Grant POV
She floated towards me, arms clutching a bouquet of pink and white roses, her dress a pure white that fell off her shoulders, her long brown hair up in an elegant bun, her eyes fixed on mine. The pack was silent, sitting in the pews, holding their breath. She was beautiful. Gorgeous. Stunning. Mine. I couldn’t believe my luck. Never in a million years would I have dreamed something like this would be possible, let alone she would have said yes to this.
I saw my mother standing in the front, holding my daughter Jadette in her arms, my baby now just over a year old, her face cracked into a wide smile, her hands waving at me as she wriggled in my mother’s grasp. My father was beaming, doting on his granddaughter. Jadette was lapping up all of their attention. I grinned. She was such a bright little girl, sweet, and kind, and she had really taken to Juliet, who loved her as though she was her own daughter. They had a bond, that only a mother and daughter could share. It was beautiful. I beamed.
I straightened my bow tie, feeling nervous, my breath hitching as she drew even closer. She was like a goddess, perfect in my eyes. Her big brown eyes were fixed on me as she swayed to the music, slowly making her way up the aisle, apprehension in her eyes. I could tell she was nervous as well and perhaps a little fearful. She hadn’t exactly wanted her first marriage and I knew it was taking a lot to go through with this ceremony. I stared at her, mouthed the words ‘I love you’, and watched her relax slightly, a look of determination etched on her face.
She made it and I grabbed her hand, holding it firmly. We turned to face the minister who cleared his throat. Everybody sat in their seats, watching expectantly. “Today we are here to witness an important union between two beautiful souls who complete each other” intoned the minister, holding his arms out and gesturing to the two of us “Alpha Grant and his lovely Luna Juliet. If there are any objections to this union, speak them now or forever hold your peace.”
My daughter chose that moment to clap her hands and giggle, making everybody laugh out loud. I glowered at the crowd daring anybody to so much as try to interrupt the ceremony or object. I would rip their heads off and leave them for the birds to feast on.
Silence. The minister looked pleased. I smiled lovingly at my bride. I rubbed circles on the back of her hand, soothing her as she swallowed hard and shifted anxiously on her feet. He continued to speak, but I tuned him out, content to gaze at Juliet, entranced by how stunning she looked and how happy I felt. I only snapped back to attention when the minister announced the words I had been desperate to hear “You may now kiss the bride.”
I grabbed a shocked Juliet around the waist and drew her to me amongst a crowd of cheers, pressing my lips firmly against hers, feeling a rush of electricity run through me as I delved my tongue inside her mouth and caressed the walls of her mouth. She moaned and I deepened the kiss, my hand gripping the back of her neck, forgetting for a moment, where
we were.
“Forgive me Alpha Grant but um, perhaps this would be better suited to a more private setting,” the minister said with a twinge of desperation in his voice.
My mother laughed and Jadyn squealed. Juliet and I pulled apart, Juliet blushing profusely. It was adorable.
She still gets embarrassed so easily. Even though we’ve been intimate so many times Hades smirked you would think by now that she would be well and truly used to it.
Hades, leave her be. I think it’s cute. You know you love it I chided him.
He grinned in response and swished his tail, smug now that we were wed to our mate. I rolled my eyes.
Everybody began to file past us, offering their congratulations on the way to the reception which was to be held outside on the grounds in a marquee. My mother and father were the last to come up.
“Congratulations” my mother beamed, as I took hold of Jadette who held her arms out for me, my father patting me awkwardly on the shoulder and giving Juliet a hug.
“I’m one lucky man,” I said honestly, and Juliet’s eyes shone with unshed tears.
“I’m the lucky one” she whispered in a cracked voice. My daughter giggled. I laughed.
“Well, we are going to go to the reception,” my mother said in an excited voice, taking back my daughter even as I tried to protest “And we will see you there,” she said firmly.
My father grabbed Jadette and began to bounce her up and down as she shrieked with laughter. My mother walked serenely beside him. I sighed and then gave Juliet another, long, lingering kiss that left the two of us panting. I briefly considered whether we had time to race up to the bedroom for some quick alone time and dismissed the idea, albeit reluctantly. I wanted her wedding night to be perfect and a quickie certainly wasn’t it.
Juliet’s eyes were shining.
“They are so sweet, your parents” she murmured.
I nodded, tugging her gently in the direction of the reception but she pulled me back. I looked at her confused.
“Something wrong?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
She hesitated. “I have a present I want to give to you, but it’s in our room” she bit her lip.
“Then let’s go,” I said nonchalantly.
It was clearly important to her. Her face lit up and she dragged me towards the pack house as I laughed, easily keeping pace with her hurried steps. I opened the door and ushered her inside, wondering what this present was and filled with anticipation. Hades was just as eager to find out. We hurried up the stairs and then headed into our bedroom. She pushed me down onto the bed, making me sit as she headed into the bathroom. I frowned. Why would she hide a present there? I guess it made a good hiding spot, I mused.
She came back out, holding her hands behind her back. “I um, want you to close your eyes” she breathed.
I obediently closed my eyes. She put something cold and hard, but also relatively small into the palm of my hand. “Okay, you can open them now” she whispered.
I opened them and stared down at the palm of my hand. “Is this what I think it is?” I asked slowly.
She nodded and I gave a shout, hopping up and whirling her around. “We’re pregnant” I yelled, as she sniffled and gave me a watery smile.
“You’re happy then?” she asked cautiously.
“Happy?” I said incredulously “I’m ecstatic. Sure, I know it might be hard with Jadette, but I love you Juliet and I love my daughter. I can’t think of anything better than having another daughter or son to love on top of that. A sibling for Jadette. Oh my god, my mother is going to go ballistic.”
We burst into laughter, and I pulled her onto my lap as I sat back on the bed. I stroked her hair. “Honey, whatever the future throws at us, we can handle it, so long as we are together, my precious Luna and the mother of my children. I will never, ever, leave your side, so long as we both shall live” I vowed, rolling her onto the bed and sliding my hand underneath her dress as she sucked in a breath.

“The reception,” she said weakly as I gave her a devilish grin “Everybody’s waiting,” she said unconvincingly.
“Let them wait” I growled, beginning to slide her panties down, “right now I want to show you exactly how much I love you.
It was a very long, long time until we made it to reception. As the years passed, our family only grew and eventually my firstborn took over the title of Alpha to the Blood Moon Pack. We lived to see our children have their own, doting on our grandchildren, and never once did we fall out of love. That was the beauty of the mate bond and the devotion that both of us had towards each other and the commitment we were determined to keep. Our love never faltered and Juliet remained the love of my life until the day I died.
