System, are you messing with me? - Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Shu Ning pulled the blanket over his head to block out the loud argument and yelling noises from downstairs. Even if he tried to ignore the sounds, they automatically drilled into his ears, making his body restless. Luckily, the house went back to quiet not too long after, so he could finally settle down and get some rest.
Shu Ning yawned and rubbed his sleepy eyes. He felt too exhausted to go back to his own room and he didn't really care about that anyway, so he just scooted to one side of the bed and closed his eyes to sleep.

After being woken up by the soft and warm glow of the morning sun, Shu Ning couldn't help but rub his cheek on the soft pillow moaning in bliss.
Shu Ning: "I missed this feeling. So good. I really don't want to go back to my own room anymore. I've been tortured for so long in that run down room of mine."
System: "But you just arrived in this world a few days ago."
Shu Ning: "...." 'Why does Alpha always have to take me so seriously?'
Shu Ning rolled around the big bed a few times more before finally getting up and changing his clothes.
Sheng Su was already long gone for the company and the bed didn't show any traces of a second person occupying it.
Shu Ning didn't think too much about it though and just finished washing up in the bathroom. After packing up the scattered laundry of his, Shu Ning threw it into Meng Yi's room and finally settled down at the breakfast table.
The house was completely silence and even after listening careful, the youth still couldn't hear any kind of movements.
Shu Ning: "Alpha. Where is the woman? What did my older brother do to her?"
System: "You don't need to worry. The woman wasn't killed and only suffered minor bruised on her wrist and emotional torment. Right now, she is at her sisters house. The male Lead argued with her yesterday and threatened her to keep away from you. So she fled to her family."
Shu Ning: "Shit. That makes it more difficult to let my idiotic father see her true face. I will have to temporarily change my plans it seems."
Shu Ning quietly ate the food that was left for him on the table while planning his next steps, when a loud siren sounded directly inside of his head.
System: "HOST!!! The female lead entered the male lead's company just now!"
Shu Ning: "Don't worry. I will take care of it. Oh, and Alpha. Don't you ever make such a ruckus inside of my head again!"
Shu Ning rubbed his aching temples while not forgetting to glare fiercely at the System.
System: 'I was just trying to be of help (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)ﾟ'
Shu Ning ruthlessly ignored the pitiful acting system and rushed outside of the house and into the next taxi after putting away the rest of his food.
"To the Sheng company please."
Shu Ning: "What did the female lead come to the company for? It's too early in the timeline for their first meeting."
System: "Because Host is an outsider of this world the Host is able to change the plot line. Maybe you did something to influence the female lead?"
Shu Ning grew quiet after that. As far as he knows, he didn't do much that involves the female lead except for their first meeting. But that was just a minor scene. The only thing that was drastically changed in the plot, was that the wretch left the Sheng residence for a bit. Could the woman have some sort of influence on the female lead? But the information he got from the System didn't explain any secret relationship between the Sheng and Fan family. The only reason those two families interacted with each other, was because of the male and female lead. But the original plot shouldn't have a scene in the Sheng company so early. The female lead hasn't even entered Sheng Su's class in school yet. So what was going on? Shu Ning couldn't think of any reason for this change at the moment so he just dropped the subject and waited for the car to arrive.
The Taxi held at the side of the rode, directly in front of the Company's doors. It was a very high, light blue building. The facade was lined with multiple big glass windows where, from time to time, you could see black silhouette hurry from one end to the other.
Shu Ning climbed out of the car and stared at the double door of the building. Right behind this door was the female and male lead. They should have had enough time to meet for the first time, so he had to hurry and play the third wheel on their 'date'.
Shu Ning: "Alpha. Show me the list of the System Store."
With a -bling- sound a black page appeared in front of his face. After scrolling through the list of items, Shu Ning finally stopped to make his purchase. What he chose was a Bento, with healthy and nutritious food, that was beautifully arranged into a blooming flower.
Now that Shu Ning had prepared an excuse for his visit, he could finally cross through the entrance to the Sheng Company.

Sheng Su was sitting in his office, looking over the big stack of documents that he had to read and sign. Since his father has left the country for a while, all the work was left to the heir of Sheng family. Him.
With a deep sight Sheng Su opened a yellow folder from the stack of documents. Inside were reports on the black ants that corroded the entire Sheng Company. Some of  the infiltrated spies were already disposed of but Sheng Su could only feel relieved after checking every single one of the employees.
After lightly skimming through the text a knocking resounded from the office door, so he had to temporarily put away the report. Sheng Su had called for Wang Bao before, so he wasn't surprised to be disturbed by a visitor at this time, but to his surprise it wasn't a young and robust man entering through the door.
