Maeve and Laura walked out of the library doors, finishing a before class revision session whilst Derek was at basketball practice.
Maeve smiled as Derek wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind, turning to look up at him, "How was practice?"
"Boring." Derek mumbled, leaning down to kiss her before moving to walk at her side.
Laura groaned, scrunching up her nose at the sight of the couple, sarcastically waving as she walked away "Ew, goodbye!"
Maeve laughed at her friend whilst Derek rolled his eyes, making their way over to their lockers.
Maeve barley noticed as she bumped into Milo, muttering an apology, continuing to flick through her notes from the class. Derek on the other hand, glared at Milo until the basketball player was out of sight.
Maeve looked up from her book, noticing Derek's glare, turning to look down the crowded hallways, she laughed noticing who he was glaring at.
"So I was thinking," Derek leant against the lockers as Maeve unlocked her own, rushing to catch a pile of books coming tumbling out.
Maeve stacked the books back on the shelf, gazing over to Derek playfully "Thats a first."
Maeve grinned as Derek's glare aimed at her, "Maybe we should spend the whole summer in San Fransisco."
"I haven't even been accepted yet, D. Neither as Archie," Maeve reminded him with a sigh.
Maeve and Archie had applied to Stanford week ago, still not hearing back made them nervous but for once Derek was the one full of confidence.
"You two are gonna pass, you're like walking criminal law books." Derek argued, tossing his backpack to the ground, pulling on his denim jacket "So I figured we could check it out over spring break before the summer."
Maeve applied her berry shaded lipstick in the small mirror hanging on the door, "Mhm, your moms agreeing to that?"
"She didn't until I said Archie was going." Derek replied with a grin, Maeve laughed shaking her head.
"The perks of a sensible friend." Maeve muttered, tossing her lipstick back into her bag, Derek's sudden interest in her makeup bag going unnoticed.
Picking up a small clear bottle with a frown, Derek unscrewed the lid, only to cough loudly, passing the bottle quickly back to Maeve as he groaned "What the hell is that?"
Maeve rolled her eyes as she took the bottle back, Derek now resorting to walking over to the open window, taking in the fresh air, "Nail polish remover."
"I thought it was perfume?" Derek exclaimed, Maeve shook her head disapprovingly, picking up hers and Derek's bags, making her way over to him.
"No perfume would smell like that," Maeve laughed passing Derek his backpack, holding his hand as they walked down the hallway"Come on."
Derek stared at the folder in her handbag hanging above her hip, leaning over her shoulder to look at it "Is that the homework?"
"Please tell me you did it." Maeve rolled her eyes already knowing the answer, shoving the folder further into her bag.
"I watched you do yours." Derek grinned sheepishly, Maeve sighed, pushing open the doors to the car park "Your mom loves me, I'll be fine."
Maeve chuckled knowingly, "Don't speak so soon."
Derek jumped as Maeve squealed embarrassingly, holding onto his ears as she went bounding down the path, holding her arms In the air as she cheered "There he is!"
Derek first spotted Archie, smiling slightly at the sight of Jamie's dramatic exit from the vehicle.
Archie helped Jamie stand as he climbed out of the car, the injured boy cheering with his friend "I'm back!"
"Careful-" Maeve began as Jamie wrapped his arms around her, laughing as he spun her around, "Nevermind."
The Kate incident had thankfully passed in their minds, with Jamie as happy as ever, Maeve's guilt began to fade, her paranoia on the other hand did not.
Derek glared as Jamie turned to him, holding out his hands for a hug "Derek, buddy!"
Derek turned around, shaking his head "Not gonna happen."
"Oh my god." Jamie stood in the doorway of the English classroom with wide eyes, "Am I still hallucinating on my meds?"
Pushing Jamie into the room, Maeve smiled at her mother, Elizabeth finishing writing on the chalk board, nodding at Jamie, "James, come sit down."
Maeve rolled her eyes, taking a few steps back to pull Jamie with her, "Thats your mom!"
