Josie POV
“So Alpha Drake has had a sister all this time and kept it secret,” I said in disbelief as Rohan nodded tightly, his expression grim “how, I mean, how could you not have known?” I asked, still stunned.
“He kept her as a servant, an omega. I knew Rose, but never once was it mentioned she was his younger sister. He must have used his Alpha tone to keep her from talking about it. What should we do? Your mother wants to send her back here and Rose is hesitant but willing now that her brother is no longer Alpha.”
I turned to Claudia who was frowning “Did you know?”
She shook her head looking ashamed. “No, if I had I would have treated her far better than I did. I just assumed she was like any other omega in the house. I guess I didn’t know Drake that well after all” she said sadly.
I eyed her carefully. I still couldn’t understand how this girl could have been so blind to Drake’s personality and cruelty. Had she just been oblivious or blind due to loving him? It made no sense to me. Or maybe she had wanted the Luna title that desperately she was willing to put up with his coldness. I felt a tiny bit of sympathy for her. I owed her for phoning my parents after all. But I remained suspicious of her motives.
“Should we take her back?” I asked Claudia directly “you as well as anyone, know how she was treated? Is she loyal to Alpha Drake?”
She frowned. “He treated her worse than anyone. From whipping her to verbally abusing her. I would be very surprised if she had any kind feelings towards him whatsoever.”
So Claudia hadn’t been completely blind to Drake’s hostility towards omegas and other pack members. That was not a good thing in regards to her. I fought to keep a scowl of my face as I looked at her.
Rohan, sensing my anger, took hold of my hand and squeezed it. “From all accounts Rose seems to be a sweet girl and she’s warned your mother and father that Drake is not about to give up. Maybe she might even know some things about him that might prove useful” he suggested.
I thought about it. Rohan was asking for my opinion and I appreciated it. Claudia remained silent. I figured that Rose deserved to at least see how the pack was changing and make her own mind up. If she chose to leave again, my mother and father would make room at their pack for her and there was no harm done. I suspected that Rose had never been consulted about anything when it came to what she wanted and I wasn’t about to start demanding things from her like everybody else had.
“Let her come back and decide for herself if she wants to stay” I said softly, Rohan nodding his agreement “it might be too painful for her to want to stay with all the bad memories this place is sure to invoke for her. I want everybody to be reminded that she is to be treated with respect and courtesy when she arrives. Nobody is to treat her like she was treated in the past” I said firmly.
“I agree” Rohan said with his eyes narrowed as Claudia nodded timidly “anybody that tries to abuse her will be put in the dungeons and abused themselves as an example.”
I gave a sigh of relief. “Now we should think about yours and Claudia’s safety” Rohan said grimly “there is every chance that Alpha Drake will retaliate against you Claudia if he finds out you made that phone call and we know he wants you Josie” he pointed out “I don’t want either of you leaving the pack house without armed escorts. A minimum of four at least and even then stay on the grounds, no going into the forest, not even for runs” he instructed.
Claudia looked incensed. “But Alpha Rohan” she spluttered “I can’t stay locked up in this house forever. Besides, he doesn’t care about me, it’s Luna Josie he wants. I’m sure that it will be safe for me to go on runs” she protested.
He shook his head “Not until he’s captured” he growled.
She pouted. I looked at him “Rohan, I can’t be confined to the house permanently either. I’ve just gotten my wolf and I need to be able to run. Running on the grounds is not going to be acceptable to her, she’s already growing angry at the suggestion. We need to be able to go into the forest and stretch our legs.”
Rohan’s eyes flashed as he took a deep calming breath “You can go for runs with me when I’m available and only then. Josie, your wolf is incredible and I don’t doubt it’s strong but I’m worried. It should have been a simple matter to find Drake and he’s managed to elude us. That makes me concerned that he’s planning something. I need you to be safe, for my sake. Please” he said, leaning forward and fixating his eyes on me, his hand tightly gripping mine “please just compromise with me. I can’t bear to lose you” he added and I was lost.
“Okay, but Rohan, he needs to be found” I warned.
“He will be. The search has been increased and the perimeter extended. My best trackers are still out there, searching for his scent. Trust me, this will all be over soon” he promised.
“Claudia, I thank you. It couldn’t have been easy to make the call like you did. You saved Josie’s life and I owe you my gratitude” he said gruffly “but if you wouldn’t mind, I would like to be left alone with my mate right now.”
She nodded quickly and got up, leaving the study and hastily shutting the door, still looking miserable. Rohan stood up and walked over, grabbing me and walking to his chair, sitting down with me on his lap, a satisfied grin on his face.
“Rohan” I gasped, feeling his hardness against me.
He began to kiss me, hard, his fingers deftly going underneath my shirt as I moaned.
“I can’t help it, you look so f*****g stunning” he muttered between kissing me “let me show you just how much I adore you” he added with a wicked grin as I felt wet between my legs in response.
“But we’re in the study” I murmured, embarrassed.
“So” he breathed, his finger’s going to the back of my bra and unclasping it, his fingers moving to the front to cup my breasts as I writhed on his lap and accidentally ground against his erection.
“What if someone walks in?” I whispered, whimpering as he began to squeeze my breasts lightly, pleasure coursing through me.
“That’s half the fun, but I can guarantee that nobody will,” Rohan said hoarsely, beginning to nibble on my earlobe and growling lowly in my ear.
He stood up, holding me, and placed me on the edge of his large desk. I watched, my heart racing as he began to quickly dispose of everything that it contained, before he pushed me lightly down, so that I was lying on top of it, my legs draped down either side, exposing myself to him, my skirt hiked above my waist as his eyes glinted at me.
He licked his lips as I stared up at him, anticipation flooding through me. I offered no resistance as he eyed me like I was something he couldn’t get enough of, his eyes continuing to darken.
“You smell so damn good” he hissed, his hand lightly skimming along my thigh as I shivered in excitement. Damn. One touch and I was fully aroused. My body was craving more and I licked my own lips as I stared at him pleadingly. He smirked. He pulled off one shoe and then the other, slowly, dropping them to the ground and then reached up under my skirt and began to pull down my pantyhose, his touch igniting a fire within me. He pulled it down and then dropped it carelessly to the floor, my lace panties in full view as he gave me a wicked grin and began to rub me through them.
“So wet” he groaned as I forced myself to keep still for him “I can smell your juices woman” he growled.
I went to touch him and he stopped me, pushing my arms over head and pinning them, his eyes smouldering at me. What had I done wrong? Had I upset him. But he was smiling, even as he stared down at me for what felt like an awfully long time.
“No touching” he said as I gaped at him “in fact, don’t move your hands at all, unless I say to” he added and before I could say anything, he removed his hands, leaving my own above my head and used one of his to rip my panties and tear them off, leaving me trembling as his eyes began to gleam.
