The anger in Pamela's heart reached a point where she wanted to exclaim "shame," but I quickly stopped her with my words, "No matter what, I will never let Lyra stay with you!"
Pamela clenched her fingers under her sleeves, but couldn't capture anything useful, so she could only press the record button on her phone.
I noticed this small gesture and didn't expose it, only smiling faintly.
Then, I raised my own phone and said, "Pamela, regardless of Diana's intention to educate the pup, what about this?"
Immediately, a voice came from the phone.
"Don't think I don't know what you're here for. My brother has already taken the pup back. You want to get her back, don't you?"
"The bastard pup?"
"Yes, it's the bastard pup! No matter who you give birth to, they are all bastard pups!"
Upon hearing this conversation, Pamela's confident expression suddenly collapsed and became frozen!
I chuckled softly. "Well? If we combine this with evidence that Diana has been abusing Lyra, it doesn't matter whether we hand it over to the reporters or the police."
A smiling face but aching heart.
What had Lyra done wrong? Was she deserving of such scolding from her own relatives?
I walked out, wearing a gentle smile on my face.
I put a piece of paper in my pocket, bent down, and lifted Lyra up. "Lyra, let's go home."
Third-Person's POV
Seeing Zara taking Lyra away, Diana rushed in front of Pamela in a panic. "Mother, why did you let her take the pup away?"
"I can't let that bastard pup go. If she leaves, you..."
Before Diana finished her sentence, Pamela slapped her in the face.
"Mother, what do you mean?"
Not understanding why she was being slapped by Pamela, Diana cried out.
Pamela's face stiffened as she stared at Diana with a hateful gaze. "It's all for you! Zara forced me to sign an agreement to give up custody! Diana, you've done well!"
Pamela was not only resentful because she lost a granddaughter.
Her high authority had been violated!
For Diana, who didn't know how to assess her own intelligence, forcing Pamela to bow her head to Zara was the ultimate humiliation!
Diana felt pain and disappointment.
She put her hand on her face and ran into her room.
After entering the room, the more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
She jumped up and vented her anger on the pillow.
But no matter how much she threw the pillow, the anger in her heart didn't dissipate.
"That damn Zara!"
Thinking about Lyra and Zara's plan against her, the feeling in her heart ignited!
After the fit of anger subsided, she called Jenny, "Jenny, can you help me?"
She recounted all the injustice she had endured.
"As long as you can help me make those two suffer, I'll buy you the limited edition bag you like the most!"
Jenny was just someone who loved money.
Hearing her say that, Diana lifted her lips slightly, "That's simple. The best way to punish them is to separate them!"
"What could be more terrifying for a pup than being forced away from their mother at a young age like this?"
"For Zara, separating her from her mother is the most painful thing!"
"I know this is the best method, but the problem is that she forced my mother to sign the agreement, and now my mother doesn't dare to do anything to her!"
Diana was extremely tense, throwing the pillow again.
"Send me the agreement, maybe I can come up with a good plan for you."
It was the right time when Pamela was out of the pack house.
She ran into Pamela's room and saw the agreement placed on the table. She took a few pictures and sent them to Jenny.
Although she was in great pain over losing the money to buy the limited edition bag, the thought of Jenny helping her cruelly punish Zara and Lyra made Diana feel happy.
On the other side, Jenny finished the call and handed the phone to a person next to her.
The room was dimly lit, only the shape of the person could be seen.
Menacing and cold.
"My love, the way you strike is truly ruthless." Jenny's voice was sweet, but it could be seen that she didn't come up with those ideas herself.
It was all this Alpha was doing.
Even the idea of sending information about Starlight Media's boss having an affair was his idea.
The corner of the Alpha's lips emitted a slight and cold smile.
"Just like last time," he said.
His voice was gloomy and low, carrying a hint of eerie and disdain.
Jenny understood right away, he wanted her to send that agreement to Celeste's mailbox.
She sent it as requested, and she sneered, "My love, why do you care about Diana's affairs? Do you like her?"
"Like her?" The Alpha's eyes were expressionless, looking at her dark lips, emitting a cold, gloomy light!
Then, he said something unrelated, "She's just a pawn of mine."
"Sterling, did you really give up on Lyra?"
In the banquet hall, Williams and Sterling sat facing each other.
He asked.
Sterling held his glass of whiskey, looked down and drank, his expression cold and indifferent. "Not giving up, just letting her take her away. Lyra is still the flesh and blood of the Ashford pack!"
This last statement was enough to show his standpoint.
He couldn't give up on Lyra.
Robert, sitting to the left of Williams, was not satisfied, "Why not leave the pup with the Ashford pack?"
"In the future, I will re-mate, and if it's too involved with Zara, it wouldn't be fair to my future mate."
After speaking, his gaze turned to Celeste, who was sitting nearby.
Celeste was engrossed in her phone, seemingly lost in thought.
Once their eyes met, she suddenly realized and shook her head as if wanting to say, "Don't speak of Zara like that, isn't she dating the boss of Starlight Media? It indicted Zara deserve everything..."
This statement caused Sterling's face to suddenly tighten, his appearance becoming hard to look at.
Robert coldly exclaimed in disdain, "That she-wolf only likes to have Alphas surrounding her! She wants everyone to abandon their mates, jobs, everything, and be involved with her!"
"I think you have a misunderstanding about Zara." Celeste maintained her disagreement with Robert on her beautiful face.
"By the way, I heard from Diana that when Zara took the pup away, she made her mother sign a permanent agreement to give up custody."
In fact, Celeste didn't know the information from Diana, but from an email she received from someone else.
She just wanted to make Sterling feel that she and the Ashford pack had a good relationship.
After finishing speaking, she didn't forget to reveal the image of the agreement she had captured, "This is what Diana sent me."
Before she could finish, a hand swiftly snatched the phone.
It was Sterling who took it.
His long finger scrolled on the screen, his face growing even more ominous!
In the blink of an eye, he stood up and quickly left!
"Sterling!" Robert called out to him, standing up wanting to stop him.
But he had already gone far.
Robert could only glare in dissatisfaction at Celeste, "Celeste, what did you do in the end? Why did you help Zara talk!"
"I just spoke the truth." Celeste feigned an innocent expression.
"You're really..." Robert felt truly heartbroken, filled with anger, unable to say a word.
Williams always watched from afar with a cold gaze.
