When Yuki said the end of the day he meant the end of the day.
Yuki had watched as students talked about their afterschool activities. Some were in clubs, others were planning on hanging out or just going home.
Must be nice having someone to wait for you...
"Yuki, It's time for me to leave." Suzuki- sensei said almost above a whisper.
"Already? Well, I guess this is a final goodbye." Yuki smiled.
This person had been the only one to actually believe him from the staff about his troubles he'd been having for three years now... She was the mother figure in his life he'd never gotten or will probably ever have.
"Please keep in touch will you?" she asked hopefully.
Obviously...
"Suzukei-san, did you know that I got recommended into U.A. by the one and only Recovery Girl?" he smirked turning away from the window to see her face still processing the question.
"U.A. ... Recommended...what... WHAT?!"
Biting his lip to control his laugh he watched as her face became something he hadn't seen. A face with excitement, shock, bewilderment, and relief.
"You...Recovery Girl.... You're going to U.A.?" she stuttered as tears began to build up.
She felt relief to know that he would at least be fine. One day he would be happy with his life.
"Y-Yuki-kun," before he could react she jumped towards him with a hug. "Thank goodness. I'm so happy for you, Yuki."
Yuki stiffened at the sudden hug and wave of feelings crashing within him.
It's warm... Hugs are nice...
After Yuki allowed Suzuki to cry and say what she had in mind (granted he could only understand a few words) they said their last goodbyes for the time being and she went home.
As he walked through the now empty halls of school he glanced around noticing he didn't have a single happy memory about this place. He didn't know how long that hole on the wall in class had been there for, or if it was there before this year. He didn't know the names of the students who had been assigned to sit next to him. This wasn't the place where he had discovered himself like so many girls have said out loud in class to their friends. Socializing? Yeah right.
He had only discovered things he actually enjoyed after he had been excused for two week from school because of an injury. He only had the social skills he had because of the volunteering he had been doing for years now.
He didn't owe anything to this school.
Walking into class he noticed the Principal at the teachers Podium looking at the empty hall class.
He didn't owe anything to this school...
But he was glad someone tried for him.
"Yo, Principal" Yuki greeted casually.
"Tch, trouble some brat," the old man crossed his arms.
"Why the long face? You must be relieved I'll be out of your way!" Yuki teased packing up his stuff that managed to be untouched.
Thank god for Japan
"You have been difficult to deal with," the Principal acknowledged. "But you were one of the top students regardless."
"What? Are you gonna hate to see the school's score drop?" Yuki scoffed, slinging his school bag over his shoulder.
"That's not it," Yuki sighed walking to the back of the class. "You're a smart child. Given your circumstances and history-"
"That shouldn't matter whether someone is smart or not." Yuki interrupted.
"You're a smart child and I'm afraid you'll find yourself on the road of wasting your potential." the old man looked at Yuki.
"You mustn't let circumstances define you in any way. Even towards yourself. You must continue to grow-"
"To keep going. Yes, I know." Yuki smiled looking down at his shoes.
"You know after all this time I would have thought you'd known that this is nothing but a bump on the road."
Yuki sighed rubbing the back of his neck, "Listen, old man,"
"Old man?!"
"Don't worry too much about me. I'll be fine. Suzuki- sensei knows what I'm talking about so ask her tomorrow or something."
Walking towards the door he sent the principal a half assed waved, "Take care, see ya around."
Yuki didn't bother closing the door.
He was too busy feeling a bit happy that at least two people in this entire school were looking after him. Even if it hadn't felt like it at first.
I'm glad they tried...
The sun was still out but there wasn't exactly anything to do with his time. He didn't have homework...
Which meant he could plan out his days with no worries-
U.A. exam.
"Shit." Yuki grumbled annoyed. "I still need to study for the entrance exam."
The walk home was surprisingly quiet.
"I'm home," he announced to the empty house upon entering.
"I got kicked out of school, but I still need to study for the entrance exams for U.A." removing his shoes and placing them neatly to the side.
"Maybe I'll buy some pudding to celebrate." he grinned.
At any inconvenience or announcement of any sort he's always looking for an excuse to buy that delicious pudding from a small cafe that, in his opinion (and it was law his opinion) was the best around in Mustafa.
"Maybe I should eat out today," he told himself upon opening the fridge to see it empty.
"I need to have groceries delivered again?" Yuki exhaustedly complained.
"But I did that last month!"
Closing the fridge he then peeked into the cabinets.
Empty. Empty. Empty. Empty. Empty. Empty. Em-
"Why is everything empty?!" Yuki shouted at no one.
Walking to his bedroom he began to make note of what he needed to buy, what things could be delivered, and what he could buy and how much he could buy without his arms falling off.
"Can't wait to get a car..." Yuki cried as he sat at his desk and make note of his groceries on a notebook.
"Heavy stuff for delivery." he chewed on the pen cap.
"Snacks I can buy tomorrow, I'll need to get some sun every now and then since I won't be going to school..." he mumbled listing around twenty types of snacks.
"Veggies and anything fresh, I need to go myself..." he sighed at the thought. "They're at a discount on Tuesdays so I need to do that tomorrow after 2pm."
Looking over his list he frowned, "I need to buy half of these today. No way will I be able to carry all that."
Yuki ripped the page out carefully before getting changed.
It was a 10 minute walk to the convenient store he preferred to go to which was only 2 minutes. Only in desperate times would he ever go in there.
Clutching onto his reusable bag, he swiftly got out of people's way who were in a rush to get home.
"Welcome!" the cashiers shouted. Yuki only nodded, grabbing a basket.
He headed straight for the snacks section.
He quickly grabbed what he knew he liked and shoved them into the basket before heading to the canned food section.
"Are all those for you?" a deep voice caused him to look up to a tall, sickly, old looking man.
"T-they're for the next two months..." Yuki explained nervously.
Yuki decided to leave the canned food for another day and walked to the school supplies section instead.
Why does he look like he's about to die?! He shouted internally. Should I ask if I could heal him? Would that be rude? What if that's just how he is?
Yuki grabbed two packets of black pens and went to get a bottle of cola.
Yes, he had to have his body in top condition but he was still a teen. He needed some sugary things every now and then. He convinced himself.
Strawberry, orange, lemon, lime- What's the difference between them? And normal cola....
Hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Recalling the ones he's tried before and didn't like he chose the normal cola. His basket felt heavy and no doubt it would have been heavier had he chosen to buy the canned food.
"Will that be all today?" the nice lady behind the counter asked upon placing his basket down.
"Yes, I'll be paying with a card." he told her.
This was the reason. The reason why he liked this convenient store even if it was passed by two other ones. They took card payments.
He wasn't about to carry his three wallets to buy Snacks of all things. Nope. Too much weight and anxiety came with that.
"Thank you young man," the gruff voice caught Yuki by surprise again.
His clothes are so baggy! Sir! Are you daijoubu?! SIR?!
Yuki bit onto his lip to refrain from going ballistic at the man's sickly figure...
A scream was heard in the distance but Yuki didn't mind it. These types of things usually happen often in the city.
"Normally someone would come right away. There are tons of people around who don't know what to do with their quirks. There's no end to them."
"You're amount is-"
"There is an end." Yuki looked towards the exit where the sickly man was once now stood All Might. "Why?"
Huh?
"Because I'm here!"
EH?!