"Yes, Jamie, it is." Maeve muttered, sarcastically setting him down on a chair before sliding down on one next to Laura.
"Hey." Maeve greeted Derek's sister with a smile, Laura smiled back gratefully as Maeve passed her a spare lesson plan.
Derek watched Maeve sit down with a scowl, Laura noticed her brothers annoyance, sarcastically motioning to the chair a few feet away from them"You practically live with each other, you can survive an hour a meter apart."
Archie and Jamie playfully patted Derek's shoulder as he sat down next to them with a huff, Maeve looked over her shoulder, grinning as she held her hand out for him. "Stay strong."
Her hand still holding Derek's, Maeve turned to the front of the room, listening to her mother "Now you've all stopped pottering around like toddlers, let's start, shall we?"
Maeve had been approved for her internship at the police station a few weeks ago, and since then, she'd been working her ass off to try and get in with the real police work.
Maeve pushed the door to the sheriff's office open with her hip, her hands full with now organised files "Coffee? She-"
Maeve smiled noticing the nine year old, walking around to sit at the sheriff's desk to put the files back "Oh, hi. Stiles right?"
Stiles sat in his usual seat in the office, a beanie pulled over his buzzed hair and a Nintendo ds in his lap.
"Whats that?" Stiles questioned suspiciously, leaning over the desk to try and see.
"Just some paperwork," Maeve answered, sliding the draw shut, locking it with a key.
"Is it about that missing kid?" Stiles grinned in victory as Maeve's smile faded, the older girl letting out a sigh "Can I see?"
"Nice try." Maeve smiled, putting the file back in the other cabinet, "Where's your dad?"
"The hospital." Stiles' smile faded, Maeve sighed standing from her chair, "With my mom."
Finding out about Claudia from the sheriff was heartbreaking, but Noah was thankful Maeve was there to do the jobs he couldn't whilst his wife was in her final stages.
Walking around to lean on the front of the desk, Maeve handed him a spare completed case, laughing as he excitedly took it "Why are you here on your own?"
Stiles flipped through the pages, continuing to read as he replied "They said it was urgent on the phone."
Maeve nodded, glancing over at the clock to check it was almost the end of her shift, "Do you want me to take you home? A friends?"
"You can do that?" Stiles put the file down, stuffing it into his batman backpack.
"I'm your dads intern and he isn't here soo-" Maeve trailed off, pulling on her coat from the back of her chair, picking up her own bag.
"You could take me home, Scott said he would come over!" Stiles exclaimed, bouncing up from his chair "Its not far, but I'm not aloud to walk on my own. Scott got hit by a car when he was on his own trying to get his dog but then the car and it-"
Maeve laughed, cutting off his rambling as she opened the door, motioning for him to follow "I got it."
The station always seemed more chaotic when the sheriff was out, the two youngest in the building made their way through the rushing cops.
Noticing Stiles staring longingly at the vending machine, Maeve stopped in front of it, "You want something?"
Stiles shook his head with a frown, "I haven't got any money."
Maeve grinned, reaching up to the top of the machine, revealing the key, "I have the key."
Stiles grinned cheekily, reaching to grab some chocolate, stuffing some more in his backpack whilst no one watched. Maeve laughed, taking a bottle of water for herself, locking the machine once Stiles had taken more than he could hold.
Maeve tried to hold Stiles back at the sight of the sheriff walking through the doors, noticing the sadness radiating off him instantly.
"Dad!" Stiles sprinted over, wrapping his arms around his father, looking to him nervously "Is mom okay?"
"Yeah, um, where are you going?" Noah nodded dismissively, noticing his sons backpack and jacket.
"Maeve said she'd take me back home." Stiles replied, taking a bite out of the chocolate in his hands.
Noticing Maeve stood not too far behind Stiles, Noah smiled tiredly, "Its alright, Maeve I can do it."
