"Yuki-kun!" a series of knocks followed. "Yuki! Aizawa-sensei needs us down at the lobby in 5 minutes!"
Said boy was completely knocked out, sprawled on the floor with only a throw pillow as a blanket and book as his eye mask. Receiving no reply, the Class President decided to do the unbelievable. He opened his friend's door without consent.
"Yuki-kun, it is unacceptable to sleep in on a school day! You must hurry and get ready. Aizawa-sensei has an announcement to make this morning!" Iida walked over Yuki with purpose towards the curtains, pulling them apart to let the morning sun in.
"Iida~" Yuki groaned, muffled by the book. "You're too loud..."
"Yuki-kun!" Iida shouted again, lifting the book off the boy's face. "Get up!"
Gripping the throw pillow, the tired boy flinged it up, towards his class pres. Slamming it into his face and pushing his glass a bit too far up for his comfort.
"I'm up!" Yuki complained. Grudgingly supporting himself on the coffee table.
"Yuki--!"
"I'll be down in 5 minutes. Okay, okay...."
"A newspaper?!"
I woke up for this?
"Yeah. A newspaper wants to do a feature on you all." Aizawa announced.
"Isn't that amazing, Deku?" Uraraka asked Midoriya. Yuki just happened to accidentally place himself between them.
"Y-Yeah..." Midoriya stuttered, turning a light shade of pink.
Oh~
Looking over to Iida, Yuki silently and tiredly began glaring daggers at him. In his rush, he barely had enough time to pull out a sweater from his closet before running down the emergency stairs.
"It's kind of embarrassing." Kaminari commented.
"Why?" Kirishima asked.
"The sports festival was broadcast around the country, right?" Ojiro asked.
"Mina, we'll be in the paper! We've gotta look our best!" Hagakure excitedly jumped.
"Yeah!"
"You don't have to do much, though, Hagakure..."
"Don't get too excited." Aizawa intruteped.
Yuki casually began to lean on top of Uraraka, using her head like a pillow.
"The article is supposed to be about how you students are doing in the dorms you just moved into." Aizawa began to explain in more detail. "The principal thought it would be good for your parents and guardians to see you all living happily in the dorms, so he gave special permission. That's why--"
Just a little behind Yuki, he could hear Mineta begin to say inappropriate things. Aizawa's capture scarf was enough to shut him up. Though not as quickly as one would have liked.
"So you better not do anything like That." Aizawa strictly emphasized.
Yuki continued to make himself comfortable. Wrapping his arms over Uraraka's shoulders and letting his weight fall onto her. His friend didn't seem to mind as she activated her quirk and held onto him to not float away.
"You don't have to be like that, Aizawa-sensei." a voice interrupted. As Mineta was still tightly bound, everyone turned to look over to a tall man with glasses and a camera hanging from his neck. "I want to report on U.A. students in their natural state in the dorms." he kindly smiled.
"Trust me," Yuki grumbled lightly, "That's a bad decision..."
Aizawa frowned, "Mr. Tokuda, I didn't say you could come in yet--"
"I was told I could be here from 8am to 6pm. It's already time." The apparent reporter stated as he pointed at his wrist watch,
His eye looks kinda funky....
Aizawa reluctantly stayed quiet as Mr. reporter proceeded to stand in front of the class, besides their homeroom teacher. He'd definitely be towering over him had he not been hunched over.
"Hello, everyone. I'm Tokuda, a reporter. Thanks for having me here today."
Aizawa kept giving him the side eye.
"Nice to meet you!" The majority of the class greeted him. Yuki only bowed as Uraraka did.
"You don't have to do anything special. Please just show the camera how you normally live." Mr. Reporter said with a smile. "I might ask you questions occasionally, so I'll be counting on you then."
"Oh, he's delightful and handsome!" Mina and Hagakure fangirled.
"What to do? I'm always sparkling, so I can't help but be a wonderful subject for pictures." Yuki heard Aoyama stress.
"Yuki-kun, are you okay?" Uraraka asked. Her endurace for her quirk was getting quite good.
"No. I need more sleep..." Yuki grumbled, loosening his grip on her and letting himself float a couple inches off the floor.
"Iida, if there's a problem, let me know immediately. Got it?" Aizawa ordered.
Iida immediately perked up, "Yes, sir!"
Iida's shouting only earned Yuki to continue to glare at him.
"As the class representative for Class 1-A, I, Iida Tenya, will carry out my duty--"
"Okay, then, um..." Mr. Reporter interrupted, glancing over to the rest of the class. "What would you usually be doing now?"
"Having Breakfast!" Iida proclaimed loudly.
Mr. Reporter only smiled, "You don't have to be so nervous. Just pretend I'm not here..."
Yuki hummed in thought as he watched how Aizawa continued to keep the side eye before silently dismissing whatever thought he had.
