This Doctor was beginning to push his buttons.
"Sir, it's almost 7pm--"
"You'll rest when I say you rest."
Yuki could physically feel his hands wrapped around the man's throat.
Oh how Yuki wanted to strangle this petty man-child.
Earlier, after having his hour break be interrupted 10 minutes in, Yuki had accidentally eavesdropped in on a conversation between him and another doctor. It was then Yuki learned how petty the man was.
"Can you believe this kid acting like he knows everything?"
"Is he really?"
"Yeah, all because he has a stupid healing quirk."
"So he can just heal everything?"
"Yeah, from the work I've been giving him he's been able to heal everything."
"At this rate you might even get some time off." they laughed.
"Right? I've been piling on my work and anything that'll take me more than 10 minutes to deal with."
"Won't you get caught?"
"Please." The Doc scoffed.
"He's only here for two days. I'll use the 'It'll toughen him up' excuse like usual."
Yuki was definitely going to write a report on the man to Recovery Girl. Not his boss, no. Too easy. Recovery Girl. The woman who's been working years more than the Doc's boss.
If he couldn't get enough evidence for whatever he wanted to call this, he could certainly get evidence of working more than the nurses.
"Come find me after you're done here." Another folder was handed to the boy.
"Yes, sir." Yuki could feel an eye twitch coming.
His patient was a five year old with a mild fever. Nothing to worry about at that stage.
"Yuki-kun! They asked us to send you over to Hosu Gen. Hospital now!" a nurse shouted as she held the phone to her chest.
"Now?! Or Now in an hour!?" Yuki shouted back a reply.
"Now now!"
"Is Mister Yuki going to help other people now?" the child Yuki was currently overseeing asked.
Yuki looked down with a small smile. "Yes, Sadly Mister Yuki needs to go now. Do you promise to take your medicine? No matter how nasty and icky?"
The child let out a toothy smile,"Pinky Promise!"
"Pinky Promise." Yuki smiled, wrapping his pinky with the childs before heading out.
"Tell Doc he'll be hearing from his boss and Recovery Girl!" Yuki pointed to the first nurse he saw.
"Y-yes!"
Yuki made a quick detour to the Staff's Medical beds where they were allowed to catch some sleep to pick up his things.
"See ya!"
Almost immediately Yuki realized just how apocalyptical the horizon was looking.
"Is Hosu that way?" he pulled out his phone and sure enough, the hospital who was asking for him was in that general direction.
"Great. Just fan-fucking-tastic, it's 1 hour and 22 minutes walking!" Yuki groaned in annoyance.
"And they want me there soon." he clicked to see if there were any forms of transportations and sure enough.
"Currently out of order. Should have guessed."
Yuki fixed his backpack and costume case in a way so his arms were free.
"Alright. It also said it's a 30min bike ride so maybe I can sprint it."
Yuki made sure to stretch properly.
Wouldn't want to pull a muscle on my way.
"Let's aim for 35mins. It's 7:24." Yuki stared off in the direction of his destination.
"Let the incident be under control as I pass."
Was want he mumbled, before beginning his 6.7 km run.
"AH! HA!" Yuki huffed hands on knees, catching his breath.
"It's-- Whoo~! It's 7-- *Cough* *Cough* *Cough* 7:48!" Yuki then bent over to cough some more.
"Holy Shit!"
There were more obstacles than Yuki had(n't) planned for but he made it.
With Wobbly legs, drenched face, and loose strands of hair sticking to the back of his neck and forehead he walked towards the Emergency Room.
"Are you Caladrius?! A nurse asked as soon as he walked into the emergency room.
"Yes!"
The nurse quickly shoved a folder into his arms and turned him towards a hall, "There's a police officer waiting for you down the hall, make a left on the first turn head towards the end of the hall, there's a staircase going down on the right, then make another right. Third to last door. Hurry!"
and with a push he was now going from speed walking to a light jog.
He was sweaty and his legs were shaking. He hadn't eaten in over 15 hours. He hadn't even had enough water for the day.
But he had a patient to tend too.
