???'s POV
"What the hell is a witch doing here?" Scorch yelled, his eyes flashing orange as his blood boiled. He gently set his sister on the ground before standing to his feet again. "There are no weapons allowed in here," he fumed. Smoke literally seeped from his ears, and his eyes were bloodshot and angry. Dragons believed witches were the ultimate evil weapons because of how the Moon Goddess created them, with the help of a dark witch.
"Just calm down. Isis means you no harm," Zander explained calmly, while he raised his hands in protest. Scorch ignored the Wolfman.
"I should burn this witch down to the bone," Scorch roared as he attempted to run towards the old woman.
"Oh, stop it now," Julia cursed. "And put me down," she yelled. Two macho dragons carefully placed their queen down while Scorch paused in his tracks, staring daggers at Isis. "Now, why do you hate witches so much?"
"They are evil," Layla explained. "We weren't as lucky as the wolves to be solely created by the Moon Goddess. Selene used a witch to help create us, and when she wasn't pleased with the outcome, she condemned us. The witch tricked the Moon Goddess, then laughed in her face when we turned out unblendable with the human world."
"Unblendable? I doubt that's a word," Julia sighed. "But not all witches are evil. Isis has been a friend of mine for two decades," Julia explained. Scorch seemed to soften a bit.
"Well, my queen, if this one is a guest of yours we can't protest. This is your home to command now." Scorch bowed. He then turned to Isis. "Make yourself at home, witch."
"There'll be no need for that, young dragon. I do not intend to stay too long," Isis explained.
"Good, well, in that case let me know if there is anything I can get you guys. Scorch is at your service."
"We'll keep that in mind." Isis grinned and Scorch snarled.
"Miss Isis, the drag —*cough—on's fla— *cough* — me," Carson coughed out.
"What was that Carson?" Isis inquired.
"Dra— *cough*—gon's fla—*cough*—me," Carson coughed again. Isis looked at him lost. She had no idea what he was trying to tell her. Dimitri rolled his eyes.
"For the love of God. He is telling you to remember to get the dragon's flame, the last ingredient needed for the potion to turn us back." Dimitri huffed.
"Oh, yes. I almost forgot. Scorch, can I trouble you for some of your Dragon flames?" Isis inquired. Scorch was grunting, despising the fact that a witch was addressing him and that he was acknowledging her back.
"Fine, how much do you need and how strong do you want the flame to be, witch?"
"At this point, the stronger, the better, young dragon."
"I bet I'm older than you," Scorch grumbled.
"I doubt that," Isis retorted.
"Follow me to the Boiling Room, I'll give you my flames around there and take the two creatures with you," Scorch stormed off as he spoke.
"I'll have to put you guys to sleep while I make the potion. It's the first part of the instructions," Isis informed Dimitri and Carson.
"OK, Isis, I'm ready," Dimitri sighed. Isis took the bat and slug in her arms. She mumbled some of her mumbo-jumbo then she blew on them. A green mist encased the two tiny creatures. Their tiny bodies shook a few times before they got drowsy.
"Sleep now. When you wake again, you'll be yourselves," Isis spoke before they fell into a deep slumber.
"You go to Scorch now Isis, we'll wait for you guys out here," Zander added as Isis took the sleeping creatures towards the Boiling Room.
"And Isis," Julia called to her. Isis paused and craned her neck to look at Julia. "When you're done playing witch, you will tell me why you looked so terrified when you were told I am their so-called Dragon Queen."
"You got it, Your Majesty," Isis joked, but the werewolves sniffed out the fact that Isis' body ran cold when she spoke. They watched as she disappeared into the Boiling Room.
"Now what?" Declan asked.
"Now I show you all around," Layla answered. "But first, let me take Seraphina to her resting chambers. Her meat suit is exhausted from being in dragon form for so long."
"How long was she like that?" Hazel asked.
"Almost three days. Her dragon got angry after her Eternal was kidnapped."
"Her Eternal?" Hazel questioned.
"Eternals are what we call our mates, since once we meet our mates, we get to live for an eternity if no one kills us," Layla explained while she took Seraphina in her arms.
"That's fascinating," Declan was amused. They all followed Layla into the resting chambers. "Woah, this is nice," Declan praised as he noticed the sky outside through the open crater atop the gigantic nest that Layla placed Seraphina in.
"She should be out for the rest of the day," Layla kissed her on the forehead and Zander picked up on something.
