FOUR MONTHS LATER
Maeve was back in the country for an hour before she had to rush off to a job interview in Los Angles, leaving Derek tasked with getting the remaining Hales back to Beacon Hills without suspicion.
Maeve was originally hesitant about the interview she'd been contacted for, and not the other way around, but now sat in the office, she was even more confused. FBI Agent Daniels sat down at his desk after handing Maeve a contact.
Maeve looked to the papers in complete disbelief, "What are you trying to say?"
"We, this department, are well aware of the supernatural," Agent Daniels replied, "It is our job to separate supernatural cases from human ones, solving them, ensuring those responsible are punished appropriatel and most impotently to protect both sides of humanity."
Maeve sat up in her seat, "But- But you want me to be department head? Am I even qualified?"
"Protecting the rights of the supernatural is no easy job, Miss Hale. But I am quite aware of just what's happening in Beacon Hills, and fully confident that you are perfect for this position."
"What, because I'm a werewolf?" Maeve questioned defensively.
Agent Daniel's shook his head, unfazed as he scanned some papers on his desk, "Well this tells me that Diana Hale has the most solved cases compared to her co-workers, that is correct, is it not?"
Maeve nodded slowly.
"It also tells me you are part of prominent families in both the supernatural and hunting groups. You escaped an arson attempt and helped rescue three members of the household," Agent Daniels continued, "You have covered up at least ten supernatural cases to blend with the human's without any suspicion, including multiple involving a Kanima. Oh, of course, not forgetting hiding two supernatural fugitives."
Maeve blushed, "So, tell me Ms Hale, do you still believe you're unqualified?"
"I - well, maybe - its just this is the FBI, i'm only a detective-" Maeve stumbled over her words.
Agent Daniels stood, motioning for Maeve to follow, "I may have something to convince you."
Maeve followed Daniels down a dimly lit corridor, wrapping her lilac blazer tighter around her as a chill hit her arms. Daniels unlocked a heavy door, revealing a row of holding cells in the room.
Maeve cautiously stepped towards the cells, blinking in surprise as she spotted Gerard sat inside one, a black substance leaking from his nose.
Maeve's nose scrunched in disgust, turning to Daniels, "You arrested him?"
"He's committed enough crimes, don't you think?" Daniels replied, paying no mind to Gerard's seething glare.
Maeve sighed, turning to her grandfather, "Gerard."
"I see you've infiltrated the family with more monsters," Gerard spat, nodding at Maeve's protruding stomach.
"Always nice to have more werewolves in the family, isn't it?" Maeve smiled tauntingly, laughing as Gerard hit the glass, "I bet one day there will be even more, sucks having both your granddaughters in love with werewolves, right?"
Sensing a confrontation, Daniels stepped between Maeve and the glass, "He's all yours. Whatever punishment seems needed."
Maeve's eyes lit up, "You don't happen to have a machete, do you? Gerard likes cutting things in half, don't you?"
Gerard wobbly hit against the glass again, glaring at Maeve.
"Perhaps we should deal with him once contracts have been signed," Daniels interrupted, guiding Maeve back through the door, "You wouldn't happen to know what illness he has?"
"Hopefully a deadly one," Maeve grumbled, entering the office.
Sitting down, Daniels looked to Maeve hopefully, "So, can we welcome you to the team?"
"I'm in," Maeve agreed, leaning forward to shake his hand, "What of my current position?"
"We can't have it known of your new status, it would cause too much suspiciously," Daniels informed her, "You'll be undercover."
Maeve nodded slowly, "Who should I alert?"
Daniels glanced at the paperwork before replying, "The sheriff will do just fine, you'll no longer have to report to chief either."
Maeve picked up a stack of documents he passed to her, Laura and Talia's pictures pinned to the front.
"The remaining documents," Agent Daniels explained, "Talia and Laura Hale are now legally declared living, witness protection has their stories covered."
"Thank you," Maeve sighed in relief.
"I hope everything goes to plan," Daniels smiled, pointing to a box beside the door, "Oh, and Ms Hale. It might be best for you to correct some of the missing gaps in those."

Maeve sat down in her car, placing the Beacon Hills labelled box on the passenger seat, rummaging to see what the files had to say.
Picking up the first folder, Maeve set it on her bump which could be said to be used as a portable table.
