"Here again? Satori-kun?" a man softly smiled.
"It's not like I want to be here." a young Yuki replied. Taking a seat on a chair.
"If this keeps up we'll have to call your parent--"
"They're dead."
"W-well your guardian then..."
"If you call them again then I won't be coming back."
"Why do you say that?"
Yuki glanced down at his hands. Tugging at his sleeves.
"If I get in trouble they'll just send me to another house. They do it all the time..."
The man let out a soft sigh. Taking a seat across Yuki.
"You know you can alway talk to me, right?"
Yuki nodded. "All the other teachers don't believe me when I say I didn't start the fight."
"Well, I believe you. You don't look like the type to fight anyone."
Yuki looked up at the man, a small smile on his face.
"Thank you, Matsuda-sensei."
Bakugo was waiting for the next part to begin. He was scouting the waiting room, the competition for the next round.
Leaning against the wall away from the rest of his classmates he quickly spotted the healer walking in with two other boys. One looked out of it and another had a broken arm.
The blond noticed just how much more serious and almost terrified the two looked as they spoke in seemingly hushed voices.
"Oh! Yuki-kun made it!" Uraraka's voice echoed.
Yuki snapped his direction away from the conversation before quickly ending it. He passed over the unconscious boy to a staff who led the two who failed away.
Bakugo watched as Yuki smiled approaching their classmates but would quickly disappear replacing it with knitted eyebrows and a worried look.
As the class celebrated everyone in U.A. passing the first round, Yuki was tangled in his thoughts. There had always been a recurring thing they'd always do. But during those times, he had no idea what date, time, let alone season it landed on. He was kept in the dark for all those years. Theoretically and quite literally.
"Oi." the familiar ruff voice caught his attention.
"Who was that."
Yuki frowned, turning to him, "Who was who?"
"The extra with the broken arm."
Yuki's face turned a bit sour. "My guardians' family lawyer's son. We used to go to the same middle school before I was expelled."
"So a friend." Bakugo concluded.
Yuki almost laughed. "Not in a million years."
"Well, for the hundred that passed the first test, Please watch this."
Yuki looked up towards the tv. A broadcasting of all the test cites they had available....explode.
The Urban, the factories, the large dirt mounds, all of it. Explode and crumble.
As much as he was worried about the conversation he'd just had with Watanabe, he had to leave it for another time.
"The next test will be the last one. We will have you all undertake rescue exercises as bystanders in the disaster site."
"Looks like I'll probably pass this one too." Yuki guessed, crossing his arms in thought.
Bakugo smirked. "What makes you so sure?"
Yuki glanced down at him, "I've worked with plenty of first responders. Not legally, but I've gotten permission when reports came in for severe injuries. Or there weren't enough to get to the scene on time."
"Tch."
Yuki grinned. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine."
"Of course I will!"
"We will assume that those of you who have passed the first test have received your provisional licenses and test how well you can carry out suitable rescue procedures."
"There are people in there."
"Huh? Elderly and children?!"
"That's so dangerous! What are they doing?"
"They are people who have undergone training to be professional people-in-need-of-rescue and are in high demand right now The "Help Us Company," or "H.U.C." for short!"
"Professional people-in-need-of-rescue?"
"There are a lot of jobs out there, huh?"
"It's one adapted to this world where heroes are so popular."
And this leads to understaffed jobs like medics...
"The people from H.U.C. have dressed up as injured victims and are on standby throughout the disaster site. We will now have you all carry out their rescue. In addition, we will score your rescue based on points and if you have more points than the benchmark at the end of the exercises, then you pass. We will start in ten minutes, so please use the restroom and take care of any other necessary business right now."
"Well, I guess we have time." Yuki yawned.
"Shiketsu's coming this way." Kirishima pointed out.
More like towards Bakugo.
"Bakugo."
Uncle It...
"Huh?"
"Did you see Shishikura-- the guy whose eyes look like slits?"
"Yeah. I knocked him out."
Yuki took a small step away from the center of attention. He didn't really want to get into any confrontations if there was one.
"That's what I thought." the human of hair spoke. "I think he probably acted rudely. He must have caused offense. He has the tendency to impose his own values on others. He probably couldn't help himself after seeing you, since you're pretty famous."
Oh! He has eyes!
"I would like to build a good relationship with U.A. I apologize on his behalf."
Yuki couldn't help but scoff as they walked away.
"Please. Their attitude says otherwise."
A loud alarm then sounded.
"Villains have begun a large-scale terrorist attack! This is occurring in all the areas of 'City Name Here.' Due to the building collapsing there are many injured."
The building then began to unfold as well.
"The amount of money it must take to create a building that unfolds." Yuki muttered.
"Due to healthily damaged roads, the first group of rescue workers have been delayed! Until they arrive, the heroes in the area will lead the rescue efforts. Save as many lives as you can."
Yuki sighed and went to pull his mask back on.
"Well, then...Start!"
The building was completely open and the remaining 100 examinees rushed out into the open.
Yuki ran a little behind Class 1-A, as he took out his protective eyewear and slipped them on.
Points were mentioned but how they'll be scoring was left unknown...
Yuki continued to follow his class until they reached the Urban area, which happened to be the closest.
"Let's start here!" Iida announced. "We'll work as a team as much as possible!"
Yuki turned on his Infrared vision. Taking a look around he could see many of the 'injured civilians,' a couple of them having a lot of movement.
