When he saw me,he rushed up with a bright light in his eyes.
"Sharon,I finally found you!Are you alright?"
I replied coldly,"I'm perfectly fine as long as I don't see you."
His expression darkened.Then,he eagerly presented a painting to me."This is for you."
I glanced at it.It was the same painting he had extravagantly bid for with blank check bidding,only to give it to Jennie back then.
Thomas spoke earnestly."Sharon,I got the painting back for you.Can we please make up?"
This man,who always thought so highly of himself,was now swallowing his pride to make peace.
To be honest,I was surprised.
Still,that was all I felt.
I looked at him with amusement."Thomas,do you really think we ended up like this because of a painting?"
Thomas added,"Of course not.I know you still resent Jennie."
"I've already fired and blocked her,forbidding her from approaching the villa.She won't bother you anymore."
"And your sister,Yolanda.I admit I once loved her very much,but that's all in the past."
I detected a hint of something else in his words."Are you trying to tell me that you love me now?"
Thomas pursed his lips,seeming to find it difficult to admit.
After a moment,he nodded firmly.
"Yes.I don't know when it started,but you entered my heart.It's my fault for realizing it so late."
As he said this,I genuinely felt disgusted.
However,he remained oblivious and continued.

"Thomas,listen to me clearly.The grievances between us aren't just about you hurting me because of my sister."

Thomas was taken aback,then guiltily looked away.

I took a step back with distaste.
"Belated affection is worthless.Stop disgusting me!"

People were coming and going at the hospital entrance.His loud voice drew the attention of passersby.
Someone recognized him and surrounded him,mocking him.
"Wow,what drama is this?A scumbag trying to repent?"

If it were in the past,Thomas would have been angry and used his power to teach people a lesson.
But at this moment,he didn't even refute.
As for me,I only felt embarrassed and quickly got into the car.
