                    Aria’s POV
In that very moment, the rage and hatred I felt for him burned hotter than anything else.
My shaking hand reached into my pocket, and my fingers closed around the small blade I always carried for protection.
Without thinking, I pulled it out and drove it into his chest!
“Go to hell, you fucking devil!” I cried.
He returned a cruel smile, like he couldn’t even feel that knife stab.
“Didn’t I tell you already it’s impossible to hurt your Alpha?” he teased.
Then he grabbed my waist and yanked me against him.
“And if I’m going to hell, you’re coming with me,” he growled in a raspy voice.
Before I could scream at him again, he threw me over his shoulder and leapt off the boat. I wanted to scream at Damian to stop hurting Zane, but I wasn’t given the chance.
Back at the shore, Grayson’s men had already surrounded May and my grandmother. Each one of them was heavily armed. They were holding guns against them.
“No. No, no—you can’t—Don’t hurt them!” I clutched Grayson’s sleeve, my voice shaking. “They had nothing to do with this. Let them go!”
“Start with the younger one,” he said coldly, ignoring my plea.
A soldier raised a gun at May’s head.
She clapped her hands over her mouth, tears spilling down her cheeks as she trembled quietly.
“No!” I screamed.
“Tell me you’re sorry for betraying me. Tell me you regret it,” Grayson said, eyes fixed on mine. “Swear to the Moon Goddess you’ll never, ever break our contract again.”
“Fuck you…”
“Then say goodbye to your best friend.”
His gray eyes lacked any human feeling. I couldn’t believe this was the same man who once pulled me out of the darkness.
What stood before me now wasn’t human.
He was a monster—and he was actually going to pull the trigger.
“Kill her,” he ordered.
“NO!!” I shrieked.
May burst into sobs at the same time, her cries slicing right through my heart.
“You know what you need to say to have her live,” he pressed.
Tears blurred my vision as I choked out, “I’m sorry…I’m sorry I betrayed you Alpha Grayson. I shouldn’t have run. And I swear to the Moon Goddess—I won’t… I won’t ever try to leave you again…”
“And Zane,” he snapped, tightening his grip around my waist. “Say you’ll never see him again!”
“I’ll never see him again,” I whispered in tears.
I didn’t mean a single word of it.
What he did had destroyed everything I once felt. There was no love left in me. Only fear and hate.
He probably knew that. But he didn’t care.
He didn’t want love anyway. He just wanted a plaything to toy with.
“Good,” he said.
Then he suddenly let out a howl that shook the earth.
His limbs stretched, black fur spreading across his body, and his muscles flexed. He shifted, turning into a massive black wolf.
The moment he did, his Alpha aura swept across the clearing. Everyone around us dropped to their knees, intimidated, including me.
The huge wolf loomed over me. This wasn’t the gentle wolf from my dreams, the one that always laid with me on the soft bed of pine needles. No. This one was a terrifying beast, growling deep in its throat.
Then it clamped its jaws onto my clothes and threw me onto its back. With a powerful leap, it took off like a shadow streaking through the forest.
“Swear you won’t hurt May or my grandma again!” I yelled against the wind, clutching at his fur.
Yet the black wolf didn’t answer. He just ran faster.
He carried me out of the woods, up the mountain trails. Even the steepest paths felt like nothing under his paws. We were getting farther and farther from civilization, far from anyone who could help.
Eventually, he reached a wide clearing on the mountain top and threw me down onto the thick moss.
It was so quiet out here.
The only sounds were the wind, the mountains, and the gurgle of a stream nearby. Not even wild animals could be heard.
We were completely alone.
He shifted back into human form. Completely naked now since his clothes were gone from the shift.
Sunshine shone on his perfect body. He looked godlike.
He knelt in front of me and slowly wrapped one hand around my throat.
I trembled, gasping for air as I stared back at him. A terrible sense of dread crept up my spine.
“You need to be punished for what you have done,” he murmured, brushing his thumb across my lips.
“No… no, you can’t… You promised…”
“I’ve made you too many promises,” he whispered, his voice dark. “And gave you too much room. That must’ve made you think you had a choice.”
I screamed and kicked, trying to get away. He caught my ankle and dragged me back. I was pinned to the cold ground underneath him.
He tore my clothes. I tried to kick at him again, but he was too heavy on me. He moved his hand to my breast and started stroking my nipple. His burning hand scorched my skin, his pine scent smothering me.
I couldn’t think straight with his scent all around me.
I moaned, wiggling involuntarily as he held me down. His breath immediately became fast and rough.
“You’re wet.” he whispered into my ear.
His hand went straight between my legs, his finger slipping into my panties and felt my entrance.
My body had betrayed me.
My underpants were already soaked.
“No...” I whispered, trembling. I could feel we were losing control. Fear seized my heart.
“Stop saying no to me,” he growled. He kicked my knees apart and settled between them. His huge penis throbbed against my entrance.
“You don’t even like me! Why—Why do you have to do this to me!”
“Because you are mine,” he answered darkly.
I screamed, struggling, but it didn’t stop him.
Without warning. Without any sort of foreplay. He thrust his huge cock into my virgin pussy.
