metal and use it to clobber the Fire Blaster clean off of the robot's body. "Take a little STAB at your Mechanical Chest!" Sonia said as she plays her keytar keys to help Tikal traverse upward so she can attack Eggman head-on. "For peace to prevail, we will stop you for good!" Tikal said she throws her spear at the Egg Dragoon's cockpit, helping Shadow's Chaos Spears break the glass on his Egg Mobile with her spear's sharp tip helping to crack the glass upon the impact.
"Hurt my son and grandchild, you will suffer my wrath!" Aleena said as she jump and feels Tails and Cream help her up to him as they then let her go once she was at the cockpit level. Aleena screamed as she used her leg to crack the glass more, Eggman screaming due to his glass about to shatter for the Freedom Fighters to get that window of success they need. "YOU ARE RUINING EVERYTHING!!!" Eggman yelled. Sonic was hoping this would be over soon as he was shaken up a bit but it was gentle shakes he felt from the Egg Dragoon gaining too much damage, himself being safe as Tails predicted. "Give up human, this is not worth fighting for, I would now, my son reminds me of that every time I am with him" Black Doom said as he floated fast near the glass and shatters it with his clenched three-fingered hand, the Chaos Emerald being within reach.
"SHADOW NOW!!!" Sage said as she pointed at their moment to win. Shadow let go of Rouge as he quickly dove down into the Egg Mobile and steals the White Chaos Emerald, flipping out of the cockpit and onto the ground, the other six Chaos Emeralds slowly floating around him as the others backed up to give Shadow room as all seven Emeralds circled around him. Eggman nervously laughed as he was about to fly away with Sonic but noticed his robot was in critical condition. "The servers are the seven Chaos, Chaos is power, enriched by the heart, the heart is the controller, the controller serves to unify the chaos! THIS IS WILL BE YOUR END!!!" Shadow said as he floated up as the Emeralds floated around him faster, the 7 of them going into Shadow as he immediately turned into his Super State, the one thing that is strong against Eggman.
Eggman was about to flee in his Egg Mobile but Shadow without hesitation, flew to the Egg Dragoon and started to land powerful attacks on it, crushing the metal like a soda can, the robot collapsing from each punch and kick he dealt to the front, avoiding any way to not hurt Sonic and his baby in the process. "IT IS ABOUT TO BLOW!!!" Eggman yelled as Shadow purposefully kicked Eggman's Egg Mobile upward as Eggman screamed, Shadow then going to the beat-up robot to remove the sphere Sonic was held in before the robot blows up due to Rouge's bomb about to set off in 15 seconds. Shadow quickly pushed himself up on the sphere, removing it along with Sonic so he is now out of harm's way. "Hang on sweetie!" Shadow said as he hastily floated up as the Egg Dragoon exploded.
The others cheered as Eggman lost, once again, proving that their sheer numbers were enough to stop him. Shadow screamed as he then punched the glass, his powerful punch breaking the indestructible glass sphere to pieces, Shadow immediately catching Sonic bridal style, holding him close. Sonic cried loudly as he was in Shadow's arms again, grateful he was saved. "You saved me! Thank you! I knew you would save us!" Sonic said as he cried loudly still. "Shhhhh, I am here, I would never leave someone who brought me happiness, you are too precious to me, and our baby too, is she okay?" Shadow said. "Yes, she is okay, and I bet grateful too for saving us" Sonic said as he kissed Shadow on the lips while Shadow kissed back, floating down slowly to the group.
"SONIC!!!" the Freedom Fighters rejoiced as they have their comrade and trusted ally back. Sage smiled but saw Eggman falling, making sure she caught him before he hit the ground. "Father, it is over, this ends, now" Sage said, being firm and serious. "YOU ARE A DISGRACE!" Eggman yelled. "And here I thought you would thank me for saving you, see, you don't care about happiness, not even Orbot, Cubot, or Metal know what happiness is! From now on, it is my time to know what is right for me, I am not following your commands anymore, I am done being your little "daughter", I rather be appreciated than used! Do you think that sounds fair for me!? FOR ME! But no, you only care and loathe about Sonic more than me. . . WHY DO YOU HATE HIM MORE THAN YOU "LOVE" ME?!" Sage yelled as she sheds tears. Eggman growled and got up as he looked at the hedgehogs.
