                    HAZEL'S POV
I was there, listening to Zander and Isis discussing me like I wasn't even in the room.
What the fuck did they think?
Did they assume I was just gonna do as I was told?
Abso-fucking-lutely not.
"I will do it, Isis - if that's the only way to save Hazel, then I'll turn her," Zander grunted.
"Ok, first you'll need -"
"Isis, let me stop you right there, no one is turning me unless I choose to be turned."
"But, Kitten - "
"Shut up Zander, I'm not done talking." His mouth closed instantly. "And put me down, I want to stretch my feet."
He hesitantly placed me on my feet.
"Deary, I think turning you is the easiest way to save you," Isis suggested.
"Ahh, Isis, you said the easiest way out - but not the only way. What is it you're not telling us?" I dug for more info from the witch.
"Nothing gets past you, Hazel. You're just like Lucinda," she chuckled. "There is another way, but -, " she trailed off.
"But what, Isis?" I snapped my fingers.
"You'll need Magdalena's help."
"Who?" I asked, confused.
"She's the queen of the faes," Zander answered. "But why do we need her help?" Zander snorted.
"Ever since the mating ceremony I've picked up something odd about Hazel - I sense fae blood in her."
Zander and I both gasped. "How is this possible?" Zander rubbed his tired eyes.
"This is freaking crazy," I paced around.
"I don't know. The only person who could give you answers is Queen Magdalena," Isis sighed.
"But how do we get in contact with the queen?" I asked.
Isis perched on the couch and intertwined her fingers. "We'll have to go to her."
"Fuck," Zander hit the wall.
Isis and Zander were making strange eye contact with each other. I tried to read Zander, but my mind was exhausted. "What is going on?"
Zander blew out a huge breath. He waved me over to him, and then he sat on a lazy-boy.
I knew he needed me to comfort him, so I went and rested on his lap. I ran my fingers through his silky ebony hair. A purr rumbled from deep within his chest. "Kitten, that feels good. When are you going to forgive me? I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Zoey, but I need your body so badly."
"We'll talk about your needs later," I winked, and he chuckled. "Now tell me about this Queen of the Faes."
"I've known her since I was a pup. My dad was a part of the supernatural council. Queen Magdalena is the head of the council," Zander explained.
"She is also said to be the oldest and most powerful supernatural being - well, except for the chosen one and his mate," Isis added. "Some believe that she is mother nature herself."
"Wow, she sounds amazing," I admitted.
"Yeah, until you piss her off," Zander chuckled. "Six and a half years ago, I did something in her presence that almost cost me my life. She told me she would kill me the next time she sees me."
"What did you do Zander?" I questioned.
"I will tell you about that another time. For now, tell me who is this Harper you keep dreaming about?"
"I don't really know, it's like I know her somehow or I'm supposed to know her. In my dream she's always running from a strange being - she's always so terrified," I sighed.
"Deary, when did you start dreaming of her?" Isis inquired.
"Maybe a week after my wedding."
"I see. Are the dreams like the ones you had before you met Zander?"
"No, when I dreamt of Zander it was actually like it was real. I couldn't tell the difference between my dream and reality," I confessed.
"Yes. That's because you dream-walked to Zander and Zander dream-walked to you. So, it was indeed happening for real," Isis explained.
"Kitten, are the dreams of Harper always the same?"
"Yes, they are. We're always at a river, the background is blurry, but she keeps calling for me to save her and I called out her name - then the figure kills her, and then I wake up."
"I think your dreams are premonitions," Isis said.
I thought about what she said, and I felt she was right. "Jesus fucking Christ, when will I get a break?"
"Soon Kitten. Just let us deal with one problem at a time."
"Zander is right. At the moment we need to ensure your safety. So controlling your powers is a priority right now," Isis exhaled.
"Ok. So, how do we get to Magdalena?" I asked them.
"We must travel across the Serpents Valley, then through Dead Man's Cave and finally, we'll have to find the door to the Dragonflame Summit - none of this will be easy," Isis answered.
"Ok, when do we leave?"
"Kitten. I think you need to rest for a couple of hours first and we'll regroup in the morning. I need to decide whom to take with me on this voyage," Zander sighed.
"You're right. I do feel tired."
"Hazel go clean up yourself. I'll whip up a batch of potion to help you with the premonitions. They'll stop them for a while giving you enough time to rest," Isis said.
"Sounds great, Isis. Zander, I'll see you later."
"Ok Kitten. I love you," he kissed me, and then he got an omega to accompany me to my room.
ZANDER'S POV
Isis was throwing me a strange look. I knew what she was going to say. "I will tell her about the dangers of the Fae world tomorrow."