Maeve groaned at the label, Scott McCall on one, Mieczysław Stilinski on the other, "Idiots."
Maeve rummaged through the box, rolling her eyes at at least ten files on the Kanima alone, "Freaking lizard."
Maeve paused, picking up the file with her name on, information from when she was just a baby up to the present filled the folder. Things Derek didn't even know about were included, Maeve didn't want to know how they got this information, she really didn't.
Her hospital records caught her eye, picking up the papers from around the fire. Her chest clenched at the notes, panic rising as she spotted Noah Stilinski in clear bold letters.
Maeve had months of knowing his could be a possibility, she was prepared, but seeing the words made it a lot more real, and it definitely didn't hurt any less.
Maeve pushed past the thoughts of her father, which would've been hard to do if she didn't have to rush home to take Luna to school. Luna alone was hard to deal with, but an anxious Luna was a task and a half.
"We're going to be late!" Luna stressed, practically leaping out of the car, Derek catching her before she went flying into the road.
"Luna Talia, you're not going to be late, we're here," Derek scolded, "Don't go running into roads."
"But it's eight thirty," Luna shrieked, wriggling to get out of Dereks arms, "Lesson starts at eight thirty."
Maeve finally got out of the car and made her way around to them, "Sweetheart the bell hasn't gone yet."
Luna nodded slowly, holding Dereks hand as they approached the school gates just as the bell rang out in the playground.
Luna gasped, taking her new backpack from Derek, "The bell!"
Derek rolled his eyes, strolling into the playground whilst Luna practically ran circles around him.
"Lunch!" Maeve passed her the box before Luna could go sprinting off.
A force of curly hair slammed into Derek, before the alpha could even react, Sammy was stumbling out from behind him.
"Sorry, Derek!" Archie's brother called back, barrelling towards the school, Luna hot on his heels.
"Have an amazing day! Be nice to your new teacher! The both of you!" Maeve called after them.
Luna and Sammy waved before disappearing behind the door, Derek finally letting out a laugh, "I don't think I've ever willingly rushed to school."
Maeve rolled her eyes, "Luna's passionate about her education, unlike some people."
"Hilarious," Derek muttered, turning around at an excited cry.
"Auntie Maeve!" Jazz's daughter, Suzie wrapped her arms around Maeve, grinning at Derek, "Uncle Derek!"
Maeve squeezed Suzie into a hug, "Hi Suzie!"
Jazz looked at her daughter sternly as they caught up, Suzie let out a huff before slowly strolling up the to school.
Derek chuckled, "That's the attitude they should have towards school."
"Oh, honestly Derek!" Maeve exclaimed.
Jazz eyed Derek and Maeves entwined hands, "Excuse me, Hales, where have you been?"
"Italy?" Maeve smiled innocently.
Jazz's gaze settled on Maeve's stomach, bursting out into laughter, "Sorry- wow, wow. You two don't waste time do you?"
Derek rolled his eyes, "It wasn't at the top of our agenda, Jazz."
Jazz continued to laugh, "No wonder you've been hiding out in Italy."
"A lots happened," Derek pointed out.
"I can see that," Jazz teased, "Seriously though, I'm very happy for you guys."
After Jazz attempting to quiz them on their months away, Derek and Maeve had managed to leave the school, walking hand in hand back to the car.
"So are you going to tell me what's the matter?" Derek questioned knowingly.
Maeve sighed, stopping as they reached the car, "The files my new boss gave me had some information in that I didn't know. Oh, don't look at me like that you haven't done anything wrong."
Derek sighed in relief, but Maeve eyed him in suspicion, "You haven't done anything I need to know about, have you?"
"Course not," Derek replied quickly.
Reminding herself to come back to this conversation another time, Maeve continued, "Well, some of my hospital records show that Noah's my father."
Derek froze in surprise, "Well, we thought this was a possibility, right? This is a good thing."
Maeve shrugged, glancing down at the floor, "I don't know, I've waited twenty five years to know who my dad is. Now I know, I just don't know how to feel about it."
Derek reached out and hugged her gently, "At least we know your dads a decent guy, even if your brothers questionable..."
Maeve laughed against his chest, "Just because he's my brother doesn't mean you're aloud to tease him more."
"I think that's exactly why I should tease him more," Derek smiled down at her.
