CARSON'S POV
"What in the Halloween Town is going on here?" I questioned as I beamed on confused.
'It stinks like Satan's ass in here!'Jinx protested.
'I know buddy,' I told him as I absorb the surrounding.
Undead creatures of all shapes and sizes moved around leisurely as they conducted their day-to-day business like they were ordinary living citizens.
"This is fucking weird," I complained as I spat to my left, scrunching up my nose at the rancid odour the atmosphere was producing.
"For fuck's sake!" Alpha's growl interrupted me. I hastily glanced to my left. I saw Dimitri handing Alpha a silk handkerchief, Zander grabbed it and cleaned my saliva from his face. He beamed at me with an exhausted expression in his eyes.
I wondered if he was just simply done with my fuckery.
'Apologise you, idiot!' Jinx warned.
I flashed Alpha my boyish grin. "Sorry Alpha."
Alpha exhaled and relaxed his shoulders, then he looked some more at the surrounding.
'That was close,' I told Jinx.
'I swear, one of these days you're gonna get us killed.'
'Come on, I'm Carson. Even the big bad Alpha Zander can't resist my charm.'
'Carson, sometimes I wonder when you will grow a brain.'
"It really stinks here," Zander added. "Isis, is there anything you can do about the smell?"
Isis didn't answer.
"Isis?" Alpha turned to her, and he noticed her gawking at a huge statue on our right. "Are you alright?" He asked her, tapping her shoulder lightly to get her attention.
Isis shook off her stunned expression. "Yes, I'm fine, Zander." She cleared her throat. "I will see if I can mask the smell a bit."
"Ok, Isis," he nodded.
"Lance," Isis hailed to the ghoul.
"Yes madam," it answered.
"What does this statue represent?" Isis was curious.
"Ah, I see you've found a liking to this great depiction of one of Dead Man's Cave's heroes. This one here was called Irena. Many centuries ago, she came to Dead Man's Cave, and she saved us from evil forces that tried to attack us. They built this statue to commemorate the good she has done for the folks in this town."
"I see. I would love to know more about this Irena," Isis said in awe.
"Yes, but first I must take you to meet Major Skully, the leader of our town. He will answer any questions you may have."
"With a name like that, he should be an interesting guy," Dimitri stated.
Lance turned and looked the vampire up and down. He gave him a disgusted look. "Maybe you should stay behind, vampire. Major Skully won't appreciate the way you live your undead life."
"Why?" Dimitri wanted to know.
"You are an undead creature like many of us, but you weren't confined to spend eternity here in Dead Man's Cave, so that won't sit well with the Major."
"Sounds like he's a major douchebag to me," Declan muttered under his breath.
Fuck, I forgot he was here with us.
"I'm sorry. What was that young wolf?" Lance asked.
"Nothing, Lance - nothing that I care to repeat," Declan rolled his eyes.
Dimitri grinned at the thought of his bestie standing up for him.
"Declan, maybe you should stay behind with Dimitri. The rest of us will continue with Lance, and we will meet back here - say in a couple of hours." Zander ordered.
"Splendid sounds like a decent plan," Dimitri replied with too much excitement. Now I had to remain behind too to see what these two were up to.
"Alpha, can I stay with them too?" I pouted.
"Do whatever you want, Carson," Zander took Luna's hand and followed behind Lance as he led the way.
"You guys, please stay out of trouble," Luna offered us a wary look.
Julia, James, and Isis all shook their heads at us as they shuffled off.
I crossed my fingers behind my back. "Don't worry about us Lun-Lun we'll be good."
"Speak for yourself, mutt," Dimitri whispered to me as he waved goodbye cheerily to the group.
I could have sworn I heard Alpha promising to murder us if we burnt the place down.
Who the fuck does he think we are? A bunch of toddlers?
"Ohhh, look a food cart!" Declan clapped.
"Let's go grab some treats, Decky!" I wrapped an arm around Declan's neck and gave his head a knuckle rub.
"His nickname is Dec," Dimitri scoffed in jealously as he rolled his eyes.
"Aww, don't be jealous, Dim. You are still my best bro." Declan draped his arm around Dimitri's shoulder and pulled him closer.
The three of us giggled as we skipped our way over to the snack cart.
'Let the fuckery begin!' Jinx fretted. I ignored him.
Declan's mouth watered as his eyes smiled at the food on the food cart.
I don't know how the fuck he could be hungry with the whole place smelling like inside a rotting corpse.
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I heard the carnival anthem playing.
"Step right up! Step right up! Zombies and ghouls, banshees and golems!" A fat clown announced as his crooked lips fester into a frightening frown. We paused as he continued. "Step right up and try something new! That's right folks, we're tasting new things today." It pointed at us. I jumped to the side, making sure his nasty finger was pointing directly at Declan.
"Guys, maybe we should go with Alpha and the others," Declan quickly changed his mind about feasting on whatever is on that food cart. Everyone and their ancestors knew by now that Declan is afraid of clowns.
"Nonsense," I shoved him forward. "Don't be scared, he's just one clown, Dimitri and I will protect you."
Two more clowns emerged from behind the fat one. Both of their faces were painted with a sad, dreadful look. Their eyes, however, examined us with an ominous glare. They wobbled over to meet us. Declan tried to run, but Dimitri and I held him in place.
"Don't run, Dec," Dimitri whispered. "This is your chance!"
Declan swayed his head rapidly from side to side. "No Dim. You are crazy - I can't - I could never." He rumbled.
I was just standing there, listening in confusion.
"What are you two fuckers babbling about?" I asked.
"Dimitri here is trying to get me to lose my virginity," Declan told me.
I knew they love each other, but I didn't realise they were in love.
"Oh, I see," I swallowed. "So does Alpha know?"
"What the hell does Zander have to do with this?" Dimitri gave me a perplexed look.
"I mean you are mated to Zoey and here you are still tryna fuck Declan - I mean there is nothing wrong with being curious, but I find it disgusting when you are mated to my Alpha's sister." As soon as I finished what I was saying, I felt a sharp grip on my jaw.