Following the instructions he managed to somehow run into a police officer half way there who thankfully led the rest of the way.
"Caladrius?" another officer asked which Yuki pulled out his U.A. student I.D. along with the lanyard Aizawa had given him and firmly nodded.
"Yes, sir."
"Caladrius-san, get ready for surgery." a doctor spoke up, gloves, masks and eyewear prepared. "Yes!"
Yuki quickly slid off his belongings and placed them in a corner. He opened the folder and the name Hero Killer caught his eye.
"Hero Kill--"
"Hero Killer is your patient, yes." an officer interrupted.
Yuki only nodded and continued to read over the things already noted.
After the operation he finally manages to catch a break. The amount of damage the man got was incredible.
What else was incredible was the amount of time it took to get him in a stable condition.
"Caladrius-san, you're welcome to use the Staff beds if you like. I heard from a friend of mine you've been working the entire day."
Yuki was currently sitting, eyes closed and head tilted back. "Yeah...what time is it?"
"It's close to midnight."
"...Midnight..."
"...Y-Yeah..."
"Where can I get food at midnight?" Yuki almost whispered.
"Well, there's a place two blocks away--"
"I think I'll just sleep first." Yuki sighed.
His legs felt like noodles. His head and eyelids felt heavy. His shoulders were stiff. He hadn't showered in two days let alone get the chance to brush his teeth.
Last time he ate was back at the Children's hospital during dinner before leaving early in the morning with no breakfast. He'd been running on three sips of coffee before the man-child called on him.
He had to focus longer than what he was used to, and that's saying something.
His fingers felt like dough.
"Do you have a shower?" Yuki asked.
"There's one in the Staff's room. Do you need help--"
"I'll be fine. Just give me five minutes to push myself off the chair." Yuki chuckled.
Yuki couldn't remember when he finally made it to the staff's bedding area. He didn't even remember going under the covers.
He looked around squinting to see through the darkness.
"It's almost noon." a groggy voice spoke.
"Thanks." Yuki replied before flopping back into bed.
My hair isn't oily so I must have taken a shower.
Yuki ruffled his hair a bit.
"Get up." He whispered to himself and with a whine he did.
"Already heading out." the groggy voice asked.
"I need to eat."
"Crap I need to do that too."
Yuki was dressed in casual attire with his white doctor's coat over. If he wasn't wearing it along with the Special ID for him he'd have to pay for his meals at the Hospital's cafeteria and could potentially get kicked out.
At least I'm getting fed.
Yuki sat at an empty table near the vending machines. He was having about three different packs of onigiri, some strong tea to get his brain functioning again and an apple.
"Chicken goes first." Yuki went to open the onigiri packet but was interrupted by his phone.
"Why~" he whined pulling it out from his pocket.
It was a message from Recovery Girl basically instructing how he would be staying there for the day until the following morning before heading out again.
"Are you Satori Yuki?" a voice interrupted as soon as Yuki was about to take a bite of his onigiri.
"Tch." Yuki frowned, placing it down. He looked up and saw a man with a dog head and suit.
"Who's asking?" Yuki grunted.
"I'm Police Chief Tsuragamae Kenji woof. I was told you helped in Stains Surgery woof."
Yuki leaned back and crossed his arms as he eyes both the Chief and a police officer behind him.
"Yeah, what of it?"
"We've come to have you sign--"
"If you want me to be quiet about the incident don't worry about it. It's my job to heal anyone who needs it." Yuki waved him off picking up his onigiri.
Going in for the bite that's been interrupted too many times already.
"Are-- Are you not aware of your classmates? Woof?"
Yuki paused.
Mouth open.
Onigiri waiting to be eaten.
Stomach still empty.
He glared at the Chief.
"My Classmates...?"
Stress.
That's what was going to kill him.
Either kill him or get him to kill someone.
Which ever triggered him first.
Not only had the police Chief interrupted his sad excuse of a meal, he also managed to put him in an even more irritable mood.
"This tea is no longer strong enough." his eye couldn't stop twitching. "Pathetic."
