"I am so ready for this." Rya said as we stood in the school's halls several minutes before the mass of students arrived to commence to school day. I told her that Leah was the one who told the Drama Club she had herpes and she freaked. She couldn't believe how Leah could be such a bitch either but, nevertheless, she now was way more onboard with the plan.
"Same." I grinned. We had the stacks of papers in our hands of Leah's diary. God, revenge tasted sweet, didn't it? We threw them around the halls, sticking them to lockers, plastering them to windows and classroom doors. No one was in to see us, so it was perfect.
"Urgh, I can't wait to see the look on her face!" she beamed. "You were totally right about her not being able to play with fire. This girl is going to get burnt to a crisp." She stuck a bunch of papers to the lockers.
I laughed and threw a few papers by the doors to the cafeteria. I looked back at my phone to check the time.
"Shit, we should get going. People will be arriving soon." We nodded and threw the remaining papers in the air, scurrying down the halls to act as if nothing had ever happened.

Laughter and mutters erupted in the halls as Rya and I made our way back into school half an hour later. Students with copies of Leah's diary in their hands, pointing and laughing, hands over mouths, whispering in outrageous gossips. It was a sight for sore eyes.
We made our way to class and watched the scene unfold further. We had yet to see Leah but the anticipation was too much to bare!
"Have you seen this?"
"OMG, I can't believe it!"
"I always thought she was a bit weird."
"What a creep!"
I listened to the gossips until the teacher came in, obviously confused and slightly flustered from all the mania going on outside but nonetheless, continued to shut everyone up and teach.
"Look at this." Rya whispered to me halfway through the lesson and shoved her phone into my palm. It was a video of Leah scurrying around the halls, ripping down the sheets with a face so red it could put my period to shame. She did not look happy.
Good.
"How long d'you think it'll be until Adam sees them?" she then asked me. Adam. For some reason, he had completely slipped my mind.
"I don't know." I answered and looked back at the board, the teacher was going on about something I seriously didn't care about and suddenly my mind came to a thought. "Shit, I have that Chemistry test today." Urgh, fuck.
"Have you studied for it?" Rya paused from gazing at her phone to look at my expression already projecting my answer.
"No, but how hard can it be? I've been tutored for almost a month now." And you still weren't understanding anything. Rya nodded and looked back at her phone with a grin. "Where did that video come from anyway?"
"Nikki's private Snapchat. Her and a few girls caught it on the way to class." Good old Nikki and her nosey ass.

Now, I would like to say the chemistry test went well... but it didn't.
I kept trying at every equation, but the damn things didn't make any sense. In the end, I had to give up because they pissed me off so much and just sat there, doodling pictures of butterflies in the corners of the pages. What? I liked butterflies. In Portuguese they were called 'borboletas'. The pronunciation of it made me laugh because it sounded so fun to say. Borboletas. Isn't that such a fun word?
After class, I went straight to the cafeteria to see my first sight as the one and only, Leah Kingston. If the dictionary needed pictures to define words, hers would be right next to 'humiliation' because the look on her face was priceless.
Everyone muttered and sniggered around her, so much so she stood in the middle of the cafeteria with no where to sit because everyone had blocked off seats to her. I smiled happily and walked to my table where Rya was already seated drinking a milkshake. My table was also full of chat about it. It felt so good to have that much power. Even thought no one knew it was me who crafted this scheme together, it still felt great. I knew how to play with fire. I knew how to play this game. Leah knew nothing, and I still ran this high school.
Adam walked in and immediately went up to Leah whose eyes were filled with tears. I knew it was all for show. Behind that innocent, soft face was a nasty girl who spread nasty rumours expecting not to get burnt.
Well, bitch just got burnt and it was smoking gold.
"WHO THE FUCK DID THIS?!" Adam erupted and the whole cafeteria went silent. "Hu?! Who did THIS?!"
Deafening silence cascaded across every tables, drowning each person in a harsh wave of stinging cold fear.
Adam always had that effect on people. As much as I was the queen of high school, he was the king. He had as much power as I did, he just didn't play dirty with it. However, everyone and anyone knew not to mess with him. Everyone but me. But I wasn't scared, not when he's fucked me with his SpongeBob boxers dangling at his knees.
