: PACTS AND FURY
UNKNOWN POV:
How dare he...?
How dare all of them treat me like a disposable rag that can be tossed aside whenever to their convenience?
How dare he pick her over me?
I am his fated. I am his mate, and not that good for nothing piece of trash of a human he fancies and now, she's a disgusting lowly Omega, and he still wants to be with her?
I won't allow it.
I won't allow a rat take what is mine, what is rightfully mine by birth. I was chosen first. We were meant to be together - I am his betrothed.
He should love me.
Not her.
Definitely not an omega.
I scream out just before kicking the door to my room open and stepping in. My rage is uncontrollable after hearing their conversation.
She deserves to be locked up for deceiving everyone, burnt at a stake if possible and yet, he was choosing to protect her ass.
What does he see in that bitch?
Why can't he see through her façade? Why doesn't he realize he's made for me?
I need to let my anger out, the pain in my chest from his betrayal.
I pick up my dresser table and toss it aside in my room, screeching louder than before, breaking the lamp right by my bed side while I throw a temper tantrum.
I pour my anger in my fists and punch a hole into the wall, then another one and another as the question keeps repeating itself in my mind.
Why her?
Why fucking her?
I had always stuck by his side, yet I was never an option for him. Even now, I refuse to shed a single tear over something that belongs to me.
I won't let her win. I won't let that omega bitch steal my happily ever after. I will make them all regret looking down on me.
I turn around, looking for something else to smash and see my standing mirror reflecting my image back to me. It shows my dishevelled strawberry blonde hair, my smudged make up.
I look like a mess.
Like a crazy chick
This is also their fault - they made me this way. They made me crazy.
I can hear the sounds of their laughter now, while they gather around making fun of stupid me, letting them walk over me. They're all ridiculing me - Freya and her obnoxiously annoying friends that think she's better than me.
I scream again just thinking about it, pulling hard on my hair, ruining it even more, because it's all their fault.
I want to wreck everything like they wrecked me, so I walk closer to the mirror, raising my fist to smash the image into a thousand pieces when something peculiar begins to happen and forms right in front of me.
It makes me pause, my clenching fists relax and drop back to my side as I take a step back, unable to believe my eyes.
A small cloud of thick black smoke bubbles up from nowhere suddenly and s seen only in the mirror.
I rub my eyes just to see if this is just an illusion and I'm already hallucinating, but the cloud doesn't leave my vision.
It grows even larger with flickering purple lights, like a small storm cloud with lightning.
"What the..."
An ominous face with smirking lips and hidden eyes forms from the clouds just as suddenly as the clouds themselves had formed, and I take another step back, not sacred, just curious.
"What the fuck is going on right now?" I say mostly to myself while I wonder if they've pushed me to the point of mania, cause none of this makes sense.
And then it speaks.
"I heard your call. I felt your burning rage and thirst for revenge your desire to make them pay." The cloud speaks.
I'm more taken aback, hearing it talk now in this mangled voice that needs a good cough to sound remotely normal
"W-who are you?" I humour it.
It's not like I have anything else better to do other than talking to my mirror.
His smile widens, even more sinister than before.
My instinct immediately screams danger; somehow, whatever is standing right in front of me was dangerous and pure evil and yet, a part of me felt called to it, to the power he exuded...
The kind of sweet power I wanted for myself.
"You may call me Wizard."
The name is instantly familiar.
Silas and Lucas had mentioned something about there being a Wizard. A whole bunch of baloney, but maybe there's some truth behind those words now. Before me stands the wizard they mentioned, the same one that had formed a deal with Freya, powerful enough to make her an Alpha...
I want that kind of power. "You said I summoned you?"
"I sensed your strong desire for power. I've never felt such a raw need emanating from someone, that alone helped me to form a channel, though weak, to you like this. Although we'd need to form a better bond, so I can be here without being detected by Darius." He casually mentions the Kings name. "You know the Alpha King?"
"We have a personal gripe. You want to find out more, so I need you to stretch out your hand and form a pact with me, and I will make her deepest desires come true. I will grant you the power to make them bow at your feet."
The smoke slowly extends from the mirror, forming a makeshift hand.
I see the way the cloud form almost glitches as though trying to maintain its existence in the mirror, so I know he can't stay long enough with whatever deal he's talking about.
I look at the hand, tempting me to take it. Just the thought of actually having said power in my hands, having all the packs under my feet and Silas by my side, getting rid of Freya and her band of friends that only stand as distractions.
I do not need a second more to think twice. If his request is real, I could have a dose of that dangerous power seeping through him.
I reach out and take the hand firmly, shaking it and staring back at the Wizard.
"I accept, only if you make me powerful."
As soon as I take the hand, the cloud image stops fizzling out and his form morphs from just a face into a cloaked figure standing in the mirror
"Perfect." He mumbles.
The shadow hand I've taken bursts back into thick smoke that crawls up my hand and forces itself into my nostrils while I unwillingly inhale it.
It feels like icky, sticky tar crawling around my head, putting thoughts that aren't mine but feel like they are, and wanders deeper in my mind.
A blood lust I had never had forms and I imagine conquering them all, simply by ending their lives - everyone of them.
Suddenly, I feel like myself but still not quite, like a darker yet more confident version with a strange sense of strength pulsing in my blood.
Once I stop choking on it, I look at my reflection and my eyes simply flicker a purple light before going back to blue.
"What did you do to me?"
"I gave you a bit of my essence and now, you are bound to me as I am to you as this deal is made. I will make your enemies crawl at your feet and in return, you will fulfil a favour - one simple favour for me."
He's talking cryptic but my initial fear of him is completely gone. Instead, there's a tiny voice whispering in my head to listen to him and give him what he wants, and I could have more.
My greed for more seems to have increased exponentially.
"What do you want?"
"I have some vendetta against the royal family. The
Bloodmoons. They betrayed me just as you were betrayed, since Silas is your birthright and they're taking him away from you."
"Freya..." I growl, remembering how badly I want to kill that bitch.
"Her as well. We had a deal and she couldn't keep the end of it. She couldn't appreciate the power I could offer her and so, I realized I should have chosen you, as everyone should have."
Deep in my mind, I know what he's saying is true, a burning fire of anger lights up in my heart and I know for a fact that I want nothing more.
I want to fulfil his wish and have everything to myself. This is my truest heart desire.
"So, you want the same thing I want."
"Yes, revenge. The only way we can do that is by getting a small artifact from the royal family for me. You will retrieve it."
Slowly, the image of a necklace forms in my mind without much of a hassle and I immediately recognise it as I've seen it more than a few times around King
Darius' neck.
"Deal." I agree without a second thought or uncertainty, being unable to doubt him.
Our vision is now one.
"Now, for the next agenda. We will pay a visit to our dear Alpha king. He needs to know what exactly is going on in his school."