Maeve looked over his shoulder to the high school across the street, "I should talk to my mom."
"Is that a good idea?" Derek questioned hesitantly, "You know how your temper rises when your pregnant."
Maeve's eyes narrowed on him, "Oh, does it?"
"You know what, maybe you should go talk to your mom-" Derek let her go, backing towards the car, "I'll just wait here."
Maeve rolled her eyes, setting off towards the school, "Sure you will."

Luckily for Maeve, Elizabeth had a free period.
Maeve stopped in the open doorway of her classroom, "finished hiding from me?"
"Diana!" Elizabeth jumped, looking up from her marking only to gasp at Maeve's stomach, "Oh my god. You're pregnant. Why didn't you tell me?"
Maeve hoped when she swapped out her blazer for one of Derek's old denim jackets her bump would be less noticeable, but nothing got past her mother, apparently.
Maeve scowled, walking to sit on one of the desks, "Why didn't you tell me about my dad?"
Elizabeth's met Maeve's glare and sighed in defeat, "Alright, that's fair. I take it you're angry."
"That's an understatement," Maeve rolled her eyes.
"I planned on telling you but then you left for four months," Elizabeth began but Maeve quickly cut her off.
"Don't use that as an excuse, you've had years to tell me," Maeve argued, raising her brows, "Well? It's been on my records for seven years!"
Maeve had gotten over her anger at her mother for not searching for her father when she was young, she could forgive Elizabeth for that. But not hiding the truth for seven years.
"I know I should've told you but I had to tell Noah first," Elizabeth defended, "It took years to get in a good place with him, its not easy talking to your ex-"
"I don't know what happened between you and my dad, but I could never live my life knowing I kept a child from Derek," Maeve fumed, "How hasn't the guilt eaten you alive?"
"You think it's easy?! You were a smart kid Maeve, do you not think it was like a knife to the chest every time you asked one of your million questions about your father," Elizabeth exclaimed, "Or watching you and Noah bond over the years, only to find out he is your father and know that ive kept you from having that relationship that you deserved your whole life. So yes, Diana, the guilt has been with me for a very long time."
Maeve took a deep breath, tears filling her eyes along with the urge to flip the desk, "I know you didn't know until the fire, I understand that, but why wait years to tell us? What was so bad between you and dad that has to be kept a secret?"
"There are some things between your father and I that you don't need to know-" Elizabeth argued.
"If you want to keep secrets, fine," Maeve snapped, turning to leave, "but don't talk to me until you start telling the truth."
"You should probably know Talia and Laura are back," Maeve stopped by the door.
Elizabeth frowned, "Back?"
"Like revived," Maeve stated irritably.
"How-" Elizabeth gasped.
"The witch that helped Peter thought the best treatment was to bring back what he regretted," Maeve answered.
A loud slam and screams of students echoed down the hallway as Maeve reached for the door handle.
"What was that?" Maeve gasped, sharing a look with her mother as they both rushed down the hall to the classroom.
Pushing open the door, Maeve certainly didn't expect to find the room the state it was in, but spotting Stiles was a temporary distraction.
"Stiles? Stiles!" Maeve rushed over to the teen, hugging him tightly.
It was no secret that Maeve had always been protective of Stiles, but now the thought of him in danger sent her into a panic far worse than before.
Stiles blinked in surprise, looking down to spot his sister, "Maeve?"
"Are you alright?" Maeve stressed, ruffling his grown out hair, "You have hair!"
"Well done, Maeve, very perspective," Stiles rolled his eyes, "I'm fine."
Maeve spotted the birds on the floor, holding back her urge to be sick, " What. the. hell."
"Suicidal birds came flying out of nowhere," Stiles shrugged, "For once I don't have a theory. This is just... something else."
Maeve sighed, "Great, suicidal birds, just what we needed."
"Where have you been? No ones heard from you in months other than the occasional I'm alive text," Stiles questioned disapprovingly, "I almost had dad sent out a search party to freaking Italy."
"And! Will you please come pick up your cat, its tore its way through my entire room. Dads attached to the beast, so good luck with that."
Maeve smiled, "I'll get her don't worry. I need to talk to you, later, okay? Bring Scott."
Making her way out of the classroom, Maeve passed to check on Allison, "Allison, are you alright?"
