It's been already four years since Shu Ning entered into the body of Meng Yi and in his opinion it was going really well. Not only did he manage to get all the attention of the two men of the Sheng family, and with that managed to get Sheng Xi mad with jealousy while she wasn't able to touch him anymore, but he also got closer to Fan Li through the tutoring.
In those few years that it took him to get the threes affection, Shu Ning also sorted through Meng Yi's memories bit by bit until he found out what caused his step mother to despise him so much to even want to kill him and how he knew about the Female Lead.
Meng Yi was just an unlucky kid that was way to friendly and naive for the world. The child stumbled upon the past of the Female and Male Lead and later found out about Sheng Xi's plans. So because the boy knew too much and tried to hinder Sheng Xi's plans, the woman needed to get rid of him and started mistreating him to make him timid and afraid of telling on her until the wretch could end his life without it seeming strange.
After Shu Ning read through the world's plot again, that he had gotten from Alpha, he saw the information in a totally different way. Nothing of it was like he initially thought and the real victim had always been Meng Yi. Shu Ning already figured it out a while before but after having all the puzzle pieces together now, he could finally start the last part of his plans and take sweet revenge on behalf of the little child.

"Finished getting ready? The first guests have already arrived."
Shu Ning turned away from the mirror he was mustering himself in and caught sight of his elder Brother leaning against the wall of their room.
"Yes. Done. What do you think?"
Today was Meng Yi's sixteenth Birthday, so the boy chose to wear a tight fitting black suit that neatly encased his slender frame and had his black hair combed and fixed back on his head, showing of his youthful face.
Sheng Su had never seen Meng Yi dressed in a suit before, so he was quite surprised in the sudden change of appearance of the other. But instead of finding it weird, the boy's serious demeanor looked ethereal beautiful.
"Good."
More then that, the Man wasn't able to say with how dry his mouth was starting to feel. An awkward silence settled between them while the older wasn't able to pull his gaze away from the other's Body.
After a few more minutes of just staring at each other, Sheng Su forced himself to wake up his dazed brain again, that had ceased Funktion sometime in between. To escape the embarrassment of reacting that way, he spun around and just threw a "Then come down" over his shoulder before hurrying down the stairs to mix with the party guests, leaving a secretly smirking Meng Yi behind.
Shu Ning watched the retreating figure of his Brother in amusement before following him down the flight of stairs and into the noisy living room. Multiple heads turned in his direction when he entered through the door and Shu Ning was only able to recognize a few of the invited guests. One of those was a young woman in a long purple dress and long hair put up in a high bun.
"Fan Li."
The girl smiled widely at the approaching youth and a small blush covered her cheeks in embarrassment.
"Meng Yi. Congratulations. You are finally sixteen. How does that feel?"
"Thank you. I'm glad that you could come today. But turning sixteen doesn't feel different than normal."
Shu Ning took the other's soft hand and guided her along to the couch on the side of the room to sit down and talk. The couch was pushed to the outer wall of the living room before the party began, so from there the youth was able to overlook the entire room and could see all the people within.
While the two youth's were conversing and relaxing at the edge of the party, Shu Ning felt a tingling sensation on his skin, like someone was intensely gazing at his body.
There was no need to look up and search around for that pair of eyes though, as Alpha watched over the entire living room for him as well and soon found Sheng Su standing somewhere further away from them and frowning at the two youth's in displeasure.
In Alphas opinion, the Man looked like he was on the verge of committing murder when he looked at the two happy children, but he refrained from commenting on it any further.
Shu Ning didn't pay his Brother any further attention because at this moment Alpha informed him that Sheng Xi and Fan mother have left the house together. At hearing that a mischievous glint passed through the boy's eyes that stayed unnoticed by the still speaking Fan Li. This was exactly what Shu Ning had been waiting for.
To make sure he didn't break his innocent act, the teen turned his attention back to the words of the young woman while instructing Alpha on what to do.
