                    Today was the day.
Today was the entrance exam...
Yuki continued to stare at his clock.
He had woken up an hour earlier in fear of being late. The first part of the exam began at 8am. And here he was waiting for the clock to strike 5:30 before he got out of bed.
Five...four...three...two...one...
*BeEp* *bEeP* *bEEp* *Bee-
Letting out a string of complaints he quickly silenced his alarm and ever so slowly removed the blankets from himself.
He slowly sat up letting his body greet the cool morning air.
"I need to pee" he quickly said as he jumped out of bed, jolting to the restroom.
"They said to wear your school uniform but-" Yuki looked at himself in the mirror. He wore a white collared shirt with a teal cardigan that could hopefully pass off as a school uniform, of sorts.
He quickly double checked his backpack for his supplies. He never recalled being this nervous for an exam before.
Maybe because your future kind depends on it now-
SILENCE!
Making sure to lock the door he decided it was best to take public transit this time. He knew he wouldn't be coming back home until later in the afternoon. Nezu had made that clear after he called to inform him because of his missing school year, there was paperwork to be done.
The gates of U.A. High had never not made him feel smaller than he already felt and this time, it wasn't different.
He glanced around to see the early birds as him flipping through what seemed like last minute study notes...
Should I have done that!?
The nervous atmosphere was making his queasy and even more fidgety than he had been.
They were sorted into groups before taken away to a classroom where names had been assigned to each seat.
Holy shit! I'm in the back~
Feeling a bit more relaxed of not having someone behind him he smiled as he sat in his seat.
"As you know, today will be the written exam, arf." Hound Dog began.
"The five subjects the exam will be covering are the five main ones, arf. Japanese, English, Mathematics, Science, and social studies. In that order. You will have two breaks. One after English, another after Science. If you are caught cheating you will be removed from the premises and will no longer qualify for the entrance exams, arf."
Yuki had closed his eyes to try and calm his heart rate, but he kept getting the sensation someone was staring at him. And Yuki definitely didn't want to look at them in fear of losing his focus.
After everything was handed out the testing began. "Good luck to you all, you may begin."
And just like that, the intensity of the room ten folded.
Not even operations felt this way. He guess it's true what they say,
You don't experience the same intensity or pressure in real life as you do in school.
Yuki had almost forgotten about it.
Four and a half hours later he closed his social studies packet. Packed his things and was the first one to turn in the final packet.
I'm done~
"Satori Yuki?" Hound dog asked.
"Y-yea."
"Recovery girl said you were taking another test after these."
"Oh yes."
NO! I COMPLETELY FORGOT! FFFFFUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!
"She's waiting for you at her office, arf."
"Thank you sir." Yuki bowed politely before exiting and feeling the stares of the students following him.
He's taking another exam?!
Oh no, I can't even answer another question.
What an angel.
So manly.
I guess that's what he was studying for then.
Katsuki had been surprised to see the boy finished in half the time they were given. He was only 20 questions away from finishing and he had thought for sure he would be the first to finish.
Stretching his arms as he walked towards Recovery Girl's office he wondered what kind of exam she had prepared for him.
Pee, I need to Pee first.
The exam Yuki had in mind was clearly not the one Recovery girl had in mind.
"But this is a med-school exam..." Yuki's shoulders fell.
Yes he studied the human body and mammals and the brain and-
"It was pointed out to me by one of my co-workers at the hospitals, you hold the thirst for medical knowledge." she told him as she placed another one for vets and another one for just the brain.
"This is in no way going to affect your score for the entrance exams. I would just like to know what you know and have a clear grasp of."
"For animals too...?" Yuki looked at the packets.
I should have brought my scooter.
"Three Hours!"
Yuki felt as though his brain would melt as he managed to reach his bed before collapsing.
"Who's idea was it to give me exam after exam on the same day?!" He complained shouting into his pillows, kicking the bed in the process.
"I kinda don't want to go tomorrow..." he whispered, which was followed by a wave of guilt just thinking about what would happen if he didn't end up going.
"I need to go make dinner- UGH!!!!" Yuki shouted, curling up into a ball.
"I get it! You're hungry!!" Yuki shouted looking down at his stomach which had released a loud and painful growl.
"I deserve to feed my body and keep it healthy because it does so much work to keep me alive," Yuki droned getting out of bed commencing his nightly routine.
Next Day
"The examines have not been informed of the number of villains or their locations." Nezu explained to Yuki as he watched up at the many screens projecting the practical exam.
I can see why there're many rumors about people dying during these exams...
Yuki thought as he eyed a spiky blond haired boy going feral on the robots with explosions.
"They have a limited amount of time in the vast area. They have to draw the villains out from there." Nezu continued to explain.
Yuki couldn't decide where to look. He was getting dizzy just looking at the monitors that not only zoomed in and out but also changed camera angles.
Won't they miss something?
Yuki glanced over at a different monitor where a white hair poly-armed boy stood near the edge of a building to a boy running and looking as though he were skating on concrete.
"Information gathering ability to understand the situation before anyone else. Mobility that can be used in many different circumstances. Discernment to be able to stay calm in any situation. And pure combat ability."
Yuki was once again reminded as to why he always seemed to be being pushed around. He once spoke of wanting to be a hero but upon discovering his quirk his definition of hero shifted from strong people beating up villains to the people working long hours of the day sometimes without a break to keep others alive and well.
His gaze eventually found the feral blond which only made him shudder in the thought of him being one of his bullies with that kind of quirk.
"These basic abilities needed to keep the peace in the streets are turned into points in the test."
So this exam is mostly for combat-based quirks.
"Their true test is still to come."
Upon pressing a button, Yuki stared eye wide onto the monitors as the Zero point robots emerged from the ground in all the areas.
"Wow," he whispered as he watched many of the examinees run from it.
If this were really happening, hero's wouldn't hesitate to stop it one way or another so the citizens could get away...
Yuki frowned, imagining the damages it would make if it really were to happen. The amount of people injured and possibly unable to run being left behind if heroes ran only saving themselves.
"Look-" some whispered within the room.
Yuki took a peek at every camera before his eyes landed on a green haired boy running towards the zero pointer.
He witnessed as the boy leaped from the ground with such force it pushed him a little past the building height before sending a punch towards the bot, destroying it.
"The spirit of self-sacrifice," someone else spoke up.
"Amazing," Yuki's eyes stared at awe, but was quickly replaced with confusion and fear as he saw the boy's body flail about, falling from the sky.
"Oh man," Yuki sighed. He wasn't expecting someone to land smack on the ground like a fly today...
"Satori-kun, the exams are almost over. Let's get a move on." Recovery girl announced.
"Yes!" Yuki quickly stood up to follow her.
"Satori Yuki, please take care of them!" Nezu shouted, waving goodbye.
Yuki only bowed and exited the room.
"So it's him?" an ill looking man asked the principal.
"Yes, he will be attending U.A. and has already begun to train under Recovery Girl. She's eager to retire as soon as he's ready, she says." Nezu replied happily.
The ill man only looked at the principal with a nervous expression. He would soon have to share his secret with the boy if he wanted to be able to have a place to hide just in case.