"You don't really care about what I want to do! Never! It is always about you! Not even once about me! So go ahead, do your worst, but not at them, do it at me, I dare you!" Sage yelled as she floated to the others. Shadow held Sonic close as he put him on his feet. "I feel so overjoyed you all saved me. . . I am so happy. . ." Sonic was about to finish but screamed in sheer indescribable pain as he holds his stomach, the others panicking as they saw blood leaking from his lower region as he sheds a lot of tears from the pain. "THE BABY!!! THE BABY IS COMING!!!" Sonic yelled as the others started to panic more. Shadow mostly was the one to panic, since he didn't know how to help his fiance out. "WE NEED TO GET VANILLA!!!" Aleena said. "WATCH HIM PLEASE! DON'T LET EGGMAN NEAR HIM SAGE!" Shadow said as he floated up in determination to get Vanilla, and fast. "You can count on me!" Sage said as she kept a keen eye on her ex-father. "CHAOS CONTROL!!!" Shadow yelled as he disappeared, the others laying Sonic down so he can have support, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao concerned for Sonic, hoping he will be alright.
~15 Minutes Later~
Shadow came back with Vanilla and the four Chao as he canceled his Super State and skated near Sonic who was crying so much in pain from him dilating. Sage still kept and eye on her ex-father, who was stomping in defeat, acting like a big baby. "I wished I wasn't created by someone so selfish, but if I didn't, this situation would have been much worse!" Sage said as she floated near Sonic. "IT HURTS!!!" Sonic screamed in pain. "I am here Sonic! I am here!" Shadow said as he kneels near him and hugs him. "Sonic, how do you think I felt when birthing the three of you? Now you can understand what I meant by "no more siblings" now, but baby, you will get through this, once that baby is out, you will forget the pain and focus on your beautiful little miracle, I know I did" Aleena said. "Mom stop talking sappy at me! I am literally in labor! PAINFUL HORRIBLE LABOR!" Sonic yelled as he screamed again as Vanilla puts some towels under Sonic and a blanket over his lower stomach, Sonic's tears falling out fast.
"Sonic, breathe babe" Shadow said calmly as he rubbed his belly. Sonic listened as he slowly started to breathe in and out, trying to ignore the pain, but as soon as he was almost about to regulate his breathing, the pain came back harder, making him cry extremely loud. Some of the Koco were concerned for their blue hero, wanting to know if he was going to be okay. "He will be fine little ones, I assure you" Vanilla said calmly to the Koco groups as she puts on her long latex gloves. "THIS IS WORSE THAN CHILI DOG WEEK LAST YEAR!!! SO MUCH WORSE!!! I CAN'T TAKE THIS PAIN!!!" Sonic yelled as he screamed loudly again, the contractions being too unbearable for him to handle.
Vanilla looked down at his pussy as she slowly spreads it to see how much he dilated, but when she did, she screamed a bit in surprise. "WHAT WHAT?! WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?!" Sonic yelled. "You are giving birth this very moment, I can see a little head at your opening!" Vanilla said as the others were in shock. "Orbot, Cubot, help Vanilla out! Please!" Sage begged her brothers. "On it!" Orbot said. "I will be splendiferously helpful, whatever that means!" Cubot said as he and Orbot floated to Vanilla, ready to help her out. "I'M SCARED!!! I CAN'T DO THIS!!!" Sonic yelled as he cried and covered his eyes with his arm. But suddenly, he felt a hand softly grip onto him, making him look. "We are in this together Sonic, I will be here, every step of the way, cheering and carrying you on until this baby comes out, I promise, I will help you" Shadow said as he kissed his head while taking a cloth and rubbing the sweat off of his head.
"P-Promise?" Sonic asked. "I promise my love, now, let's help this baby into the world" Shadow said as he holds his hand still. "Alright Sonic, when I say push, you are going to push as hard as you can, the baby is in the right position to come out, all I need is pushes from you, and the baby will be born" Vanilla said as she looked at Sonic. "I-I JUST WANT MY BABY TO BE OKAY!" Sonic cried as he gripped onto Shadow's hand. "Alright, now push!" Vanilla said. Sonic started pushing but screamed in pain as he felt the baby sliding out of him a tiny bit. "Alright, keep pushing!" Vanilla said as the others watched Sonic, hoping he will be okay, along with the baby.
