"From the reports the staff have turned in, I'd say you've done much better than expected. You seem to handle children better than most of the nurses. They favored you far more according to the reports." Recovery girl smiled, flipping through the pages and reading from her own note she wrote down.
"Well, I worked a lot more often at children's hospitals and small family clinics." Yuki explained bashfully.
"And it worked to your favor as well, young man! Well done, well done!"
"I'm glad you approve, Sensei." Yuki's chest swelled in pride.
"I heard from Aizawa that you'd be training with him daily from now on, correct?"
Yuki nodded. "Yeah. I was told you'd be alright with it--"
"Oh I am! You need to rest after doing so much for me these few months." Recovery Girl waved him off.
"Thank you. I should probably get going, can't have Aizawa-sensei waiting on me."
"Right. Of you go then."
School had let out a couple minutes ago. He'd made sure to let Aizawa know he had to report to Recovery Girl before he could head over to training. Aizawa had given him 20 minutes to hurry up and meet him out in the field.
"Aizawa-sensei," Yuki nodded at his homeroom teacher who stood there waiting.
"Satori."
"It's nice to finally start actually training..." Yuki commented.
The sleep deprived man nodded in agreement. "Too many things have been happening."
"Yeah..." Yuki sighed, stretching his arms lazily. "So who else is going to train with me?"
"I'm sure you'll recognize him."
"Him?" Yuki tilted his head.
A couple seconds passed and a boy with dark bags under his eyes, messy wild purple hair, and and awkward posture stood before Yuki.
"Oh! You're Shinso!" Yuki recalled.
"Y-yeah..."
"This is Satori Yuki, the hero student I mentioned you'd be training with."
"Nice to properly meet you." Yuki smiled.
He'd been warry of the boy at first but it was mainly due to the fact that he'd been placed under the boy's quirk.
"Shinso Hitoshi."
"Let's get started. I'll go over your stats first then do a bit of light training to see where you're both at." Aizawa looked over the clipboard.
"Shinso, you don't really have anything going for you other than brain power. Physically, you're a clean slate. Any history of previous workouts?" Aizawa asked.
Shinso shifted awkwardly, "No, sir."
"It'll be easier that way. Satori on the other hand..."
He flipped to the next page. Yuki assumed, to his stats.
"You have a pretty good endurance, great reflex skills, flexibility, and agility. Add that with your quick thinking it's almost good enough to just focus on that."
Almost...
"So on top of further improving in those areas, I'll add more training to get your physical strength up to par."
"Y-yes, sir."
Yuki could feel his future self laying in bed with sore muscles.
I'm gonna need to order packs of ice...
"Let's get started."
"W-what--*gasp* part of that *wheezes* was light?!" Yuki layed on the dirt trying hard to catch his breath.
Nothing about a 4 mile run, 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats, 200 lunges, 4-min plan--
"AH! I haven't been this tired in a while!" Yuki gasped.
"I- I think I'm going to die..." Shinso's breathing is also heavy.
"Not a bad time." Aizawa commented noting their time on the clipboard.
"Can we know our time?" Yuki asked, sitting up slowly.
"No. Training with me will be in the mornings, make sure you're at least 10 min before 5am. After school training will be up to you two. You're welcomed to train on school grounds or at gyms. Just know there will be days where your workouts might not be together. Discipline is key for these cases. Because we're doing this to improve as much as possible, training will be packed. I'll be present for the first week of your training to make sure you have proper form. After, follow the regime to a T. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Sir!"
"As for food and dieting I'll be handling that as well. I'll see you two at 5am."
And with that Aizawa left the two scrawny noodles laying in dirt. Drenched in sweat and still struggling to catch their breath.
"Is he always like this?" Shinso asked softly, clearly feeling the early effects of a sudden workout.
"Yeah. At least we won't be getting expelled." Yuki chuckled.
Shinso sighed.
"I'm sorry about before."
"Before?"
"The Cavalry."
"Oh. Right, don't worry about it." Yuki smiled standing up before offering a hand down to Shinso.
The purple haired boy could only stare at it in disbelief before clasping his hand.
"In the future. I'd like a heads up if you wanna use your quirk on me." Yuki told him, pulling his fellow training buddy up.
Shinso chuckled. "Sur--"
"The after effects threw me off a bit for the rest of the day." Yuki added dusting off his gym clothes.
"After effects?" Shinso frowned. He'd never heard of his quirk leaving after effects.
"Yeah, my head was clouded much more than Ojiro's and Aoyama's. The other two you brainwashed."
"...I'll keep that in mind." Shinso agreed. His quirk had never caused any after effects like Yuki said he had.
"Satori--"
"Call me Yuki. We'll be seeing each other through hell every day after all." Yuki smiled.
They began their trek back to the school building.
"Yuki." Shinso tried out the name.
"Then I guess you can call me Hitoshi."
"Hitoshi...Let's try to keep each other from dying, Hitoshi-kun."
"Y-yeah..." the purple haired boy stuttered.
As promised, the next morning Yuki and Hitoshi were on time and waiting out in the field.
"I think we should stretch." Yuki yawned.
Hitoshi returned the yawn and nodded.
A couple minutes later Aizawa emerged with a two piles of papers in each hand.
The one on his left looked a tad bit bigger.
"Morning. This will be your training regime until I see visible improvement. Mornings will be split in half. First it'll be the workouts 5am to 7am. Then from 7am until 8am we'll practice using the capture scarf." Aizawa droned, clearly having missed or hasn't taken his morning coffee.
Aizawa then proceeded to hand the thicker of the package to Yuki and the other to Hitoshi.
Oh sweet honey iced tea...
"You have five minutes to look over it and stretch before we begin."
The boys began to stretch as they stared down at their training.
"Aizawa-sensei, will we be using the weights and the bars too?" Yuki asked.
"Yes, on those days training will take place in one of the school gyms."
"One of them? There's more?" Hitoshi asked, looking over to Yuki who just shrugged. Looking as confused as he was.
"Forest? We're training in the forest too?" Hitoshi asked with a raised eye-brow.
"Oh my-- Is this parkour?!" Yuki explained. Just slightly distressed.
"Is there a problem?" Aizawa shot back.
"Um-- Well-- Not really... just-- There seems to be seven listings of it. Does that mean we'll be doing these every day unlike the others?" Yuki smiled nervously.
"I only have it for Mon, Wed, and Fri." Hitoshi commented.
*sobs*
"There's your answer. Let's start with the first thing for today."
"So much for resting, according to Recovery Girl." Yuki groaned.
"I forgot to ask but... what's your quirk?" Hitoshi huffed.
Both boys had an arm on the other for support. They had thirty minutes before class started.
In Yuki's opinion, that wasn't nearly enough time for them to take a quick rinse in the boys lockers, change, and then walk up three floors, each having two sets of stairs.
"Healing...I feel like I'm gonna puke."
"Don't, I don't want to throw out this shirt."
"...We should pick up the pace."
"But my legs feel like spaghetti."
"We're gonna die aren't we?"
"...Probably."