"Its fine, you stay here," Maeve argued, looking to Noah knowingly as she nudged Stiles shoulder, "I can look after Stiles."
Noah nodded slowly, not having the energy to argue with her.
Maeve took the Reeses pieces from Stiles' hand, running over to the doors "Race you!"
Stiles was stunned, blinking in surprise before shouting after Maeve, "Hey! Thats cheating!"
Crawling around in the dusty loft of the Argent house is not how Maeve would choose to spend her time, but after a few comments from her grandmother, Maeve new they had to be keeping more information somewhere.
Glancing down at one of the cracks in the floorboards, Maeve noticed Allison playing in her room, listening through the walls to the family dinner downstairs where thankfully Elizabeth was covering for her.
Holding her breath as she moved, a floorboard creaked beneath her, Allison looked around in confusion before going back to her dolls. Jeans covered in dust, Maeve pulled herself up, lifting a taped up box down, listening downstairs as she tried to open it.
Gerard was the first of the argents to speak, "Will Diana be joining us this evening?"
Elizabeth barely looked up from her food as she replied, "Supposedly, last I heard she was studying with friend."
"Ah, yes, that Deaton boy?" Gerard nodded slowly, Chris looked over to his father suspiciously "He's not a cause for concern, is he?"
Elizabeth rolled her eyes, "James wasn't either, but he got caught in the crossfire, didn't he, Katherine?"
"He was just a piece of the puzzle to get Diana to do what was needed." Kate defended, glaring at her older sister.
Gerard looked between the sisters suspiciously, "Has she?"
"She's getting there." Chris piped in, trying to end the conversation.
"If you asked me, I'd say she has feelings for Derek." Kate's words caused a silence around the room, the twins looked to each other nervously.
Gerard slammed down his half empty glass, "Well that's not going to happen, Katherine. Deal with it!"
Maeve tried her best not to get distracted, tearing off another box lid, knowing she needed something to distract her family before it was too late and her plans failed.
But, what was a bigger shock than her love for Derek?
Maeve's eyes widened at the booklet at the top of the box, a smiling photo of her grandmother printed on the funeral book.
Lorraine. Planning on keeping it a secret until she was sure Lorraine had been safety moved from eichen house, Maeve had no choice but to change her plans.
"I'm sorry mom." Maeve sighed, rummaging further through the box, dropping it in surprise at what she found inside.
"Maeve?" Maeve twirled around in shock, shoving the box back into the shelf, tucking the papers into the back of her jeans.
"Allison!" Maeve gasped, sighing in relief as she rushed over to the loft hatch.
Allison held onto the ladder tightly as Maeve helped her back down,"What are you doing?"
"Just stay upstairs, okay?" Maeve forced a smile, guiding the tall raven haired girl back to her room.
"You're up to something." Allison pointed out, squinting her eyes at Maeve.
"You'll understand in a few years." Maeve grinned, waving goodbye as she moved to run down the stairs, her heeled boots slamming on the wood.
Chris spotted his niece in the doorway, smiling nervously "Maeve?"
Maeve apologised for being late, sliding down in the chair next to her mother, Elizabeth rolled her eyes, wiping the dust off of her daughters head.
Gerard crossed his arms, sitting up in his seat "Where have you been?"
"About that," Maeve began, taking a sip of water before holding her mums hand under the table "I went with the sheriff to look into a case yesterday, and you'll never guess who we ran into at Eichen House."
"Nana." Smirking as Kate's face drained of colour, her mother squeezed her hand, looking to her brother in confusion "They nearly had to admit me. I thought I was seeing a ghost. Since Kate told us all she was dead."
Chris, who looked the most sane of all the Argents, stood from his chair "Moms alive?"
Being the victim to one of the Argent's hide away the problem, Elizabeth couldn't say she was surprised, but the years of grief over her mother was something they couldn't take back.
With a slam on the table, Elizabeth followed in suit, Kate shouted at Maeve in protest, "You're lying!"