"You are in love with her," Zander mentioned, and the others got quiet.
Layla's face converted into shock, but she quickly brushed it off. "Well, she isn't mine to mate. She belongs to Ignatholon The Lavatongue. A weird entity that appears and disappears in a black mist captured him."
Zander froze. "When did this happen?"
"A few moons ago. Why?" Layla asked.
"That's why we are on this journey, so we can defeat the evil man in the dark smoke. He calls himself King Lucifer," Zander explained everything to Layla.
"Now I understand why Seraphina went after him. You see, Ignatholon was taken maybe three moons ago, which is the same as three months on the Earth realm. We thought the trolls killed him, but Seraphina told us a week ago that she saw him and his eyes. They were milk-white. When she came back to tell us, we thought she just missed him so much that she thought she saw him. Three days ago, we got word that a dragon was reigning fire on the little people's village nearby, and Seraphina went to go see for herself. She didn't come back, and Scorch forbade any of us from leaving the Tavern. He thought his sister might have been killed, and he didn't want to risk any more of us."
"So he left his sister out there to fend for herself?" Zander growled.
"No, but he knows Seraphina can take care of herself," Layla sighed. "We should let her rest. And Alpha, tell me more about this King Lucifer. How do we kill him?"
"Now you're speaking our language," Zander grinned. He relayed more details to Layla.
"So if Sera said she saw Igna and his eyes were white, that means he is under Lucifer's spell." Layla gulped. "Then we must seek the Dragon King's help. He needs to know all of this."
"But how do we get his attention?" Hazel asked.
"Our queen will have to go to him," Layla looked over to Julia.
"Oh no, no no! What if he eats me?"
"Then you'll like it," Declan chuckled and Hazel shot him a warning glare, followed by Zander's black eyes. "Sorry, Alpha, Luna. This isn't time for jokes." Declan cleared his throat.
"Don't worry, Queen Julia, our King would rather die a million and one deaths before he hurt you. He has been waiting for you forever. That's why he locked himself up on top of the summit. He promised himself that he'd stay celibate until you come for him."
"Layla, are you telling me he's a virgin?" Julia blushed.
"I don't know what you mean, my queen. But our King has never mated with anyone before. He waits to nest his queen and his one true eternal."
"That's the most romantic thing I've ever heard," Hazel sniffled.
"Ouch! Why did you punch me, Kitten?"
"Thank you for making me number 383," Hazel cried, tears streaming down her face, causing her eyes to be puffy. James held her in his arms, so she could cry on his chest. James' eyes strained on Zander.
"Kitten, I'm sorry," Zander felt bad, but it wasn't clear to him why Hazel was crying. It wasn't like she didn't know about his body count.
"It's OK Zander, I'm being silly. I knew this, I don't know why I'm crying," Hazel moved her head from her father's chest and wiped her eyes.
"Maybe it's your time of the month, Luna. You probably need something chocolatey to eat," Declan added, and Hazel looked at him with admiration.
"Thank you, Declan, you are so right. I'm probably PMSing right now," Hazel agreed.
Layla continued to explain to them about the Dragon King while they waited for Isis to return.
Meanwhile, Isis was brewing her potion. "Two zombie's eyes," Isis said as she dropped the balls into the mixture. She used a dry twig to stir the mixture. "Virgin's blood," she dropped a vile of Danika's blood that Dimitri collected in Serpentine." She stirred some more, Scorch watching her intensely while she jiggled her ass while she mixed her pot of magic. She grabbed something from her bag and, with a plop, she dropped two white pebble-looking things in the cauldron. "In goes the Banshee's teeth," she cackled. With a mighty breath, Isis blew on the concoction, and an eerie white smoke emitted from the pot of purple goo.
"Is it supposed to do that?" Scorch questioned.
"Now for the dragon flame," Isis said as he ignored Scorch's question.
"Well, you said you wanted it strong," Scorch mumbled as he grabbed his cock.
"What are you doing?"
"The flames from my dragonhood is stronger than the one from my mouth."
Isis blinked in response. "OK, do your business." Isis pointed at the pot. Scorch moved his penis over the mixture and stroked himself until he erupted. A stream of blinding flames shot into the cauldron, and with a sizzle, the liquid bubbled. "It's ready," Isis declared as she shoved Scorch out of the way.
She grabbed the bat first, and she opened his mouth. Using a syringe, she fed him some of the potion, then she waited.
