Yuki didn't have the strength he had at the beginning of the day to carry three bags.
Two of them were obviously his but the bag Recovery Girl had so graciously packed was too heavy.
"I don't want to make 2-3 trips...." he told himself, looking down at the bags.
Yuki kneeled down in front of them and proceeded to place the bags on himself tactfully.
"By the power of Grayskull!" he grunted, pushing himself off the ground a little too hard. Almost toppling backward had it not been for someone he couldn't see stop him from falling.
"Thanks!" Yuki cried, not bothering to look who it was, running inside as quickly as he could before the short spike of adrenaline flopped.
"Move! Move! Move!" Yuki cried, running past the boys who stood to the side and let him rush past.
Running into the boys' room he let himself get crushed with the bags on the floor.
"Are you alright, Yuki?!"
A muffled 'I'm fine.' wasn't as reassuring as it was supposed to be.
"Thanks for the food!"
Yuki made sure to chew his food carefully. No matter how hungry he was, he wasn't about to die from eating dumplings.
Chatter filled the room as dinner took place. Something Yuki wasn't familiar with at all.
"Are you just going to eat that Yuki?" Ashido asked, looking at his small portions. "Well--"
"No! No! You have to eat more before it's gone!" She told him before pilling up the slices of meat.
"Ashido--"
"Call me Mina! Here, have some more." She placed a piece of meat on top of his rice.
Yuki stared at it.
"Thanks." he smiled nervously, unsure how to eat everything on his plate.
Sure he was hungry but the speed his classmates were eating at made him feel almost... too nauseous to eat.
"Oi, Raccoon eyes, are you a grandma or something?" Bakugo, who Yuki hadn't really noticed was sitting across from him, told her.
"What?! Of course not!"
"It's fine." Yuki told him. "I just might not be able to finish all this, Mina."
"Then can I have some of it?" Tsuyu asked from his left.
Yuki slid his plate to her, "Sure, pick out what you want."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"Anyway, today's the only day we'll be doing stuff for you, so eat as much as you can." the nice cougar lady informed them.
"Thanks!"
It was the time Yuki dreaded most of the entire trip. Sure he dreaded Aizawa's training. But what he hated most were wandering eyes.
He wasn't ready to take a bath.
I should wait...so that I'm the last one in and last one out.
"Satori, are you not going to take a bath?" Aizawa asked, peering into the room that was empty other than himself.
"Y-yeah! It's just...I'm not used to communal baths." Yuki told him.
It was partly true.
Aizawa's senses picked up on something.
"Do you have a tattoo?"
"Huh...? No? No! I don't have a tattoo." Yuki eventually strongly denied.
"Have you been to a communal bath?" Aizawa asked.
"I-I have. A long time ago..."
Aizawa knew parts of Yuki's history. But they were just bits and pieces of a puzzle. The most he and Nezu had been able to dig up on him were medical records but nothing as to what caused him to be going in and out of the hospital before his volunteer work began.
Yuki felt Aizawa probably wanted him to answer and give him a reason why but he just wasn't ready to share, let along know.
"You have permission to take a bath after everyone is out." Aizawa told him before leaving him be.
Yuki nodded and softly thanked him.
"Oh, Yuki! We were wondering where you were!" Sero called out to him.
Yuki had taken the time to wait out his classmates by setting up his sleeping area and arranging his clothes for the following days.
"I was just organizing the supplies Recovery Girl prepared. Feel free to let me know if you need any patching up." Yuki told them.
Most of the boys were already heading back to the room or they were getting their sleeping area ready.
Yuki nodded to himself as he grabbed his clothes and quickly walked to the baths.
It's empty. It's got to be empty.
Yuki wrapped a towel around his waist and peeked into the baths before slowly going in. Closing the door as softly as he could. It made him feel like a peeping tom going into the boys baths but it was necessary. For him, it was.
Not hearing or seeing anyone he let his tense shoulders relax.
"I should get a bucket." Yuki told himself before going into the hot springs.
Grabbing a bucket that looked relatively unused he retired to the hot spring and casually let himself submerged up to his nose.
"Who still uses a bucket?" a voice scoffed.
Yuki snapped his eyes open. Almost standing up but remembered he wasn't fully covered.