"You know that any human who crosses over to the Fae world belongs to the Queen forever," she warned.
"I know Isis, but Hazel is not a human now is she. She has Helios' blood running through her veins plus werewolf blood. I think we'll be ok."
"I hope so. But remember Faes are not good or evil. They don't choose sides."
Isis was right. Faes kept the balance between good and evil. Plus, they hate being treated as equals or as lesser beings. They want the supernatural communities to worship them. But Queen Magdalena was the most cunning of them all. She actually wanted to kill me when I refused to marry Amy six and a half years ago.
This should be fun, I thought to myself.
"Trust me. I will let no harm come to Hazel. I just hope the Queen will be able to help with Hazel's powers. But Isis, why do you think Hazel has Fae blood?"
"I assume she has Fae ancestors," Isis sighed and my eyes widened.
"Could Hazel be the hybrid Lucifer is looking for?" My blood ran cold because deep down I knew the answer.
"To be honest, I think she is. She has shifter blood and fae blood. Now we must test if she has vampire and witch blood. I know a way I can check for witch blood, but the vampire blood test is more complicated. I expect I will need Dimitri's help to do that."
"Shit, Isis this is too much. I think we should keep this from Hazel for the time being."
"Sure thing, Alpha. Did you find the notebook your parents left for you?"
"I forgot about that Isis."
"Just so you know, it's under the floorboard over by the window," Isis told me as she left to go attend to Hazel.
I walked up to the window, and I stomped on the floorboard until I heard a hollow sound. I lifted the plank and found the journal.
It was covered in dust, so I blew on it, revealing the name Alpha Knight on the cover.
I was about to open it when Gerry, Chastity, and the twins busted in my office.
"What is it now?" I roared.
"Sorry Alpha. But the Hunters sent out an emergency alert. They are hosting a meeting at 8 pm tomorrow," Gerry explained.
"I received the same message Gerry got, but I'm afraid I can't go because they know I betrayed them when I stole the antidote to save Talon," Chastity announced.
"So I'll go alone. Remember the deal Alpha, I'll be your inside man," Gerry smirked.
"That was before you became a werewolf, Gerry. The building will be warded against supernatural creatures. The air vents will pump wolf's bane plus you won't be able to pass security. They'll be testing people before entry," Chastity sighed.
"Shit, but maybe Isis could help - I mean,"
"No Gerard. It will be too risky," I grunted.
"Alpha, I think we need to hear what they're planning, and I think Gerry is the best thing we got," Topher said with his head lowered to the ground.
"My brother is right Alpha, especially since the High Lord will be there," Talon bent his head in submission.
"The High Lord will be there?" I steered my question towards Chastity.
"Yes, Zander, which is why this is so important. Only a few persons know where he lives, and he has never made it to a meeting before. He always sends his right-hand man, Conroy," Chastity announced. "But tomorrow he will be there. It must be something big for him to be coming out in the open."
Chastity was right, but I hate sending my members into danger.
"Gerry are you sure you will be able to pull this off?"
"Yes, Alpha. I will be ok. We really need to know what they're planning."
"Ok, Talon you take Gerry to see Isis. She's finishing up with Luna. Tell her what's up."
"Yes, Alpha. Come on Gerry, let's go." Talon and Gerry scurried away.
"Topher you take Chastity to see Izzy. I can smell her ovulation from here, she smells sick, plus she doesn't look good."
"I don't feel good either," Chastity asserted.
"Oh, baby. Why didn't you say something," Topher picked her up bridal style and headed for the pack doctor.
I was exhausted, I just needed to make love to my wife. Gidian agreed.
'Alpha!' The panicked voice of Rollo came screaming through the mind-link.
'What's wrong Rollo?'
'It's Amy - I came to the bungalow to bring her food when I noticed she is gone.'
'What the fuck. I told you to monitor her - Did you searched the area where we found her?'
'Yes, we did. Beatrix cast a location spell, and it shows that she is not in the White Tree Coven anymore.'
'Shit! She must have slipped through the vail.'
'I think so too Alpha and I think she's on her way to Wolf's Pond.'
This was just what I needed. A psycho she-wolf who was obsessed with me.
'Ok, Rollo. I know you are smart enough to already be heading home.'
'I took off as soon as the witches told me she left. I'm a few hours away.'
'Ok, see you in a few.'
I closed the mind-link, and I sent out a warning for my warriors manning the borders to look out for her.
Now I must ensure Hazel was safe. I was afraid of what Amy might do when she finds out I have a mate.
'We cannot let her near Hazel when she gets here,' Gidian bellowed.
'I know Gidian - I won't let her near our girl.'
MOON GODDESS, PLEASE HELP ME.