Sonic cried and stopped pushing as he panted fast, the labor pain and the pushing hurting him. "Breathe baby, breathe, regulate your breathing, squeeze my hand if you have to" Shadow said calmly as he felt Sonic grip onto his hand more. "Breathe Sonic, once you catch your breathe, we can resume" Vanilla said as she made sure the baby was okay while Sonic took a few deep breaths to make sure he had the energy to keep going. "That's it, breathe" Shadow said as Sage flew to Sonic's other side, her sapphire eyes meeting his teary gaze. "Listen to me, you will do it! I believe in you, believe in yourself too, we are all here for you Sonic! Now keep going so you can celebrate the birt of your beautiful little baby!" Sage said.
Shadow smiled at Sage while Sonic weakly looked at her with a weak smile. "Couldn't have said it better myself Sage" Shadow said as he rubbed Sonic's head while holding his hand still. "Okay Sonic, here we go again, 1, 2, 3, push!" Vanilla said. Sonic began pushing again as he felt pain again, screaming bloody murder as the pain grew a bit larger. "I can see quills!" Vanilla said. "One question, is it okay to see the birthing process for just a few seconds?" Shadow asked. "Hurry while you still can" Vanilla said. Shadow nodded as he quickly went to where Vanilla was and was in shock. "OH MY CHAOS!" Shadow said, seeing the baby hedgehog's head and quills. "IS THE BABY OKAY?!" Sonic asked as he kept pushing. "YES, THE BABY IS SO SMALL THOUGH!!! A BIT GROSS LOOKING AT THE BLOOD, BUT IT IS NATURAL!!! KEEP GOING SONIC!!!" Shadow said as he went back to Sonic and held his hand once again.
~30 Minutes Later~
"IT HURTS SO MUCH!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!" Sonic yelled as he was in pain still. "I know Sonic, but you have to keep going!" Vanilla said. "I CAN'T!!!" Sonic yelled as he was panting fast and shedding so many tears as the baby was only with it shoulder-length sticking out. "Sonic please! You can't give up! You never give up!" Shadow said. "I-I really can't keep going! I-I don't h-have any strength left!" Sonic said as he panted a lot still while the tears flowed out of his eyes. "Sonic, if you don't keep going, our baby will die! You are the only one who can save our little baby! Please! For us! For the baby! Don't give up when we are so close! Please!!!" Shadow said, begging Sonic not to throw in the towel just yet. Sonic was shocked to hear that his baby might potentially be in grave danger, as he slowly regained his breathing a bit. 'I-I don't want our baby in danger. . . I don't want the b-baby to be hurt. . . I have to t-to do this. . . for the baby. . . just a little m-more Sonic. . . you can do it. . . d-don't think. . . just do. . . it's for us and our future. . .' Sonic thought as he kept on breathing to have the little bit of strength to keep pushing.
"Just one more push Sonic, one big push, and it will be over!" Shadow said. "Sonic, when I say push, give me the biggest push you can give me, if you do that, the baby will come out quicker, I promise, now once more, ready, 1, 2, 3, push!!!" Vanilla said. Sonic gripped Shadow's hand hard as he screamed loudly, pushing with all his might, the baby moving out again but at a quicker rate just as Vanilla said. "The baby is halfway out!" Vanilla said. Sonic screamed extremely loud as he kept pushing, enough for Ouranos Island to possibly hear. But as soon as Sonic stopped pushing and began panting once again, Sonic and Shadow heard a sweet yet adorable little cry, Vanilla seen cradling a baby in her arms. Sonic cried so much, finally seeing the baby he carried for the past 5 months, right in front of him at last.
"I don't believe it, the baby is here, our little baby" Shadow said as he smiled a bit as he sheds a tear of happiness, looking at the baby too. "Now, let's wash you off, you are going to meet your parents" Vanilla said as Orbot takes the baby and places them in a warm little baby tub to wash off the blood, along with Cubot using a washcloth to make sure no blood was left behind. The others clapped and cheered as they were happy Sonic was okay along with the baby, congratulating him on giving birth and not giving up until the baby was out. "W-Where did the baby go?" Sonic asked. "The baby is getting cleaned up, they aren't going anywhere my love" Shadow said as he kisses his head softly before then kissing his nose. "You two are finally parents now, I am so happy for you both, the others would agree" Sage said with a sweet smile.
After the baby was cleaned off, Vanilla dried them off and wrapped them in a soft fluffy blanket, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flying to Sonic and Shadow to greet the new baby together, hearing the baby's cries when they got closer. "Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl—" Vanilla said but Sonic and Shadow were shocked to hear the gender. "B-BABY GIRL?! WE HAVE A GIRL!? PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE SERIOUS!" Sonic said as he tears up happy tears. "I am speaking truthfully, you have a beautiful healthy little baby girl hedgehog, congratulations Sonic" Vanilla said as she slowly gave the small crying baby girl to Sonic.