"D'you think we're in trouble?" Rya whispered by my side.
I flipped my hair over my shoulder and scoffed, "Pssht, please. What's Adam gonna do? Give an empty threat with an angsty glare? I don't think so." I chimed, crossing my legs. "Besides, once he actually sees what's written on those papers, he'll feel like such an idiot for defending her."
I watched as Adam put his arms around Leah and guided her out of the cafeteria.
"OMG look at her!" one of the girls on my table laughed.
"She so deserves it for those rumours. Good one, Sienna." Nikki giggled.
Even after lunch, everyone was still talking about Leah. I didn't see her or Adam for the rest of the day until someone grabbed my arm, and I was met with the eyes of Taylor Vermont.
"What did you do?" was the first thing he said.
I pulled my arm out of his grip and glared at him. "What d'you mean 'what did I do' I did nothing." I sweetly smiled back. He wasn't buying it.
"Really? So, Leah magically loses her diary and suddenly its plastered all-around school and the girl that hates her the most has absolutely nothing to do with it?"
"Sounds about right." I clicked my tongue and placed a hand on my hip. "Why do you care? Don't you not like Leah just as much as I?" Taylor didn't exactly seem joyous when we last spoke about Leah, in fact, he called Leah a 'toy' if I remembered correctly.
"I barely know Leah well enough to form an opinion on her, but I do know that I want my best friend to be happy and, right now, he is and with her. Why can't you leave it at that?"
"Did you know she told Adam you and I slept together?" I finally blurted. Taylor stepped back; a surprised expression filled his face.
"She did?"
"Yep." I nodded. "And she told the whole Drama Club Rya had herpes." He knew how much he liked Rya. The comment about me and him sleeping together – which did not happen – would make him angry enough, but I knew this would tip him over the edge.
"Leah wouldn't do that –"
"You just said you barely knew Leah well enough to form an opinion on her, so why do you suddenly think you know her well enough to believe she can't be capable of something like this?" I crossed my arms and stared him down. Taylor was lost for words as he tried to jumble together a sentence but the expression on his face said it all.
"If you believe Leah on this because of Adam, you will be exactly what everyone already assumes you are, a follower – his follower. A second." If I knew one thing, it was that Adam was the top dog and Taylor was always stuck in second place. Second hottest boy, second most popular boy, had the second coolest car, and even though him and Adam were co-captains of the basketball team, he was still the second-best player. I knew he hated it.
He didn't say anything before I turned on my heel and left with a smirk on my face because I knew the thoughts of what I had just said, simmered in his mind like the start of a raging fire. I was good at observing people and seeing their weakness, it was what made me stronger. You always knew what people feared and desired. That was why weakness was always a thing I never wanted to show.
A hand caught my arm again and whirled me around.
"Taylor –" but I wasn't met with Taylor. I was met with Roman. I quickly scanned our surroundings to find us alone. Thank God.
"Where were you?" he snapped. Where was I? I cocked my head to the side in confusion. "Tutoring. Where were you?" shit, it's Wednesday.
I was supposed to have tutoring this morning and I completely forgot to cancel with Roman. Crap.
"Shit, sorry. I was busy, I forgot to tell you." He didn't look impressed.
"You had a test today, Sienna. I was going to help you study for it."
"You were?" I raised a brow in surprise. Wednesday was for... shit, what was Wednesday for? It definitely wasn't for Chemistry. But he was going to change it to Chemistry to help you. That was... sweet. Oh well, it's over now.
"Yes, I was, but you didn't show up." He huffed and let go of my arm.
"Look, I'm sorry. We can continue tomorrow after school. I was also thinking we could finish our little session from Sunday –" the ringing of his phone cut me off and I could only see the contact 'Dad' before he answered and pressed it to his ear.
"Hello?" I was ashamed to say I tried to hear what his dad was saying on the other line but only managed to pick up a bundle of rushed muffles. "Shit, I'm on my way." He hung up and stuffed his phone back into his pocket. "I've got to go."
"What was –"
"See you." He said before rushing off. What the fuck? Like that wasn't weird.
Urgh, whatever. This day was supposed to be great, and I wasn't going to let Roman ruin it.