"No really," Allison glared.
Allison and Maeve's relationship had been on a downfall ever since Maeve left after the fire, but Allisons mother's death was what really tipped the scales for them both.
"Allison-" Maeve sighed.
"Maybe if your husband hadn't killed my mother I'd be fine," Allison snipped spitefully.
"Your mother killed herself," Maeve blinked at how harsh it came out, "Sorry, but it's the truth."
Allisons glare on her cousin intensified, but Maeve left before the cousins could start a fight. Unfortunately for Maeve, she stumbled right into her father.
"Hi," Maeve greeted awkwardly, glancing around the hallway.
Confident as she may be, Maeve didn't know how to act around Noah knowing he was her father.
"Hi," Noah replied with a soft smile, "Have a good break?"
"You could say that," Maeve shrugged, "Chaotic as usual. We should probably talk at some point, though."
Noah spotted Elizabeth stood by her classroom door, nodding at him to tell him Maeve knew.
"Yeah," Noah breathed in relief, "We should."

Maeve cursed her choice of footwear as she rushed into the hospital, heels clacking against the floor.
Melissa spotted Maeve and sighed in relief, after finding out Scott was involved in the supernatural mess of Beacon Hills, Melissa was relieved to know there was a trustworthy adult to help him whether he liked it or not.
"Oh good you're here!" Melissa greeted, guiding Maeve in the direction of Isaac's room, "They're trying to get Isaac into surgery but he needs guardian permission."
Maeve adjusted her bag in front of her stomach, "Has he healed?"
"Yep," Melissa chuckled nervously, "I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around this healing thing, honestly."
"Just healing or supernatural in general?" Maeve grinned playfully, Melissa laughed, shaking her head as she went back to work.
Maeve slowed down as a scent reached her, looking around suspiciously for the other wolf. She quickly pulled out her phone and texted Derek Isaac's room number.
Tracing the scent to Isaac's room, Maeve plastered on a dramatic frown, opening the door with a slam. Kali lept back from Isaac's iv as Maeve flounced in, Isaac staring at Maeve in confusion.
"Go with It," Maeve mouthed before gasping, siting down on the bed beside Isaac, "Isaac, sweetheart! Are you alright?"
Maeve eyed Kali's hand, noticing the alpha try to hide whatever she was trying to put in Isaacs IV.
"He's running late for surgery," Kali spoke up stiffly.
Maeve stared back at her sternly, "He's not having surgery."
"It's imperative," Kali argued, flustered.
"He's fine," Maeve pointed out slowly, standing up "and I, his guardian, said he's not having surgery."
"Isaac, don't you agree you should -" Kali looked to Isaac desperately, clenching her fists anxiously.
Maeve snapped her fingers, motioning the alpha to back off, "Don't talk to him. I am more than capable of knowing what Isaac needs and right now that is to go home, so if you'd kindly back off."
"You should listen to me," Kali stepped towards Maeve, her voice in a deep growl.
"First of all, I don't take orders from just anyone," Maeve glared, pouting tauntingly at Kali's bare feet, "especially ones from unqualified alpha freaks who don't know what shoes are."
"Maeve," Isaac warned, rising slowly from his bed.
Kali let out a growl, flicking out her claws to swipe at Maeve, but much to Isaac's astonishment, Maeve ducked at the swipe. Maeve hurried across the room, Kali whirled around to attack but was met with the metal base of a lamp Maeve swung at her head.
Isaac's mouth fell open in shock as Kali tumbled to the ground, jumping as Maeve grabbed onto his arm, "Up! Up!"
Derek and Scott rushed into the hallway, pausing as they spotted Maeve hurrying Isaac out of his room, "Is that Maeve?"
Derek blinked in surprise, calling over, "Maeve!"
"Hi honey," Maeve smiled sweetly, pushing Isaac to crouch down, hiding him from a nurse, "Quick quick-"
Derek smiled in amusement, slightly shocked about how she'd gotten there before them, whilst Scott looked completely confused. But he didn't doubt Maeve, he knew she could take care of herself, even if he didn't like it.
"What? I'm not useless, you know?" Maeve rolled her eyes, pointing to the elevator before rushing off with Isaac, "Can you deal with the scary looking one? Thanks!"
Scott and Derek whirled around, growling at Ennis whilst Isaac and Maeve made a swift exit.
