FREYA'S POV:
He's so close, and I can feel his breath brush my cheek lightly.
Discomfort is an understatement with the way my back is bent backward in an attempt to lean away from this stupid asshole.
I growl menacingly, shoving him away while I stand up on my two feet.
"Clearly, you're delusional. Why on earth would I fancy you enough to create the impression that I do?"
"You act like you don't want me and tease me purposely. I've noticed it since the first day you joined my class."
He goes on his feet as well, coming over to me despite how much resistance I give off.
The way he stalks slowly puts me on high alert.
"That could have just been me genuinely not thinking you're shit and trying to avoid you as much as I can."
"That's not possible." He chuckles like it's a joke, which it's not. "You love me."
He takes another step closer, and I growl more fiercely, baring my fangs at him.
This is just taking narcissistic delusion to another level.
Somehow, he's concocted this bizarre idea in his head that I'm in love with him when I can't even stand his presence.
"Take one more step and I will claw your eyes out." I threaten, getting ready to release them.
He ignores it, taking a step closer regardless.
"Enough with the games. You've got me interested, you can stop now?"
"I'm not doing anything. You're the psycho here!"
He sighs.
"Honestly, you'd be a whole lot attractive if you played less games. I mean, even dragging that Alpha kid to make me jealous? I'll admit, you get points for creativity and dedication."
I swing my claws, aiming for his face but he catches onto my wrist easily.
"How did you know I like my girls feisty?"
He licks his lips suggestively, pulling me to himself with enough force.
I crash into his chest against my will and try to struggle out of his hold, but he grabs me against him tightly.
"Stay still. If you really want a reward for such a good chase, you have to let me touch you." His words only sicken me more.
Bile rises up my throat as I struggle in his hold, but his grasp is far more stronger than mine.
My weak hands are no match for his strength.
The feel of his body on mine brings only the feeling of disgust and dread rising up in my chest.
He runs his fingers up my back and I recoil away from the touch, but his hands hold me down firmly.
"Stay still." He grunts from annoyance with my struggle.
I don't give up despite his stronghold.
He leans close with his repulsive scent that only angers my wolf further, being touched by his filthy hands and rubbing his smell all over us.
Just as his puckered lips are in good distance, I lean forward, biting onto his lower lip with my extended fangs and ripping the flesh off his lower lip with enough force.
He yells out in pain, pushing me backward forcefully. In the process, my back crashes onto the walls painfully.
He proceeds to shriek in horror at the unbearable pain and blood gushing from his face, pouring everywhere.
"FUCK! YOU BITCH!" He yells.
I groan in pain, rising from the floor as fast as I can before he tries to attack me again, dashing away from that corner.
As I walk into a much more open space, I notice the eyes all on me, watching with horror.
They had probably heard the screaming for sure.
Panic engulfs me with all the staring eyes, watching me closely, questioning horrified glances with an air of chilling silence even for a library.
I rush towards the exit this time, wanting to escape to anywhere other than where I am.
More eyes follow and watch before I force through the exit, running into a wall and instantly falling on my butt.
The emotions suddenly overwhelm me and tears slide down my eyes at my helplessness.
I could only do little while he... he forced...
Fuck.
More warm liquids of hate trickle down. I can't even say the words without breaking down.
"Freya?"
I recognize his voice immediately and look up.
"Silas?" My crying seizes instantly. "What are you doing here?"
He squats down to my level, going on one knee till we're both at eye level.
"Well, you said you is that blood?" His eyes slowly darken, focusing on my shirt.
I look down for the first time and see the blood stain on my milk white shirt.
I rub under my chin, feeling the now drying blood stain on my face.
So, that's why they were staring at me like that. I look like some cannibal.
Probably they think I attacked someone.
What if he spins the story around, making me look like some psychopathic bitch that attacked him out of nowhere?
There's no way anyone would believe me after seeing me like this and then, the obvious missing piece of flesh on his lips.
I'm screwed.
I panic in my own world when I feel the choking aura that pours out of Silas in raging torrents.
It's only then that I look at him again.
His eyes gleam gold boldly with a fiery intensity that frightens me. His claws are out as he growls inhumanely.
"Who did this?" He asks with an overpowering deep growl that clearly belongs to his wolf.
"Silas..." I stop, panicking about what could be and focused on him.
He's halfway close to transforming into his wolf right here in the middle of the hallway.
The hair on his skin slowly spreads over his arm and face, turning into fur.
"Silas, you can't do that here!"
"Who did this?" He repeats in a guttural growl, less human and comprehensible, thundering and echoing in the halls.
"It's not my blood."
I rub against the dried blood on my chin and pull on my shirt to show the lack of an injury in place.
"See? I'm fine. You need to calm down."
I can already feel the gathering students, peeking from the library entrance at the scene unfolding right in the middle of the hallway.
If I don't stop him right now, I can foresee a long list of injuries once his wolf goes on a rampage.
I can't tell everyone to take cover because I know damn well no one is going to listen.
Too busy watching the show I'm unfortunately putting out for them.
"Relax, Silas, I'm fine. Everyone's already watching us, so you need to relax." I lean close, whispering into his ears. The intensity of his aura begins to deplete despite his threatening eyes, so I know it's sort of working. "That's right. I'm fine. You have to relax and come back to me, Silas. Take control."
I place my hand onto his palm, patting gently on his warm skin and rubbing soothing circles till he stops vibrating in anger.
The hair on his skin goes back to the places it needs to be. His sharp teeth retract and his eyes slowly revert to silver.
I sigh in relief, relaxing my tense body. "You're back." I smile softly, unable to stop myself from holding onto his left cheek with my hand. Touching him calms my nerves more, pushing the initially pumping adrenaline down.
The watching crowd from behind begin mumbling even more than ever, unaware of the fact that I had just saved their asses.
He watches me without a smile or a frown, leaning into my touch. He looks cute as opposed to his other side I had just witnessed. Without another word, he slowly rises unto his feet, helping me up onto mine.
"Thank you."
Just as I'm caught up in being grateful, he picks me up like a sack of nothing, tossing me over his shoulders just like that.
"Hey!" I yell out, struggling against him but he secures me in place even with my protesting.
"I said, I'm fine," I yell out again, already giving up and fighting him.
At least he's calm and not going on a rampage.
He doesn't answer me.
Instead, he simply walks away with me dangling on one shoulder, leaving the spectating crowd in awe.