He wasn't told which classmates of his were behind the incident Endeavor was taking responsibility/credit for but with the injuries he'd seen on Stain just hours ago and with the knowledge of who was interning where--
"Geez! Can't even take a break away from them OUTSIDE of school." Yuki growled biting onto his apple.
"Yuki?" Yuki opened his eyes and glanced over to the boy who needed no friends.
"Todoroki?" Yuki asked before letting his head fall to his hands.
He wasn't ready to deal with them but a part of him needed to.
"Is Midoriya here?" his voice muffled.
"Yes."
A sharp breath was inhaled.
"Is Iida... here too? By any chance?"
"Yes. How did you--"
A suppressed scream was exhaled.
Todoroki took a step back, surprised as Yuki then clamped onto his dark brown locks.
He didn't know what to do. He was confused. He was slightly scared at the noise Yuki had just let out. And he was sure he probably shouldn't have said any of what he said.
"Todoroki-kun." Yuki calmly spoke.
"Y-yes?"
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to buy some drinks." he replied slightly pointing to the vending machine a little ways away.
"No. Not that. Why are you in the hospital?" Todoroki didn't know what to say. He couldn't see Yuki's face since he was still hunched over and gripping his hair a bit.
"W-we got injured." he stuttered.
"I'm asking how, Todoroki." Yuki sighed.
"T-the Hero Killer, Stain. He g-got us."
"Really?" Yuki replied with the most I don't believe you voice.
"Y-yeah." Todoroki clearly didn't pick up on the tone.
It felt like a long time of silence as Todoroki waited for a reply.
He really didn't know what to do. Should he continue to get the drinks he was sent out to get or should he head back to the room and say it was out of order to get out of Yuki's presence.
He didn't know.
"Do you mind me joining you guys for a bit?" Yuki spoke up, now looking at Todoroki with a close eyed smile.
Believing the sweet smile of Yuki's Todoroki blindly agreed.
"Oh, Todoroki-kun! I was just telling-- EEP!" Midoriya shrieked upon seeing Yuki following in.
"Y-Y-Y-Y-YUKI- KUN!!"
"Izuku~ How odd to see you here~?" Yuki smiled stalking gracefully towards Midoriya's bed, a drink in hand.
"Y-Y-Y-Yeah! H-H-How O-O-ODD!" he smiled nervously, voice slightly cracking.
"IIDA-KUN! It's so weird seeing you here~!" Yuki greeted clapping his hands together.
"Yuki-kun, it's nice to see you..." Iida replied, unsure of what to make out of Yuki's expressions and Midoriya's.
"I just ran into Todoroki! He was telling me how the THREE of you were injured by the Hero Killer."
"Y-Yeah..." Midoriya confirmed slowly moving to the side of his bed furthest from Yuki.
"You know! I was rushed over here from the other side of the city to help out with a patient. He looked pretty beat up." Yuki nodded sadly, slowly taking a seat on the freckled boy's bed.
"He had pretty severe Second Degree Burns." Todoroki flinched.
"Seven broken ribs." Iida stiffened.
"And his face was pretty beat up as well." Midoriya's cold sweat intensified.
"Do you have any idea who I might be referring to?" Yuki sweetly smiled, swinging his legs.
"N-Not a clue." Iida stuttered.
"Hmmm? Well, I'm sure the officials already gave you quite the scolding but," Yuki quickly pulled out his hair tie from his hair and shot it towards Todoroki, hitting him dead center of his forehead.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!"
Yuki had a headache.
The amount of yelling and trying to comprehend the stupidity of dumb, dumber and dumbest was too much.
He didn't have any siblings so he didn't quite understand what Iida was trying to do.
He didn't have a life changing friend you'd drop everything for and go to like Todoroki did.
And He sure as hell didn't have the blindly jumping into a fight like Midoriya did.
"I'm going to die of stress." he groaned, flopping down onto one of the beds in the Staff room.
"Same." a muffle voice replied from somewhere in the room.

        "Sir, it's almost 7pm--"
"You'll rest when I say you rest."