Reaching front desk, realisation dawned on Isaac as he noticed the many looks he was receiving, "I feel slightly exposed."
Maeve snorted, turning to see what was the matter, but burst into laughter.
"This gown is open backed isn't it?" Isaac winced, breathing deeply.
Maeve glared at an old woman giving Isaac an appreciative look, moving her handbag to shield Isaac's backside.
"Please can we never talk about this ever again," Isaac mumbled, walking as fast as he could with Maeve's waddling.
Maeve laughed in reply, glaring back at the woman, "Stare at him one more time, grandma, and I'll arrest you."

"Maeve?"
"Hey," Maeve smiled at Stiles, standing up from the dining table leaving her paperwork abandoned "Come in."
At Stiles' nervous foot step Maeve spoke up, "I spoke with my mom- I figured it out before, but, she's told me everything."
"So you know about dad then?" Stiles sighed in relief at her nod, "Thank god, I don't think I could've kept it a secret any longer... Are you, uh, mad?"
"At my mom, yeah," Maeve sighed.
"At me?" Stiles hesitated.
Maeve frowned, "Why would I be mad at you?"
"I figured maybe you wouldn't want a brother or a new family," Stiles shrugged nervously.
Over the summer Stiles had a long time to overthink every reaction Maeve would have to the news, but the most common thought was that Maeve wouldn't want to be apart of his family.
"Stiles, you've practically been my brother this whole time anyways. This just makes it official," Maeve smiled encouragingly, "Stiles. I'm really happy I get to be your sister."
Stiles looked to her hopefully, "You are?"
"I'm always here for you, okay? You and dad," Maeve pulled him into a hug, "You don't have to worry."
Stiles smiled, "You always have been."
"Why'd your stomach just punch me?" Stiles blinked, pulling away from the hug.
Maeve laughed, patting her stomach, "Technically your future niece or nephew just kicked you."
"No," Stiles gasped.
"Yes," Maeve argued, rolling her eyes.
"No," Stiles repeated with a squeak.
"Stiles," Maeve sighed, sitting down, knowing this would take a while and her feet couldn't handle anymore weight.
Stiles shook his head, pointing to her stomach that he'd failed to notice that morning, "Take it back."
"Its not a pair of shoes, Stiles, I can't just return it," Maeve reminded, "The damage is already done."
"NO," Stiles exclaimed, stumbling around in shock.
"Is 'no' all you can say?" Maeve questioned in amusement.
"Baby?" Stiles cried, the shock settling in.
Maeve rolled her eyes again, "Yes, a baby, Stiles."
"Another Derek?" Stiles wheezed, starting to pace around the room.
Maeve shrugged, "Potentially, we find out the sex next week."
Stiles started to gasp for air, "Another Luna?"
"Uh, maybe?" Maeve replied, sitting up in concern, "Stiles? Are you breathing? Stiles!"
Stiles all but threw himself down onto the sofa, wincing, "Oh my god. I'm going to related to another Hale. Why would you do this to me, Maeve? Is Derek not torture enough?"
Maeve scowled, shaking her head, "You love Luna. And stop hating on Derek, he's not that bad."
"Yes, I love my niece," Stiles agreed, pointing to the picture of luna hanging on the wall smiling innocently, "but she's a terror, just like her father."
"Watch it," Maeve glared, sighing as Stiles started to pinch his arm, "Stiles, don't be stupid, this is real life. I'm having a baby, its not the end of the world."
"My sister-" Stiles stuttered, "-baby. Derek's baby."
"Do I need to remind you that I've already got one?" Maeve chuckled.
"But you and Derek just got together," Stiles frowned, "How are you pregnant?"
"Well, Stiles when two people love each other-" Maeve began.
Stiles waved his arms, shouting, "Thats not what I meant! Please don't put that image in my head! Ew!"
"I was scared thinking dad didn't give you the talk then," Maeve laughed.
"Obviously you didn't get a good enough one," Stiles scowled pointedly.
"You know what, Stiles, you and nan are getting on my last nerves with these teen mom jokes. I'm twenty-five! Let me have this freaking baby in peace," Maeve complained, huffing in annoyance.
"Oh no," Kieran teased, brining Luna home from school, "You've met hormonal, Maeve. Run whilst you can."