The first thing Sheng Su saw, was a slender and white arm that disappeared in a light blue T-Shirt. Then the tightly fit jeans, that highlighted the boys straight and thin legs. Finally a round and beautiful face appeared in his sight. The black hair moved softly with every one of the youths moves. One of the strands fell into his face, tickling his nose, so he pursed his lips and blew it out of the way.
It was Meng Yi. His Meng Yi.
Sheng Su froze. What did he just think? His Meng Yi? It came as a real surprise that such a thought crossed his mind, but after carefully thinking about it, that description didn't feel wrong at all. Rather, he felt a warm and tingling sensation in his chest that started spreading in his whole body.
"Brother. Have you eaten yet?"
The boy shyly lowered his head while fiddling with his fingers.
"I-I... uhm... I was worried that brother would be to busy with work and forget to eat, so I brought you something."
Meng Yi took out the lunch box that was hidden behind his body and held it in front of Sheng Su.
"Did you make the food yourself?"
"Yes. I hope it's to your taste. I tried my best."
Sheng Su couldn't help but swallow. His heart was heavily thumping in his chest and he suddenly felt very hungry.
"Come here and show me. I really haven't eaten yet."
The boy walked towards his side and opened the lid of the box almost blinding his eyes. There was a colorful rose out of herbs in the center of the box surrounded by fried rice, sausages, omelette and sticky beans.
Sheng Su was really stunned by this spectacle. He didn't know that his little baby knew how to cook so good. He hoped that the taste would be as good as the overall appearance but even if not, he had already sworn to eat it all up.
Just one bite of this lunch was enough though to completely forget his thoughts and savor the diversity of flavors. Sheng Su couldn't help but groan in satisfaction.
"How is it?"
"hmm. Very good."
Meng Yi's smile grew even wider after being praised by his big brother and his eyes sparkled brightly like beautiful diamonds. Sheng Su's heart trembled by that sight and his eyes softly watched the boys every move.
"Ähmm.... Excuse me?"
Sheng Su frowned from their interruption and his mood instantly cooled down. Because his eyes were glued onto the youth's body from the minute he stepped into the office, he completely didn't notice a second person entering the room. The person who spoke was a beautiful woman with long brown hair, a rosy complexion and a long white-pinkish dress, that fell loosely around her ankles. Her temperament was calm and gentle, like a summer breeze that brushes softly over the land.
"Big Brother. This is Fan Li. I just met her lurking in front of the office, so we entered together."
The girl stiffened after hearing the boys words but her sweet smile never faded the slightest.
"Hello sir. It's nice to make your acquaintance."
Sheng Su gave a low hum in acknowledgement and then turned towards Meng Yi again. He didn't Plan on wasting his time on some random woman if he could spend it looking at the boy's face. But the youth didn't seem to plan on ignoring the girl.
Meng Yi walked up to the girl and placed his hand on her shoulder to encourage her to speak. He directed a soft smile at her before taking his hand back again.
Sheng Su watched their interaction with darkening eyes and clenched fists. It was just a short moment that Meng Yi's skin had touched that woman's shoulder but it was way to long for Sheng Su. He really didn't quite understand why such a scene irritated him so much.
"My father wanted me to intern at this company for a while. It was already approved by Sheng Rui, so I will be starting here tomorrow."
Fan Li placed a folded piece of paper on the desk. It seemed that his father really did agree to this but Sheng Su was reluctant to accept having her around.
"If my father already agreed I suppose there is no way for me to reject. Don't do anything overbord though. Come to late, laze around or annoy me with your presense and I will imidiatly throw you out.
Fan Li trembled under the harsh glare of Sheng Su and shrunk her neck back in fear.
"I-I-I.... ok."
Meng Yi saw Fan Li appearing like a newborn deer infront of an almighty tiger and couldn't help but worry. His hand stretched out again to pat her back while asking for her well being.
Sheng Su's eyes grew even fiercer until it seemed that they could drill right through the female's body. Soon the woman couldn't stand it anymore and ran out of the room.
"What's wrong with her? She was so pale. Do you think that she was sick?"
Meng Yi turned around to face Sheng Su again and their eyes momentarily met in mid air.
Sheng Su's breathing hitched for a moment and his heart squeezed in guilt from seeing the little ones conserned eyes.
"You don't need to worry about her. I bet she is alright. She bettet be. If she is even just a second late tomorrow...."
A wicked light passed through his narrowed eyes, giving of a dangerous feeling. Sheng Su didn't really care about that woman. As long, as she wouldn't get to close to his familys baby, he could ignore her existence. But for such treatment, she is already of to a very bad start.