"Born on June 30th at 4:30PM, size is 5.5 inches, weighs 7 pounds, and is perfectly healthy" Orbot said. "Wow, I wished I was smart, calculations are just random numbers!" Cubot said. "Hello beautiful" Sonic said as he couldn't hold in his happy tears as they flowed out, Aleena's statement from before being right as Sonic forgot all the pain as he held his crying baby girl. "Let's see what she looks like love" Shadow said as Sonic smiled and nodded. As Shadow slowly moved the blanket away from the baby, the both of them couldn't believe their eyes, she was indeed beautiful like Vanilla said. "Oh she is so gorgeous!" Sonic said as he shed even more tears of happiness as the baby cried less as she squirms cutely in the blanket wanting to keep warm.
"She looks just like you" Shadow said as he sheds a few tears. "But she has her daddy's chest fur and stripes" Sonic said as he kissed his baby girl's soft fluffy head. "My little princess" Sonic said softly as Shadow kissed her head as well. "Our little princess" Shadow said as he puts his finger near her, the baby softly holding onto it with all of her little might, Shadow shedding a bunch of tears, fully now accepting that he is a father to his beautiful baby. Suddenly, the baby opened her eyes, Sonic and Shadow gasping as they saw her eyes, in the shade of green, just like Sonic. "She has your gorgeous eyes" Shadow said as he looked at his little one.
"Hi my little baby, it's me, mommy, and the grumpy-looking hedgehog next to me is your daddy" Sonic said. "I will let that slide" Shadow said as the baby looked up at both of her parents, finally seeing them for the first time. "Aren't you so pretty, you are going to be loved so much my little beautiful girl, daddy promises to take good care of his cutie little baby that is looking right at him" Shadow said as he slowly kissed her soft little baby hand, the baby fully stopping her cries as Sonic softly wiped her tears. "Now let's dry that little adorable face, mommy and daddy wanna see the baby" Sonic said as he kissed her soft little chest fur. "Sooooo soooooooofffftttt" Sonic said as he smiled while wiping away his tears. "Let me feel" Shadow said as he softly touches the chest fur, surprised that Sonic was right, smiling as he wiped his own tears away.
"Awwww, she is soft, super soft, like a little cottonball, but cuter" Shadow said. But as they looked at the baby, Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flew near the little baby girl, wanting to know who and what she was. "Aww, Sonic Chao, Shadow Chao, meet the baby, she will be your little playmate when you are all together, I promise you both will love her" Sonic said. The baby was a blue hedgehog that had 6 quills, her two lower quills and back quills being pointed downward while her other two middle quills being lifted up, her quills having black strips on 5 of them, the baby having a small little red fluffy bang on her forehead, her arms being peach colored while her chest was also peach colored but her chest fur being white and fluffy as well, and on her right arm was a special symbol, one that Shadow knows, and her eye shape being like Sonic's but more adorable.
"Look at those little cute quills, I can't wait to wash them when you have your first bath with us" Shadow said. "And I can't wait to have her in her nursery, she will love it" Sonic said as he looked at Shadow. Shadow slowly kissed Sonic on the lips as Sonic returned the kiss, enjoying this beautiful moment with their little girl. Shadow broke the kiss seconds later and smiled softly. "Thank you Sonic" Shadow said. "You're welcome Shadow" Sonic said as he lays his head on his chest while holding their little one. As Sonic was relaxing, the others came near him, all of them in shock and aww to see the little baby and how cute she turned out to be. "You did great my son, I am so proud of you, let's see her" Aleena said.
Shadow slowly picked up his baby and held her close, tearing up in his eyes as he faced the baby towards them all, the others seeing how cute the baby was, all of them awing and gasping in happiness. "Oh my goodness! She is so cute! So tiny!" Tails said. "That is the most adorable-looking baby in the world!" Silver said. "Such a little baby, but too adorable to the naked eye" Mephiles said. "Such a little munchkin! I could just eat her little hands and toes!" Fleetway said. "Not bad, you both did well in making a cute baby" Scourge said. "So adorable! I can't believe it, look at her eyes! So shiny and sparkly!" Rookie said. "Heh, this is a cute kid, I like her already" Infinite said. "She shares most of Sonic's features, but a bit of Shadow's features too, talk about really "getting the look" to a new level" Espio said.