"Only because you're guilty. Then of course, Its usually someone else's fault," Maeve argued, raising a brow tauntingly, "Right Kate?"
"But, you couldn't do it alone, could you?" Maeve continued, tossing the papers she found in the attic onto the dining table, "Who better than her own husband to fake her death."
Chris stood frozen in shock, unlike his sister, who threw her glass at the wall, staring at her sister like she was ready to tear her apart. Maeve held her mum back, keeping her meltdown at bay for a few moments, noticing Chris walk around the table towards Gerard.
"You knew?" Chris' voice was dangerously low, Maeve had never seen him so intimidating, "You knew!"
Maeve knew her plan worked if Chris was angry, but as the only brother stepped forward, punching his dad across the face, Maeve didn't expect it to work this well. Maeve took an accomplished step back, feeling ashamed for not feeling guilty.
"Chris!" Kate gasped, Elizabeth grinned watching her father fall.
As Elizabeth started to shout, Maeve took his as her chance to leave, backing out of the room.
Kate rushed after the werewolf, pulling Maeve back "Where is she?"
"Somewhere you'll never find her," Maeve replied ominously, unlocking the door hearing Peter pull up outside.
"Where the hell do you think you're going?" Kate exclaimed, following Maeve towards the door.
"I'm leaving," the door opened with a slam, Maeve storming through it, "I'm done. With all of this."
As Maeve grew safer and happier with the Hales, the more resentment she felt towards the Argents, knowing this was no longer her home, she also knew she could get away with much more.
"Don't you dare walk away from me, Diana!" Kate threatened, "Carry this on and I'll make sure you'll never step foot back in Beacon Hills. All your little friends? I'll deal with them myself!"
"What are you doing to do?" Maeve whirled back around, "Kill me? Better yet, fail to kill me and shove me in the ground next to Nana?"
Sending Kate one last glare, Maeve turned to climb into Peters beloved car, Kate glaring daggers as she watched her niece get away.
"Scratch my car Diana and you'll be tossed back onto the sidewalk," Peter greeted, looking to her in annoyance as she slammed the door shut "Whats got you all riled up?"
Maeve didn't reply, taking her frustrations out on the dashboard, slamming her fist against it, much to Peters dismay "Hey!"
Peter's scolding was interrupted by one of the dining chairs crashing through the dining room window.
Turning to Maeve with wide eyes, Peter heard Elizabeth's shouts from inside, "What the hell did you do?"
"That's my mom," Maeve replied, smiling proudly as Peter drove away, "I just caused a little chaos."
Peter scoffed shaking his head, "A little?"
Maeve grabbed the paper from her back pocket, tossing it onto the dashboard, "Whats that?"
"Derek's dad hasn't been hiding very well," Maeve pointed out, staring at the photo of Seth Hales glowing eyes on the security footage.
"What an idiot," Peter grumbled, "Where was this?"
"Security downtown." Maeve kicked her feet onto the dashboard, Peter pushing them off with a scowl, "But he will be the least their worries for now."
Pulling into the preserve, Peter turned with a frown as Maeve coughed, slowing down the car "Maeve? What's wrong?"
Maeve's coughs continued, gasping for breaths as she sat up in her seat, leaning against the dashboard.
"I can't- b- breathe." Maeve stuttered through breaths, her hand going to her throat, eyes flickering golden.
Noticing her symptoms, Peter started the car back up, speeding down the path as he held her sit straight, "Maeve you're going to be fine, I think they've poisoned you."
Maeve shook her head, panic now affecting her limbered breaths, "No, no-"
"What did you eat?" Peter focused less on the driving now the Hale house was in view, glancing to check on Maeve.
"Nothing, I drank some water-" Maeve coughed, looking to him in realisation as the car stopped "The water?"
Maeve began to wheeze, taking her phone from her jacket pocket, Peter ran around to her side of the car as he called "Archie? It's Maeve, get your dad over here!"
"What's going on?" Peter didn't answer the human, opening the door to help Maeve stand.