"Bakugo, again?" Mina asked as the blond began to run in another direction from the group. Kaminari and Kirishima follow.
"I'm heading this way!" Yuki pointed to the opposite direction.
"Yuki!?"
"There's someone over there! I'll see you guys in a bit!" Yuki smirked lazaly saluting.
"Okay now, please wrap up the second test as quickly as possible, too...."
Yuki snapped his pole out, using it to jump onto a rather large piece of rubble.
"H-help...!"
Yuki slowly looked around the area. Two people!
"I'm on my way! Don't worry!" Yuki projected his voice before jumping off the rubble and carefullying making his way through the disaster.
"Help me! Momma isn't waking up!" a little boy cried as he held onto said unconscious mother.
"Hey, it's alright." Yuki tried to soothe him. "We're gonna help your momma, okay? Is there somewhere where it hurts?" Yuki asked, kneeling down in front of the boy.
"M-my arm..."
"You're arm? Okay, which one?" Yuki calmly asked as pulling of his right glove.
"This one." the boy hiccuped, holding out his left.
"Okay. let me take a look." Yuki took the boy's arm and he began to 'heal' it.
"Is that your quirk?"
Yuki smiled underneath the mask. "Yeah! Healing Hero: Caladrius. Pleasure to meet you."
The little boy kept still.
"Okay, that should do it for now. Let's take a look at your mom." Yuki shifted over to the unconscious woman. Pulling out a small flashlight from one of his pockets.
"Eyes are responsive." He placed his left arm on her neck. "Normal heart rate. No signs of any major injuries."
Yuki glanced over to the little boy who only observed him quietly. He made sure to place his right hand on her forehead and allow it to 'heal.'
"Oi." the woman suddenly spoke.
"Y-yeah...?" Yuki nervously replied. Slowly removing his hand.
"I'm supposed to have severe head trauma!"
"O-okay...?" Yuki raised his hands defensively as the woman began to sit up.
"It's difficult enough acting this good but when someone like you can tell the actual difference it's not even worth it for you to be taking this exam." she huffed.
Yuki shifted around, staying kneeling down next to them. "Um.... then, what am I supposed to do?"
The woman smirked. "Satori Yuki, right?"
Yuki was a bit taken aback. "Y-yes...."
"We were told to give you an automatic pass. You're the only one in the exam with a license to use your quirk for medical purposes."
"Huh?"
"All the H.U.C are healthy individuals, right?" she asked.
"Well, yes?" Yuki nodded, uncertain.
"Then you have no reason to be here anymore."
Yuki now sat outside the exam. Confused and a bit disappointed.
"What the hell?"
"As it turns out Recovery Girl was behind this." Aizawa suddenly appeared next to him.
Yuki crossed his arms and let out a huff. "Well, I don't think it's fair for the rest of them. For me to be excu--"
"Satori, you have five years of recorded experience with first responders, working at various E.R's, assistance for many surgeries, and probably a lot more unrecorded accomplishments." Aizawa interrupted.
Yuki was about to retort when a large explosion then erupted from various parts of the area.
"There has been a large-scale terrorist attack by villains."
"Okay, THAT'S not fair." Yuki pointed at the arrival of Gang Orca acting as a villain.
Aizawa sighed. "Take it to the old lady. You unknowingly qualified for the hero license three years ago had you taken the first half of the exam."
"Seriously?!"
"Seriously."
Yuki exasperatingly threw his arms up. "Well what am I supposed to do now? What do I tell the rest of the class when they see I'm not there?!"
"Exactly what it is. Some people are just more qualified and are quick to jump ranks." Aizawa told him. taking a seat near him.
"That's ridiculous," Yuki slouched into his seat as he watched Gang Orca reek mayhem on the examenes he was suppose to be fighting next to.
"Even the most qualified are bound to slip up," Yuki continued, resuming his initial slouched position and crossed arms.
Aizawa looked at him waiting for the boy to continue.
"And when they slip up, it could cost more than one life." the boy sighed, burning half his face into the scarf. "I should know."
Aizawa cautiously sat up as he observed his pupil go into deep thought. He was about to take his chance into getting any piece of information out of the boy about his past and hopefully a clue as to why even Nezu couldn't get a hold of ANY of Yuki's records.
"Was it in the beginning of your volunteering?" Aizawa asked cautiously.
Yuki was feeling a little too sad to not properly take the exam to avoid the question.
"Before." he whispered a reply.
"He told me I was qualified for the medical field and I should focus on being a doctor, instead of healer out in the field... fighting and saving people side by side with other heroes...." Yuki's voice sounded a little too distant for Aizawa's liking.
"Who told you to become a doctor?" Aizawa asked, turning a bit towards the boy.
"Matsu--"
Yuki caught himself. Quickly choosing to clear his throat and sit up straight.
"He was... No one important, now."
Aizawa sighed. He'd been close to getting a name from the should of it.
"I think I'm gonna go to the restroom." Yuki excused himself as he seemingly sped walked away from Aizawa.
"Such a disappointment..."
"Shut up." Yuki hissed under his breath. Removing his mask and goggles. Placing them on a bench in the hall.
Why.
Why can't he just leave me alone
"Because you were my favorite~ You were a great doctor with that quick of yours." he laughed.
A shiver ran down his spine from his right ear. Yuki swung around, his fist following. Only for it to hit a concrete wall.
No one was there, his left hand being saved from the metal material of his hero costume.
That would not be enough to stop the impending terror that will no doubt continue to resurface in the near future.