"She even got Shadow's fluffy chest fur, that is extremely adorable" Mighty said. "The kidster is quite the cutie, I bet when she gets older, she will still be pretty, looking like Sonic still of course" Vector said. "This baby is the definition of cute" Charmy said "Guess she beat Shadow in looks by a mile" Knuckles said. "I just want to pinch those little cheeks, they look too squishy not to pinch!" Amy said. "I know she will be loved so much by the both of you, take good care of this baby you hear?" Blaze said. "She will be spoiled when she grows up bit by bit, and I am gonna make sure she gets things she wants, she deserves the world" Rouge said. "She is really pretty!" Cream said. "You are right Cream, a very pretty little baby girl" Vanilla said. "S-So tiny and small, she really is l-like a little sweet angel" Whisper said. "Hah, the girl got such a little small nose, so small and smooth" Tangle said.
"To see the baby, is a true wonderful moment, I am glad to be here" Tikal said. "I am an uncle!!! Finally!!!" Manic said. "And I am an aunt!!! YES!!!" Sonia said. "My baby granddaughter is super cute, I will be an amazing grandma with her, I promise! I love her so much already!" Aleena said. "So this is my granddaughter? Small little one, but she will do, she looks a bit like you Shadow" Black Doom said. "Aww, she looks like a little blue fluffball, my cutie little niece, I just wanna cuddle her!~" Eclipse said. "She really resembles both of you, but I know, with you two caring for her, she will be unconditionally loved, I feel it in my body, or, heart so to say" Sage said as she rubs the baby's head, the baby giggling loudly as the others awe loudly in unison. Eggman was seen coming their way, looking pissed off that he couldn't achieve his goal.
The others were on guard as they didn't want Eggman to steal the baby from their grasp, Shadow going into to full protective dad mode on his precious daughter. "I guess Sage is right, what I was doing is beyond the sane point of anyone, so I will. . . let you keep her" Eggman said while mubling. "Speak up doctor" Shadow said lowly. "So I will let you keep her! That is what my grandfather would want for you, if he was alive" Eggman said as he crossed his arms, admitting defeat. "I am still not being your daughter, you almost took away the most precious part of Shadow's life, and Sonic's life too, that is beyond selfish, I will be living with Shadow from now on, I am no longer in your control, and am numb to any viruses you plan to put on me, so, go ahead and leave, because this baby is staying with her parents, while I am here to protect them" Sage said lowly as she stared down darkly at her father.
Eggman growled and walked away. "ORBOT, CUBOT, GET OVER HERE NOW!!!" Eggman yelled. "Coming boss, sorry Sage, but I rather it be us who get tormented, so this is goodbye until we see each other again, sister" Orbot said as he hugs Sage. "See you sis! We love you! More than Dr. E!" Cubot said as he hugs her back. Sage softly smiled and hugged them back, grateful she still has brothers who care for her. "Take care of Metal you two, and make sure father doesn't go out and try to hurt the little baby, I don't want to have to send him back to his new lair if anything" Sage said as she stopped hugging them. "We will meet again Sage, but on our own little "Dr. Eggman emergency errands" as usual" Orbot said.
"I will look forward to spending time with you both, but make sure you stay safe, I don't want to lose you both, or Metal" Sage said as she rubs their metal heads before they floated away fast to Dr. Eggman as he was seen getting into his poorly working Egg Mobile, the two of them hoping inside and Sage watching them fly away along with Metal Sonic following quickly after them, finally free to do what she wants. "Is it okay if I stay with you for a while?" Sage asked. "You can Sage, you have proven yourself trusted again, you may stay as long as you need in our house, and besides, your little dream will come true to seeing the baby, you will get to see her every day if you stay with us" Shadow said.
"Actually, that doesn't sound bad, I love this" Sage said as she looked at the little baby. "Oh, how silly of me, we need to give you a name" Sonic said. "Of course, but one that is fitting for our daughter" Shadow said. "I have the perfect name for our little sweetheart, but I wanna tell you first" Sonic said. "What is it dear?" Shadow asked him. "How about. . . Sasha" Sonic said as he rubbed the baby's chest with his hand softly. "Sasha. . . Sasha the Hedgehog. . . I love it" Shadow said as he kissed Sonic on the lips, the baby squeaking softly from the name. "I think she likes it, Sasha is such a pretty name" Sage said. Sonic broke the kiss and smiled at his adorable baby. "Aww, you get kisses too, my little Sasha" Sonic said as he showers kisses on his baby girl's forehead and cheeks, Shadow doing the same, both of them expressing their great love for her, making her squeak loudly and giggle softly at all this love and affection, both Sonic Chao and Shadow Chao flying near the baby to see her still. Everyone there was happy for the new family, seeing their love being so genuine and so sweet for their newborn baby as the Koco hopped near Sonic and wanted a glimpse of the baby they were so curious about, Sonic and Shadow showing their baby to them all once again.