"I thought it was empty." Yuki simply replied, keeping himself submerged.
His heart banging against his chest and ears it was hard to hear what they said next.
"I can see why you try so hard to hide them." the water rippled, and from the other side of the hot spring, stood Bakugo.
"What's it to you." His face hardened.
"Nothing." the blond replied before stepping out of the hot spring and taking his leave.
"Don't you dare say a word." Yuki warned.
Bakugo grunted, "It's none of my god damn business."
But it's hard to ignore.
Yuki sat in horror in the hot springs for who knows how long. No one other than his guardian had seen him since that day. No one.
"Dammit!" Yuki hissed tossing the bucket against a rock, destroying it.
Angry at himself and his mistake of lowering his guard he dove into the hot water. Staying there until he couldn't hold his breath.
When he came up for air he couldn't tell if it was hot water stinging his eyes or if they were tears.
When Bakugo made it back to the boys' room Yuki was in his futon. He noticed the uneven way the healers body would jerk when breathing.
He'd been crying.
Bakugo wasn't usually one to sleep late but after what he'd accidentally seen in the hot spring, he needed fresh air and a long walk.
He laid on his futon and stared up at the ceiling.
Trying to recall the incident which had caused even his mother to warn him about sick bastards. There had been someone his age who had been caught up in that ordeal but no name or face had been revealed for their security and safety.
When it was over the nation had let a collective sigh of relief.
It could be him...
or it really must have been him.
No.
No!
NO!
STOP!
PLEASE!!
"AHHH!" Yuki jolted up, screaming from his futon, gasping for air.
"What!"
"What happened?"
"It's too early..."
"Sorry guys..." Yuki cleared his throat. Trying his best to control his breathing.
"I thought I felt a spider."
"Oh...It's cool man" Kirishima yawned, curling back to sleep.
Yuki looked over to the window. It wasn't too dark out, meaning it was very much early morning.
He knew he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep so he took the time to get up early and get ready.
The sun was peeking just barely over the horizon when Aizawa came out.
"How long have you been out here?" he asked.
Yuki played with the strands of his hair before shrugging.
"A while."
Aizawa didn't push further.
He'd heard the scream earlier.
"They'll start coming out in 10 minutes."
"Okay."
"Today, we will begin training camp to increase your strength in earnest. The goal of this training camp is to increase everyone's strength and with that, for everyone to obtain their provisional licenses. It is to prepare you all to face hostilities that are becoming more real by the minute. Proceed carefully." Aizawa told the class.
The majority of them, still clearly exhausted from yesterday.
"So, Bakugo," Aizawa tossed him the ball from the fitness test they'd had on day one.
"Try throwing that. Your previous record, from right after you started school, was 705.2 meters. Let's see how much you've improved."
"Oh, we're checking out progress?" Mina exclaimed.
"Since a lot has happened these past three months, huh?" Sero added.
"Maybe he can throw it a kilometer or something now!"
"Do it, Bakugo!"
Yuki didn't plan on letting what happened last night at the hot spring haunt him for the rest of the week.
"Then...Here I go... Go to Hell!"
Yuki closed his eyes as the gust of wind hit his face. The smell of an explosion present.
"709.6 meters."
Yuki opened his eyes to see a conflicted looking Bakugo.
"Huh? It's less than I thought..."
"It's been about three months since you started high school. Through various experiences, you all have definitely improved. But that improvement has mainly been at the mental and technical levels, with some increase in stamina." Aizawa told them.
"As you can see, your Quirks themselves have not improved that much. That's why we will work on improving your quirks starting today." a taunting grin on his face.
He's including me as well right...?
"It'll be so hard you'll feel like dying,"
Iida, Uraraka, and Mirodiya glanced over to Yuki as they recalled how painful it was to even look at him the past month and a half.
"But try not to actually die..."
Class B watched in terror as all of Class A suffered collectively.
Many cried out in pain. Others let out cries as though they were warriors charging into war.
1. Bakugo Katsuki- plunge both hands into boiling water to expand his sweat glands and create explosions continuously to increase scale of attacks.
