Williams didn't immediately deny it; instead, he forced a bitter smile. "Even if I like her, I'm not worthy of her."
"Crazy!"
Robert knew nothing about Zara's identity, so he gave Williams a disdainful look upon hearing his words.
"Sterling, we shouldn't rush into things regarding Alpha Anderson's matter. Why don't we go play for a few days first and think of a solution later?" Celeste leaned over to hold Sterling's hand, whispering softly.
"Yeah." After a while, Sterling gave a faint nod.
The next day, the sun was shining brightly. Zara and Jack arrived at the golf course early in the morning.
Jack wore a gray sportswear, looking vigorous and powerful despite being in his forties. The white hair on his head glistened in the sunlight.
The white of Zara's golf shirt was almost blinding compared to the muted colors of the surroundings. The shirt's conservative design did not detract from its ability to flatter her figure.
The shirt had half-length sleeves, just enough to reveal a slender, fair arm. Her pants hugged her legs, making them appear even longer. Her hair was tied into a ponytail, exuding a youthful and vibrant aura.
"You are different today, full of vitality."
"You are also full of vitality, and handsome too!" Zara gave him a thumbs-up.
The relationship between the two was like that of friends or even father and daughter, showing a natural affinity.
Jack chuckled softly. Although he was in his forty, his face had smooth lines, and his previous aura of youthfulness was still evident.
In the distance, two figures approached them.
Upon seeing them, Zara's brows slightly furrowed, and her smile faded away.
The people who came were none other than Sterling and Celeste.
Sterling wore dark blue sportswear, showing off his perfect alpha physique.
His face was calm, giving off an unrippled surface, and his features were immaculate, making him incredibly handsome.
Celeste's outfit of choice, a sports bra and shorts, left little to the imagination, showcasing her svelte legs and a section of her waist. She had pulled her hair into a neat bun, drawing attention to the graceful curve of her neck and collarbone.
Adding a touch of allure to her goddess aura, Celeste was indeed charming.
Zara only glanced at them before quickly turning away.
Sterling, however, stood still, not moving any further. His gaze fixed on this side.
"Alpha Anderson?" Celeste quickly recognized him and exclaimed in surprise.
After looking at Alpha Anderson, her gaze shifted to Zara.
Yesterday, Zara obtained the privilege of meeting Alpha Anderson. Today, she was accompanying him to play golf?
How could it be?
Even if the boss of Starlight Media had such a great influence, would he really let her accompany him to play golf?
Various thoughts flashed briefly in Celeste's mind, but she couldn't figure it out.
She was about to ask Sterling something when Sterling took the initiative to step forward. "Alpha Anderson, hello, I'm Sterling."
It was a customary greeting in front of an important figure.
Celeste quickly followed, catching up to them. "Alpha Anderson, I'm Celeste." She wanted to introduce her own identity and the dramas she had acted in, but she swallowed her words again, remembering what Williams had said.
Jack's gaze fell lightly on both of them, and he said, "So, you know each other?"
"We've met," Zara replied calmly.
She summed up her relationship with Sterling with the simple phrase "Yeah we've met."
Sterling's face scrunched up slightly as she furrowed his brows in thought. He suddenly felt uncomfortable.
After being mated for four years, were they only "met" in her eyes?
Jack didn't reveal Zara's true identity. Instead, he said, "Since you've met before, it must be fate. Alpha Ashford has come from afar, so let's me make a decision. Zara, replace me to be a good host to him."
Zara: "..."
She looked at Jack in confusion. Was he going to let her entertain Sterling and still make her accompany them?
"Alpha Ashford probably knows how to play too. How about a few rounds with Zara?" Alpha Anderson suggested.
Celeste was taken aback upon hearing this. So Alpha Anderson wanted Zara to play against Sterling? She looked at Zara again. Why was Alpha Anderson being so polite to her? They seemed to have an unusual relationship. Could it be that the CEO of Starlight Media and Alpha Anderson were very close?
Celeste naturally wouldn't think that Zara was the Thousand Faced Queen, and she kept speculating about the real owner of Starlight Media.
That man became more and more mysterious.
"Sure," Sterling calmly responded. His voice was steady, neither too fast nor too slow.
Zara didn't know what Jack was up to, but she didn't want to say anything more. She made a gesture to Sterling and said, "Alpha Ashford, please." Her tone was calm, as if they were merely acquaintances.
Sterling's brows furrowed again, but he didn't say anything. He followed her as they walked away.
Celeste watched the two of them leave, feeling a bit annoyed, but she also felt relieved that she finally had a chance to talk to Alpha Anderson. So she spoke up, "Alpha Anderson, how about we go to the coffee table over there and watch them play?"
There was a building constructed in a place with a good view, allowing them to see far and wide.
Jack didn't refuse and said, "Okay."
The two turned around and headed for the coffee table.
Meanwhile, Zara and Sterling arrived at the tee-off point.
The caddies were already waiting there.
Zara picked up a ball, placed it on the ground, assumed a posture, and swung her club, cleanly hitting the ball.
Seeing the ball fly high, Sterling's eyes flickered with surprise.
He didn't expect Zara to play golf, and she played so well.
Race cars, play golf...
After the bond dissolution, Zara seemed like a treasure box that had been opened, revealing layers of surprises with each layer uncovered.
"Alpha Ashford, please," Zara's voice came over, clear and bright, with a polite tone.
She smiled so perfectly, but it seemed as if her core had been forcibly taken away, and there was no trace of genuine emotion.
Sterling's heart skipped a beat, feeling uncomfortable.
He picked up his club but didn't rush to hit the ball. Instead, he looked at her and asked, "When did you learn to play golf?"
"A long time ago," she replied lightly.
"Why have I never seen you play before?" After being bond-dissolved for so long, he wanted to know more about her. "I've never seen you play with cars either."
This question made Zara's lips curl into a smile. She replied, "Pamela doesn't allow me to leave the pack house. Even if I wanted to play, I wouldn't have the chance."
Sterling: "..."
This was what Pamela meant, and he had never objected to it.
At that time, he never regarded her as family, so he couldn't be bothered to care.
"Besides, even if I played these things, would you even have had the time to pay attention?" She added another sentence.
The casual remark caught Sterling off guard and left him feeling winded, as if he had been punched in the back.
