???'s POV
A whirlwind of sapphire dust and debris lifted Dimitri off the ground. He pivoted around the air before he crashed into the bark of the nearest tree. With a loud oomph! He tumbled to the ground.
Dimitri stood to his feet; somewhat amused but a whole lot irritated. "You've become, stronger Trixie," he dusted his outfit.
"Don't. Call. Me. That," Beatrix conjured up another ball of grime as she manipulated the element of wind, and she draped it around Dimitri, firing him into the same tree. This time the wood cracked as the bark leaned towards the bystanders.
"Watch out!" Declan warned. Everyone dashed out of the path of the crashing tree, except for Delilah. He didn't even think twice before he wolf-sped over to her and shoved her out of the way. Both of them rolled on the grate until their backs slammed against another tree. The impact immediately whacked them unconscious.
The tree crashed to the land, shaking it like an earthquake and creating a dark vapour of dust that erupted all around them.
"What the hell is going on?" Imogen roared as she approached the horrid scene. "Beatrix, clear the dust." Beatrix rotated her wrists and instantaneously, the powder was gone. "Would someone care to explain?" Everyone hung their heads low. "Beatrix, answer me!"
Beatrix opened her mouth, then sealed it again.
"Beatrix fought with the vampire," Meena blurted out. Beatrix growled at her.
Zander, Isis and Rollo pulled up to the scene just in time to hear Meena's declaration.
"Dimitri, you did what?" Zander roared out. He shot daggers at the vampire, obviously appalled.
"Don't give me that look, Zander. She was the one who assaulted me."
"Is this true, Beatrix?" Imogen walked up to her, but Beatrix drooped her head in shame. "I cannot believe this. You, of all people, should know better. There's no violence allowed here," she sneered.
"It was not entirely Trixie's fault. Her reasons are vindicated, so don't be too harsh on her," Dimitri added.
"Stay out of witch business, vampire."
"Dimitri, how about you inform us what you were fighting about?" Isis inquired.
"To tell you the truth, Isis, I don't know all the details," Dimitri answered.
"Well, somebody gotta know something," Rollo added.
"Why are y'all making me into a snitch?" Meena took a profound whiff, and again she dished everything out. "So, it turns out that the Vampire is the British Serpent, who broke Beatrix's heart."
Imogen grabbed her chest. She dismissed Meena, Ava, Allison and Sophia, telling them to leave to their bungalows. Then she stared bug-eyed at Beatrix. "Bea, is this true?"
"Yes, it's true."
"You slept with a vampire? Like really slept with one?" Imogen spoke with revolt.
"I resent that remark," Dimitri scoffed.
"You don't get to speak, after what you did to my sister," Imogen reprimanded Dimitri by pointing her finger at him like he was a child.
"I'm afraid I do not know your sister."
"Look, dearies, we don't have time for all this domestic affair. Now where is my Goddaughter?" Isis waited for a reply.
Imogen's eyes pooled with tears, "She was taken Isis - they took her too."
"No," Isis gasped. "Not my Freya."
"Yes, Isis. They took her five days ago."
"Why am I just learning about this?" Isis asked.
"I figured I could handle it. I know you had a lot on your plate, helping out Alpha Zander's pack and hiding from whoever is taking the supernaturals," Imogen explained.
Isis sighed, "Have you tried a twintepathy spell?"
"Yes, but the power of Cerulean Tetrad is weakened. We merely got to speak to her for a few minutes. She doesn't know where she is, but she is with Prudence," Imogen confessed.
"Prudence is alive?" Isis asked in shock.
"Yes. Freya also told us who kidnapped her. It was King Lucifer."
"That fucker," Zander seethed. "So he is the one who is taking the supernaturals."
"Yes," Imogen replied.
"But why? What does he want with them and how powerful is Freya?" Zander questioned. "Six years ago I learnt that only the strongest were being taken," Zander said as he remembered what Nicholi had informed him at the supernatural meeting.
It was Isis who answered. "I am the original leader of this Coven and when I was targeted six years ago, I left. I assumed it was safer for the witches here. But later I found out that the Cerulean sisters formed a magical tetrad bond, so together their magic is as great as mine."
"Cerulean sisters?" Dimitri questioned as he looked at Beatrix. "Isn't that your surname?"
"Yes, I am Beatrix Cerulean and this here," she pointed at Imogen, "Is my sister Imogen Cerulean."
"What? But of course, I should have known from the natural blue hair that you both sport," Dimitri chuckled.
"Together with our other two sisters, our magic is as strong as Isis'," Imogen announced.
"King Lucifer must have figured it out. That's why he captured Freya and Prudence," Isis rubbed her chin. "He will be coming for Imogen and Beatrix soon."
"Prudence?" Zander questioned. "The representative for the witches on the supernatural council?"