~Later At Night~
Sonic and Shadow were putting the baby to sleep as they were finally back home, safe and sound, Shadow keeping the Chaos Emeralds in his drawer just in case of emergencies. "Sleep sweetie, you need your bedtime" Sonic said as Shadow rocked both of them in the rocking chair while the other two Chao were asleep already in their side crib. Sasha was growing sleepy as she yawned while cuddling in the blanket, Sonic smiling as he kissed her head softly. "Sleep little princess, mommy and daddy promise we will be here in the morning" Shadow said. Suddenly Sage walked in and yawned, floating up to the armrest and sitting there. "Hey Sage, can't sleep?" Sonic asked softly and quietly. "No, not that, just wanted to know how a baby looks when they sleep" Sage said in whispers as she fixed her big pajama shirt that Sonic let her borrow. "She is about to go to dreamland right now, so it won't be long" Shadow said calmly as he kept rocking in the chair.
Seconds later, Sasha closed her eyes, going peacefully to sleep, all of them seeing her angelic-looking face while she snoozed. "Aww, she is such a little cutie patootie angel" Sonic said as Shadow slowly put Sonic on his legs as he made sure he was standing up so he can stand up as well. "Good girl, sleep well little princess, see you tomorrow morning, with kisses and love from me, daddy, and Sage" Sonic said as he carefully puts her in her crib, covering her up with the soft blankets so she can keep warm for the night. Shadow smiles softly as he picks up Sage, walking out of the room. Sonic softly played with her bang before kissing her head one last time before leaving the room with Shadow, closing the door almost all the way.
"Finally, Sasha sound asleep, music to my ears" Shadow said as he looked at Sage who yawned a bit as they got to the bedroom. "Now time to get you to sleep too Sage, you may be an A.I. but you need rest too, you need to recharge" Sonic said as he already prepared an air mattress for her in their room in advance so they can have her with them during the night. "I won't fight it, send me off to the mattress, sleep will get to me the moment I get on the soft sheets, 100% sure" Sage said as she looked tired. "Alright, well, good night Sage, see you in a couple of hours" Shadow said as he puts her on the air mattress and tucks her in, Sage immediately closing her eyes and falling fast asleep.
"And now, time for us to get some shut-eye" Sonic said as he yawned and stretched a bit as he slides off his slippers and crawls into bed. "Yes, bedtime for us" Shadow said as he rubbed the back of his head and gets into the bed, Sonic facing him so they can cuddle. "You know, you are already being a great dad, you're turning out pretty good" Sonic said with a tired smile. "Thank you, and you make an amazing mom, Sasha has taken a liking to you already and she was just born hours ago, I hope that bond still flourishes, you deserve it hun" Shadow said as he puts the blanket on them both. "No, she will flourish with both of us, together, I know it" Sonic said as he kissed his nose. "Heh, I guess you are right, now, sleep time, I am beat" Shadow said as he wraps his arms around his fiance.
"Alright, good night Shadow" Sonic said as he slowly closes his eyes. "Good night Sonic" Shadow said as he rubbed Sonic's head, making sure he was comfortable. Sonic smiled and yawned softly as he slowly yet surely fell asleep, being held by his future husband. Shadow stopped as he looked at Sonic, smiling softly as he plants a kiss on his head. While Shadow looked at him, he thought of all the happy moments they had together, smiling at himself seeing how far he has come. 'This is my life now, and I will cherish it, this is all I dreamed of, thank you Gerald, thank you Maria, thank you Sonic, for making my life have purpose again. . . I appreciate all of you. . . and the love you showed me. . . thank. . . you. . . all. . . for. . . everything. . .' Shadow thought to himself groggily as he slowly fell asleep, the night being full of happiness and calm aura, Sonic and Shadow's life with their new beautiful daughter only just beginning to sprout into something wonderful for all three of the hedgehogs, their love starting to flourish from this day forth, the baby being the piece they needed in their puzzle of life, complete and whole at last.
