System, are you messing with me? - Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Sheng Xi screamed and struggled as the police officers yanked her arms behind her back and dragged her out of the villa. It didn't take long after for the other men to follow and leave as well. What stayed in the house were now only the utterly confused party guests.
It stayed silent for a lot longer then the first time before whispers started to pass through the people again. It would definitely get chaotic soon if no one cleaned up the mess left by Sheng Xi and only Sheng Rui could take over that job, but he seemed to be caught in his own daydream as he still gazed to the door his wife disappeared through just minutes ago.
Sheng Su watched his father's body sway from the stress and stretched out his arms to steady him. The older man's legs were visibly shaking and ready to give out, so the heir guided the other to sit on the couch beside the youngest son to calm down again while he took on the job to handle the relevant affaires.
"Shut up and listen! The party is over, so I ask you all to please leave our house. And I hope you all know not to talk nonsense to others. If you want to talk about what happened here today then do so, but then mention all the details about Sheng Xi and don't distort the truth."
No one dared to linger any longer when they saw the man's dark expression and soon the house was empty of outsiders again except for one-
Fan Li was still sitting on the same spot as before and staring into the distance. For her it was a lot to digest as well, especially because her mother was a part of this and mentioned her name in their plan as well. Because of the girl's swirling emotions and turning thoughts, she didn't hear Sheng Su's words or notice how the man walked up to her front and scowled down at her in displeasure.
"You didn't hear me? You should leave as well."
Shu Ning felt a bit of pity towards the female lead to be treated so harshly even though she was a victim as well. In the time they spend together he did develop some goodwill towards her. She was innocent and actually really kind and sweet, but only for a friend and definitely nothing more.
The girl looked at him for a while, so he gave her a reassuring smile and hugged her close to him for a second before Fan Li was forcefully pried away from him by his Brother and  thrown out of the Villa.
"Big Brother. Do you need to be so harsh? She didn't do anything."
Sheng Su still had a dark look in his eyes but his expression visibly softened after he looked at the young boy. He looked at the other's shining eyes some more and placed his hand on the young ones head to rub it for comfort.
Shu Ning let the man have his fun playing with his hair for a bit but got annoyed by it really fast and slapped the hand away and scowled. That though elicited a hearty laugh from the man's mouth and soon he was scooped up into his Brother's arms and placed back onto his lap.
"Brother! I'm not a child anymore. Let me down, right now."
Struggling seemed to be useless in the tight grip of Sheng Su's hands and whining in protest amused the male lead even more, so Shu Ning gave up and just settled down in defeat.
"Good. Admit defeat. You won't get away."
"Try me you hooligan. Never ever will you make me bow down to your powers."
A huge smile appeared on the youngest son's face as he flapped his arms again in a mock fight against his Brother. For a short while the happy harmony of the family came back again and even Sheng Rui smiled slightly as he watched his two sons play with each other.
But today just wasn't a day to be happy at all, as the soft and delighted laughter of the youth was interrupted by the loud ringing of Sheng Rui's mobile phone. After looking at the display of his phone the older male sighed as he pressed the answer button.
"Wang Bao my friend. Please tell me that you have some good news for a change?"
"Sorry to say, but no. It seems like you didn't go to the internet yet? It's full of crazy news of Sheng Xi. Go to Meng Yi's Weibo account. There is a link that will take you right to it."
"Meng Yi?"
Sheng Rui turned his head and locked eyes with the innocent blue eyes of the youth that were watching him full of question.
"Yes. Just look at it. Afterwards remember my words. I told you so."
With those words the connection of the phone broke of and for a second only the beeping of the phone echoed inside of the living room.
After the police left the Villa earlier, Sheng Rui though that the matters were over for now and that he could get some rest for his brain to catch up to the things of today, so he tried his best to push everything related to his wife out of his mind but because of that, the man didn't ask about the investigation the police was conducting against Sheng Xi.
But the phone call of Wang Bao woke up the two oldest Male again and they started to question if what they knew about Sheng Xi's crimes were only a part of it. So without further ado, the family of three stuck their head over the laptop of Sheng Rui and called up Meng Yi's Weibo account.
The web side popped up immediately and showed a lively image of Meng Yi in his Birthday suit followed by a lot of congratulation commentary. Sheng Rui had no time to appreciate the picture though as he scrolled up to the top and finally found what he was looking for.