2. Todoroki Shoto- Alternate between ice and fire to make the temperature of the bathwater uniform. Train his body to adjust to freezing and have him try to control temperature with flames. (note: might increase possibility of using both quirks at the same time)
3. Sero Hanta- Produce tape continuously, increase capacity, improve tape strength and shooting speed.
4 & 5. Kirishima Eijiro and Ojiro Mashirao- Have Ojiro use tail to hit Kirishima with Hardening activated, increase strength and hand-to-hand combat
6. Kaminari Denki- Run electric current through a large capacity battery, train body to handle large amounts of electricity.
7. Koda Koji- increase reach of Anivoice, do vocal exercises, build up vocal cords
8. Aoyama Yuga- Train body to handle Navel Laser for continuous use and increase range even w/ stomach pains.
9. Tokoyami Fumikage- train to keep Dark shadow under control even when going wild in the dark.
10. Uraraka Ochaco- Turn continuously in zero gravity, semicircular canals in the inner ear, decrease nausea.
11. Iida Tenya- Doing long training runs to increase leg strength and stamina.
12. Asui Tsuyu- Train all muscles on the body and long tongue.
13. Yaoyorozu Momo- eating while using quirk to amplify creations, shorten the amount of time needed to make things.
14. Jiro Kyoka- Increase quality of sound, strengthen earphone jack.
15. Ashido Mina- create acid, increase skin durability
16. Trash- increase strength of scalp
17 & 18. Hagakure Tooru and Shoji Mezo- have Shoji create multiple Dupli-arms to look for Hagakure
"What the hell is all this?" a student from Class B asked.
"Those of you who are operative types will have to raise you maximum limits." Vlad explained.
"Heteromorphic types and other composite types need to train the parts of their body related to their quirks. Normally, this would occur as your body grows...but we don't have that time." Aizawa took over as he approached them. Yuki followed behind.
"Class B needs to hurry up too. But once we join, there will be forty in all."
"Then what is he doing?" a student pointed at Yuki.
Aizawa looked back at Yuki before replying.
"He's been honing his quirk for nearly 10 years. He knows the intricacies of his quirk by memory. Today is his rest day."
"Can just six people manage the quirks of that many people?"
"That's why they're here." Aizawa told them.
"That's right! The four of us are one!"
Yuki's eye twitched as the pussycats did their little intro. Any other day he wouldn't have ignored them but today he just wasn't having it.
"All power-up types, come to me!" Tiger called out. "Tiger's Bootcamp has already begun!"
"That's so obsolete! Now, hit me with what you've got!"
Yuki watched as Midoriya's arm glowed before throwing a punch. Tiger dodged gracefully and returned the punch, sending the boy flying and crash against a tree.
"You're still pretty lively! That means your muscle fibers haven't been ripped apart yet!"
"Yes, sir..."
"I can't hear you!"
"Yesssir!"
"It's 'Plus Ultra' right?" Tiger threatened. "Then do it! Give me 'Ultra'!"
"YESSIR!"
"U.A.'s busy, so it's hard to spare staff for just the first years of the hero course. Based on their track record and wide range of Quirks, these four are the most logical choice to train your quirks in a short amount of time." Aizawa informed Class B.
Their faces filled with determination.
"Don't fall behind Class A!" Vlad shouted. "Let's go, Class B!"
"Yes, sir!"
Yuki continued to follow Aizawa around for the rest of the day. He didn't know why Aizawa wanted him to come along when he could be inside reading, studying, working on something... anything.
"Tomorrow we'll focus on your control with the capture weapon. We'll start with incorporating your agility."
"Yes, sir."
Aizawa stopped walking and watched as Iida ran past them.
"I read over your analysis on the class."
Yuki nodded.
"I also heard what happened this morning."
Yuki stayed quiet.
What was up with so many people getting on his case.
"Satori--"
"Aizawa-sensei, I'd appreciate it if you didn't dig too deep." Yuki interrupted.
Taken aback by Yuki's tone and facial expression he pushed a bit more. Curious.
"Is that a threat?"
"No." Yuki shook his head. Feeling a bit conflicted and humorous in the situation.
"It's just a warning. Or just a safety hazard."
Aizawa watched the boy shrug, he wasn't sure either.
"Either way, for the sake of our peace in mind...
Two of them were obviously his but the bag Recovery Girl had so graciously packed was too heavy.
"I don't want to make 2-3 trips...." he told himself, looking down at the bags.