"Yes. She is the eldest of the sisters. I left her in charge when I left," Isis explained.
"And when she was taken, I took over her place as the leader of the coven," Imogen replied.
"WOW!" Rollo exclaimed. "So do you think you can tap into that twintepathy thingy again?"
"We tried, but I'm afraid their powers are both drained."
"What is twintepathy?" Dimitri asked.
"I heard about this before. It's the ability to communicate telepathically with your twin. I guess it works the same way with quadruplets," Zander explained.
"Wow, so Beatrix, you are a quadruplet. That is so exciting. It would have been better if you were identical," Dimitri beamed.
"I still hate you, Dimitri. You left me and you never came back. I loved you - I still do."
Dimitri walked up to her, and he held both her hands. "I am dreadfully sorry I did that Trixie. I was quite fond of you too. You see when I took off to America six years ago. I had every intention to return to Britain after attending the supernatural meeting. But fate stepped in. I found my mate."
"What?"
"Yes, and after a couple of months together something happened..., " Dimitri stared at Zander as he spoke. "I assumed she died, only to find out years later that she's still alive and was kidnapped," he took out the note and presented it to Beatrix.
"Prudence," she whispered. "This is her doing."
Imogen hurried over and she examined the note. "Yes, I can feel her essence from this piece of paper."
"That fucker, took my sister too. He is going to die bloody, " Zander clenched his fists. "Did Freya mentioned anything else that might help us find them?"
Imogen focused for a fraction then she said, "She told me that he needed the energies of the most powerful supernatural creatures from every species... Something about the powers of the five."
"Why would Lucifer need the powers of the five?" Isis gasped.
"What is that?" Zander asked.
"Every supernatural creature falls under five categories," Isis gave them a quick schooling.
1.) The shifters, which consist of werewolves, bears, dragons and other shifters.
2.) Witches (light and dark).
3.) Vampires
4.) Faes (elves, fairies, ogres, giants, dwarves, mermaids, leprechauns, imps and a lot of other unmentionables.)
And lastly.
5.) Hybrids.
Isis also explained to them that she doesn't know about any hybrid who possess such great powers that Lucifer might be interested in. "The ones I know, can't even lift a small car," she chuckled.
"That reminds me, Freya said he had a very powerful hybrid there - a werewolf-vampire hybrid," Imogen revealed.
Everyone gasped.
"That's impossible. There has never been such a hybrid before. Every werewolf who was turned died only seconds later," Zander scoffed.
"About that - When I contacted you about Zoey's death - I did not tell you how she died," Dimitri ran a hand over his neck.
"You didn't. You filthy bloodsucker." Zander had an idea of what he was about to confess.
"Look, she wanted us to be fully mated. So she begged me to turn her."
Zander slowly approached him. Everyone waited for him to explode, but he didn't. "You killed my sister?"
"No - well apparently she's not dead - maybe half dead, but her heart still beats."
"Do you understand how dangerous that was? You probably killed Malia."
"I am sure Zoey's wolf is fine," Dimitri mumbled.
"We won't know until we find her," Zander scoffed.
"But wait, I just remember something. The hybrid that's declared to be the most powerful is born and not bitten and possesses the blood of all the other four supernatural species," Isis pondered.
"Imogen, didn't Freya mentioned something about a little girl that's a born hybrid?" Beatrix asked.
"Yes, she says it's Lucifer's niece."
"Lucifer doesn't have a niece and even if he does, she wouldn't possess the blood of a witch, a vampire, a werewolf and a fae." Isis wondered some more.
"I wonder who it could be then?" Zander sighed.
"Hmm," Isis hummed.
"Well, at least we know who has Zoey. Now we just have to figure out where he is keeping her," Dimitri added.
"There's just something else not sitting right with me," Isis grumbled. "He killed Carlisle as soon as he took him. So, why not kill Zoey?"
"You have a point. Uncle Carlisle was just as strong as my father and me. So, he drained his powers right away - So, why keep Zoey alive all these years and not drain her powers?" Dimitri agrees.
"Unless he doesn't know how," Zander suggested.
"Or unless the spell is not working because he doesn't have the right hybrid," Isis added.
"Can somebody help us please?" Declan groaned as he picked his body up off the ground.
"Delilah!" Imogen rushed to their side. Declan was helping Delilah to her feet. "Get your paws off my girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?" Declan was shocked. "Is all the witches in this coven a lesbian?" he sighed and hopped over to Zander and the others. "Why is everybody so serious?"
"Let's all grab a seat around the bonfire. We have a lot to discuss," Isis announced.
"Hey man, don't worry. We'll get you laid in no time, but let me fill you in on what you missed," Dimitri explained everything to Declan.
"No way! Then what happened next?" Declan stared in amusement as Dimitri told him about the Powers Of The Five.