Sheng Rui's hands shook slightly as he clicked on the link that brought them to another well organized web side with the headlines 'The Danger of a corrupt Wife - Sheng Xi'
This sentence alone already brought back the storm of feelings to the Males but the information that followed after drove the two to despair instantly.
Sheng Xi has already done a lot of horrible things in her life that were now unable to stay hidden any longer. So now with evidence on the internet about abusing and insulting children, beating celebrities,  threatening small companies, attempted murder, forging evidence to distract the police, bribery of attorney and many more, the woman was in deep trouble.
These crimes alone would maker her life a suffering mess in prison, but that wasn't all that the Website hat to offer to bring her down socially even more. There were also multiple pictures of Sheng Xi with different men in ambitious poses or naked in bed. It was completely obvious with that, that the woman made her husband wear a green hat their entire marriage long.
Finding out such information about your wife alone was already emotionally tormenting, but thanks to Shu Ning's huge fan base on Weibo that forwarded the link to the Website as well, those Information had already spread through the entire town. Now it was unlikely that someone wouldn't know about Sheng Xi by tomorrow morning and that was exactly what Shu Ning wanted.
The pressure of a huge crowd is something no one can flee from. So the police and Sheng Rui are forced to deal with the woman as fast as possible and the man can't deny the truth any longer.
It had obviously worked, looking at the way Sheng Rui's and Sheng Su's expression paled and twisted more and more the further they read. The two were on the brink of collapsing but persisted through the whole truth until Sheng Rui just couldn't hold on anymore.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I'm so sorry. Little Yi. That you had to suffer so much and I didn't listen to you or didn't save you. Please forgive me."
Shu Ning stayed silent as he listened to his father's pleading. The man had grabbed both of his hands and earnestly asked for forgiveness, but Shu Ning couldn't help but ridicule the whole situation. He could understand that his father felt emotionally tormented and guilty towards his children but the man in front of him had betrayed his wife first and even drugged and raped a woman and now that his wife did the same the world was collapsing for him?
Something about Shu Ning's expression must have shown the thoughts whirling inside of his head because Sheng Rui's eyes widened for a second before closing again in despair.
"I understand. I can't make up for what I did. Not now and not back then either. I shouldn't have ignored other people around me. What I did with your mother... I wanted to make up for everything. I promised myself to protect you in her stead. I know that I was too arrogant to think that I could actually make up for what I did. I'm so sorry. I failed you and your mother. I'm so sorry."
"Father. I... It's true. I did blame you for my mother's misery. If it wasn't for you, then she wouldn't be so sad all the time. But back then she told me not to be angry at you. You did wrong things. That's for sure, but mom said she was happy. Because thanks to you I existed and my mother told me everyday how glad she was that I am alive. So I need to thank you. For creating me. Thank you dad. For taking me in and giving me a home. I'm happy. And now that Sheng Xi is gone, we can finally be a loving family."
There was silence in the living room again as Sheng Rui tried processing Shu Ning's words but the man opened his mouth several times to say something but didn't know what.
After watching the two silently staring at each other, Sheng Su finally couldn't bare it anymore. He had read all the information about Sheng Xi too and felt nauseous just thinking about it but the heavy emotions bombarding his heart didn't shut down his brain, so he noticed right away, that the boy was looking too unfazed today. As if he wasn't surprised about everything that has been happening today. There was no change in his expression or demeanor at all.
Sheng Su might have been overrun by the happenings today but in all this chaos, he has always continued to pay close attention to Meng Yi in case the boy needed him, so he noticed every change of expression of the guy.
After thinking about Meng Yi's involvement in this case yet again, he couldn't contain his curiosity any longer and just bluntly interrupted his fathers next words.
"Father. A lot of thinks happened and all of us are mentally very tired because of it. You should get some rest as well and I will take care of Meng Yi. He isn't as strong mentally as he always pretends to be. He must be hurting too, so we will excuse ourselves now. The Birthday party has already ended in utter chaos, so don't trouble him anymore."
Before Shu Ning could say anything to retort the claim of his Brother, the man had already stood up from the couch and lifted him up by his waist to drag him of to to the stairs.
Without turning back to his father, Sheng Su made his way to their shared bed room while carrying a slightly confused youth hanging over his shoulder and loudly shut the door behind them.
