The female fan's swaying body froze in place upon hearing these words.
Her hand instinctively went to touch her face.
After all, she was a delicate and beautiful young she-wolf. How could she bear such a gruesome death?
Seizing the opportunity while she was stunned, I rushed forward and held her waist tightly, pulling her back.
With the help of Freya and Marcus, we managed to bring the female fan to a safe place.
After comforting the female fan for a while, she was led away under Freya's arrangement, rubbing her red and teary eyes.
In the room, only the three of us were left.
Marcus rubbed his hair in frustration.
He had just taken a shower and came out to find a female fan in the room.
And to make matters worse, he was caught in the act by Sterling.
He couldn't describe how frustrated he felt.
I walked over and squeezed his shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll find a way to handle this, and it won't affect you," I reassured him.
"No need, Zara," Marcus spoke up. "I hate being manipulated the most. Sterling is trying to pressure you through me; he must be dreaming."
"I happen to be tired of being a live streamer and decided to go back home to inherit the billions of my pack family's assets, and I'll be much more comfortable!" Marcus's pack background was excellent, but he had some conflicts with his family and didn't want to take over the pack family business. Instead, he thrived in the live streaming industry.
"Don't talk nonsense!" I naturally knew he wasn't telling the truth.
"Don't forget, my company relies on you to carry the main weight. If you leave, am I supposed to drink the wind?"
For someone to achieve Marcus's level in live streaming and product sales, it was far more profitable than inheriting the family fortune.
A good live streamer can easily surpass the total offline sales of a certain industry in the entire territory within minutes.
"Don't worry, I've already taken care of Sterling. Just focus on your live stream and stop overthinking," I assured Marcus.
Upon hearing that I had dealt with Sterling, Marcus still looked worried. "Zara, you didn't agree to any unfair terms with him, did you?"
"No, I didn't," I replied.
Marcus wanted to ask more, but I had someone change his room for the night.
"Get a good night's sleep and be full of energy to make money for me tomorrow!"
Under normal circumstances, Marcus would have cracked a few jokes, but tonight his mood was not good, so he just nodded and left.
Once we were alone, Freya asked anxiously, "Is everything really resolved?"
I naturally wouldn't hide anything from her, and I shook my head.
"What should we do then? If Sterling can come up with such schemes, there's nothing he can't do."
"Don't worry," I reassured her with a soothing look. "Although I can't resolve this issue myself, there are people who will take care of it for me."
If my guess was correct, the figure I saw in the corridor earlier should be Celeste.
If she was clever enough, she should know what was best for her.
I chatted with Freya for a while. Considering the possibility of malicious people seeing and spreading rumors about the female fan, Freya decided to stay in the hotel for the night.
I walked out alone.
Just as I reached the elevator, a graceful figure appeared.
The person was dressed in all black, with their head and face well covered.
However, I recognized her at a glance—it was Celeste.
Celeste calmly entered the elevator with me, and it was only after the elevator doors closed that she spoke, "Miss Zara, can we talk?"
"Sure."
After we descended the stairs, Celeste led me to a dim and deserted corner before turning around.
She removed her sunglasses, revealing a beautiful face.
"I've already resolved tonight's matter for Miss Zara. Considering I helped you plead with Sterling, I won't pursue it any further," Celeste said.
As I had anticipated.
After she finished speaking, she fell silent and merely glanced at me over her sunglasses.
A faint trace of superiority flickered in her slightly raised eye.
My gaze was indifferent, showing no sign of surprise or gratitude that Celeste might have hoped for. I simply responded with a calm "Oh."
Celeste couldn't help but sneer.
With a graceful figure, she took a few steps before stopping again.
"Oh, by the way, Sterling has a bad temper. Miss Zara, it's better if you don't appear in front of him in the future."
I chuckled disdainfully.
Since the moment of our bond dissolution, I had already removed Sterling from my world. How could I even think of appearing in front of him?
Just now, Celeste had been waiting for me to thank her, and I had noticed it.
I didn't express gratitude because it was unnecessary.
Firstly, though she had only helped Sterling back then, without saying those things, Celeste would have been kicked out of the company long ago, losing her glamorous position.
Celeste also owed me a thank-you.
Furthermore, Celeste's willingness to speak in front of Sterling wasn't for my sake but rather for her own.
In the end, Sterling had to cut off all ties with me and Lyra for Celeste to live happily and freely in that household.
I had not left home for long when my phone started ringing.
It was Lyra calling.
Being out so late, the little one was worried.
I hurriedly reassured her with a few comforting words and said, "I'm on my way back now."
As soon as I finished speaking, my arm was suddenly grabbed, and my whole body was dragged into the darkness.