Maeve's breaths were spaced apart, her body shaking as Peter lifted her into his arms "I've got you."
"No-" Maeve cried, shaking her head fearfully as Peter ran up the stairs, noticing she was barley conscious as he rushed through the door.
"Talia!" Shouting for his sister Peter carried Maeve into the living room, laying her down on the couch.
Derek looked up from the homework Maeve made him do for himself, rushing out of the dining room hearing his girlfriends heartbeat "Maeve?"
Running through the door, Derek stopped at the end of the sofa, fearfully moving to hold her hand "What happened to her? Peter!"
With the little consciousness she had left, Maeve squeezed Derek's hand, "Maeve?"
—
Alan Deaton had arrived just in time to figure out which type of wolfsbane had been laced in the water, and luckily for Maeve, it was not a moment too soon.
Maeve wasn't going to let it scare her, living with a family of hunters for this long she should've expected it. But knowing that they could know about her, was the scary part.
A few days later and Maeve finally felt back to her normal self, well, she would after her coffee.
Pouring the water into her mug Maeve glanced out of the kitchen window, smiling at Derek and Dean playing basketball in the back garden.
Derek had finally gotten used to having Dean around, it may of taken years and Maeve's influence, but Derek was getting there.
Taking a sip of her coffee, Maeve continued to ignore Peter "Do you hear something talking Cora?"
"No." Cora grinned, playing along as she ate her breakfast.
"Niether do I," Maeve smiled, purposely walking past Peter, "Maybe its a ghost?"
"Ha Ha, Maeve," Peter complained, rolling his eyes as he slouched back on the chair next to Cora.
"There it is again!" Maeve exclaimed playfully, smiling at Cora as she grabbed her bag from the table "I'm meeting Archie at the library, call me if Peter becomes unbearable."
Ignoring Peters goodbye calls, Maeve shut the front door, jogging down the steps to the brothers, catching the basketball as it got thrown in her direction.
Maeve tossed the ball back, Dean jumping to catch it, "You giving Derek some competition for once?"
"Hell yeah!" Dean grinned, grumbling to himself at the sight of his father walking up the path, returning to his game.
Derek watched in confusion as Maeve approached his father, reaching into her bag to get the paper from her old house.
"Next time, try and avoid the cameras," pausing the paper into his hands, Maeve didn't give him a second glance as she walked away, "You won't always have someone to run after you fixing your mess."
"Feisty, that one," Seth commented, walking over to his sons, Dean ignoring his dad "I'm happy you've finally accepted him, Derek."
"I've accepted him, not you," Derek reminded him, "Don't you have a girlfriend to bother?"
"Dean didn't tell you?" Serb stared at Derek in confusion, "His mother ditched the moment she found out about werewolves."
Maeve grudgingly took the microphone from Jamie, "I hate that you've conned me into this."
"Get up there, baby!" Jamie grinned, pushing Maeve onto the stage, playfully winking as she glared back at him.
"How do you do it?" Jamie's mom, Cas, leant against the bar, cleaning a glass as she looked over to Derek.
Derek raised a brow, "Do what?"
"Look like a complete lock stick puppy whilst still being one of the most grumpiest teenagers I've ever met." Cas smiled, nodding over at Maeve, most of the bars attention now on her.
Jamie's dad joined her behind the bar, playfully hitting her back with a towel, "Leave the boy alone, Cas."
"Its the truth!" Cas exclaimed in protest, leaning forward to see Derek smiling up at the stage "You really love her, don't you?"
"Yeah, I do." Derek smiled genuinely, cheering for her as she finished her first song.
Jamie danced his way across the dimly lit bar, hopping onto a bar stool, grinning as his mother stared at him disapprovingly "You're going to screw up your physical therapy."
"But isn't that supposed to heal my all injuries?" Derek watched in amusement as Jamie sipped on his drink
Cas scowled, "Not when I'm paying for it."
