DECLAN'S POV
The loose gravel crunched beneath my boots as I shifted my weight on my feet, cementing them to the ground as I prepared myself to fight if need be.
It was inches away now, it bowed its head and stretched a skinless arm in my direction for me to shake.
I was hesitant at first but I took his hand anyway. "I'm Major Skully."
He had impossibly enormous hands - his over-enthusiastic handshake could snap a human's wrist right off. His tight grip shattered the bones in my wrist. I didn't flinch, I refused to show weakness. I pulled my hand away without making a sound.
Good thing I had supernatural healing.
"I'm Declan and these things on my shoulders are my friends, Dimitri and Carson," I introduced us.
'Wait! Didn't Alpha and the others leave to go see Major Skully?' Maddox questioned.
'Yes, so it's either this thing is lying about who he is or Alpha is being led into a trap.'
"Are you the leader of this town?" I asked.
"I was until I got overthrown."
"By who?"
"An evil Banshee called Cedella. She took over from me almost a decade ago," Major Skully sighed.
"But Lance, the gatekeeper told us he was taking my other friends to see you."
"Poor Lance, he has been away so long he doesn't know I'm not in charge anymore - you'll need to take me to see them," Major Skully sighed again.
"We're not taking you anywhere until you fix us," Dimitri cussed.
"I second that," Carson seethed.
"You're a Lich and I don't trust you," Dimitri declared.
"A Lich?" I looked over to Dimitri.
"Yes, so that means he was once a very powerful wizard. He studied necromancy and it's his greed for power is why he deliberately used rituals to turn himself into the undead. Their main goal is to have other undead creatures worshipping them, just like how Billy here seems to think he is a God or something. Liches' main goal in their undead life is to become a God," Dimitri explained.
"Fair enough, but you can't blame me for what I had these clowns do to you guys - all I wanted was a bit of vampire's venom and the hair of a werewolf with high ranked blood."
"So you had to turn us into a slug and bat to get it?" Carson inquired.
"Actually, those treats were made over two centuries ago, I guess they've been out too long so the spell got too weak. You guys were supposed to turn into your most feral forms," Skully grinned.
"That would explain why Dimitri sprouted horns for a second and my wolf also felt feral for like a minute," Carson asserted.
"Ok, so how do you fix us?" Dimitri grunted.
"How about you release me from my shackles and I'll tell you," Skully held up his sleeves to show us his shackles.
"How do we know you won't try anything funny?" Carson asked.
"Of course, I will, I am a Lich, but I promise I won't kill you - I can't even if I wanted to. I made a promise to Irena that I would give you safe passage when the time came."
"Irena?" I was curious.
"Yes, that's one of the many names she went by. The white-haired woman you are travelling with looks exactly like her too. At first, I thought it was her, but Irena died a long time ago." He explained. He had a sad look in his eyes - I meant sockets.
"You seemed to miss this Irena," I added.
"Yes, she was a friend. Now, who's gonna spit on my shackles first?" Major Skully cackled.
"Will it work? I mean we are not ourselves right now!" Dimitri scoffed.
"That's ok, your vampire venom is all over the cup you drank from, now all I need is the virgin wolf's hair."
"Should we trust him?" I asked the guys.
"Yes we should, I wanna be beautiful again, so go and do what you have to do," Carson argued.
"Can't believe I'm agreeing with Carson, but he's right," Dimitri exhaled.
"Ok, but if you try anything, you'll regret it," I sent a warning to Major Skully, he nodded his skull in understanding.
The clown collected my hair and he followed Major Skully's instructions as he mixed it with Dimitri's venom. The concoction was glowing yellow. He dropped a few droplets on the shackles and with a tiny boom, they vanished.
The Lich grinned as he flexed his boney muscles.
"Don't keep us waiting, Lich," Dimitri seethed.
"Oh yes. You'll need zombie's eyeballs, Banshee's teeth, the blood of any virgin creature and - this last one will be difficult to get, but you'll need the flame of a Dragon."
"Do you think we're fucking stupid? Do you expect us to believe you would just give us the ingredients like that?" Dimitri squealed. "You were the one who did this to us in the first place - I still don't understand why you'd want to turn us feral. There's something you're not telling us."
"You caught me, the truth is Cedella's weakness is feral vampires and werewolves. My plan was to turn you feral, get your venom to be freed then blackmail you to help me in exchange for the ingredients to turn you back to your original selves, but the universe had other plans I see."
"Well, who told you I would do what you want while I am feral?" Carson made a point.
"You wouldn't have a choice, if the spell had worked, I would control you. You would have to do whatever I say -Kill whomever I wanted you to kill." He hummed the last part sending Maddox's ears to stand like antennas.
'Maddox, what is it?'
'He just lied, I can smell it through the stench in here. Just keep an eye on him.'
'Don't worry bud, I'll keep two eyes on him.'
'Make it four, I have mine on him as well.'
"So what's next?" I asked Major Skully.
"Just take me in the direction where Lance went, but first let's stop by the strip club - maybe I can help you get one of the ingredients needed for the spell."
"Yeah, and which one is that?" I asked.
"Zombie's eye," Major Skully stated.
"Cool," Carson grinned.
"Dec, maybe we can find you a stripper to fuck," Dim chuckled.
"No, this is serious. We don't have time for any of this fuckery right now," I sighed.
"Come on, don't be such a killjoy - we go in, we get the eyeballs and you get some pussy - two birds, one stone," Carson explained.
"You guys are killing me," I rolled my eyes as I followed Major Skully towards the strip club.