"Everyone! Time for breakfast!" Iida shouted once more.
"I want to sleep." Yuki pouted, freeing himself from Uraraka and spreading out like a starfish, slowly floating upwards.
"Yuki-kun!"
"Satori!" Aizawa scolded.
"I deserve," reaching the ceiling, Yuki curled up, lined himself at an angle before springing down towards Iida. "SLEEP!"
"YUKI!"
Needless to say, the first picture of the day was of Yuki plummeting down towards a not so collected Iida... who tried to catch him.
And failed of course.
Breakfast went swimmingly. Mr. reporter managed to dodged anymore of Bakugo's anger after having been caught off guard and Yuki was able to dine with the rest of 1-A at last.
He'd followed them out as they walked to the school's main building, often running up ahead and clicking away at his camera. And Yuki was sure that he'd gotten bored during their classes, only having heard the click of the camera so little compared to outside. But as Yuki continued to watch the reporter, he couldn't help but feel he was there for something else besides his interest in their dorm life.
During lunch time Yuki couldn't help but feel nauseous so he instead ventured to see Recovery Girl on the premise she wanted to do a few more check ups. Uraraka, Iida, and Midoriya had insisted one of them accompany him but Yuki managed to get away as they were deciding who should go with him.
"Chiyo-sensei...?" Yuki slowly peeked into the nurses office. "Sensei?" he called out again, this time a bit louder. There wasn't a reply. With a sigh of relief he closed the door behind him, chose the furthest bed away from the door, closed the curtains and got comfortable.
I can always use the excuse of still feeling a bit under the weather. For now.
He laid on his side before turning over, facing the window. Heavy clouds were gathering, the blue sky from that morning getting covered up. In the last few days he'd been working mostly non-stop, trying to catch up on his class work. This inevitably messed with his sleeping and he could practically feel his stress levels rising at the thought of having to go through all the requests sent out for him. Fortunately he hadn't needed to heal anyone yet. On the other hand, he had no idea how much of a toll his body might happen if he did heal someone. He always made sure, for the past 4-5 years too, to heal at least one person for 3-4 days.
Yuki heard the faint brush of the door slide open before it closed. Surely it was Recovery Girl. Maybe he could beg her to get him out of class for the rest of the afternoon. Though, he didn't want to fall behind again. He closed his eyes and calmed his breathing. A short nap wouldn't hurt him.
He'd slept through the afternoon.
"No way..." he'd mumbled before sitting up from bed. He was still in the nurse's office. "Aizawa's gonna kill me." he groaned, flopping back down. He felt well rested at the moment and debated if he should just leave his things in the classroom and just head back to the dorms. He looked around for the time and sure enough, classes had been over nearly 2 hours ago.
"You know one would think to set an alarm just in case." The curtains were then pulled open. "Aizawa-senei asked me to come get you if you didn't wake up by the end of class." Uraraka smiled.
"Oh no!" Yuki groaned, curling up on his side. "I'm going to die the next time I train with him!"
"There, there..." she jokingly comforted him. "Recovery Girl managed to get you excused for the rest of the afternoon classes, so I don't think it's too bad."
Yuki peeked through his fingers, "Are you sure?"
She nervously scratched her cheek. "Well... not for sure."
He let out another pitiful groan.
"Alright, get up already." Uraraka casually slapped his shoulder. "We started a new section in nearly the rest of the classes you missed."
"That does not make me feel any better, Uraraka."
Yuki had pestered her to use her quirk on him again but was given a stern look and reminded of the little stunt he'd pulled that morning in front of guests. Who knew she cared for that kind of stuff.
"Midnight-sensei is probably going to give you a hard time when you go back. Today was supposed to be your first day again and you just ended up sleeping away the afternoon." Uraraka informed it with a disapproving tone. Yuki followed close behind her as they neared their dorm building.
"Alright I get it!" He complained. "No need to enjoy my future torment."
"Let's see, what else happened?" Uraraka teasingly pondered.
Yuki latched onto her backpack, pulling her back to his pace. Slinging his arm over her shoulder he purposely began to walk in zigzag'z. "That will be enough of what I need to know thank you very much."
"Yuki!" she laughed, following along his little antics.
"Tell me," Yuki grinned, steadying his pace. "Will you let me copy your notes?"
"No way!" she quickly replied.
"Aw~ Don't be such a meany." Yuki pouted.
"Nope. No way. You lied about going to see Recovery Girl and didn't even get to finish lunch. You hardly eat anything at all in the morning's and now you're trying to skip--"
Yuki gasped. "My, My!"
"What?" Uraraka asked.
"Are you really that worried about me?" Yuki asked nearly in a taunting way. A scoff escaped her, followed by a playful slap to his chest.