"The party is here!" Jamie carried a tray of drinks that his mother had reluctantly handed over, placing them on their table with a grin.
"We can't get drunk, idiot." Derek reminded his overly excited best friend, suspiciously taking the drink from him.
Archie sighed, shaking his head as Jamie started backup, "Ah, ah, ah, that my brother, is where you're wrong."
Jamie placed a smile bottle on the table, motioning to it happily, Laura took it from him "What is this?"
"Something Jamie stole from my dads office." Archie replied, rolling his eyes, the group instantly realising what it was.
Laura gasped excitedly, "No way."
The ability to get drunk was something werewolf's weren't able to experience, but that didn't mean they didn't try, over time, creations like the one Laura held, made them be able to for little while.
"This has got to be a joke." Maeve muttered, watching the eldest Hale pour it into their drinks.
"I've seen this stuff before," Derek remembered, hesitantly taking a sip, "Drunk Peter is just as unbearable as sober Peter."
"Behave, all of you." Jamie's dad told the friends as he walked past, the five of them smiling up at him.
Even drunk, Derek was still somehow his calm, collected, grumpy self. Much to his friends disappointment.
"I know you want to." Jamie teased, embarrassingly bobbing along to the music as he tried to drag Derek over to the dance floor.
Derek shook his head with a scowl, backing away, "No, I don't."
Maeve grinned mischievously, nudging Derek onto the dance floor, playfully glaring at his girlfriend in betrayal, Derek groaned as Jamie forced him to dance. Maeve laughed as Jamie danced around Derek, moving the werewolf's arms for him.
Maeve couldn't watch any longer, pushing herself up from the stool, making her way onto the floor, stealing Derek away from Jamie.
Jamie didn't have a care in the world, rushing off to find the other Hale. Maeve smiled as Derek looked down to her in relief, only to groan as she started to dance too.
Derek and Maeve danced for what felt like hours, the blonde laughing as he lifted her up, twirling her about. Derek had only slightly let loose, and Maeve was a mix of tipsy and happy.
Spotting her two friends not far away from them, Maeve gasped "Derek, look!"
Archie had joined them by now, the trio watching in shock as Laura suddenly turned around, kissing the human that had crushed on her for years.
"Oh my god!" Maeve exclaimed, Archie blinked in surprise whilst Derek glared.
"Hey! Hey! Thats my sister!" Derek shouted over the music, going to break them apart but Maeve and Archie held him back.
"Oh no you don't-" Maeve held his arm tightly, dragging him in the other direction "We've been waiting months for this-You aren't going to ruin it!"
As Maeve pulled Derek in another direction, she didn't notice someone look her up and down as they passed, but of course Derek did, letting out a growl at the man.
"Well done, James, you've just drugged three werewolves with anger issues," Archie grumbled, pushing Derek forward before a fight broke out.
With Archie keeping Derek at a safe distance from the now trio, the three of them sat behind the bar, making drinks from the old stock.
"Oh god," Maeve and Laura giggled as a glass broke, Jamie didn't even notice as he lay on the cool floor opposite him.
"Run!" The two girls exclaimed as Jamie's dad stepped into the bar, pulling Jamie up with them as they rushed to their feet.
"I don't think so," Robert shook his head at the trio, "What part of behave don't you get?"
Jamie grinned up at his dad, "All of it."
Escaping from a lecture from Jamie's dad, Maeve wondered through the dance floor searching for Derek.
Falling over her own feet, Derek caught her before she fell to the ground, laughing as he helped her stand "Okay, lets get you some air, huh?"
"Thats probably a good idea," Maeve mumbled in agreement.
Leading Maeve out into the cold, Derek smiled at her as she took a deep breath of the late night air, leaning back on the wall, his hand still in hers.
Twirling back around, Maeve wrapped her arms around Derek as she kissed him, pulling away to ask "Want to go home?"
Derek nodded, kissing her back before pushing off the wall, letting her hug his side as they walked along the almost silent streets.