Maeve glared at Kieran, accepting Luna's hug as she skipped over.
"How many have you got stuffed in there - you're huge!" Stiles questioned, tilting his head to properly look at her stomach.
"STILES!"

An even paler Stiles and Maeve walked into Dereks loft, looking to each other in confusion at Scotts appearance.
"I knew I wanted to get a tattoo when I turned eighteen. I always wanted one. I just decided to get it now, to make it some kind of reward," Scott told Derek.
Maeve sat down on the couch, propping her feet on the coffee table, "For what?"
"Not falling or texting Allison all summer," Derek and Maeve shared a knowing look, "Even when I really wanted to, even when it was hard not to sometimes. I was trying to give her the space she wants. Going four months later it still hurts. It still feels like a um..."
"Open wound?" Derek suggested.
"Yeah..." Scott nodded with a sigh.
"Am I missing something here-" Maeve began, but laughed in amusement as Derek lifted a blow torch off the table, "Oh god."
"The mains going to be worse than anything you've ever felt," Derek informed Scott.
"Ah, that's great," Stiles stammered.
Scott took a deep breath, "Do it."
"Oh wow, that's a lot for me... so I'm gonna take that as my cue. I'm just going to wait outside," Stiles tried to make his way out of the loft but Derek caught his arm, pulling him back.
"Nope."
Stiles looked to Maeve in disbelief,
"Are you going to let your husband manhandle me like this?"
Maeve grinned, motioning for him to help, her brother grumbling as he made his way over, "You can help hold him down."
"Why can't Maeve hold him down?" Stiles whined, holding onto Scotts shoulders.
"Because Maeve's pregnant," Derek answered bluntly.
Scotts draw dropped, whirling around to face Maeve, "Maeve's what now?"
Stiles blinked in surprise like he'd heard the news all over again, but was distracted by Derek turning on the flame, "Oh, my god."

"It worked!" Scott cradled his arm happily.
Stiles on the other hand, scowled at the tattoo, "Well it looks pretty damn permanent now."
"Yeah. I kind of needed something permanent."
Maeve smiled in amusement as Derek put away the torch, "I can't believe you just did that. Why didn't I know you had a blow torch hidden away in here?"
"I thought this was the place we stored things to hide from Luna," Derek reminded, "I'd say a blowtorch falls in that category."
Maeve laughed, "True."
Making their way out of the loft, Stiles stopped by the desk, scanning over Maeves paperwork on top of Derek's desk.
"Scott, look-"
"What?" Scott walked back over to the desk, "My names on this."
Stiles held up the folder. "Mine too- Maeve! What's this?"
Derek reached them first, standing in front of the desk, "Go home, boys."
"Maeve," Stiles raised his brows at his sister, "Tell me."
Maeve sighed, sharing a look with Derek, "Well those folders I took from my new job, so you're welcome, by the way. And the other thing... well, Uh, there's some new werewolves in Beacon Hills."
"The birds at school and the birds last night, just like the night I got trampled by the deer when I got bit by the alpha," Scott pieced together.
Maeve winced at the memory, "Not Peters finest moment."
"How many are there?" Stiles questioned nervously.
"A pack of them," Derek answered, "An alpha pack."
"All of them? How does that even work?" Scott asked in surprise.
"There's a leader," Maeve replied, "He's called Deucalion. And we know they have Boyd and Erica."
The couple shared a look, Derek adding, "There's something else you should know."

Stiles and Scott sat in the living room going through the files Maeve bought home whilst they waited for everyone else to arrive. Maeve and Derek were in the kitchen quietly bickering.
"Maeve."
"Derek."
Maeve stepped away from their hug, Dereks hands resting on her sides, "Don't you think we should do one bombshell at a time?"
"They'll figure it out and it's not like you can hide it very well," Derek pointed out, gently rubbing over her stomach.
"Are you saying I'm fat?"
"No."
"Are you saying I'm too small then?"
"Maeve - what? No!"
"Sorry, Stiles all but called me a whale earlier," Maeve sighed, "Well I'll have to use you as a shield when they freak out, won't i?"
Derek rolled his eyes as more voices filled the loft, holding Maeve's hand as he led her out of the kitchen.
Jamie was the first to spot them, grinning, "Archibald! You owe me money, my friend! Lots of it! Everyone laughed at me for making silly bets, who's the winner now?!"
