Aizawa didn't bring up the topic again for the rest of the day. And he hoped he wouldn't for the rest of the school year.
"You're free for the rest of the day."
Without hesitation Yuki nodded and was headed back to the building. Where he would distract himself from everything and everyone with books.
Yuki placed his notes down, looking out the window to see the breathtaking colors of a sunset.
"I should go check on them." he whispered. Putting his things away before going to join the rest.
"Now remember what I told you all yesterday?" The blonde with blue hero suit cougar, Yuki found out was Pixie-Bob, spoke.
"Today's the only day we'll be doing stuff for you." she repeated.
"At least make your own food! Curry!" Ragdoll added.
There were tables laid out in the front with many ingredients and utensils for the students to use.
"Yessir..."
Yuki felt a tint of guilt for not having the exact same schedule as them for training but quickly dismissed it since he would be joining them the following day.
"You all look exhausted!" Ragdoll laughed, "But that doesn't mean you can make any old sloppy cat food!"
That is very true... I think this is where Iida comes in...
As if on cue, "Let's make the most delicious curry in the world, everyone!"
"Okay..." the group groaned in pain.
"I don't think it has to be the most delicious, Iida-kun." Yuki interrupted.
"Yuki!"
"Yo!" He smiled.
"Must be nice to have a rest day..."
"Yeah it was, I'm still going to help you guys since nutrients are important."
"Todo! Mind lighting up the fire!" Yuki pointed to the fire grills.
"Sure."
"Todoroki! Can we get fire over here, too?" Mina shouted, clicking the tongs repeatedly.
Yuki turned to a group of Class 1B who were standing around rather awkwardly.
"You guys!" they jumped at the acknowledgement.
"Yes, sir!"
Yuki paused a bit, "Um...you could help wash and peel the potatoes."
"YES!"
"LIKE I WOULD, SCUM!" an explosion followed.
"Bakugo! Stop using your quirk to light up the wood!" Yuki scolded from two tables across.
"Oh~ Yuki-kun! You know how to cook?!" Uraraka asked as she watched him stir the caramelized the onion.
"Yea, I lived alone for...five years now?"
"Wow~ I'm also living alone at the moment. I can't remember how many times I've burnt my food." She told him.
Yuki chuckled, "It takes practice. I think it's about time to start adding the vegetables."
"Thanks for the food!"
Yuki made sure to grab his serving last. He hadn't done much for the day and didn't have much of an appetite at the moment.
"Oh! This is better than I expected!"
"It's so good~"
"It reminds me of my grandma's cooking!"
Yuki went to sit next to Tsuyu who was happily eating her meal.
"Yuki, what did you put in here?" Uraraka asked, eyes watery.
"Eh? Just some spices..."
"But how come this pot of curry tastes better?!" a voice exclaimed.
After dinner it was the same thing as the first night.
Yuki waited until everyone was gone from the hot springs to go in.
He'd noticed Bakugo standing in front of a bulletin board on his way. But thankfully no one seemed to be in there time around.
When he finally did make it back, the boys room was a mess.
Where the night before everyone had claimed a spot and were neatly laid out evenly Now...
"What the fuck happened?" he whispered.
The purple turd was wrapped in a futon.
Someone's butt was in the air. Head under stacks of pillows.
Many laid across three separate futons?!"
"They should at least cover up." Yuki sofly sighed.
He'd set his bed before heading out and it appeared to have stayed untouched by the chaos he missed out on. So before he went to sleep he went around and made sure they at least covered up. Otherwise they risk becoming idiots by catching a cold in summer.
Day 3 came...
And five of Class A were on a different level of exhaustion. Having Aizawa for their extra lessons and all...
"I told you it'd be tough. You're not just trying to improve your quirks. Above all, you need to work on the weaknesses that were exposed during the final exams!"
The group finished.
"Think carefully about why you're more tired than your classmates before you move."
"Y-Yes, sir..."
True to Aizawa's word, the entire class where now doing training Yuki might have or might have not suggested.
Yuki turned to see Iida not only just sprinting everywhere at full speed but also managing through an obstacle course.
He seems to be doing pret--
Iida lost his footing, crashing against a boulder.
H-he's fine.
"Satori!"
"YES!" Yuki replied, facing Aizawa.
"Let's get started." He went to unravel a bit of his scarf.
"Yes, sir!"
"No."
"No."
"Not quite. Focus more on how you're maneuvering it. You're giving it too much motion."
Yuki's hands hurt from clutching onto the fabric. But he needed to get better at this.
He ran towards Aizawa for hand to hand combat. Aizawa blocked and dodged many of Yuki's efforts to strike.
"Good."
"It's no good if I can't land a hit!" Yuki latched onto his teacher's arm but before he could do a follow up, Aizawa beat him to it. He was pushed away, staggering to keep his balance.
"Your movements are quick and precise," Aizawa complimented Yuki. Giving him a chance to catch his breath.
"But?" Yuki huffed, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"They lack impact and power."
"AH!" Yuki cried out, catching his classmates attention.
Aizawa smirked, "Might want to start carrying a separate weapon."
