Diana yelled Lyra so loudly, but she pretended not to hear.
She thought Lyra had been spoiled by Zara, and now the little pup had to start accepting discipline from the Ashford pack.
Anyway, they had installed soundproof glass on the balcony and were far from other buildings, so no matter how loud she yelled, no one outside could hear.
Diana finally found a place to vent her anger.
She reached out to poke Lyra's forehead, "You're not good at anything, you're really like your useless mother!"
Lyra's eyes turned red as she stared at her.
"See, you are so spoiled by Zara!" Diana pointed her finger aimlessly.
Because at before, Lyra was always afraid and couldn't look directly at her like this.
She twisted Lyra's ear.
After twisting it, she pushed the little pup against the wall, "Stand here quietly, or you'll starve!"
Servant Laura, stood outside the door, looking at Lyra being bullied like that, she could only shake her head and sigh.
But she was just a servant, she couldn't say anything.
It wasn't until the clock struck 11 o'clock that Laura finally breathed a sigh of relief and approached.
"Lyra, we have to go."
"Where are your going?" After punishing Lyra, Diana's mood had improved slightly.
Laura had been ordered to take Lyra away, the little pup had nothing to do here.
"The Alpha called and said I have to take Lyra to the gate, her mother is waiting." Laura quickly reiterated Sterling's words.
Diana really didn't like pups, she always wanted Lyra to disappear.
But in her heart, a sudden plot emerged.
Zara treated her badly, she wanted revenge too.
The highest method of revenge against someone is to cause pain to the person they care about the most.
Lyra is the person Zara cares about the most!
Thinking of this, Diana quickly ran up to Pamela, pulling the corner of her dress, "Mother, what is my brother doing? Lyra is our flesh and blood, how can we let Zara take her away!"
Pamela's face immediately turned sour.
"Does he not fear the gossip that will surely follow?"
Although she didn't like Lyra, avoid any gossips was the most important thing.
"Lyra is not going anywhere, she will stay at home!" She ordered.
"Oh..." Laura looked helpless, looking worriedly at Lyra, "Her mother is waiting outside, what if she come in and made trouble?"
"Bring her in, I will talk to her." Pamela said coldly.
Laura couldn't do anything else, she could only go outside to find Zara.
Zara's POV
When I walked in, Pamela was reclining on the chaise lounge.
Diana and Lyra were nowhere to be seen.
"Luna, Zara has arrived," Laura announced two or three times, but she didn't react.
She just waved her hand, dismissing Laura.
Laura looked at me with a worried look.
I nodded gently, making a gesture with my mouth that said, "I'm fine."
Laura then turned and left.
Pamela finally sat up straight, but she didn't look directly at me, just holding a cup of coffee in her hand and sipping it.
"Where is Lyra?" I, not in the mood for pleasantries, asked directly.
She frowned, angered by my intrusion. "Is this your manner, to enter my threshold without greeting me first?"
Ha!
An unmannered person teaching me about manners?
I felt as if it was incredibly ridiculous.
However, I had no intention of arguing with her.
No need.
I decided to comply with her wishes. "Luna Pamela, may I ask where Lyra is?"
Pamela gently pushed the lid on the coffee cup, blowing on the hot coffee before speaking, "Let Lyra stay here."
"At present, you are dating the owner of Starlight Media, it is not convenient to take Lyra with you."
"Furthermore, Lyra is a descendant of the Ashford pack, and my pack is capable enough to raise her, without interference from others."
Was Pamela trying to steal my pup?
A cold expression suddenly appeared on my tense face, my forehead wrinkling!
"Luna Pamela, I am not an outsider, I am Lyra's biological mother."
"Lyra is the pup I carried in my womb for ten months, it is natural for me to take care of her. Moreover, Sterling is about to mate Celeste, isn't he? How can I leave Lyra here and affect their relationship?"
I reacted fast, cutting off Pamela's words.
Tension quickly appeared on Pamela's pretended cold face.
But she was no longer someone I cared about, so whether she was happy or not was no longer important, right?
"Furthermore, when Lyra was at home, no one paid attention to taking care of her, perhaps because I didn't hold an official position."
"Now, Celeste has returned. Her position is undoubtedly higher, so it would be better for her to give birth to a few more pups for the Ashford pack."
My words were just the truth.
However, Pamela felt her pride being strongly violated, and she slammed her hand on the table.
The table shook slightly from the strong impact.
"Zara, do you really think I don't know anything about you? Even a fool can see that you cheated behind Sterling!"
"During your mating, you had an affair. If Lyra stays with you, she will only learn bad things!"
"My pack can never entrust my granddaughter to a she-wolf who lives without discipline!"
"The best thing for you is to give up custody of the pup. If you don't, it will be embarrassing for you to bring this to court!"
Ha!
Freya just wanted to prove that the chairman of Starlight Media had ended a mating bond, but I didn't expect Pamela to misunderstand it like this!
"Are you sure you have thought it through?" I didn't want to argue anymore, I just chuckled lightly.
Pamela raised the coffeecup, returning to the noble beauty of an aristocrat. "Please leave my pack!"
The beta heard the order and stepped forward, unwillingly looking at me with eyes full of sympathy, but could only say, "Miss, please leave."
I nodded gently towards the beta, then said, "Don't regret it."
I spoke softly, without any anger.
Pamela didn't have time to react, staring at my back in surprise.
"Why doesn't this she-wolf want to fight for her pup? Leaving so easily?"
Diana, who was hiding in the shadows, came out, looking puzzled.
She had intended to use this opportunity to cleverly mock me.
Pamela also didn't understand what I was up to, whether I was really want to reclaim Lyra or not.
Not understanding what was happening, a loud noise came from inside the room.
The pale-faced Laura rushed out, "Luna! Lyra heard that you wouldn't let Zara take her, she got furious, she broke... broke... oh, Luna, please come and see for yourself."
Pamela and Diana no longer cared about their dignity as they ran into the room.
In the room, Lyra had broken a flower vase and was still holding another vase in her hand.
That vase had to be auctioned to be acquired.
A vase worth tens of millions of dollars, shattered with a single swing of her hand!
Pamela couldn't breathe, her body trembling with rage.
Her finger pointed at Lyra, "You... bastard... pup!"