"Can we talk about your bets later, we have something important to tell you all," Derek interrupted.
Jamie motioned to the couple, "Whats more important news than you two getting back together?"
"Just listen, James," Maeve told him irritably, "You're only here because you're all our most trusted."
The room quickly grew tense, nervous glances shared between them. Out of Maeve and Dereks friends, Archie, Jamie and Jazz were to know the truth, Scott and Stiles would find out the truth regardless, and Lorraine of course was included.
"Whilst in Italy, uh-" Maeve continued, unsure how to say it, "the witch decided to do as she wanted and brought back Laura and Talia."
Archie sat up straighter, "What? Brought back?"
"Like from the dead?" Stiles' voice wavered, "Please tell me you're joking."
Talia and Laura saw that as their cue, walking down the stairs to join their friends and family.
Jamie spotted the two Hales and swiftly blacked out, falling back against the conveniently placed sofa.
Lorraine simply took a deep breath, "Oh good lord."
Archie crouched down beside Jamie, shaking his shoulders, looking up cautiously at Stiles who looked not too far off fainting as well.
Of all the things Stiles expected Maeve to tell them, this was definitely not one of them.
"James? You good?" Archie questioned, relaxing as Jamie let out a groan.
"Ghosts," Jamie whispered.
Jazz looked slightly more cautious than the rest, "They're both alive again? For good?"
Jazz had been let in on the supernatural around the time Maeve moved back home, and was still processing the new things the supernatural threw in their direction.
"You said you were going to Italy to help him!" Stiles found his voice, pointing over to Peter leant against the door, "Not raise the freaking dead!"
"We did!" Maeve exclaimed, "The witch was a lunatic and decided the only way of helping was to being them back-"
"And put out some witchy magic to get you pregnant," Peter added, smirking playfully.
"Peter!" Maeve and Derek shouted, matching glares on their faces.
"WHAT!"
Lorraine and Maeve fell into a stare off, "Keep your opinion to yourself, nan, I know what you're going to say-"
"Well," Lorraine chuckled, "it's only fitting you have accident children giving you were one yourself."
The room fell into another silence, those not used to Lorraine's typical comments like Talia, were completely shocked.
Maeve spluttered, eyes wide, "Nan!"
"Congrats!" Archie stepped in before Lorraine could continue, pulling Maeve into a hug.
"Thanks Arch," Maeve smiled, glaring at Lorraine over his shoulder, her nan returning the playful glare.
"Hi Laura," Archie hugged her before Jamie took over.
Jamie and Laura decided dating just wasn't for them not too long into their relationship, much to Dereks glee, instead building their friendship.
Jamie launched across the room, picking Laura up into a hug, "Laura! You're not dead!"
Jamie then pulled Talia into a very unexpected hug, "Mommy Hale, I've missed you!"
"Hello, James," Talia chuckled, patting his shoulder, "I see you haven't changed."
Jamie shot over to Maeve, patting her stomach causing Maeve to glare at him, "And hello baby Hale!"
"James," Maeve groaned.
Jamie grinned, "Don't you put a damper on my excitement you hormonal thing."
Derek winced expecting an explosion from Maeve, but she kept surprisingly quiet, glaring at Jamie.
"Now that's all sorted, I'm going for a nap," Maeve waved goodbye to her friends.
"Any other bombshells before you go?" Stiles joked.
"Well Gerard's in a supernatural prison," Maeve shrugged, yawning as she turned back to head upstairs.
"What?!" Scott and Stiles exclaimed.
Maeve stopped by the staircase, "Also, the sheriffs my dad! Surprise!"
Scott blinked slowly, looking between Maeve and Stiles in disbelief. Lorraine was shocked silent for once in her life. Jamie, Archie and Jazz all looked to each other in surprise.
"Did anyone here know that that I need to shout at? No?" Maeve questioned sarcastically, "Nan?"
Lorraine let out a breath, "No idea."
"Good!" Maeve announced before storming up the stairs, as much as she could, slamming her bedroom door.
Derek sighed, knowing he'd be left to deal with her. But after the day she'd had, he couldn't blame her. Finding out who your dad was was quite the draining experience.
"Hormonal Maeve, always a delight," Jamie sang knowingly.
