                    ???'s POV
The dragon roared then puckered its lips, blowing a stream of fire around them, showing Julia that it could burn them to a crisp at any moment if she came closer.
Julia got scared now.
Declan's cough intensified as he got a whiff of the dragon's breath. Its breath smelled like brimstone and its glowing yellow eyes stared at Julia as it licked its lips like she was a steak, saying "eat me." Its great green wings shuddered like it was cold.
Julia stood straight, and the dragon huffed. A puff of smoke leaked from its nostrils like steam. It liked the challenge. Brave people tasted better.
"You will not eat me!" Julia scolded. Reading its mind like an open book. She swallowed her fear and ran her hand over its purple, scaly knee. "You are beautiful." Julia spoke telepathically.
The dragon's eyes slit, shocked at how this creature could read its mind and also speak to it through a mindlink.
"How did you do that?" It asked Julia.
"I just can," Julia replied.
Terrified of this newfound ability, the dragon bared its sharp teeth that could bore into concrete with ease. Declan realized what was about to go down and immediately transformed into Maddox.
Again the dragon was stunned as it gulped, swallowing the ball of fire it was about to let rain down on Julia.
"Stop, she's just scared, that's all," Julia tried to reason with Maddox, but he was still gnashing and nipping at the dragon. "Hazel, try to see if you can talk some sense into him."
"Maddox, stand down, now," Hazel used her Luna tone on him and Maddox whimpered until he transformed back into Declan.
The dragon was shaking, afraid of what will happen now that werewolves have found them.
It opened its mouth to burn them. "No, Stop!" Julia shouted, and the dragon stopped. Even though it didn't want to, it couldn't resist obeying. It looked at Julia now, closely examining her. It lowered its head to her face. Her scaly snout inches from Julia's lips. It sniffed Julia, then it licked her, rubbing its snout on her face.
The dragon lowered its head to Julia's feet in complete submission.
"What is it doing?" Declan asked.
"I think it likes Julia," Isis whispered, finding the exchange strange.
Julia patted its head and giggled.
A few moments later, in a bright glow, the dragon was changed into a beautiful girl. Her blonde hair was a tangled mess down to her waist and her beautiful ashen skin was so white she seemed like an albino. But her yellow lizard eyes and scale skin from her navel to her private were the only things that told she wasn't human.
She collapsed to the ground, panting and coughing. Her body was weak and there were purple bruises all over her arms and legs.
Julia ran to her side. "Are you OK?"
The pretty dragon smiled in response. She was too weak to speak as she was still catching her breath.
Zander and James appeared, with Carson on Zander's shoulder and Dimitri on James'.
"Kitten, what happened? I felt your distress, but I couldn't reach you through the link," Zander embraced Hazel.
"I'm ok, Zander. I'm just tired," Hazel assured him.
"What is your name?" They moved their attention back to Julia, who was talking to the young girl.
"I am Seraphina the Sulphurous," she said as she tried to stand.
"Just take it easy," Julia warned.
"I need to go to Scorch. He must be worried," she explained.
"Who?" Julia questioned.
"My big brother."
"Isis, could you help a fellow out with some clothes?" Declan begged, while Julia used her jacket to cover Seraphina.
"It's OK. We don't cover our meat suits here. Our nakedness is nothing to be ashamed of," Seraphina explained, pushing away Julia's jacket while she slipped her hair over her shoulders, revealing her firm perky breasts.
It was a surprised when all the guys looked away, blushing like a teenage boy who was kissed for the first time.
"I see." Isis cleared her throat.
"You all must remove your clothes if you want to enter our home," Seraphine explained. "It's the way of the dragon."
They all realized why Charon and the dwarf told them young Tia wasn't allowed in the Dragon's den. It would scar the poor child for life.
"I don't think so. We are not getting naked," Hazel told her. Isis and Julia laughed because they weren't getting naked, either.
Isis quickly threw some clothes she conjured for Declan to wear.
Suddenly, a young woman around her early 20s ran outside. Her black hair fell in glistening sheets around her ankles. Her yellow eyes zeroed in on Seraphina.
"Seraphina," she yelled. "I heard your dragon's screech."
"Layla," Seraphina whispered before she collapsed to the ground. "It's ok. It's our queen." That's all Seraphina said before she passed out.
"What did you do to her?" Layla roared. She ran towards her friend, shoving Julia out of the way.
"Nothing. We don't want any trouble. Seraphina was just about to take us to see Scorch," Julia spoke calmly, her voice trickled down through Layla's ears. The dark-haired girl looked at Julia and her eyes got teary like she was looking at the Moon Goddess herself.
"I'm sorry, Madam. I didn't mean to push you." she fell to her knees and kissed Julia's feet. Everyone wondered what that was about. Layla wiggled her nostril as she stood to her feet. Her eyes then landed on Isis. "I will take you to see Scorch, but no weapons are allowed inside."
"Don't worry, we don't have any weapons," Zander assured her.
"I'm talking about the witch. She can't come inside unless Scorch says so," Layla corrected.
"I will be fine. You all go without me." Isis stated.
"To hell, I'm not leaving you here alone," James grunted. "You guys go on inside. I'll stay behind with Isis."
Zander nodded his head. Declan lifted Seraphine in his arms, bridal style.
"Very well then, follow me," Layla insisted as she led them inside.