"Of course I am! I'm your friend!" she proudly stated. Removing his arm off of her she huffed and walked ahead of Yuki. "If something's wrong with my friends' I'm obviously going to worry."
Yuki opened his mouth to retort but instead decided to give her a smile.
"So you worry about Iida?"
"Of course!"
"Tsu-chan?"
"Is that even a question?"
Yuki hummed in acknowledgement as his smile widened mischievously. "Even a certain freckled boy~"
There was a light squeal, her hands slapped onto her face, quickly looking away from him and speed walking away.
"I knew it!" Yuki laughed as he lightly jogged to keep up with her.
"W-what are you talking about?!" she asked, keeping her face out of his view.
"You like him! Don't you!" he practically shouted before Uraraka's hands were slammed onto his mouth.
"Shhh! You're too loud!" her face beat red with embarrassment and quirk activated.
Yuki continued to grin as he held onto her wrist to prevent her from floating away.
"Stop looking at me like that!" she meekly scolded.
Yuki proceeded to furiously raise his eyebrows repeatedly.
"I said Stop IT! I have no idea what your--"
"Huh? Uraraka? Yuki? Are you just getting back?"
Speak of the devil.
Quickly removing Uraraka's hands from his face, he continued to hold onto her as she was now in an overload of embarrassment.
"Midoriya!" Yuki casually greeted as he pulled his dear floating friend closer to the ground. "I just woke up a couple minutes ago."
Midoriya smiled, not completely sure what was going on with the two. "Yeah... that's good. It's not dinner time yet, so you still have time to wash up if you want."
Yuki continued to smile as he walked up towards the front door of their dorm. "Yeah! I'll definitely be doing that!" pulling the door open and casually pushing his dear friend inside. "Try not to break anything!"
Upon closing the door behind him he sighed and glanced up at the ceiling where Uraraka was curled up in a ball of flustered feelings.
"Can someone get Sero? Uraraka's up on the ceiling again." Yuki called out, to anyone really, as he removed his shoes.
"Ochaco-chan!" Tsu called out to her.
"Do you think he heard?" Yuki heard Uraraka mumble.
"Nope! He's too dense in that department as well." He smiled up at her. "I'll go wash up. Let me know when you want to talk about it!" And so he left her to his classmates to get her down.
All Might had brought the class meat buns for after dinner. Which was nice of him. Mr. Reporter was long gone by the time dinner did start. And dinner was delicious. Albeit, it was a bit salty. So with a towel draped over his wet hair, he finally managed to get started sorting through agency and hospital requests.
The entirety of his room floor was taken up with papers neatly arranged in chronological time with color coded post-its and three bulletin brief summary of what was being asked of him to do.
With a frown and arms crossed he sighed, "It would be unrealistic of me to accept all of these."
So he added another category. Outlining the dates and planning out the route from one place to another. "This does not help," he concluded.
There was a soft knock before the door was pried open. Yuki paid no mind as he continued to map out and calculate the distance and time.
"Why the fuck are you still awake?" Bakugo made his presence known.
"Why are you still coming by all the time when there is clearly no need for you to do so?" Yuki quickly retorted, not looking away from his simple calculations.
"I'm here to use you to get me into one of those agencies!" Bakugo exclaimed, rudely slamming the door closed.
"Jiro has sensitive hearing and she's right above this room. Please be a bit more aware of your surroundings and volume." Yuki droned, crossing out an agency from his list. He would be traveling far more to its destination than he would simply staying there for minor and non-threatening illnesses.
"Get me into one of the agencies." Bakugo repeated firmly.
Yuki glanced over to him, stands of his hair, curtaining Bakugo's complete view of the healer's face. "No can do."
"Don't give me that--!"
"You don't have your licence." Yuki began listening as he typed away on his calculator again.
"You'll be spending more time training and studying for the special training course." Another agency was crossed out. "And on top of that," Yuki turned to give Bakugo his full attention. "There'll probably be a small number of our classmates actually getting into agencies who'll put them out there for their Hero Debut."
It was clear to Yuki, Bakugo was irritated. With his deep frown, trembling figure, and tightly clenched jaw and fists, Yuki remained indifferent.
"It's best to focus on one thing at a time when things aren't going as planned." Yuki told him as he walked over to the blond. "A small detour might be needed to learn things that can prove to be beneficial in the future."
Yuki then purposely slammed his hands onto Bakugo's shoulders'.
"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THA--"
The healer then smiled, "You should do yoga. It might loosen up the strain on your shoulders, neck, and back."
"I didn't come for a physical consultation!"
"Maybe a day at the spa will do good too."
"Learn how to dry your goddamn hair before you start giving out self care advice!"
Said boy was completely knocked out, sprawled on the floor with only a throw pillow as a blanket and book as his eye mask. Receiving no reply, the Class President decided to do the unbelievable. He opened his friend's door without consent.