"A weapon?"
"Yeah, judging from your hero costume it could be something compact." Aizawa offered.
"Compact..." Yuki closed his eyes, brainstorming.
"Like a...pole?" he went to look at Aizawa but was met with a fist instead.
"Don't forget you're still in training." Aizawa smiled.
"Sensei!" Yuki cried out, holding onto his cheek that would surly stay bruised for the rest of the week.
"Get up. We have a lot to get through."
"Tonight, we'll have a test of courage with the classes pitted against each other!" Pixie-Bob announced. "After training hard, you can play hard! The carrot and the stick!"
"May I be excused from the test of courage?" Yuki asked Aizawa.
"You didn't have a choice to skip it. You still have the extra lessons with the other four." Aizawa sighed.
"Oh."
Yuki was in charge of actually making the food. The rest helped set up the table and prepared the ingredients to use.
"Bakugo, You're really good at using a knife! It's unexpected..."
"What do you mean, unexpected? How can you be bad at using a knife!"
"There he is. We haven't seen the capable version of him in a while."
"BAKUGO! Don't look away while your using the knife!" Yuki shouted before taste testing the food.
"I can do whatever I want! I'll close my eyes if I want too!"
Yuki simply ignored him, scrunching up his face.
"It needs somethi--"
"Yuki."
Todoroki was standing next to him holding up his thumb that was bleeding.
"Yuki--"
"No."
"I haven't said anything."
"I see you got a small cut."
"Yeah, I was wondering if you cou--"
"Nope."
"I didn't finish. Could you hea--"
"No."
Todoroki then turned to the freckled boy who was carrying over the vegetables.
"Midoriya, Yuki won't heal me."
"Yuki-kun why won't you heal him?" Deku asked cautiously.
Not even sparing them a glance the healer began to empty the vegetables into the pot.
"He didn't come here to make friends. Friendship is a way of networking, I'd say you should think before you say something to someone you first met, Todoroki-san."
Midoriya tilted his head before turning to Todoroki "What is he tal--"
"That was on the first day of school." the duel haired boy explained.
"Yet first impressions sure stay don't they."
"Satori, hurry and heal him already." Aizawa sighed, having overheard the conversation.
Yuki turned to give a face of betrayal to Aizawa. Aizawa returning his look with a pointed one.
Yuki held out his hand to the boy with friends who then placed his hand on the healers.
"For the record I'm only healing you this time because it's an order." Yuki joked.
"Then what should I do next time I am?" Yuki glanced at Midoriya before glancing back at the simple minded boy.
"I was joking, Shoto. I'll heal from now on."
Upon finishing Yuki sighed and nodded. "That'll do. So much for having friends huh?"
"I guess so."
With that Yuki returned to finishing preparing tonight's dinner.
"Now that we've filled our bellies and washed the dishes! Next is the--"
"We're gonna do the test of courage!" Mina cheered. Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari joining in.
"Before that, it pains me to say this, but the extra lessons groups will be having class with me now." Aizawa rained down on their celebration.
"You've gotta be kidding me!"
"Sorry."
Yuki chuckled. Aizawa now has a hold on the four with the capture weapon.
"Your training during the day wasn't good enough, so I have to use this time."
Excuse me sir. I believe getting the air struck out of my lungs was enough.
"Give us a break!"
"Let us be tested!"
"Aw, we wanted our courage tested, too..." Mina whined, still being held hostage by Aizawa.
"Didn't she say there was a carrot and a stick? Where's the carrot?" Kirishima complained.
"I'd even take a salty licorice...give us a treat, Aizawa-sensei..." Kaminari pleaded.
"Salty licorice if delicious." Aizawa shot back.
"For tonight's lesson, I'll drill into you how to behave during an emergency. If you don't become more self-aware that you're falling behind the others, then the difference between you will grow larger." he lectured walking into the building.
"In a broad sense this is also a kind of 'treat.' Like a mint-flavored one."
"But mint tastes good..."
"Don't you already know about this Yuki-kun?" Mina asked.
Yuki nodded before letting out a heavy sigh.
Once the door opened they were greeted not so nicely.
"Oh, that's weird! Even through Class A is supposed to be better, were there five people who failed? Even though there was only one person from class B? That's so weird!"
"Just how mentally strong are you?!"
The five went to take a seat. Yuki is sitting next to Kaminari.
"He said the same thing trying to provoke us last time."
"I'd like to know what his mental state is."
"Vlad, I want to add some practice maneuvers this time. I was thinking about that, too. You don't have to tell me--"
A shudder ran down Yuki's spine.
"Everyone! We're being attacked by two villains! It's possible that there are more! Everyone who can move gets back to camp immediately! Even if you come across the enemy, retreat and do NOT engage!"
"Vlad, I'm leaving this place to you." Aizawa ordered. "I'll go protect the other students!"
"Aizawa, allow me to retrieve my medical belongings!" Yuki stood up.
"Make it quick!"
"Yes!"
"You're free for the rest of the day."
Without hesitation Yuki nodded and was headed back to the building. Where he would distract himself from everything and everyone with books.