Maeve blinked awake at Derek's voice, looking up from her pillow to see it was still dark "Maeve?"
"You better have a good reason for waking me up at-" Maeve grumbled into her pillow, looking over at the clock on the desk "-3am. Derek!"
Noticing his silence, Maeve sat up, crawling over to the end of the bed where he sat, pulling up his t-shirt as it slid off her shoulder.
Maeve smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder, only to sit back in shock at his words "Marry me?"
Blinking in surprise, Maeve placed her hands on the sides of his face "Are you still drunk?"
Derek laughed, shaking his head "No."
Turning around to completely face him, Maeve was too surprised to speak, "Will you marry me?"
"Everything around us is so messed up, but what I know for sure is that I want to be with you." Derek began, Maeve smiled, listening to him in complete awe.
"I love you, and I want to spend forever with you," Derek told her, "I knew that before we found out we were mates, but that only just made me realise that this, us, is supposed to happen. You're my soulmate. Even if we're young, this is what's meant to be."
Marriage had not even been one of Maeve's thoughts, but even at the mention of being Derek's wife, Maeve wanted it. Maeve had been in love before, but no one had ever made Maeve feel the way she did for Derek.
"Yes," Maeve whispered, Derek hearing her completely, smilingly happily up at him "I very much want to spend the rest of my life with you Derek Hale."
Maeve hadn't a care in the world for anyone's opinions or judgement, because she loved Derek, and that was all that mattered, she could worry about the consequences later.
Pulling him close as she kissed him, Maeve smiled against his lips, laughing gently "You're stuck with me now, huh?"
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Derek mumbled, running his hand through her hair.
Given she was still half asleep, Maeve's excitement would have to continue in the morning.
"Now, go back to sleep-" Maeve grinned, rolling back onto her side of the bed, pulling Derek down with her, "I swear, you'd think you were a vampire not a werewolf with your sleeping habits!"
"Rise and shine!" Peter's voice was like stabs to Maeve's head, the blonde glared over at the door where Peter stood with his usual smug smile.
Throwing the pillow from under Derek's head at the older wolf, Maeve grumpily lay back down, Derek on the other hand woke up startled to why he had just face planted the mattress.
"Is that a hangover I sense?" Peter questioned between shouts, snickering to himself at the groans of the two teens, wondering over to the large window, opening the blinds dramatically "We have life!"
"You have five seconds to leave before I rip out your throat with-" Derek stood up with a huff, pulling his hoodie over his head as he glared at Peter.
Maeve sleepily followed after Derek, leaning her head on his shoulder, shutting her eyes with a sigh "This teeth."
"I wouldn't complain just yet," Peter informed them, his voice still annoyingly loud as they made their way to the door, "The Hales are getting some visitors."
Derek didn't take notice, his mind focused on food they reached the first set of stairs, Maeve looked up from Derek's shoulder, her hand still wrapped around his, "Care to elaborate?"
Stumbling against his back as Derek came to a holt, Maeve blinked tiredly, Derek now suddenly wide awake, "Who's home?"
"Just us and Cora, right?" Maeve remembered Talia's mention of a meeting, looking between the two Hales in confusion as Derek rushed down the second set of stairs.
Peter grabbed her arm, pulling Maeve down with them, "Derek, wait-"
Jogging after Derek into the kitchen, Maeve was surprised to find a new face in the house. Most likely woken up by her noisy uncle, Cora followed after them, sleepily wrapped up in her dressing down, leaning against Maeve's hip as they stood in the doorway.
"Morning," The tall stranger greeted, pointing the bacon covered fork over at the four, "Let me tell you, i've missed moms cooking."
Despite the glare on his face, Derek looked somewhat happy to see the man in front of him, "Kieran?"
"Derek, Peter, Cora," Kieran continued, smilingly slightly at Maeve, "Pretty blonde i've never seen before."
Maeve looked around, unsure whether it was the hangover or she was just the only one not catching on, "I'm confused."