Just a few seconds passed when a loud beeping noise ripped through the noisy estate, silencing all the guests inside that looked at each other in confusion. But no one could tell where the sound was coming from and before they could think about it any further, the beeping was replaced by the voices of two well known women.
"This is not going how it was supposed to! If it continues on like this, then it's us who will suffer!"
"Xi, you have to calm down."
"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down? That trash is ruining everything! We should have gotten rid of him already!"
"We still have a chance to do that. It's still not to late."
"Are you stupid? If we kill Meng Yi now, then my husband and son will investigate! That bastard child has wrapped them around his little finger. Why do you think I wasn't able to touch him anymore. There are too many eyes on him now."
"Then what now? Our plans are ruined because of him. Even my own daughter is useless now. She is totally captivated by that child."
"That's why we have to think of another way. That girl is not the only one we can use. I'm more worried that Meng Yi will talk. In the past I could just beat him up and he would turn into an idiot but now that's impossible. The bastard is too dangerous. It's only a matter of time, till he tells on me."
"That... So what now?"
"Listen. We can't meet each other again for a while, until thinks calm down. For now it's important to get rid of everyone in our way. Make it seem like an accident. Let Meng Yi die in a car accident, or something like that. I will leave it to you."
"And then what?"
"And then what. What do you think? Get my son to be engaged with an idiot, kill my husband and take over the company."
There was complete silence in the entire Sheng villa, when the conversation finally stopped. No one made a sound, as they were all preoccupied to understand what had just happened.
Sheng Rui especially had trouble understanding Sheng Xi's words. As the husband, he always thought to know his woman the best and had trusted her with his everything, so to hear those cruel words from his wife's mouth left him standing there with a pale complexion and horrified expression. If he could, the man would even like to faint on the spot but there was no way that he could escape now without questioning her.
There wasn't any need to think about this issue any longer, because the woman in question, Sheng Xi, finally came back inside to mix in with the party guests again. But instead of laughing and talking people, she came face to face with strange, incredulous stares, leaving her all confused and uncomfortable.
No one of the present guests dared speak up first and were just continuing to stare at the woman at the door, so Sheng Rui cleared his throat and stepped forward.
"Xi. What's the meaning of this?"
"I don't quite understand what you mean?"
"Xi...."
Sheng Rui didn't know how to ask about what he heard just now. It was all just to much on him, making the words die before being able to come free.
The two people were stuck in a stalemate again and if this continued then nothing would be resolved like this, so Sheng Su, that had been already on the verge of erupting, walked next to his father and stretched out his hand to slam the woman right against the wall.
"You planned on killing little Yi and father? You wanted to find an easy woman to engage to me for your own selfish reasons?"
The hand's grasped the collar of the woman tighter and slammed her against the wall again. A yelp escaped Sheng Xi's mouth, as she grabbed her son's hand to pry open the fingers clutching at her clothes.
"Son. Calm down. What's wrong? I don't understand."
"Stop acting. Everyone here heard what you told to miss Fan. No need to pretend any longer. I won't let you touch even a strand of hair on little Yi's head. I thought I made that clear already."
"No. I...."
"Answer! I'm already angry enough, so don't test my patience anymore."
A growl sounded from Sheng Su's throat, as he thought about a beaten Meng Yi, laying on the ground, groaning in pain. It was such a frightening thought that his eyes turned a shade of red when he looked at his supposed mother's scared face.
"Will you talk now?"
"I... I'm sorry. I don't know. I really..."
The woman was still denying the accusations that filled the room. She was smart and knew that her life would be even worse if she confessed to it now. Without real evidence, she could still lie herself out of this predicament.
But this thought was build up on the trust that her own son would actually take the side of his own blood related mother above that of a bastard Brother.
Of course Sheng Su wouldn't let her of lightly just because of blood ties. He was already thinking on torture methods on how to make her talk, but before the man could even act on his thoughts, thinks started to get even more chaotic when multiple police officers forced their way into the villa.
"Hand out a woman called Sheng Xi. We will have to take her with us for questioning during the process of our investigation."
